Minus one star as I thought the ladies toilets could of been abit cleaner.

Well what can I say? It was the best night out. I have not laughed so much in ages. Joey made the night, we met his alter ego…. the hens had an amazing evening. We had the food included in our package and it was lovely..thanks to joey for a fabulous evening 😘
F.Had a Bottomless brunch here and our server Louise was amazing! Didnt stop the whole time we were there and made sure we were topped up throughout! Was absolutely lovely and couldn't have tried harder to make sure we had a good time! Will definitely be coming back next time we are in Newcastle!!

J. D.I'd heard good things from my friends back in Swindon about this particular slug and let so thought I'd try it on a free weekend. Some people like football and some like golf but I like Slug and Lettuces and boy did this particular one not disappoint. Jo and Louise made me feel at home and the food is out of this world. I had a few beers which went down a treat. Another quiet day at the library..............not.

P. L.This place was chosen for food on one of our nights in the Toon! The food to be honest was very good indeed!! There was a reasonable choice of beers, but if you like cocktails, you will have a job to beat this place!! They even do cocktail trees with even a sparkler lit when it comes out!!! You will be parting with your cash though if you buy one of these…..

Like most slugs, it's got a very "cool" atmosphere with deep house playing in the background. I imagine it's pretty popular in the evening.

L. F.This was my first visit... We booked a table in advance(afternoon).. Me being awkward spotted a table that I would have preferred.. As this table was not pre-booked the lovely lady (sorry I didn't get her name) had no qualms about us moving to the table in question. I commend her customer service she was very busy due to short staff issues, yet she smiled and made us feel very comfortable even though it was quite visible that she was run off her feet! Fantastic job to the lady in question 🤗... We ordered a mix of picky foods which were delicious and well served... Cocktails were the star of the show at 2 for the price of one... HIC HIC says me who took advantage.. A very enjoyable day... Will definitely be back 😁

The smell of onion rings and naughty chicken bites filled the air over a lunch soirée, not your usual stag event.
The local londis isn’t too far either, convenience is number one with the snail and rocket, and my god is this place convenient, it was just across the road from my hostel.

Z. W.Arrived thinking it was gonna be a bransty arch wetherspoons sort of vibe, with that in mind, we rocked up in Nike shorts and un ironed t shirts. We instantly felt like a fish out of water. As it turns out, slug n lettuce appeared to be a fancy cocktail bar:( not a messy piss up pub. We persisted and marched on looking like reprobates from Compton. Sat down and ordered the most expensive bottle of old mout berries n cherries in the world. I was optimistic tho as I was hoping the food would match the drapes. I was wrong.
My chicken tikka curry was mediocre. I would even go as far to say it was microwaved. I was dissatisfied to say the least. For a second I thought I had covid the flavour so minimal. I double checked this wasn't the case, even tho the citrus was extortionate, it was very tasty. No need for a lateral flow test today. Phew. Any who, would recommend if your an Instagram influencer as everything was aesthetically pleasing, but if your a cheap food conoisseur like me, then this is not the place for you.

A. P.Beautiful food and excellent service, I attended a hen night afternoon tea the food presentation was 5* and tasted amazing the bird cages are fun and functional. The hen night was for all ages and it catered for all, the bar staff couldn't have been more helpful on the first floor.
