Lovely place to eat .went early sunday morning for breakfast lovely ...the only down side was tjat we was left standing waiting to be sested to our table untill we had to ask someone and tjey wasnt busy at this time ,after neing shown to our table again we had to wait for ages for anyone to come and take our order ..disappointing.

tried the breakfast ordering a sweet n a savoury dish. wasnt too impressed. coffee feels like machine made. maybe better to try their menu from the rest of the day. good service though.

You will not be disappointed. From the very moment you walk in it’s a 5 star service. The staff are superb. The food is excellent. Top class service. Not too pricey given the experience you have. Genuinely can not recommend this place enough - an absolute gem in Nottingham. Anyone that gives a negative review needs to give their heads a wobble. Went in for lunch and was so impressed went back in for night drinks. Go as soon as you can 👌

If you try to book a table at this polished establishment you'll be greated by an automated service, who declined my time request. I walked to the restaurant on the off chance of a table. The place was half empty and loosing Business... The staff were fine and the brunch average.. There are better options in town but if you're after a little pretence for surroundings and average food (not bad, not great), then this is the place for you. If a restaurant can't be asked to answer the phone in person why bother. I did out of curiosity having been to a Brown's years ago.. Wouldn't bother again. Ps - tomatoes were not good, probably sat under a heat lamp all morning, nothing fresh about them..

As always, Browns never disappoints!
I have ordered the salmon and lentil. It was well prepared and well presented.
Like always, the staff was so friendly and professional. The service was perfect.
I will definitely be back !

We had a lovely dinner at Browns Nottingham last night. The scallop starter was beautiful, perfectly cooked scallops with some crispy pancetta and a silky mash. The crispy squid was also very tasty and not at all oily. The fillet was very soft and well cooked. Desserts were a bit hit and miss. The pineapple in rum sauce was tasty and a lovely fresh and light way to end a meal. The profiteroles on the other hand were a bit disappointing. Really just tasted like cream. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the venue is nice although cutlery/tables a bit of a let down. Tables quite scratched and the cutlery was not all clean, which considering the price is disappointing. Overall, an enjoyable evening and I would certainly go back for the scallops and steak!

Always a lovely place to eat. The menu is varied with vegan and vegetarian options. The waiting staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Browns is a bit more up market, so expect to pay prices to match, but you're paying for high standards of food and service.

Was a great setting, staff were friendly. Really attentive, polite, and ensured our drinks were
stocked up! The afternoon tea was delicious a great variety of sandwiches and desserts. I will definitely revisit 😊
M. M.
Absolutely excellent food and some pretty good drinks as well! My wife and I love the place. The staff are always well turned out and the food is always excellent. A trip for Sunday lunch is worth it for the Yorkshire puddings alone!
M. M.
Very nice indeed! Only had a swift lunch here with my partner but we both loved the food so will book soon for a more leisurely dinner.
Pleasant staff too - highly recommended.

A simple yet lovely restaurant. I did the prix fixe and it served me just enough food to satisfy my needs after traveling. Food was straight forward and very well executed. Service was attentive and welcoming.
I. M.
Went for a late Christmas meal with work friends. Food was good. Service was good. Courses were nicely spaced so we weren't rushed. Only after 5 hrs were we asked to move to the bar area. Which was a fair ask!
T. C.
Lovely food, great atmosphere, reasonably priced… and most importantly we had an amazing Serbian waiter (sorry didn’t catch your name) who looked after us really well!! Thank you
M. S.
Brilliant place, great energy, broad cross section of people, all ages, trendy place, great location and the service was fabulous and the food delicious. Brilliant for pre theatre dinner, price reasonable. Staff are amazing helpful, friendly and attentive. I recommend Brown's every time.
J. C.
Would recommend. Lovely food and nice cocktails. Service good.

Haven't been to Brown's
In a while
Amazing atmosphere
Served with a smile.
The waitress Hannah
Was very sweet
Fantastic food
Was such a treat.
Thanks so much

Fantastic food, lovely staff. Exceptional care taken over my food allergy.
Our first visit but we'll be back. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely place! I came here for the first time with my friend who's recently had a baby to meet her for the first time, we sat outside to stay away from the majority of people incase the baby started crying and since it wasn't too hot nor too cold we decided it'd be the best place to sit.
The staff was so polite and so nice, the drinks were served quickly, I had a pineapple daiquiri, and the food was absolutely gorgeous 😍 I've ordered the meal of the day which happened to be a Sea Bass and I've not had such a good fish whilst out for such a long time, the sauce was beautiful and tasted perfect with the baby potatoes. I also ordered a side of seasoned fries which didn't taste too seasoned so not sure whether there was a confusion or whether they're just suppose to be very lightly seasoned. For dessert I has a lemon tart with raspberry sorbet which was combined so beautifully, the sorbet wasn't too sweet and it went perfectly with the slight tang of the lemon, the tart was gorgeous from a crumbly tart and soft filling to a carmelised top which added a lovely crunch to everything
I will definitely recommend coming here, it's such a nice place with a lovely decor and such nice staff 10/10

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service! Great place to take your good lady and spoil her! I did and will do it again.

Browns is a nice restaurant chain. This time we were only here for a Friday early evening drink. The bar here is comfortable and convivial, and there is always a nice buzz.
e. f.
Food delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are really professional. Our waiter was particularly good.

