What a lovely new place that's opened up in Beeston town centre. Brilliantly located next to the new cinema. Went in on the off chance we could get seated and we were very lucky that we could. During it meal we could see how lovely and busy this place was getting. The decor is great, a lovely pizza oven integral to the main bar area at the scene. The food came out quickly, often a worry but we had nothing to fear. The pizzas coming out first, hot and freshly baked, both delicious. Next the spaghetti for my youngest, and a wild mushroom risotto for myself. Normally my youngest would be the last to finish, she however devoured this meal like it was her last. I enjoyed every bite of my risotto. Warming and comforting it was exactly what I needed. The pizzas were both as delicious as they look. Desert however some how stepped up another gear, build your own sundaes for the kids and a delicious tiramisu for the adult. I couldn't fit any desert in so left that to the ladies. The staff were all very friendly and made us all feel very welcome. Highly recommend this place and will be visiting again soon... Well worth the five stars!

Lovely restaurant with a great choice of food. Friendly staff and buzzing atmosphere. Everything we ate was very tasty and the layout of the restaurant allows you to watch pizzas being made and cooked! Would recommend!

Spacious, nice menu and lovely staff. Tried this restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed. It’s only been open a few month but you wouldn’t know, staff were extremely efficient, professional and friendly with lots of them on hand. Menu prices are average to high with a pasta dish costing around £15. Venus is large and spacious, great to party bookings but not so much an intimate meal for two. Will definitely return- what a great asset to beeston!

Been here twice since it’s recent opening, it’s so lovely - decor is beautiful you feel like you’re on holiday and the service was really attentive! Pizzas made right in front of you and fresh ingredients. (Great for me as a vegetarian too)

Our 2nd visit to Ottimo because we love it so much! Great atmosphere, fresh/ modern surroundings,friendly and attentive staff and beautiful food and drinks! The pizzas are paper thin and it's great to see them made and cooked in the pizza oven 😋🍕. Starter of mussels in white wine sauce were amazing, pulled beef cheek croquettes were delicious and the spaghetti bolognese was very nice, could have had a little more flavour - but the plate was still cleared by the end! Would have loved to seen some non-alcoholic wine on the menu but we understand that’s not for everyone! Peroni 0.0 was available which was great. Staff were friendly and welcoming (shout out to the lady front of house who got us a table upgrading from the high chairs to the lower table). Will be returning :)

What an experience! A great addition to the area. You get a warm welcome, the ambiance is on point and reflects the decor very very well. Huge place which can cater for many all at once rather than being disappointed that ‘a table wasn’t available’. A very popular place so get your bookings in early. We went as a four. (Couples). Served by Kiki, who did a fabulous job. Thank you Kiki. The food was just D-licious. The drinks were fab! And the portion sizes were huge!!! Well worth your monies worth. Loved the idea that you can get a main course but at a ‘starter’ size, paying just half the price. My eyes were bigger than my belly and I underestimated the portion sizes. If I was to go again I’d or one main, but the starter size, as the portions are very very generous. A lovely place to go with friends or family, the atmosphere caters for all. On exit I notice they also have a pizza oven! One also to try! All in all, a fantastic 5 star places. I literally couldn’t fault it at all. Parking is close and local too, or hop off the tram and it parks you literally right outside. You could not ask for more. 😀

We were served by Arlen- he was brilliant, literally so polite and funny, made us feel really comfortable and made the whole experience really enjoyable! Ottimo is a great addition to the local area, offering authentic Italian meals. I had pasta for a starter and pizza for my main, both cooked to perfection. The pasta was particularly good, something that will make me return to Ottimo in the future. The decor is simple, but it works really well with the Italian theme. The service is efficient, only a minor hickup when I had to remind the waiter that I hadn't received my drink order. I personally think it's a little expensive for a restaurant that's not in the city centre, but perhaps inflation may have had an impact. Maybe a lunch time menu would be a good idea. Lovely food and good service at this new, authentic Italian restaurant in Beeston. We had bread and olives to start, (amazing focaccia) and we went on to a seafood risotto and a pasta dish, both excellent with a bottle of white. We had desserts, both of which were very good. Definitely returning. A very good experience. Would love to see more fish on the menu.

