J. D.This is my first time cod and chips , Delicious and tasty preparation of cod , chips are excellent.value for money , size of the cod and quantity of the chips.
Would not hesitate in recommending Birchfield fish bar to all my friends .
The cod was not oily like other fish and chips outlets.
This is now going to be my famous fish and chips shop
P. S.A good indication of how good the food is the number of returning customers. The staff calling folk by their name tells me many are repeat customers. I don't live near this chippy but will go out of my way to visit as I know I will be getting what I consider to be the best fish and chips in Northampton.

Last time I had the biggest piece of haddock I'd ever seen, and really well cooked. You only need regular chips with one of these.

like you get at the seaside. You can have a large or small cod,
the large one being a very filling

Nothing is too much trouble, or effort, if anything ever is wrong, they go out their way to amend it.
Their "fat chips" as my daughter fondly asks for are unlike any other in Northampton and the Halloumi is to die for!
Constantly great food keeps us coming back time after time. A takeaway is a special treat for us and it's definatly a treat for the tastebuds.