We attended a family event at Browns on Friday 27th May. Private Dining in The Boardroom. It was tight for our party but still worked well. The wait staff were great special mention to Charlotte who really did her best. Everyone was great just let down on the food.
Now for the bad bits. Pan Seared scallops were great. I ordered the Chargreilled Chick and Bacon Club as a main course! Waht a misstake when it arrived it was 2 ciabatta baguette cut in half. Pice of chicke and bacon in it with smear of egg. And a small pot of fries. Nothing else. the plate was half empty , no saled no garnish. Totally bizarre. I asked if there was anyting else coming as I was surrounded by people eating heaped plates of Steak etc. Seriously unimpressive on any level. Presentation 1 out of 10. Quality 2 out of 10 and taste 2 out of 10.
I then had the misfortune to order Apple and Damson Crumble. Presentation was fine but the apple and damson under the crumble topping was essentially an overcooked congealed lump of blackened something! Truly awful!
We probably spent well over a grand on the evening. Never again.
E. G.
Amazing food, lovely staff and great atmosphere could not recommend the place enough.
D. K. P.
Excellent food and very good service.. The waiters and bar staff are well trained and professional. .
Decor is good and they have a outdoor seating too which is excellent if the weather is kind!
I personally did feel that the music played was too loud for a fine dining place!
No other complaints. . .
B. G.
Very nice inside staff was friendly, I did find it a little on the cold side as we were near the door wish I wore something warmer. We all had main meals which was basic but nice. Drinks a bit pricey eg £4.00 for a small glass of soda water. Pudding went down well. Would I go again yes only if there are any discounts as I can't justify £22.00 for a small stake no bigger than your hand, all in all we party of 8 had a good time.
G. S.
Great food, lovely surroundings and a warm welcome. The staff are lovely but Ryan was exceptional. This is our go to place for special occasions. We love everything about Browns. See you again very soon 😍
S. R.
Really like this place, been a couple of times now. Good choice on the menu and the dishes are really good, some just a little bit different. Chef to be complimented. Staff attentive and good service. Not pricey, really good value for what we have.
g. p.
Sunday Dinner was bang on. Service was excellent our waiter was lovely and there wasn't a long wait on the food. 1st 2nd and 3rd course were all brought out promptly. I will definitely be returning ☺
T. M.
Fabulous afternoon tea. The atmosphere and staff were friendly and attentive. The best afternoon tea we have ever had.
K. S.
Well looked after and the food was delicious. We had the lunch time set menu and it was great value for the amount and quality of food.
X.
This place is Extremely noisy. Couldn't hear myself think nevermind the person across form me. The portions where small for the price. Foor was Average unfortunately, nothing rearly blew me away. Had christmas set menu on this occasion. Turkey dinner was missing a few bits. No yorkshire pud, lake of veg and extremely small pigs in blankets. Dessert however did make up for it as it was incredible. Cant fault the staff who where welcoming and service was great. Overall an okay experience but not 100% what i expected.
S. K.
Nice ambience for evening dining, limited menu selection. Slightly overpriced for what you get but will definitely come again!
M. C.
Lovely place for a date. Children's menu is really good although the portions sizes for them is massive. The food is good, no seasoning on the chicken but they give you salt and pepper.
L. b.
Love this place . Food is amazing and drinks are delicious ! Beautiful building as well might I add. We will be back!
R. C.
Amazing Fish Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding in a Lovely Relaxing Setting With Beautiful Architecture and in the evening as I went you have everything dimmed with lovely candles on the table for a intimate relaxing experience. Also Top Service with a smile.
M. G.
Clean vintage place with tasty food and amazing service. I have enjoyed my meal and time there.
C. O.
Great service and very accommodating menu for non alcoholic drinks, me and my daughter had matching cocktail/mocktails
B. H.
The Customer Service Is Always Good…
However, it’s very noticeable when restaurant is playing it’s A Team
The Level of service is sublime
M.
We had brunch which was delicious , the surroundings and atmosphere made it feel very special and the service was excellent
C. N.
The food is Devine and in a calm relaxing atmosphere. Went here for mother's day dinner with family and we all enjoyed the food. It is a little pricey but however it is a top end restaurant with good customer service and it's child friendly.
S. C.
Beautiful, traditional brasserie with old style waiting staff and a live pianist when we visited on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent menu choices and fantastic service. Really can't fault it. Will be back many times
P. I.
Very very nice food, as always. I had the fish and chips, and it was all great. There is lots on the menu to choose from, but not too much to be overwhelmed. Good selection on beer, wine, worth the money. Service was fast and friendly staff. 5/5 will go again. Try the fish and chips, they are fantastic!
B. O.
Wonderful and very professional service. One of our guests had a food allergy and the staff took special care to communicate with the cooking staff and returned several times to make certain the concerns were well addressed. With a table of 8 they were easily able to manage the starters, entres and desert at a fluid pace and were good sports about those in the group who considered themselves connesours of wine and beer and wanted to do a number of samples. They have very elegant plates as well as the simple life of chicken brat with fries if you are just looking for a filling meal. Clean establishment and well recommended.
C. C.
Excellent restaurant and grill bar.
Highly recommended to pop in for a meal before going to Nottingham Playhouse
r. s.
An amazing place. Walked in to brilliant decor a little bit like an old smoking club. Grand piano in front of the bar. And outdoor seating at the rear which gets lots of sunshine. We went for breakfast and it has loads of choice went for the traditional breakfast and it was all cooked to perfection with amazing eggs bright orange yolks would definitely recommend and will be coming back to try out the rest of the menu
P. W.
Mixed up the order got salmon instead of sea bass so one diner was eating by themselves got that meal free plus desserts could have been better
s. h.
A nice setting a a lovely building and well cared for. Good service good selection of drinks and food. A pleasant evening with the family.
A. C.
Good food for a Christmas dinner and great service. However the restaurant was too full and overly loud.
E. N.
Absolutely 10/10 would recommend!!
We visited Browns for my sisters Graduation. From start to finish they accommodated all of us and were very friendly! The starters, mains and desserts were thoroughly enjoyed by all! The service made the experience even better, Petya was so friendly and professional with excellent customer service skills!
Will definitely be returning !!!
J. B.
Although I didn't eat here we did stop for a quick drink and they were cold and refreshing, their choice of vodka is very wide as well including the delicious raspberry Absolut.
U. A.
Great food and service would recommend
P. S.
Lovely. Apart from families with noisy children, and parents, it's a very nice place for lunch or dinner that isn't too upmarket, but better than the average.
L. A.
Went for afternoon tea yesterday and it was lovely, the staff made us very welcome and the server who dealt with us as we came in was very, very good, considerate to our Mum who was in a wheelchair. The afternoon tea was sublime, especially the little plant pots full of berries everything was really well executed. Thank you. The only reason I didn't do 5 stars was the service charge, I prefer to tip.
R. G.
Had another fabulous meal at Browns, a great place for a special occasion.
A. D.
Lovely and lively place, courteous staff and classy decor. They also serve range of non alcoholic drinks.Highly recommend
H. W.
Didn't dine ,fell over outside and were kind enough to give me a bandage and wipes to patch myself up. THANK YOU. 🤗
G. G.
So pleased we visited here! It’s a couple of minutes walk outside Market Square so hadn’t been here before but will definitely be back. Food was amazing; I had the Lamb Duo and my friend had the Sea-bass special, both cooked to perfection and staff were so friendly and attentive throughout. We couldn’t help ourselves, so we followed the mains with British Bramble Crumble washed down with one of the nicest Malbecs I’ve had in a while. Our server; Nell, was was brilliant - we can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
