Passed by a few times as we’re staying in a cottage not far away! Decided to stop off for a meal this afternoon with our two Whippets in tow! Dogs are welcome and the staff are friendly and Very accommodating, We’re vegan and we had noticed a couple of options on the menu but was told most things can be veganised, we chose fish and chips! This was made using tofu, The portion size was generous and tasted very good it even came with vegan tartar sauce, we enjoyed it so much we’ve booked again.

Stayed here early July and impressed with the staff attentiveness, quality/ comfort of the room.
Food was excellent, fresh and arrived fast. Recommended.
....pity there was no real ale on draught (go on folks support the local ale brewers) !

Stopped today for lunch as part of a tour to Flodden battlefield. Excellent, friendly staff. Very efficient. Nice chicken sandwich, salad and crisps, with lemon tart and coffee to follow

My parents were visiting from Australia so we stayed in the cottage at the end of the pub which was great. Two good sized bedrooms. It would be a great place to spend a few days hiking in the area as it was self contained.
We ate at the pub for dinner and the portions were huge! My fish was just cooked (30 seconds more in the fryer would have been good) but it was very tasty. Breakfast the next day was very good too with the full English.
A lively pub with plenty of very friendly locals to have a chat to. Highly recommend!

Really fast and friendly service. Food was really good.
A bit more product knowledge would have made this 5 star as it would have helped with menu choices.
Really enjoyed our visit and would revisit in the future.
We had children's fish finger sandwich, pork and black pudding stack and Sunday lunch.

Certainly worth a visit.
There for lunch, the service was great, the food was great and the staff were very helpful and polite.
The choice of food and drink were very good, the portions were more than adequate, piping hot when required and reasonably priced.
There is disabled access to part of the venue, and the toilet space is a bit neat depending on the level of disability.
Overall it was a good experience, we will go back in the future.

Was so impressed by the welcome we had at this pub. We took our one year old, and our host was wonderfully welcoming, making sure she had crayons, and very friendly and attentive to us through the whole meal. We all had a great time and the food was very tasty too with a good variety on the menu. Would recommend

We popped in for Sunday lunch. The staff were really attentive and helpful. The food however wasn't great. The Yorkshire puddings were rock hard and the onion rings were chewy. Chips were triple cooked as in the must of been cooked Fri Sat and Sunday . We were disappointed as we pass this place often and always wanted to stop in. The stars are for the staff

Really nice place. Lovely room with plenty of room for the 3 of us. Very friendly staff and a great breakfast with the best porridge we have ever had. Would recommend this place

We stopped at the Blue Bell Inn for tea and was impressed by the menu and the service. The menu had some delicious vegetarian options that were a bit different, not the usual quiche or tartlet option and they were very tasty. The staff were very customer focussed and the whole experience was a pleasure. I thoroughly recommend a visit to the Blu Bell Inn.
