It's hard for me to give this review the food was lovely and service was incredible so both aspects should be worthy of a 5 star review. However, the availability of what we would have liked to order was disappointing. Considering it was Sunday a weekend day you would think plenty of stock available for a Sunday Lunch. The staff were great and I can't fault them same with the food, such a shame if what we wanted was available we would have been 5 stars.

Such a joy to visit here. The staff are always happy, kind and welcoming. A good vegan offering for both adults and children. Nice river view in the day and free parking (you need to use the machine inside to make this happen). We'll be back again soon!

Nice location on the riverbank which would make for a nice place to eat/drink if the suns out. As for food it’s okay - I had one of the largest beef burgers they offer for around £14.00 and for that money it was a very underwhelming burger in regards to size and flavour, the side of fries and coleslaw was small also. For £14.00 the meal should be much better in my opinion.

Staying at Premier Inn Newport which is along side Medina Quay Beefeater. We had dinner at Beefeater tonight (Saturday 19th September) Staff are very well prepared for covid restrictions and still very welcoming. Our meal was undoubtedly one of the best we have had for a long time. The steaks were cooked perfectly and very tender. We will definitely dine there again before leaving the island.

The price on the main menu is a little expensive for the amount you get but other than that they sell some very nice tasting meals. As well as this the staff here are very friendly. If you are looking for a meal which is better value for money then there is a daytime saver menu that you can choose from.

Absolutely brilliant. All you can eat breakfast, from complete fryed breakfast including things like black pudding and hash browns to cereals, fruits,toast, bagles, choc bread all the way to yogurts. Tea, coffee, lattes, three different juices and a smoothie. All coocked almost perfect, egg was not quite to my taste but simple I didn't pick it. 2 adults £19 and 3 kids are for free. Found this little gem while on the island. It’s great, the food tasted really nice and fresh. Considering they were short staff, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Spur of the moment visit. Friendly staff as soon as we came in. Decided to order lunch, absolutely delicious. The chicken wings were cooked to perfection. Nice enough but nothing special and not as good value as it used to be. Our younger waitress was great and called us all "my lovely" which we thought was a nice touch. There was always a little something missing from the meals like sauces etc which was just irritating and could have been rectified with more care

Just eaten here tonight with my family. All food was fresh and to a brilliant quality. Often I'm hesitant to order anything like calamari, scallops or prawns as lots of chain restaurants get the cooking of these ingredients so wrong. I ordered the our best ever surf and turf combo and it was amazing. The steak was just how I asked for it, the scallops and prawns were tasty, flavoursome and cooked beautifully, not over done, and the calamari was great to. So happy with my choice and felt like I wanted more of it as it was soooo good. Kids loved the decor of the labelled cow too and thought it was brilliant with its different names. Everywhere was safe and we felt happy to be there even with covid around. Staff amazing too. Brilliant gentleman who greeted us at the door and fantastic serving staff too. Thank you

We called in on the Mrdina at Lunchtime on a Friday and mmuch to our surprise given its location, the whole visit was really nice. The staff could not do enough for you extremely helpful and service excellent. I had the 2course meal on the lunchtime menu for under £10 and my partner had something from the make menu. Drinks arrived pretty quickly, server was asked to give us a minute as my partner wasn't quite sure, 20 minutes later he came back for our order. Food arrived , ribs looked very light on sauce see picture uploaded. Meat was so overcooked it was like sludge not enjoyable forced myself to to eat most of it because I was hungry. That bad even server didn't set machine to take tip. Shame always had positive experiencesbefore elsewhere, Server was going to pass feedback to kitchens didn't speak upduring meal only after second beer arrived relatively quickly.

We had the most fabulous waitress, her name is Kelly. She was happy and bubbly constantly throughout the evening! She kept us well topped up with drinks and ketchup! Her service never faltered. My husband and I have both managed restaurants in our time, we both agreed Kelly is an absolute vital part of your team, someone we would've loved to have had on our team back in our hospitality careers. She is GOLD!!! Don't lose her! The food we had was much better than our last visit, couldn't fault it at all! Really good tasting food, all cooked perfect, we cleared our plates, it was that great! We had a free meal voucher for my husbands birthday and we couldn't believe it when he could order a steak for nearly £20 and it was taken off our food bill!! Amazing!!!! We are a family of 6 so our meals out are rare. This voucher was so appreciated! We met another waiter and waitress throughout our evening, we didn't get their names but they were lovely too. The venue is clean, and a lovely atmosphere. Well done to all involved. We will DEFINITELY be back

Stayed in the hotel next door and had a meal deal here and actually found it to be friendly approachable and friendly.. Breakfast is nice with an array of stuff to enjoy as standard and as for dinner tried three different dishes for the three nights I was staying in the hotel and found the steak and burgers to be good value for money, but the chargrilled Salmon somewhat a slight let down.. Based on portion size in comparison to other meals available.. I had to take off a few items I wanted from the menu as had left my wallet on the ferry crossing over so didn't have extra cash, but remained five stars as upon explaining the situation to the staff I found the hospitality to be top notch as embarrassing as it was as a customer with a piece of paper as my only payment method... Overall an experience of beefeater, I won't forget and deserves the five stars. Had I of not lost my wallet, I would of happily left a tip as felt valued as a returning customer to the beefeater chain.

