P.Lovely tapas restaurant with a great value lunch menu - £15 for Catalan bread/olives to start, 2 tapas and a side.
Portions are a lot bigger than I expected and very filling. Really enjoyed the cod tacos (you get two in a portion, but I ate one before taking the picture). Nice selection of sangrias aswell.
Great service and lovely decor; I was really pleased with how nice the toilets were aswell.

The staff and service were really nice and quick, the interior was modern and lively and overal a really good experience for tapas 🇪🇸

k. k.Service was a little slow to start with, but once we had ordered the food started to come out pretty quick. Picked this place after seeing them on happy cow, liked the look of the vegan options, and they really were very good, the pastry on the empanadillas was super light and crisp, and the churros were next level - we replaced chocolate sauce with vg ice cream and apple sauce, everything tasted great but those two really stood out for me. Shall definitely be returning!

Must say on my mose recent visit the lady behind the bar didn't seem to enjoy her job and was a bit rude but still, one of my favourite places to eat in Nottingham.

S. C.This use to be one of my favourite locations in Notts for food, but my last visit there were a couple of things that left it short. Overall the atmosphere and food is good. But we did find that a few of our pints were warm, some of the service was a bit slow and the prawns were lacking flavour. Make sure you have the olives though. And generally portion sizes are good, we got carried away and ordered a bit too much!

Accommodated us after a short delay at the bar. Food was epic, atmosphere was great, not a surprise given it was full on a Wednesday lunchtime.
C.I think this is a good place for a party/ large group, as you can order lots to share, and there are jugs of sangria to share. The food & drinks service was quite slow (we were visiting at 7:30 on a Saturday, so understandably peak time). Our tapas plates also arrived one by one, and as we were all starving we’d all pile into the one dish, and then have to wait for the next one to arrive. Subsequently there was no photo opportunity of all the food plates lined up on the table!
Some of the food was really great (my family really loved the crispy beef, and the cod tacos were also excellent) but other dishes were very average, and the halloumi fritters turned out to be in a thick batter which ruined them somewhat. The churros for pudding were also quite overdone and very crispy, sadly, and not particularly sweet on their own.
Having said that, they were very accommodating to my sister with egg allergies, proving her with vegan mayo etc, and they have an allergens menu which clearly lists the allergens within each dish. They were able to fit us in with a table fairly last minute at a peak time, which was appreciated.
For 6 of us, the bill came to £250.

t.Pleasant atmosphere, cosy surroundings with helpful and friendly staff. Some nice selections for food, some warming flavours and creamy textures, suitably tasty too. Nice place to relax and chat over dinner with a colourful cocktail or two.

P. B. U.It is a pretty cool place to hang out for a drink, wine, coffee, some tapas, and as it happens a leisurely brunch or dinner. The atmosphere is good, modern Spanish, laid back, and the staff is very attentive.
The place is located on Byard Lane near the Lace Market Tram stop in the Nottingham city centre. The menu has many options for carnivores, pescatarians and vegetarian. With a good value set menu for £9.95
K. S.One of our favourite places! Every time we go the food is just as good. Chicken wings are a must (I'm not normal a fan of chicken on bone but these are good!) Its in a sweet chilli mango style sauce and the skin is slightly crispy! You will love them. Also love the chorizo too. Flat breads are really good. Overall great Spanish tapas. Atmosphere really nice. The restaurant are quite boho chic and great place to go for a drink too. Location is little outside of main roads but close enough. Paid parking really close by too.

We usually go to Nottingham once a year and for the last few we have made a point of eating here. Consistently good food and experience. This year we took an Italian friend with us and she also enjoyed it.
The fried things are light and crispy and I particularly enjoy the bady chorizo with honey glaze.

A. J.Good place for a casual meal out. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food was alright, the best dish was the Moroccan empanadillas and the worse was the meatballs. I would say it is on the expensive side considering the food and drinks we ordered. I didn't like that a 10% was added to the bill although you choose whether you pay for it or not.

B. D.Lovely food, but not ideal for a bigger group.
The plates are very small - the tikka salmon is only 2 bitesize pieces of salmon. This is pretty much impossible to share on a table of 5 people. The catalan bread is literally one slice of bread which I suppose you could cut up with a knife. The pork belly tacos is just two small tacos. You would expect the plates to be more share friendly as its tapas, however I feel its more suited to couples rather than groups.

The garlic & prawns didn't seem cooked and weren't that tasty and I normally love prawns.
The white wine Sangria cocktail we had was absolutely delicious!!
The house white wine was very nice and the staff were all very helpful polite and friendly.
Service was a little slow but we were taking our time so it wasn't as issue for us.

B. G.We had our wedding reception in cellar9 (bottom floor) start of september. Having only left ourselves 6 weeks to organise I was managing my expectations in every which way. Baresca came up as a venue choice as had fond memories of the "basement" when it was Dogma and my future wife had assured me the food was delicious. We spoke with Karolina and Hollie on the phone to check availability and they said to pop down and scope out the place.
Having had to find a bigger venue due to an expanding guest list we were so pleased when we viewed downstairs.....it was private and in all honesty didnt need anything doing to it for our occasion. Hollie and Karolina were very attentive to our needs and even made important suggestions that helped us organise the schedule for the day. They were both fantastic. They even arranged for additional tables and seating to be set up downstairs so we could fit the 45 or so people in there comfortably.
The day went perfectly and we appreciate everything the Baresca team did in advance and offered on the day. Can't recommend them enough
R. A.The family had an excellent meal here. Each and every dish was full of flavour. Most definitely get the beef PZ, it was the standout. But they were all really good! Asparagus and goats cheese, patatas bravas, prawns.
Some have a few tweaks making them not typically Spanish but don't let that you put you off, they know what they're doing and how to make it taste great.
It's a big place, lots of seating and tall ceilings with exposed brick. Our night was made by the excellent food and service - huge shout out to the lady - I believe her name was Joanne - I may have that wrong, she wanted to go on and study law - she made our afternoon and we'd definitely go back for lunch or dinner to Baresca.