S. L.
Very disappointed, we started off great, cady our waitress was lovely, helpful polite and very quick, however after our starters and main course, we were left for ages no one came near us, our plates sat there for what seen like forever! We wasn't even ask if we wanted more drinks, eventually we call a waiter over and ask for the table to be cleared and the sweets menu, he said they were short staffed🤔twenty minutes later still waiting for our sweets we had had enough, we ask for the bill, then the sweets came which we then declined only to be told they were complementary, we said thank you but no, then our waitress came with the bill, she apologise and said she had been on her break, it wasn't her fault there was plenty of staff lingering that was just shoody sevice, I worked in the same industry for over 30 years, yes it's hard, but customer service has to come first, so very disappointed with our service, heard so much about this place, look after your customers
T. V.
If you love great service and great food then you will love browns! I just cannot fault anything, always a pleasure coming here! Keep up the good work guys!
J. S.
Great bar, Superb food! Relaxed, casual/formal atmosphere. Definitely no trainers or sportswear, excellent place for a nice romantic dinner or first date.
E. C.
Lovely meal off the festive menu. Nora was a wonderful waitress also. Got a bit busy/ over loud with a 40th birthday party but this is understandable.
C. L.
Excellent food, coming quite slowly, and environment a bit chilly - a bit strange because there were some heaters outdoors.
m. “.
First time I've ever been to Brown's and was particularly impressed by the standard of the service. Although clearly formal, I didn't get the impression that this was protentious in the slightest.
Went for the Lobster Eggs benedict (as a seafood lover) and was blown away by the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Will definitely be back on a Thursday to try more lobster!
E. I.
The traditional breakfast was delicious and filling
H. J.
Great food. Good service from the lovely waitress
Z. M.
Good menu and food. Cocktails great. Service brilliant
A. S. (.
Visited Brown's many times in the past and have always been overwhelmingly disappointed. Decided to try it once more for Sunday dinner - no different. The atmosphere is nice but I do find the food absolutely average considering the price tag.
J. H.
Had my 70th birthday party at the restaurant yesterday. The food was excellent and was enjoyed by all. Our
Server Hannah was friendly and so kind whilst maintaining a professional air about her, she made the day memorable. We will all be back soon. Thank you.
E. H.
Excellent service, excellent food, and a lovely way to celebrate my Dad's birthday 🎂. Thank you!
R. S.
Lovely food and service. Great place to go for a special occasion. Simon snd his team are always welcoming and make you feel very special
J. C.
Lovely. Really nice chilled out bar. Great cocktail and gin selections
B. L.
First visit. We had cream tea. Disappointed , food tasted good but extremely small portions. Everyone's teas didn't taste good at all and we left most of it. The staff were friendly but not very attentive and in tune with customers. We went when there were not that many customers to attend to. Wouldn't like to see it when busy. If I had a choice , I wouldn't go again.
L. L.
What a wonderful night . We were a lively party celebrating our nieces graduation ( so a variety of ages ) we were booked into the boardroom .
We were escorted to the room by the lovely Marco . Not one minute did we feel out on a limb . Attentive Professional and friendly .
The food was amazing . We will definitely visit again .
Well done all of you .
Z. L.
Another absolutely beautiful bouquet. Stunning and great value for money
J. G. J.
Been there as group, so I could gather some great pictures of the food! Will return!
S. A.
Excellent meal last night -food quality was amazing -all of our group happy and well fed -very attentive friendly staff but not intrusive. Will definitely go here again 👍👍
M. S.
Just excellent all round. Great cocktails, lovely food (Scallops, Salad, Pork Belly, and Veg Curry with Tempura Prawns) all very tasty and beautifully presented, with pleasant and attentive service. Very enjoyable, thank you.
J. R.
The food was fabulous. Cocktails and wine were perfectly chilled and so lovely and the waiter left us wanting for nothing. Very attentive. Great evening and one to remember. Thank you 😘
N. C.
Christmas meal with colleagues and while the service was excellent and very attentive, the vegetarian food received felt shirt changed in comparison to the other orders.
R. H.
Lovely ambience, waiters friendly and polite, service quick and efficient, food was good portions and very tasty. Would recommend 5*
J. C.
Beautiful afternoon tea with great friends. Lovely food! The staff were really friendly and attentive! I'll definitely be back!
Well done to Brown's you definitely got it perfect!
S. B.
Excellent atmosphere, impeccable service and wonderful company
D. P.
Faultless great menu' and service, a little experience but would go back.👍
C.
Food was delicious, little bit on the pricey side for what you get. Ordered Surf and turf and waiter came to say we needed to change our mains because it was out of stock. So we both ordered a 7oz steak. I asked for a side portion of onion rings waiter came back again and informed me the onion rings were out of stock 🙄 (no goodwill gesture offered) . Me and my husband were seated next to a grey wall that was very dirty. We also have a small food business and we carry out maintenance checks weekly to keep it looking tidy to avoid this type of thing. This wasn't very nice to sit so close to. The food is nice but we wouldn't go back.
C. L.
I took a few of my friends for afternoon tea and it was a lovely experience. The selection was fresh with many options and everything tasted delicious.
Great staff, lovely atmosphere. Great place to catch up with old friends :)
D. C.
Nice setting very friendly staff. Food was a little on The dry side. But not too bad worth a look
K. S.
Afternoon tea is incredible and the outside bench's are nice way to chill after too
S. S.
Lovely building, good atmosphere and efficient, friendly staff. The food is fairly standard. I felt that the food was overpriced for what it was, not particularly ambitious. The wine is definitely over priced.
L. N.
Great atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service 👌 will definitely go again.
A. L.
Had a really lovely time here! Wonderful service the waitress (Maddie) was super friendly and helpful all night, she made us feel very comfortable and we will definitely return!
R. H.
Great mothers day afternoon in Brown's, staff very friendly.
B. W.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful and have crisp white uniforms, the décor is light and welcoming and the food was delicious, I had the salt beef croquettes for a starter they were very tasty and I had slow cooked pork belly for main served with fresh green beans, mashed potatoes and red wine jus this was also very delicious.
C. D.
Friendly staff, good value and quality food. Well managed from a covid standpoint. The onion rings are properly on point
G. P.
Beautiful place, delicious food. Expensive though
C. B.
Fantastic food & service, would highly recommend Browns of Nottingham, this was my first visit & I shall definitely be returning.
r. h.
Such a lovely setting and so close to the centre of town, waiting staff were attentive and efficient and the food was excellent and good portion sizes, very reasonably priced and will definitely be going again, highly recommend a visit
E. W.
The whole experience at Browns was excellent from start to finish.
The food we had was the best we had whilst we were in Nottingham. The staff were friendly & attentive catering to all our needs. Will highly recommend for any occasion.
L. R.
Loved the food and the brasserie! Will be back and highly recommend.
D. H.
Beautiful brasserie with amazing food, drink and service! 5/5
S.
A group of us went there for me y daughters birthday. Food was superb, cocktails amazing. Well worth a visit.
M. E.
Good food and good service. Perhaps a bit pricey for me but a nice place all the same. Lovely decor.
S. P.
Fantastic food and service will go again
😀 👍
T. T.
Lovely meal treated my mother and partner for mothers day excellent service as per usual
J. H.
Lovely food and drinks. The staff are very friendly and provide quick service. The outdoor seating is great when the sun is out
G. B.
