I have ran past here many times but today was my first visit. A very nice place to grab a sandwich and drink to eat on the river bank. Friendly staff, clean and good choice. Very nice cup of tea. Worth searching out as small businesses need our support.

Small cafe, situated within the bridge (over the Trent river) structure. No room within the building to sit. Tables and chairs situated outside. Friendly owner and staff who were happy to accomadate my request for no butter on the cob and for the fat to be removed from the bacon, making up my bacon buttie order.

An excellent set- up with good social spacing and outside eating facilities - it of course does most business as a take-away for local households and businesses. The prices are very modest, the food of high quality, the service very friendly and cheerful, the range of food very unusual for such a small outlet. It is very well managed by a widely experienced chef. It is especially good for its breakfasts, it's specials for lunch, and its hot drinks. Highly recommended to all walkers who pass the way of the cafe. It has remained safely open through most of the pandemic months. I and my wife hope it remains prosperous for years to come. Nice people, good sandwich. If you are with your dog, you can leave it outside for a couple of minutes. They have a bowl of water for your pet, outside.

This place is deceiving from the outside! Great place inside with a lot of variation to offer. Breakfast caps to hot roast sandwiches. Nothing is too much trouble. Everything made in front of you. I think it is a little gem. Support local independent businesses! Friendly staff and worthy of a visit.

Stocks Dr Pepper...in a bottle! Plus, food is awesome, quick and staff are very friendly. Location is excellent, next to the river...and sometimes ducks, depending on planning (sometimes they arrange geese, hence only 4 stars).

I had a blt from here, paying £3 for it. The bacon was done excellently (something that a lot of places seem to struggle with) and wasn't overly salty like you would get with super cheap bacon. A nice sized portion being the size of a bap that was well filled. I'm sure I'll come here again.