Visited this new restaurant for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. We were welcomed warmly and given a choice of tables. The restaurant looks great and has clearly been intelligently designed as the space is really flexible and I found the seating very comfortable. The menu has a good range of options and you can order smaller plates and salads or full mains. I found the portions to be really generous on our choices. My partner and I shared aubergine bruschetta, a beetroot salad, garlic bread (which was massive - we brought some home!) and a starter portion of seafood linguine (which was also plenty big enough and full of seafood!). Everything was good quality and delicious. We followed that with a salted caramel dessert which came with the best pistachio ice-cream I’ve had in a long time. A good strong espresso finished the meal. With a couple of soft drinks the bill came to about £45 with service which felt like a bargain and we were definitely full! I see a previous review moaning about the service which on our visit was perfect. It was clear to me that the staff have been properly trained. They were friendly, efficient and looking out for diners to help. I saw a number of professional touches that made it clear that the Ottimo team are committed to making sure customers are well looked after and we certainly felt valued. We live locally and will definitely be back to this welcome addition to Beeston’s dining scene!

Food great waitress service excellent. Manager although present throughout only interested in his friends and possibly family . Not once did he introduce himself ask about our satisfaction or concern. When we entered the restaurant we chose a table that was obviously unclean. The glasses on the table were filthy as we're the ones on the table next to us. The great waitress did rectify this. Food good waitress service great well over £ 100 spent for a luncheon meal. Please do something about the managerial situation. .

What a lovely restaurant. The staff were friendly. The food was gorgeous, my mushroom pasta was incredible and such a good portion size too. Also you must get the garlic bread it's amazing! The decor is really lovely too. Feels very chic. Definitely would go again. It's just a bit spenny but it is quality, Italian food.

It's a little pricey but it's a nice place, good atmosphere (music was too loud at our table but seemed good elsewhere) and the food was tasty if a bit small on the portions. Service was good other than some slowdown getting the menu after eating. Highlights: The salmon ravioli was delicious and the pistachio ice-cream was great as well. Would recommend if you're happy to be spending £30 for a visit.

The food here is incredible, My wife and I visited last night both having the fresh pasta dishes. One with wild boar and one with mushrooms. A side of truffle fries accompanying. Though we were very full from the main course, we decided it best to try the desserts of brownie and salted caramel pudding. All of it was astonishingly good. The severs were incredibly attentive and friendly. Making sure our experience is beyond reproach. It's obvious Chef Rafael runs a tight kitchen, with everyone putting their all into every dish. It was a pleasure watching all the delightful dishes pass our gaze from kitchen to tables, eyeing each for our inevitable next visit.

This place has been open for a few months and I’ve been six times already. Just me and the mrs or with a larger group, it’s been good each time. The pizza guy has skills but the chef is really doing good work. Proper flavour and interesting combinations and selections. I would go back to work my way through the menu. You guys have a great kitchen team there. The setting and location are bang on. Really cool and sexy vibe. The space is huge and open but still feels intimate. It’s impressive really. Keep the music chilled and in the background because you have a good vibe it doesn’t need techno beats. Many restaurants can get this badly wrong but so far so good here. I’ll keep coming back for sure. Shout out to the young staff as well who are also super cute and friendly.

A lovely experience! I went with my mum for a Saturday dinner and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious (very big portions) and the staff were friendly, kind and professional, even double checking about allergens and making sure we had everything we needed. Couldn’t fault it - a wonderful restaurant!

Went there yesterday evening for the first time to celebrate my wife's birthday. Food was excellent - I had the wild boar fettucine and my wife had the wild mushroom risotto which she felt was a tad salty but excellent nevertheless. Service was good; our server Joseph worked hard to make sure we were happy. It's not cheap but still excellent value.