First visit back after lockdown and was happy with how the quality is still as high as ever. The food was excellent, the pork belly was melt in your mouth gorgeous.
We were looked after by Sebastian who was very attentive, friendly and professional, giving good suggestions on drinks and opinions on menu items.
I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.
A. A.
Good food and atmosphere. Very organised to ensure coronavirus safe dining without it being obtrusive. Table/customer service excellent - big thank you to the young woman who looked after us and good luck with your midwifery studies.
C. V.
Been here a few times. Last time (September 2020) we had crab starter, fish pie and salmon with a bottle of blanc de blanc. All very nice indeed. Our waitress and the other staff were very friendly and efficient. Recommended for a light lunch or meal in town.
H. C.
We were welcomed by the hostess who explained a few simple steps to follow for social distancing. We were seated at a table and given menus (I went for Sunday roast but there were other dishes if you fancied something else). We decided on roast pork belly and fillet of salmon, both were beautifully presented on the plates with a little more food than I was expecting. The waiter and the waitress were both professional and friendly. Referring to the prices, they may look a slightly expensive BUT! the food was divine and service was excellent. I would definitely visit again.
C. T.
Highly recommend Browns, visited here on my 1st wedding anniversary. Service was a bit slow when we wanted to order dessert, but I wasnt in a rush. Thanks again.
S. G.
Still the same after all these Years!
I started frequenting Browns restaurants over 35 years ago, I was in the restaurant trade and felt back then that it was everything I wanted our own establishment to be.
With a great atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, an interesting menu selection and amazing food quality with good portion sizes that are presented to high standard.
The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and the standards of service with a three course meal for two including a bottle of wine costing around £100.
A 10% service charge is included on the bill however this is optional.
Browns have adapted to the CV-19 challenge well and on arrival you will be given a brief on the mandatory mask and tracking requirements whilst on the premises.
The tables are evenly spaced with just about enough room between to meet the requirements however the actions of other less observant diners may mean these should be spaced a little further apart.
Everything is thoroughly cleaned between seatings.
Overall a great experience and our thanks to our attentive and fun waitress Hannah for making our recent visit so welcoming and pleasant.
V. L.
Great service, great atmosphere. Selection of food on the menu was good, difficult to choose from. Will visit again.
A. C.
Not bad. Its a good brand and reliable.
S. s.
Just great food and attentive service.
w. f.
Fantastic night night of with the wife, food was top notch and the service was impeccable. A big thank you to Luke and the staff will be back again 👌🏻
N. M.
Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere, left a little too long between drinks and felt a little rushed between courses but on the whole lovely evening thankyou
D. F.
First visit post COVID, and the experience was better than we were expecting; it felt normal whilst also feeling safe. The staff were great and totally professional. There is a one way system and it works well, the menu is reduced but more than adequate for our needs. There are plenty of hand sanitisers for those who want them. Good food, great service. See you next month.
L. B.
Food was great but the restaurant was a bit chilly
S. A.
Lovely place to be friendly staff I love the pub so thete
l. g.
Myself and my husband decided to try somewhere we had not been before for breakfast (We awoke too late for that however so decided to go for lunch) and we both thoroughly enjoyed our food, it was simply amazing food. We enjoyed it so much that whilst still sat at the table my husband used the online booking to book us a table for our valentine's meal. Also all the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful.
T. L. L.
We liked it but didn't feel the atmosphere reflected the high prices and the food was good but not worth the money.
D. H.
Visiting Browns. In Nottingham for the first time. My partner and I were not disappointed.
We are regulars at Browns in Sheffield.
And the staff at both places are excellent.
Tom. At Nottingham. Made our visit memorable.
Thank you.
V. H.
I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with family today. The food was fresh, tasty with an excellent choice, served beautifully. My only criticism is that I would have preferred both white and brown sandwiches rather than just white. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend.
P. G.
Situated very close to the Casino this upmarket establishment has a nice bar, restaurant and outside area, parking as expected is by meter or multi storey car park just outside. I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment
i. c.
Eloquent environment accompanied by kind pleasant staff. Seated promptly, drinks were ordered but late which was a downside. Regardless of aforementioned, starter was beautiful, dinner was magnificent. generously flexible for a gluten sufferer with a dedicated gluten free menu.
Desserts was superior and staff tried hard to make sure keep accommodate for my daughter who loves strawberries. so I adore this place as it holds great memories
R. C.
Had a fantastic family meal in the private dining room
Lovely room, great food and fantastic service
Many thanks.
Will definitely return
C. F.
Visited here for the first time and what can I say other than what amazing service from start to finish!
The food arrived on time and came out well presented. The manager Simon was very attentive and friendly, he came to our table and had a little chat with us and made is feel very welcome.
I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely evening
S. H.
First visit yesterday, afternoon tea for my daughter's birthday. Food was delicious - nice range of sweets, some less usually found in an afternoon tea such as a mini bread and butter pudding and an amazing lemon tart, gorgeous scones and, I'm glad to say, no macaroons! One guest had gluten free which was equally good. Staff were friendly and no one was trying to hurry us out even though it was busy. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because it was pretty noisy and difficult to chat at times, some large groups and tables quite close. My advice would be not to go on Saturday if you want a quiet tea!
I. B.
Nice ambience, with good service very nice
S. L.
Very busy restaurant especially as it was a Sunday....and Mothering Sunday at that! Despite that the staff were fantastically attentive without being cloying. The food was really tasty and I would love to visit again. (I had heard fabulous comments from friends about this Brown's but I was hesitant because I have had a couple of bad experiences at a different branch. This was a much better and totally different experience.) We had to leave after only one course in the end which wasn't our original plan so we've GOT to go back for dessert sometime 😎
Only downside is the parking when someone in your party is disabled even though we had a blue badge.
A. C.
Fantastic food, and the staff couldn't have been any more attentive. Really an enjoyable experience.
N. R.
Whenever I'm in Nottingham I make a point to stop at Browns. Even if it's just for a quick drink or coffee. Service is always lovely, the atmosphere and building is wonderful and the food is always great. Some of my fondest memories were made here. Highly recommend.
R. B.
Good atmosphere and decor but the staff were struggling with the number of people on a Tuesday night. Food took a long time to come; sat down at 7.30 and had only just had our main course by 9. Ordered some bread for a party of 10 and they only brought 8 pieces - then a 5 minute wait whilst more bread was prepared. However the food was good quality when served.
R. D.
Popped in for a quick cocktail after visiting the Playhouse. The bar was just beginning to fill up so there was a wait. The service was extremely good though and the cocktails delicious. The venue had a chilled, social ambience. I would return.
D. G.
Was really nice. Better than previous experience. The home made guiness pie was top notch and staff really professional
A. H.
Birthday 🎂 party and we were looked after so good by the staff it made the night very special to us
P. S.
very good food excellent service and pleasant atmosphere
L. S.
Lovely staff, quick and speedy service. Excellent food and cocktails! Would recommend!

