N. A.Always loved the fish and chips from Andys. Fish and chips on Christmas eve is a bit of a family tradition! Used the Internet to order as I prefer fish in breadcrumbs and saves waiting for it to be cooked! Although they'd run out of haddock but had cooked me a cod instead. Friendly service as usual!

A. O.Very disappointed with the Chips, We seemed to get the dregs all the small bits that looked and tasted like they had been there a while. Nor were they that hot when we got them home despite me putting them in a thermal bag. I think we ended up with the last ones of the last fry. As they did put fresh in as someone came in behind us.The other things we had were spot on so it was a shame. Will try again. Not quite yet though.

N. B.I've lived in Nottingham for many years and tried many fish and chip shops, some good, some bad, some indifferent. So when I moved to the Stapleford side of town I decided to check out Andy's Fish Bar.
I certainly wasn't disappointed.
Judging by the fresh, white, flakey, meaty haddock and the perfectly fried chips I was served with, this place is the best I've found in Nottingham and ranks with the finest I've found elsewhere in the country too!
The shop is bright and welcoming and the staff cheery and friendly.
I'll definitely be returning.....probably more often than is good for my waistline!

R. S.I've been going here regularly for over twenty years and it rates as one of the best fish and chip shops I've ever visited. You know it's good by the queues on a Friday night, but unlike other shops (I'm looking at you George's tradition) the service is fast and the staff know what they're doing. The food is excellent and you always get a warm welcome. The chicken kebabs are very good indeed and the chips are delicious.
