M. K.Lovely quality of fish which was freshly cooked with a perfect layer of batter. Chips were delicious and even though they had been wrapped to get home were not soggy. They even wrapped the fish and the chips separately so they did not stick together on the way home. The owners are friendly and chatty so it's always lovely to pop in.

N. N.I always have a fabulous meal from this place. The staff are wonderful and polite. Service is excellent even when busy. Every Friday without fail for the traditional fish and chips but also excellent kebabs .

Highly reccomended to anyone and everyone! Give it a go and get down to the best chippy! You shall not have a bad experience.
Priced fairly at £5.90 for a large mixed kebab who cant go wrong!

C.Absolutely outstanding.......they now do a delivery service and me and my girlfriend was very impressed, I always used to chat to the owner saying it would be a fantastic idea and I would give him my business, then the flyer from the fryer came through my door in west haddon for delivery service, great stuff.
Don’t listen to bad reviews that’s absolute rubbish and also they do do kebabs mine was fantastic, I will defo be ordering again 100%

S. P.Legend has it that after they opened the Big Fryer they built a village around it to commemorate its glory.
This maybe an old fable but as soon as you bite down on that first sumptuous and perfectly formed chip you might as well be in a fairy tale they're that good. Each time I go I'm transformed to this other world of fried cuisine; its one of those 'where were you when...' moments.
Like a virgin angel I entered this realm of delight not knowing a fried potato could offer such a vivid spiritual experience and let me tell you buddy, I've seen the Taj Mahal and I've met the Dalai Lama but nothing can match the warm glow you feel after chewing down their world famous cod seemingly plucked from the pools of God himself.
And don't get me started on the people who have claimed the chips taste re-heated. I tell you what, their souls need to be re-heated in the fires of hell from whence they came, these are disgusting mongrels who probably get their chips from Dav and that tells you all you need to know about their tastes.
The entire surrounding community is built around this shrine, nowhere else will you find Christians, Muslims, Bronies and Jews come together in such rich harmony, brought together by the brotherhood of the Big Fryer chip. An affordable trip for all your family and friends, you should stay in the area for at least 3 days to give this institution justice; December and Friday are peak seasons and all surrounding Hotels are fully booked months in advance so get there quick!
There is no words that do it justice, I have just dipped the chip in the curry sauce, now you must eat the chip.
Surrender yourself to this almighty gift, a new chippy dawn awaits.