Came for brunch, loved it ! Lovely staff and the setting is just as nice
A. K.
Fabulous service and nice menu. I love they offer water for the table without having to ask... The early evening menu was excellent as a pre theatre dinner. The staff were really attentive and smiley... Nice one!
L. G.
Today we went for lunch at Browns. It was the first visit for my parents and children. Needless to say they were wowed by the beautiful food and fantastic service we received. Our server was called Katie and she couldn’t have been more attentive. You could tell by the whole experience that strict Covid guidelines were being followed and having had both my parents shielding previously this made the experience more enjoyable as we felt safe. Happy children means a return visit will be being planned in soon. Thank you, Browns!
K. L.
Had our office Christmas party at Browns last night. Historically, food has been a bit hit & miss but that wasn’t the case. We all enjoyed a sumptuous meal and the Christmas vibes were real! Thanks to the staff at Browns for making it a special night. 5 ⭐️
C. G.
The best pub / restaurant in Nottingham!
J. P.
Visited Browns 5/9/20 with three other girlfriends was disappointed that they have taken off the fixed price menu on a Saturday plus added the service charge on ... we can’t remember a service charge being added on before ... so therefore left no tip.
Just an expensive meal for what it is ......
Don’t think we will be returning in a hurry.
Shame because we probably visit Browns at least 4 times a year as a group of girls usually 5 of us.
J. G.
I had an amazing gluten free Christmas meal here yesterday. The food and cocktails were absolutely gorgeous and the staff were extremely helpful and considerate, especially our waiter Matt. Thank you for a lovely event.
D.
Had a beautiful breakfast this Sunday morning. Great surroundings, fantastic service very welcoming and helpful staff definitely recommend. Thank you
R. B.
The staff were very good. How could you run out of four dishes on the menu on a Saturday evening? Two of our party also got the last dishes they ordered that makes six dishes off the menu unavailable. Not impressed!
S. T.
Afternoon tea booked for 3. Food and drink all good. The restaurant was incredibly busy but plenty of staff on.
A. A.
Busy, loud and relatively slow service. Nice beer garden (if somewhat small) and good food. Make sure you book for afternoon tea if you want it as they don't serve it when busy unless booked even if you booked the table. They also won't split a bill for a large party for you and expect each person to work put what they spent and pay their own portion.
N. S.
A very nice restaurant, well appointed, trendy yet family oriented. A great place to dine or if you just fancy a social drink why not visit the adjacent bar. I thoroughly recommend Browns Bistro bar.
S. R.
The fillet steak is to die for, falls apart as you cut it and is a true taste sensation. Service is extremely prompt and attentive. The cocktails, fresh and crisp, it was like summer in a glass. Brilliant evening with the Mrs.
R. J.
Very nice place, we only stayed for coffees and soft drinks but would definitely come back for food.
L. M.
Held wedding breakfast there for 27 people staff were great nothing too much trouble!
T. H.
The meal was lovely the staff were very attentive, i did think it was over priced for what I had baring in mind it was a eat out for less £10 off the meal.. and the service charge was added and payment taken before I realised I'd paid a £2 service charge, which I thought a little cheeky.. a lovely place though
A. B. M.
Nice place, especially during the week
M. M.
I would like to thank browns for a wonderful experience. Every course was outstanding. Katie our server was attentive but not intrusive. The actual building inside and out was so beautiful combining historic character, comfort and luxurious coziness. We just loved it and cannot wait to return
N. P.
Great food, really good quality and service was amazing
K. S.
Afternoon tea was incredible! Our service from seb was amazing despite being rushed off his feet we had top quality service, he made time to talk to us and made us feel welcome and relaxed to enjoy our girly day. Really made it special, would definitely come again!
M. E.
Way too rushed. Main meal was out before we'd had chance to digest the starter. Maybe it was hot (too hot as there was no air con in our seating area on a fairly hot day) and they were trying to get people out to do them cooking. Forgot about us when it came to desert. Honestly, CV I don't mind paying for good food and good service but this was nowhere near good enough.
m. g.
Mega breakfast with my 5 work colleagues and I and the food and drinks ie coffees were really good. The only thing letting it down at the time was there were only 2 members of staff on waiting duties when they could have done with 3 or 4.
But all in all it was nice food and drixkk and I'd definitely come again.
D. S.
Highly recommended and have been many times. Huge selection of drinks, lovely food and staff are friendly and able to have a laugh and giggle when get talking to them...just how staff should be. Keep up the good work me and my partner will be back!
Y. S. (.
One of my favourite restaurants in Nottingham. Vibrant, warm and elegant atmosphere. Tasty and well presented food. Friendly and helpful staff. European menu with vegetarian options. Lovely cocktails and desserts. The only negative thing is the 10% service charge, it should be optional but they're including it in the bill without asking you about it and there is not an option for paying it or not when you will pay by card.
M. L.
Had a great meal 12/7/18, early bird set menu. Perfectly cooked medium rare steak, great starter and gorgeous chocolate torte pudding! Great value, even if a little loud dining experience due to the ecoustics! Cocktails also on special Mon-Thurs, all round very good!
k. k.
Went for a Christmas dinner for 35 people, they handled the group impeccably! The food was great, the atmosphere was on point and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout. I'll be returning for a regular meal soon!
S. P.
As usual browns very nice .very nice veggie option
M. R.
We booked and visited at 1pm Tuesday afternoon for our 8th wedding anniversary as a treat and couldn't fault the food, service, drinks and atmosphere.
We ordered 2 pints on arrival £10.05 for Guinness and Peroni not too bad given the surroundings. Both pints were nice. It was not very busy but plenty of friendly, smart staff.
The toilets were upstairs but they did have a radar key disabled/baby changing downstairs. All very clean.
There is a small step to get into the building but the bar and eating area were all on the level. There is also an outdoor seating area.
We were seated and served by a lovely waitress called Katie. We ordered from the lunch menu 3 courses for £14.95 plus a £1.95 supplement as we had steak. We both ended up ordering the same - Duck liver parfait, Steak, Chocolate truffle torte. All faultless and delicious. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We were offered table water and asked if we needed more drinks. We had a lovely surprise in our sweets being served on a large slate with happy anniversary written on it, such a lovely touch - thank you.
We ended our meal with a cocktail each both were delicious and we easily could have drank many more!
The atmosphere was so relaxed we decided to have another drink in the bar before leaving to meet friends.
On the whole couldn't fault anything and we will definitely be back and would recommend to other friends.
J. W.
Usually excellent, recently had the Christmas menu. Starter was amazing, but the main course and sweet did not match that standard. The whole meal was decent, but not 5 star as is usually the case. Service was exemplary as ever.
S. O.
We went in for brunch on Sunday and this would have been 5 stars but for 2 issues. 1- the restaurant had an overwhelming, nauseating smell of bleach, 2- the food was warm but not hot and no one came back to check everything was OK once the food was served. We've drunk in here before but first time for food. Maybe it was a one off. May try again but there are other places we've been that were better in the city.
D. A.
The place has an excellent vibe to it, and the food is there to match it. The breakfast menu might not have a lot of meat options, but everything tastes wonderful. The service is top notch. The staff is super friendly. Although the prices here are a bit on the higher end, they are definitely worth it.
K. H.
Amazing night. The staff were really friendly and made our night special. It was a reunion of 10 nurses who had known each other for 40yrs! Some hadn't seen each other for around 30yrs. The waiter was so patient and fun, he went along with the spirit of the night, having a laugh and good time. Food also lovely. Thanks Browns for making a lovely reunion even better.
M. S.
Can't go wrong with Browns. Tasty food, great service and nice atmosphere everytime I go, whichever city. Was looking for somewhere nice for meal. It won't be cheap, but you won't regret it. The staff in Nottingham get a special mention, as I was on my own for work business, but looked after me impeccably. Service was already added (I expect in London, but not elsewhere), but you don't feel offended as the service was more than worth it. Enjoy!
J. C.
Great food, great service, staff were fantastic! Will definitely be back!
C. E.
Had a great time brunch was lovely staff very friendly a great place to go before a wedding xxx
