Andys is a great community hub, you are always greeted cheerfully. I love the chips and personally would not go anywhere else. The staff are brilliant and very helpful. I rate it one of the best places in Bilborough. The Cod is awesome.

Went there today (finally ☺️) After folk had been telling me to go for ages ...and what a brilliant fish and chip shop! Best fish and chips I've had in ages and price of £9.50 for large chips and Haddock was good. Chips were crispy (not soggy). Fish 🎏 was cooked perfectly,moist and tender and full of taste. This fish and chips shop is well worth a visit folks. Recommended. 24/06/22 Update. Just had fish and chips,curry sauce and kebab from Andy's fish bar today. Last time I went it was good(very)😋,but today it was possibly the best I have ever had👍 Fish 🐠 was delicious 😋 and again cooked to perfection 😋 Chips ...again spot on and light.👍 Curry sauce was good too👍 Great value too.👍 Girls who served me were brilliant too and a credit to Andy's fish bar. Andy knows his stuff and it seems no matter what he cooks or fries it's spot on.(in my opinion).👍 I think I'll have to make this my regular fish and chips shop from now on in. Brilliant value in these hard times. Top notch food. Great service. What more can I say?😋👍

Excellent! Great crisp chips, really tasty home made fish-cake, totally non greasy, good quality. Andy was helpful, funny, and the perfect host. All the other staff were good too. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Always great service, and the food is ace! Gluten free a few days a week too. We usually end up at the chippy later on, and the chips are still fresh, not dried up and nasty! Kebabs are great too!

Always excellent food and service. The staff are friendly and helpful, greet you as you walk in, remember their customers and stop for a chat if they can. The cod is beautiful and they cook it fresh for you, described by my partner from Yorkshire as the best he's ever had in Nottingham. They even do batter bits/scraps! As a southerner Andy's is easily as fresh and delicious as proper Cornish fish and chips :) The halloumi fries in particular are to die for!

Good food, with friendly staff. I think it is important as a customer to have fresh chips every time. There is nothing worse than a chip shop serving 🍟 from dinner time, prior to them not being sold, just to get rid of them

We've just moved into the area, I had chips and kebab meat and my son had chips and burger, they were lovely, I do have just one moan though which is why I've not given 5 out of 5, I would have given 4 and a half if I could. Anyway, the chips and meat were a bit too greasy, but lovely non the less. Edit - When Andy is doing the food, the chips and everything else is lovely, but when the other man is on duty, the food isn't as good, chips very rarely cooked properly, kebab meat tastes old and just not nice, same as some of the other food. He's also got a big mouth and tries to talk down to his customers and thinks he's joking, half of the time he's not funny.

IT'S A fish and chip shop. But for me it's the best around here good hot food he is always adding fresh fish and chips to the cookers. What I'm saying he has a good turn over so food is never long in the hot plates. You have a short wait some times but if you did not have to wait he is not cooking good food is he. Been looking for a decent fish and chips shop since I moved to Nottingham 8 years ago, I used to live in Lancashire before that and was lucky enough to have 4/5 fish and chip shops that was a 5 out of 5, even though Andy's doesn't match up to them it is a very solid 4 out of 5 It's a little over priced but i would rather pay more if its edible rather than pay less and throw it in the bin.
