R. F.Really delicious tapas restaurant, the nearest thing Nottingham has to the excellent Barrafina. We visited for an evening meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. We skipped bread and nibbles and went straight for the tapas, ordering six between us which was just the right amount. The pork belly in spicy sauce was great, as was the kale with ajoblanco and the peppers stuffed with spinach. Desserts and wine were really good too and for just over £80 for the lot it was pretty good value. This was our first visit to Iberico World Tapas but hopefully it won't be our last.

S. P.Romantic and charming Spanish Tapas restaurant in the centre of town. Entrance can be missed easily - it’s opposite the Cock & Hoop bar. Service was friendly and attentive. The Charcuterie and cheese board was great with some good ham on offer. The inside out Chicken wings were very flavoursome with some oriental influences coming through. The Blackened Cod was outstanding and the sauces that accompanied it were amazing. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cosy and intimate, but relaxed dining experience.

B. F.Wonderful tapas. We also go to sister restaurant Bar Iberico, and I do think there's not much between them now, where World Iberico was elevated. One thing Bar Iberico does need to do which WI still does, is use balsamic glaze again. It makes the bread much better. If you're visiting, the Catalan Bread and inside out wings are a must!
C. W.Went for Valentine's Day and we were booked in for the 9.30 sorting, but we were the only ones so the place was empty as we left. Service was great, food was a little bland, especially the veggy versions of things.
There were 2 drunk women making fools of themselves and instead of doing anything, the staff just stood at the bar loudly talking about them.
It was ok, but I prefer their other restaurant for an authentic Spanish experience.
R. M.We love be tapas but had somehow never been to Iberico World Tapas previously. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere- busy, lovely vaulted ceilings etc and staff were friendly. We enjoyed every dish we ordered- and for the amount of food we had it felt good value. I've not given five stars as we finished our drinks early on in the meal and staff didn't return anywhere near our table for more drinks orders/to check food ok etc, which meant we had basically finished eating before we were able to catch someone's eye and order another drink. Just slightly took the edge off what was otherwise a lovely evening.
R. J.The best tapas place in Nottingham is without a doubt Iberico, not only is the food and service top-notch, the setting is also great in the cellers next to the National justice museum. They have an excellent fast tapas menu if you arrive before 6.45 pm with two tapas for £9.95. The a la carte menu is extensive and the have a great selection of Spanish wines. Well worth a visit!

It can be somewhat noisy and although the Restaurant claim this to be the best in their group I prefer the more airy Bar Iberico

They gave us an area at the top away from the other customers so that our daughter could run around, which made the whole experience fun for everybody. The staff were great and the food was top class. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend it!

I found the setting really atmospheric, although the restaurant felt much more romantic when they dimmed the lights (I'd suggest always having this lighting during the evening). A couple of issue are that I felt obliged to pay for still water, and would have preferred to be offered tap water as an option, and I waited a while for the last dish that we ordered, so we couldn't enjoy everything together. This was also an issue for the couple sitting next to me, so I think there's room for improvement.

L. A.Absolutely beautifully flavoured dishes of tapas in a welcoming and warm atmosphere. A mix of Spanish tapas meeting Japanese with miso & teriyaki flavours in some dishes. I would love to visit again. Booking was essential and 48hrs notice for cancellations are required. We ordered 3 plates each and shared, this was plenty for us (although we squeezed in a dessert). Well worth saving up for a visit.

J. G.Quirky and intimate dining with super tasty food. Depending on your budget and means it is fairly pricey. Note service added automatically so if you like to tip separately check your bill carefully. Staff really friendly and helped us choose some really good food!
T. D.One or two okay dishes although some were far below what was expectated after the outlandish reviews read on here. A little rich and somewhat largely overpriced, not a huge selection and we were very disappointed after all the hype. Our choice of the Malbec wine was pretty good but unfortunately would not recommend as top notch at all. Standard if anything.
B. C.A better than average tapas restaurant. We arrived as a walk in and were offered a table that had to be vacated within 90 minutes. We were offered water along with our drinks order and quickly ordered out dishes which included £18 worth of best Bellota ham.
Pretty much simultaneously our drinks and the ham arrived closely followed by another of our dishes. In my experience it is customary to serve the ham as a starter and hold back the rest for a while. However the remaining food arrived in the next 15 minutes. Most dishes were enjoyable, the exception for me being the calamari which was very sub par and was not charged for.
The staff were accommodating to our comments so we will try again another day. However they should be aware that touting Michelin approval and a bill of close to £80 for two with the adjustments they need to come up with the goods.

Be sure to make a reservation in advance and if you are just dining for two be prepared to sit at the bar or one of their bar like tables they have set up on their pillars!

Great selection of food and drinks, the tapas were freshly cooked and full of inventiveness. Amazing salt & pepper squid! Buddha bar style music in the background. I left my phone at the hotel and did not get bored... That's a testament to the place in this day and age! Highly recommended!

S. C.Possibly the best restaurant in Nottingham. I have lived in Nottingham many years and have been to most restaurants but Iberico is one I always go back to. It is tapas style so you get a little bit of everything, and everything is amazing.
The quality of the food is the best I have had in nottingham, you will keep going back until you have tried everything.
A meal for two with one bottle of wine, I have found to be about £85 depending on how much you eat, as that includes starters, mains and desserts.
The atmosphere is relaxed (it is only a small place) with classy decor and the service is just what would be expected from a high class restaurant. Very popular (and rightly so) so make sure you book ahead.
Aditional: Has the nicest smelling soap in the bathrooms.
B. R.Good selection of interesting and international-influenced small plates. Didn't realise it was a chain at first, but they also have a restaurant in Derby, which is better at cooking the same dishes - we have been to both several times now and this has consistently been the case.

O. G.If your looking for a special meal in Nottingham this is definitely the place to go. The food is amazing. It is one of a very few restaurants that can actually produce tapas which would not stand out like a sore thumb in Spain.
The wine list is very good and the atmosphere is buzzing. The portion sizes are not massive but you would not expect them to be but it means that to get filled up it can cost a pretty penny. They turn tables in the evening, why wouldn't they, but it means that if your in early then they make it clear when your time is up. On the other hand I imagine that if you are having a later meal you would probably not have to wait ages for your table.
All in all a fantastic place for an indulgent meal.