P. B.
Really nice relaxed atmosphere, great menu and very attentive staff. Food came out relatively quickly and was good quality. Also good cocktails and local beers!
J. L. (.
I normally love Brown's, the food is normally excellent but my starter was sent back due to a hair being in it. They did apologise & take it off the bill but they could have offered to do more, like drinks on the house or something. Put a dampen on my meal
A. D.
Lovely atmosphere. Pleasant staff although the young waiter forgot my husband's second beer. The food was excellent. Won't hesitate to eat in a Brown's Bar again...
K. S.
Thoroughly enjoyed going to browns yesterday for my friends 50th birthday. We had a lovely time and the afternoon tea was delicious! The manager Simon was very nice and often nipped over to our table to make sure we were all ok. He’s such a credit to the company and couldn’t do enough for us. We had a couple of really nice waitresses too. One was called Kaydey but we didn’t get the other young girls name. They both were very pleasant and extremely helpful! Good work to you all.
J. L.
Really good scoff tonight in friendly surroundings. Very attentive waiting staff despite the fact that they must have been tired on a Sunday night. Fresh, properly cooked food, which was very good value for money. We have been here a few times and Brown's has now become our main regular place to come: whether with friends, or for special occasions, or just as a regular place for the two of us.
M. C.
It's a really nice place, had out Christmas party there. The food is spot on and the service as well. Only 4 stars as it's nouvelle couisine based so you get a massive plate with not so much of the good stuff on, but then again you don't go there to stuff your face, you go for the taste.
g. v.
Nice place but... We booked a table on Saturday at 9pm. We wait 1 hour to order the food and 40 minutes to have a bottle of wine. We have ordered 1 sharing starter and 2 meat mean courses (good quality) and we paid over 100£.
S. P.
Would have like more sandwiches. Tea pot was only topped up with hot water so very weak, no seconds if you had coffee, staff not very attentive. Took ages to bring the food out and not very well presented. Not worth the money had better at M&S
S. S.
Lovely excellent service and food, very wheelchair accessible. They cater for milk intolerance also 👏🏾👍🏽💯
C. D.
Great venue ,but sadly the food is always far from hot...and it wasn't busy either so not sure why
R. J.
One of the best wine selections in Nottingham can be found at Browns Brasserie & Bar and coupled with a good food menu makes it well worth a visit. The setting is very nice and the service is great. Don't miss the desserts they are delightful!
S. M.
Grest food great staff
G.
Just been for an enjoyable mothers day meal for 5 at 8pm, thought it well pass time I left a review.
I havd been to Browns on several times and found the quality of food and service to be of an excellent on all occasions. From afternoon tea, Christmas dinner or just lunch, You can't fault the experience.
I think for what you get, it is well worth the price.
R. M.
Wonderful location with a great atmosphere. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff.
Our meals were fantastic, presented wonderfully and reasonably priced.
Would be very happy to revisit.
n.
If you like nice food and good service you'd have been already. For those on the fence just go!
M. R.
We went here for afternoon tea and left feeling disappointed really. The sandwiches were massively underwhelming with 3 tiny offerings only. The cakes were nice but there appeared to be no options of actual tea, it was standard or nothing which didn't fit well with my pregnant girlfriend who is avoiding caffeine. It wasn't overly expensive however so maybe you really do get what you pay for...
M. S.
Needs a bit of a refurb but that aside, it's generally a welcoming place with a mellow atmosphere. It feels like it's holding onto a much more glamorous past and can't decide if it should continue pacifying it's older customer base or invest in attracting newer younger clientele.
The food is good though
H. J.
Nice food but over priced. They also put tip on automatically which we disagree with. Tips should be given if we are pleased with the service and at our own discretion. Staff are friendly but are at most places we have eaten at in Nottingham city centre. Chairs are uncomfortable decor Notting special for the prices you pay.
B.
Very decent food and service, though no Sunday lunch on a Sunday?
A. S.
Lovely summer visit one of the rare places you can sit outside in Nottingham
I. R.
It's OK with nice decor, the food to be honest is a bit average, for example a nicoise salad had tinned tuna and no olives. Spotting a waiter was worthy of springwatch as they flitted by, eyes down and with no attention to anyone outside of the task in hand. That said, the asparagus starter was good and the place is comfortable enough to relax while trying to actually order a drink.
R. H.
Drinks we're good but the food was second rate at best. The lobster risotto will leave your eyes sore looking for the lobster! Bland and tasteless. The crab and avacado starter was not much better. Lacking in seasoning and taste. Again you would be hard pressed to find the crab in the dish. My wifes scallops were good as a starter but the half roast chicken main course was at best average. Wouldn't recommend the place I'm afraid. There are far better restaurants in the area offering far better quality and service. Sorry Browns but it's a no from me!
A. R.
Wonderful quality food, staff great giggle attentive gentlemanly made us feel good special and looked after. Very safe covid aware.
B. B.
Had lunch here... went for items from the menu. The starter was good - soup of the day is soup of the month. Mains, I went for the pie.... was ok, and had chips which were nice but too hot compared to the pie (in terms of temperature). We sat down at 12, starters were quick but mains took a while. Overall, nice place, staff were friendly, and food was ok.
D. L.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Very much worth the trip!
R.
Browns is always nice for a meal, no matter which part of the country. There is a good atmosphere, good attitude from the staff, the decor and lighting is always warm and comforting. There is a good selection of food and drinks to round it off too.
S. L.
Lovely ambience, sat outside for lunch, good wine selection. We had duck pate and crab and avocado terrine which were lovely followed by pork belly, which was succulent, however the sauce half roast
A. C.
Nice little bar, work use it a lot plenty of tables to sit and talk and it's very well kept. Didn't feel like one of those pubs where only th locals are welcome so it's somewhere you could go if your just visiting for a few days, or overnight.
A. T.
Love eating here. Great menu. Delicious food.
J. W.
Had a great night here with the food and service really being on point. They do have some great offers like a free bottle of prosecco on birthdays so well worth signing up before you go.
J. B.
Fab place. Lovely atmosphere, we booked for the early diner and thought we would be rushed to clear the table for the next sitting but that was not the case at all even though it is Christmas. The food was first class on every course and the staff were brilliant. Will definitely be back.
P. B.
Arrived for a pre theatre meal offer. One of our party suffers from Celiac disease. There was no gluten free option on the offer menu. There was, however, a number of Vegan and vegetarian options. So it seems that lifestyle choices are supported but ailments are not! Upon discussion the manager allowed a choice from the regular menu ( which included gluten free options) only to be told that 3 of the options were not available. Steak presented itself as nearly the only alternative. After this the wine ordered failed to arrive and when requested we were told that the one ordered was not available but suggested an alternative. Was not going so well then, for a venue who claims a high end reputation. To cap it all the moules frites option was so salty it was nearly inedible! Offered a 20% deduction off our next visit. Token suggestion since I don't think we will be returning!
c. s.
Visited for the first time for lunch during Xmas shopping. I had baked camembert followed by belly pork. My wife had Devon crab and avocado followed by steak and ale pie. These course were so filling we did not have pudding. A great meal. The only complaint was that the beans were too al dente. Staff were very friendly and the premises clean. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. We are going back for a Xmas lunch before Christmas
G. B.
My partners Birthday we had a lovely lunch time there. .very helpful and friendly
Staff ..Meal was fantastic enjoy our time there ..
T.
Really nice food with lots of flavour. Spot on atmosphere and decor for a nice meal. Staff are very attentive, and helpful.
E. M.
Wonderful place to eat. Great service from Nick who makes a wonderful Disaranno sour!
C. C.
I don't mind paying good money for high quality food, which is why I returned for a second visit.
After buying a beer and asking for menus, I was politely told I'd have to return to the bar to place my order, due to lack of staff. After taking my seat in a cosy corner from where I could see the bar, I noticed casual chatting amongst staff who were otherwise unoccupied – including the person who'd served my beer. Never mind. Let's move to the food…
