I just wanted to say that the blue door cafe have the best scones I have ever eaten. We were craving a cream tea the other day and happened to pop in. We were not disappointed. All home made, the perfect amount of fruit and super delicious. They were soo good we went back the next day. The staff and owners are all super friendly. All the food we saw being ordered looked delicious. We can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the scone on my plate. It was so delicious I forgot to take one. Here they are in the display cabinet.

Just WOW. The staff are wonderful. The breakfast, is literally the best English breakfast we've ever eaten. I'd be very pleased with myself, if I could cook a breakfast like that. Top quality ingredients. Just amazing. Love it , love it , love it.

Really enjoyed our drinks and food, my coffee and Walnut cake was delicious. We were seated right by the toilet door and that was the only reason for giving a 4 star for atmosphere. We could have asked to be moved but we didn't so that was our fault.

We had the roasted tomato soup today to take away and from the staff at capital jewellers we will be back, the flavour was superb, and you did not disappointed, the croutons and crusty bread was equally delicious.. Thank you.. ( no pics , ate it to quick )

We ate here 3 days in a row whilst visiting for the festival, which says a lot about the place. Nice seating outside and the service was always with a smile from all the ladies. We has the excellent all day breakfast, the scones were lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed the fish finger sandwich. Thank you all

The Blue door cafe is quietly tucked away in the centre of Newport, I often forget it there, but it offers great quality food and good coffee. The blue door cafe salad and the English breakfast are my favourites. The inside is very small but the outdoor seating is lovely on a warm day, and it almost felt like some European town while I drank coffee in the busy square. Nice. Only downsides are they only take cash (it's 2019!) And they close at 16:00. There are plenty of cash points (ATMs) near by though.

Lovely little cafe (it is really small inside) and a great English breakfast. My only very small gripes are that the plates are not big enough for the amount of food on them 😂 and they currently don't have a toilet open to the public which meant we had to walk my little boy around lots of other cafes before we found a place for him to go, whilst the rest were still eating. I would definitely still recommend though as food was delicious.

I discovered the Blue Door Cafe last week and ate there several times and found it to be old school service with both friendly people and great food. On the menu is a South African dish called "Bunny Food" one of the nicest meals I've ever had and that from a cáfe not a Michelin star restaurant. Oh I nearly forgot great prices to boot.

The food here is really nice. I had the eggs Benedict which was lovely and the eggs were runny. My Dad had the bunny chow curry, and it was huge, but very flavourful. Would definitely recommend this cafe, for a slightly bigger lunch though.

Didn't have time to give this place justice the other day when I reviewed it for Google. The food is outstanding and the friendly service is second to none. There's both inside and outside seating and when the sun is shining you could be sitting out on the paved area at your favourite cafe in Italy or France. They're also happy to tweak any item from their menu, ensuring that you're happy with your choice of meal. Dog friendly as well. What more can I say? Go and enjoy!

We stopped at the Blue Door on our way to the ferry. It was quite hot and we were offered water for our dog which was very thoughtful and also allowed to come in out of the sun, also very thoughtful. My wife and I had the full English which left us very comfortably fed, we had our 4 year old daughter with us who wasn't feeling very well in the heat so we didn't order for her saying she could have a few bits off our plate if she felt like it. An empty plate quickly appeared for her if she wanted anything (which she did - all my bacon!). So all in all we were very well fed and extremely well looked after, these guys really care about their customers, we will be back to try more from the menu, thank you Blue Door!

Delicious food, the biggest 'BIG' breakfast my husband has had, well cooked and presented. I had the 'small' prawn and avocado baguette which was full to overflowing, was fresh and tasted yummy 😋. The staff were very friendly and helpful, first visit, won't be our last ❤️

I love the food at Blue Door, and it's so conveniently located. There's the usual sandwiches, tea and cake; but also much more on the menu, including an epic special burger, an all-day breakfast brunch that is vast and magnificent, and the extraordinary Bunny Chow, a South African speciality that you need to experience.

We like it here we have always had impeccable service when we visit and the food made to order is very prompt and with the choice avaliable you will not be disappointed, only part that used to bug me is that they never took card payments, it isn't the end of the world as natwest is just across the road, overall I would definitely recommend
