The sizzling noise and smell of good cooking hits you like a warm ray of sunshine on your back as you approach the Steak Hut. Takeaway food par excellence , all served up with a wide smile by owner Mark who takes pride in presenting his food in such a way you are salivating as he hands it over. He’s based in Newport but could hold his own on Fifth Avenue , New York , it’s that good. He’s won awards as best Takeaway in South Wales and after sampling his cooking you know immediately that the Judges got it right. Recommended.

Absolutely stunning food every time I’ve been there. Great price excellent quality ingredients and the most warm and friendly welcome from who ever serves you on the unit. Would recommend a visit it’s never to far to go for that food

There's not much to say except the food is absolute quality and great value for what you get, and the menu is quite extensive, with not just steak options on the menu. And to top it all off, mark is one of the most likeable people you will ever meet. He clearly enjoys what he does, and proud of the service he offers

Absolutely outstanding food cooked fresh in front of ur eyes. None of this warmed up stuff from other vans this is the genuine McCoy. If your about Newport you gotta pay this a visit even if it’s just to have a look and say hello. Absolutely stunning food from little steak hut, my favourite place for street food as love steak and peppercorn sauce, can’t see how anyone could leave a bad review about the service or the food or choice of menu it’s just the place to go in Newport if wanting a steak or takeaway food fast and delicious with great service!!!!!!!