This time I chose the clam starter I'd pondered but not chosen previously. For a main meal I chose the prawn pesto pasta and finished off with fruit salad. After discovering one of my favourite wines was only served by the bottle, eating alone and already having had a beer, I asked for a large glass of something else to arrive with the first dish.
Starter:
I'm not one to be overly concerned about prices, especially with high-quality food, and I often don't check. However, I happened to notice the clams were priced at 9.95 (forgive my lack of pound sterling sign on this American keyboard). The waiter headed my way with a large rectangular plate but when he placed it in front of me, I was disappointed to see just THREE clams… Never mind, I told myself, 'they'll taste good'. But when asked about my food later, I had to report that one did not taste quite right.
Main Meal:
Wonderful flavours with a spicy pesto on perfectly cooked pasta. But only half the quantity I'd hoped for!
Sweet:
Still feeling hungry, I had the most exquisite fruit salad served with yogurt. This time, it was a proper sized portion. My only wish was that the strawberries had been picked from my sister's garden. No complaints here though: the Isle of Skye is a long way to go fetch them.
After arriving home later that evening, I cooked-up a nice big pizza…
Unfortunately, I won't be returning for a third visit although I love that wonderful grand piano no-one played…
J. V.
After being hidden away from where I usually venture in Nottingham I was pleasantly surprised by Browns, the meal and speedy service was fantastic, the sharing platter was wonderful, particularly the chicken lollies which were incredibly tasty. I chose the Pork belly for a main and have got to admit it was one of the nicest meals I've had in a restaurant for a very long time. Definitely plan on going back at the next occasion!
W. M.
Really pleasant environment, but did find the food a little bit disappointing. Had steak and it came with chips and very little else, tasted fine but expected a little bit more for the price.
K. R.
We had a really great waitress who made sure my brother's complimentary congratulations desert was nut and soya free, she was really helpful! Wonderful food as well
S. L.
Loved our visit! If you are looking for a recommendation I would suggest going on a Sunday, they have amazing roasts! And live music it was simply fantastic!
A. S.
Amazing amazing atmosphere. The manager is a really nice guy and that's evident in the way the staff are. Polite helpful and genuine! Def recommend
T. S.
Great menu, good value set menu upto 7pm and a great choice of reasonably priced mocktails, so great for drivers. Friendly and professional staff. Beautiful decor, light and airy with a good atmosphere.
k. m.
Great atmosphere but food is a little pricey and portions quire small so we found it necessary to order sides to fill our plates. Great service
R. L.
Service and atmospherewas excellent very friendly and attentive staff.
Food was ok but expected a little more for what we paid.
A. S.
Great place to visit and have a meal with a few drinks. Staff were lovely and attentive. I would definitely recommend.
F. S.
Lovely breakfast & service during our morning visit. The interior design is stylish and the breakfast service was up to scratch so will return for Lunch / Dinner when next in Nottingham.
J. S.
Good service and cleanliness stood out
K. M.
Went for an afternoon tea, food + drink was lovely and a great atmosphere!
S. F.
Delicious food, welcoming staff, nice environment
S. C.
Went for afternoon tea with family, service was good, champagne cold, very accommodating for dietary requirements and a few of our fussy eaters. The actual afternoon tea was a little disappointing, I feel the cakes and scones were maybe thaw and serve and the savoury fillings in some of the rolls were almost non existent. Butter on the bread would have been a bonus too. Maybe up the price a little more and make the offerings a little more a substantial.
M. M.
A warm and comfortable environment with a good level of service and products to match. The food is tasty, with a price to match. Atmosphere can feel wooden at times though.
s. r.
Lovely food and tentative staff.
L. S.
Tasty food, charismatic staff and impeccable service.
V. B.
Went for breakfast, quite disappointed with the quality of ingredients for the price. Friendly staff and good service though. Lovely to sit outside on the terrace in the shade.
k. h.
Our first visit here. Excellent food and attentive, polite staff. Highly recommended. Booking is advised as was very busy.
K. M.
Celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary, a memorable experience. The staff were friendly, efficient & the food excellent. Will certainly recommend to friends and colleagues.
M. W.
Brilliant service, beautiful food. Highly recommended.
J. L.
Great food, staff and atmosphere. A favourite!
y. o.
At first I saw a very tall and intimidating man working here, but as he was servicing me he was extremely polite and easily made my experience here much much more enjoyable! Highly reccomending this place to all my freinds and family, and reccomending Thomas Godber the lovely man working there for a pay rise! Absolutely outstanding gentleman!
D. W.
Had champagne afternoon tea. Good selection of food and a glass of moet. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Lovely staff. Glasses of wine were quite pricey.
Z. K.
Everything about my experience was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and genuinely nice and warm and the food was to die for!
a. t.
Nice quaint place. food is reasonably priced. personally the eggs are always to runny by default so unless you specifically ask they may not be fore everyone
s. W.
good food although veg could be done as too hard needed 5 mins more cooking. Also a bit loud as large hen party a baby shower in our area.
j. g.
Delicious food and excellent service despite being ridiculously busy the night we visited. All the food was hot and fresh.
S. W.
Absolutely fantastic! Came for Afternoon Tea and it was excellent. Shout out to Seb, who provided the best service I've ever received. Wonderful 30th.
C. C.
Good food, very friendly and efficient staff. Why do you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to the loo everywhere nowadays? Nice loos when you get there ☺️
R. B.
Very nice afternoon tea
G. T.
Good food good service. Very damn close to give 5 star but would say all round good prices nice food
L. B.
Great Festive menu and service was second to none despite it being a busy lunch. Lovely food and a great atmosphere. Recommended!
T. T.
Food was excellent, wait staff pleasant but slightly slow.
It's the second time we've had Sunday lunch there and will be going back.
J. S.
The food was excellent as were the friendly staff, I would highly recommend it.
P. M.
Pity about the reduced choice lunchtime menu and the apparent increase in prices however the presentation of food was ok albeit one meal had to go back and be replaced by an alternative selection.
C. J.
Just always great.
M. D.
Its a brilliant place to have a birthday meal with ur wife and family, I got a free chocolate dessert courtesy of me wearing my 40 badge which was very nice of them, they also have decent real ale too and brilliant food.
M. C.
The place is nice but service is slow both at the bar and when you get seated at your table we had to send the mains back as the meat an fish dishes were cold
S. P.
You pay for what you get. Not cheap but good quality food in a very nice environment. Some delays in service meant 4 instead of 5 stars
G. D.
Never disappoints. well lit airy room. With waiting staff that dress the part. Afternoon teas and breakfasts are a winner. I imagine the sunday lunch would be of an equally high standard.
A. G.
Best breakfast I have ever had with the staff being lovely and easy to chat too! The scrambled eggs are to die for! 10/10
R. W.
Certainly not an awful place to go, but for the price of each item on the menu; I would expect far better of the food and service.
Toilets were very unpleasant
K. T.
Fantastic place. Food was amazing and the service was superb, friendly and knowledgeable. Very good for gluten free too.
J. W.
Had a lovely time there, staff very friendly and good service recieved 😃
K. F.
Classic British style pub/restaurant in a nice area of Nottingham just a few minute walk from Market Square. It is a bit more upscale than most of the Nottingham restaurants (i.e. you won't see many students here unless mom and dad are paying).
S. L.
Good place for a business lunch or a get together, lovely surroundings, good service, handy for the city and also some parking around the streets, I find the veggy options a bit hit and miss but my carnivore colleagues rate their dishes.
c. w.
Fantastic place. I took my best mate for his morning breakfast to begin his stag do and the food and beers were impeccable
d. s.
Fantastic vegetarian and gluten free menu
B. P.
Food was very nice. Great prices and lovely staff.
T. B.
It was my first time here. The staff was lovely and went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect however our meal was cold even after we complained.
T. S.
Had a lovely time out with my girlfriend great environment with a live pianist ! Jordan woods the manager couldn't do enough for the both us. Would highly recommend.
M.
One of my favourite restaurants.
Great Sunday dinner with the kids ,
Makes a very romantic evening with the other half and good atmosphere in the bar for cocktails when out with the girls!
E. L. F.