We've been there twice now and we cannot fault either the food or the service. They've managed to make a great barn of a room feel cosy and welcoming, for a start. The menu is both extensive and enticing. The food is fabulous, both in presentation and in sheer flavour. And the service is both attentive and understated, a very difficult trick to pull off. Our visits were a month apart, yet our waitress, Claudia, remembered us and that my partner is GF. I can't speak highly enough of her warmth and efficiency. Both times we've been, we've had a really lovely time. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant evening in Ottimo. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very nice and there was a lovely atmosphere about the place. A couple of gripes about the peroni, it was awful, and we sent it back, the replacements weren't much better. Also we had to keep asking for cutlery as there was none for starters or main course, that seemed a strange oversight. That said, we will be back as overall we all thought it made for a good experience. Would recommend.

We tried this place for the first time on July 28th to celebrate my Birthday with lunch. The decor is great - modern and spacious. The food was fantastic and the serving staff very friendly. We'd definitely recommend and look forward to heading back there!

High quality and a great quantity of delicious food for a very reasonable price. My partner and myself went last night, as we entered we found that ambient French music was playing, not too loud or too quiet just the right volume. As we were taken to our table we found ourselves on an upper platform with light features scattered around the place, with a clear view of the kitchen and the pizza oven bar. The waiter seemed extremely shattered but nonetheless we didn’t have to wait long until we had ordered and very shortly after our food and drinks arrived. I ordered the beef and pork Ragu pasta and my partner ordered the king prawn pasta, both great dishes, never a bite without incredible flavour! Highly recommend Ps : this is the first review I’ve done but genuinally an incredible restaurant, easy 5 stars!

Had spaghetti Bolognese. The best I've tasted in ages. The portion size was a tad small but that's probably because it was so good and I wanted more! The chocolate brownie for dessert was also delicious. All a little on the pricey side but then you pay for quality!

A mixed dining experience but overall it was a nice meal and a pleasant evening out. For starters my partners scallops were the “best she’d ever had” whilst my crab arrancini was just alright. I don’t think the lobster bisque had actually met the lobster at any point though. Had to ask for a spoon to eat it with too. The steak and duck mains were delicious, although my frites were somewhat overdone and more like crisps than frites. My partner got a chilli dip with her main which, whilst delicious, just didn’t sit right with the rest of the ingredients. The steak was very, very good though. The tiramisu for dessert however should be sent to its room in disgrace, grainy, underwhelming, and just not nice. Again, my partner who has better judgement than me, chose the cremeaux which was delicious, especially if you have a sweet tooth. Wine was good, especially the Conte De Castelvecchio, which was perfect for me. Buzzing atmosphere, clean and crisp, although a few plants or wall fabrics would help reduce the sound bouncing around as much. Our waiting staff were a bit inexperienced, but very likeable. When we complained about the tiramisu our waiter said “yeah, it’s not nice” - lol. Still had to ask for it to be removed from the bill though, though I’m glad to say that they did. If the restaurant keeps the good bits good and improves the bad bits I can easily see us returning for another go. Hope someone orders a pizza soon for those guys looked really bored whilst we were in!

Service generally quite poor and seemed lacking in experience which is probably related to it being a new restaurant. Long wait for starters though did get apology/have then taken off the bill. I expect with time service will improve as restaurant becomes more established. Food was pretty good. Wild boar pasta very tasty and mussels good, though would say focaccia was a bit on the burnt side. Restaurant inside looks good. Will likely come back again in a few weeks to try the pizza and see if service has improved.