However, the staff who showed us the table was unfortunately not too accommodating and not to the standard when serving drinks! She had given us a table in a corner next to the computer till - not wholesome & enjoyable place to dine for which we ask to be seated somewhere else but she defiantly told us that all the tables were booked! We were there for an hour but not all the tables were taken. Not happy! To add to the injury, my ordered gin & tonic was without lemon & only a couple of ice and my sparkling water was without ice & lemon. The staff never asked me how I wanted my G&T & sparkling water. A definite let down! When I asked for lemon & ice, another staff (male) gave me a lecture on how the G&T be served with? I don't need a lecture....just serve it the way I wanted.... after all, I was paying for it and drinking it! ☹️☹️☹️. Will not come back in a hurry to this Beefeater Medina Quay and better not on a Sunday when these type of staff are scheduled to work!

14 of us were booked for a special birthday celebration. We had a table which was in a perfect, private area & the staff were so friendly & helpful. They went over & beyond to make our experience one to remember! The food was lovely with plenty to choose from. Went here for Sunday lunch and wasn't disappointed. When this establishment was Table Table, I had no interest in going here, but relaunching as a Beefeater I was curious. I'm really glad I tried it - the service was good and friendly. The food we ordered was very good, well cooked and presented, and had good flavour. There are plenty of options for all dietary requirements. The place seemed upbeat and clean with nice views of the Medina. I'm sure a summer visit would be even more pleasant!

My wife and I stayed at the adjacent Premier Inn, and used the Beefeater Restaurant at Medina Quay for our breakfast and Evening meals as it was the most convenient. An excellent choice, as it happens, as the food was wholesome, well prepared and presented by friendly, helpful staff, having a good knowledge of the Island, which proved invaluable due to our relatively short stay. - (We did finally locate the Prison on which my other half had become fixated for some unknown reason !! ) I have a dietary (gluten Free) problem which was fully catered for, to the extent that the chef prepared a g/f gravy (which I had brought with me) to have with the excellent lamb chops provided one evening. All in all, we enjoyed the catering, service and value that we had in an efficient 'Corona Free' environment, and to which we will surely return !! Many thanks !!

Not a bad place to eat even thou it is a little of the beaten track. The staff were very friendly and soon replaced the fish due to the fish seemed to have disappeared from inside the batter. They soon a apologised saying the fish had melted, now that was a first. The chips were excellent made better as they were unlimited. As for the restaurant its self very impressive and clean. The million dollar question would I go back, yes.

We have just had our Christmas dinner at this restaurant and were shocked at what we found. We had pre-booked the meal in November and when we told people that we were going we had a lot of negative responses. Reading reviews on-line didn't add to the appeal but having paid had very little choice but to make the best of it. We arrived early not expecting a great deal but were very surprised, a warm welcome and shown straight to our table. A young lady introduced herself to us and got us our drinks order. The starter course arrived and was very well presented, hot and tasty. The main course was very well portioned and once again, hot and tasty. The dessert course was no let-down either. All in all the whole experience was well above what we'd expected and would definitely be going back to try the 'every day' menu.

Can be understaffed early in the season if it suddenly gets busy. Staff are helpful polite and professional, bookings are advisable particularly during school holidays. They don't always have the full menu as some of their more exotic dishes are very popular and because it's an island, supply cant always keep up with demand. Having said That, I've never been disappointed with alternatives & I've eaten there 20 times in 2 months.

Went with some friends for a birthday meal and had a lovely time. The place has come a long way from its days as a Table Table. It has been totally refurbished and looks great. We were greeted by friendly happy staff and all enjoyed our meals. They specialise in steaks now and our server knew what she was talking about advising us on the best way to enjoy the different cuts. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and our server went the extra mile to make sure all out needs were met despite it being an extremely busy night. We all said we'd book again.

Well maintained Beefeater with friendly staff. The garden is very pleasant with its view of the river. Food is standard Beefeater fare but they seem to have had a new menu recently and the prices adjust to have increased slightly across the board. Went here for breakfast. In Seaclose Park near to River Medina. Disabled parking spaces. Parking is Pay and Display but free to blue badge holders. Beefeater is fully accessible to wheelchairs. You pay when you get there and everything food and drinks is unlimited. You help yourself to everything. Hot food buffet. Yogurts, pastries, cereal, toast your own bread/bagel. Hot drinks, fruit juices and smoothies. You can have as much as you want of anything if you pay for the full breakfast. Its a nice cosy place and staff are very friendly and will help you in any way they can. Food is nice and they go out of their way to make sure nothing runs out, especially the hot food. Really recommend here and it is busy. Seemed to be mostly hotel guests but also people like us who just came in off the street. Nearly £10 each which seems a lot but you get everything for that and can have whatever you want. Will definitely be returning.

Nice pub in a lovely setting with an outside seating area - this would benefit with some kind of play area for the little ones, which it lacks but there is plenty of bushes and tress for hide and seek.. FOOD GOOD SERVICE LACKING.So as I know there are sometimes coach parties I booked a table for 1 pm with an advisory that I would like to be seated in a less crowded area . When we got there we had to wait 5 mins before anyone was around to be seat us. When we where seated the supervisor or manager seated us right in between two couples which I challenged him on and didn't seem to care I had requirements on the reservation and just basically said no the other tables where for walk in . So we sat in a booth which wasnt table service and not what I was looking for at all. The food was great lovely tasting ,but there wasnt enough staff on only 2 waitresses and then another manager turned up people where waiting to be seated and whenever another customer asked for a gluten free menu he was snapped at and told no 'we dont have gluten free menu just pick off the menu and we will do it gluten free the customerdidnt seem happy . Overall food great staff need better tone in there communication

The burgers are the normal go to at Beefeater. Work your way through the options and you won't be disappointed. I had the tandoori chicken burger with the skinny fries this time round, thoroughly enjoyed it. There are good saver and refill options available. Make sure you become a member of the reward club and get really worth while discounts. Recently a friend and I had lunch there (burgers of course) and with the options and vouchers came away with a 60% discount.