Very plush, friendly and amazing staff. A little expensive. But worth it.
A. H.
Nice place, ok pricing too.....haven't seen in daylight but looked clean and classy , food was good...small portions tho so watch out if you're hungry!
D. R.
Excellent food. Pretty good service. A bit more top end for Notts. Atmosphere can be a bit lacking.
M. F.
This place is brilliant food is great and staff are very nice bit on the expensive side but you pay for what you get
M. B.
Food was not too shabby. Most of the bar staff were witless though, except the guy with the ginger beard; he was pretty awesome 😍
S. H.
Lovely setting, great staff, menu could do with being refreshed but food well cooked and presented.
M. M.
A very pleasant evening..
Excellent choice on the menu and interesting wine list.
To be recommended

Great readonably priced steakhouse. A little hidden from the main street. I recommend the ribeye with mushrooms and spinach. Yep just dump em on the steak sooo good.
P. C.
Excellent food and professional service. Good value but not cheap.
N. W.
Great service great food. Staff as always looked after us. Marco was our team member who took care of us for the evening.
L. P.
Visited for an afternoon tea, nice food however in my opinion there are better places out there which offer a nicer afternoon tea and much better vaule. Browns is quite dear.
S. H.
The staff went above and beyond and gave a lovely vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed the haggis on the specials! Thanks
T. N.
Surroundings are nice, waitress was lovely..we were a big party so some of the food wasn't quite on point but overall good.

Brilliant night great food great company
C. h.
It wasn't as splendiferous as I thought it would be, the food was good, but the service left a bit to be desired, with the waiter talking down to my wife, Let's say I wasn't overly impressed.
E. S.
Very good choice of menu and well prepared food. A good bar and comfortable surroundings.
P. T.