Tables were distanced, although we sat outside. Toilets were clean, with some cubicles out of use to maintain distancing. We had one dish that didn't make its way to our table, but we didn't realise until we'd finished and had coffee. The staff were really apologetic and adjusted the bill for us. I would definitely return and recommend.

We were initially seated immediately adjacent to another couple on an L-shaped sofa with two small circular tables, nowhere near big enough for separate parties to dine comfortably. I asked to be moved to a less “intimate” space, which they managed to do. Crisis averted...
The food was very good, if not quite excellent, but well prepared and all dishes came out in a timely manner. Not sure I’d go again, but I would recommend for a small group or a couple.

Strange dip, after reading reviews maybe it was carrot? I though sweet potato? Either way very bland and looked like it was sat around before serving. Side dish of peppers looked like a plate decoration rather than a portion for two. Calamari was pale and aubergine dish was greasy, lentil dish was nice but clearly made on mass and cheap. Will just order 2 dishes off main menu next time. 3 stars because I've enjoyed previous food there. If this was my only experience I would give 2.

Just felt we were a little rushed as the young lad almost threw a dish at you with a single word (almost comical) and nearly missed one of our courses (had to ask), you do feel obliged to pay service charge of 10% as its already on the bill. But this sharing board has exeeded all expectations in one go.

It's been a while since we've visited Baresca but it was a nice way to step out of the confines of lockdown into some flavoursome familiarity.
Tender calamari, spicy tacos and a wonderfully smokey aubergine tagine were some of the great tapas on offer and none of the food available disappointed.
A well considered and executed children's menu left the kids full with just enough space to enjoy their house churros with chocolate and caramel dipping sauce.
Family friendly but also good for a night out, thank you Baresca for helping us ease back into the new norm.

Our waitress checked in with us regularly and even when I asked for a flat white - which was not on the coffee menu - it was "no problem". Prices very fair. Venue clean and stylish. I'd happily recommend and go again.

However I think the experience was slightly let down by inattentive service. Food was still excellent, so still 4/5 but service could be better for full marks.

O. M.We visited sometime last year and it was honestly flawless. We vowed to come back sooner than we did but various circumstances meant the visit was put off. When lockdown eased and we could go out for food again we both decided that this was where we wanted to go first. Proving that they can provide the same quality from a limited menu was very impressive. All of the food came hot, we'll prepared and tasty. The service we received was exemplary too, all the staff explained to us what to expect from the menu and how to mix and match. Well done Baresca for keeping up the good work during these trying times. We will be visiting again shortly!

I have been to this restaurant twice this month because I was so impressed by the food the first time around we had to take more friends.
The £11.99 menu is excellent, great options for all (not sure about the veggie/vegan options but whateverrrrrr go find a cat cafe or something) the chicken wings are OMAZING! The serving staff are generally quiet which is a bit weird but after a bit of prodding revealed a friendly personality, the food is excellent value for money and I love the layout.
I'm sad that this venue is no longer a drum and bass hub (RIP DOGMA) but I found d solace in Baresca for a excellent start to a wild weekend. I highly recommend the beef.

The only downside of the sangria was that it could have included a tad more alcohol :) The tapas were quite delicious, maybe again with a bit of British flare. The waiters were very nice and friendly, and the service was super fast. Will definitely visit again.

Food is freshly cooked, served in generous portions and absolutely delicious. Décor gives you a sense of midern rustic Spain and is very relaxing. Even the toilet facilities are set in this style. Everywhere us clean and hygienic with tables wiped clean immediately after each serving. Good range of drinks for all ages available. Well worth a visit.

M. C.A great restaurant with delicious tapas. I have been there 3 times and the quality of the food and the service has always been great. It is right in the centre of the city and very close to both a tram and a bus stop. It's also usually not that crowded so I have managed to book on the day twice and just walk in and get a table once. If you are visiting Nottingham or even just looking for a new place to eat in the city I would heavily recommend Baresca!

I have been to Baresca with family members at all times of the day for breakfast, lunch and in the evening and cannot fault it. Food is great, staff are friendly and helpful, great atmosphere. They excelled one evening though when we were so late into town that we missed our meal and they had stopped serving food, however, the staff, knowing we were hungry and disappointed, brought us out snacks and breads and dips. I can't think of anywhere else that would be as hospitable or more accommodating....can highly recommend this place.

All the staff are friendly and helpful. Depending on where you're sat you can watch the chef cook the orders which is entertaining when the other half goes to the toilet.
I really recommend the Sunday lunch tapas which includes 3/4 meats you'd have: pork, chicken and lamb. All of which are perfectly cooked and accompanied. When we went however they had cauliflower cheese with butternut squash instead which was far too sweet.
Overall an interesting place which is definately worth checking out.

H. K.We went to Baresca last night for my birthday dinner. There were four of us and we ordered 11 dishes with some olives. Each dish was different in order to be able to share. Each any every dish was amazing quality, genuinely cannot fault a single thing. We had a bottle of wine between us which was beautiful, and the service was wonderful.
They finished our evening with birthday Churros with a candle and a song.
All of the about came to just £108.

B. B.It is done in "the style of a Spanish Tapas bar", and sure enough, the painted then sanded wood makes an appearance here. There must be a factory turning out this stuff. My Dad would be itching to give it a "proper coat of paint". But don't be put off by the semi painted bonhomie, on thanking the chefs (who are on veiw, always a good sign) it was obvious that some were Spanish. This showed in the range and flavour of the tapas, even for the large party they were catering for.