The service was good, we were left alone for some time though. We got drinks quite fast, now when we ordered food we waited an hour till a waitress came over and gave us some bread on the house as she realised we were waiting for our food for a very long time. After we got the bread we waited another 30 minutes for our food to come, that means we waited 1hr 30 mins for. I ordered a pizza, and my parents ordered pasta dishes. Their dishes came first, I then waited another 20 mins for my pizza to come, I resorted to eating some salad that my parents ordered, however the food (when it came) was delicious and would recommend the food. I think the problem is that the pizza oven is on the complete other side from the kitchen so the communication was not so good. I would definitely go again but in a few weeks/months, just till they sort out the communication. I did get my pizza on the house and all desserts on the house, this was very nice of the staff!

Went on a date night on a Friday evening here, the food we ordered was lovely as well as the waitress we had. We now know that the pizza is cooked in a different location to everything else but both meals came out at different times with about a 10 minute difference which wasn’t great, would of been nice to be told when seated that this is a potential. Only other thing was there was no napkins on the tables and it took a while to get the attention of any of the staff as the girl that had been serving us was too busy serving others and some of the other staff didn’t seem to be doing anything. Other than that it was a nice place to visit

Visited the restaurant the first weekend of opening and was truly impressed. The menu offers a wide range catering for all. The food is prepared to a high standard and the price is great. The Beef Cheek on the starter menu is a must try and the Beef & Pork Bolognese served Al Dante is mind blowing. The chefs are clearly passionate and talented and the staff are polite. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

We went after a date night visit to the Arc cinema which is next door. Lovely feel to the place, fresh, open, minimalist and clean, perfect. We ordered the Focaccia to start this was far too thick and over griddled. Mains were Wild Mushroom Fettuccine, very rich and creamy, and Chilli Spaghetti which was bland and very disappointing. £27 all in so not too bad, waitress (blonde hair) very pleasant and attentive. Nice touch that when you pay by card you get to say how much tip you wish to give rather than the American service charge nonsense, I'll tip if it's good service, not just because I've eaten there. We will be back to sample the pizza oven with our girls, and this may become a regular place if they change the bad bits! Oh and get an entry on Tripadvisor!!!

Was extremely excited to try this place but left before even ordering. When myself and my partner arrived we were met but a rather disinterested server, serving isn’t the greatest job so I’m not shocked . The problem actually resided in one of her colleagues. Myself at 6’4 and my partner at 6’0 were towering over the first server which to her colleague was funny enough to rather obviously laugh and point this out which was not the level of customer courtesy or professionalism that we expected. We were then sat at a table on a raised platform at a 90 degree angle from one another. This wouldn’t be that much of an issue, however, even at this peculiar arrangement I couldn’t hear my partner speak as the entire room is open with hardwood floors meaning that everyone else is amplified. I can’t speak on the food so I won’t knock them down below three stars but genuinely appalled by the lack of basic customer service and honestly rather strange design choices sacrificing consideration and comfort in the name of pointless innovation.

My wife and I, and our friends, went to Ottimo for the first time tonight for dinner. The place has what I would call a rather "industrial" feel to it with a very high ceiling with all the utilities exposed. We were exceptionally well looked after by the marvellous Claudia, who made us very welcome. She was very attentive and friendly, too. The food was excellent. I had the linguine with seafood. My wife had the aubergine lasagne. Our friends had Caesar salad and Margherita pizza. My wife and friends also had desserts which they thoroughly enjoyed. I am quite sure that this will become a favourite.

Me and my partner went for a birthday meal. We arrived early and our table was ready so promptly sat. The restaurant is amazing great space and really clean and open. The design is outstanding and brings a much needed vibe to Beeston. On arrival they give you three menus food , drink and cocktail. Some being two sided it's a little overwhelming. We ordered our drinks being told 3-7pm is two for one on cocktails but in the end we was still charged for both. They was nice so we ignored this. The food is good. Our starters olives and bread was nice and fresh. The mains pasta was a little undercooked but I would like to think it's freshly made. Pizza was the best part of the meal. Desserts, the ice cream was great but the trio of cannoli too much for one person should be recommended as a sharer or even just one cannoli and didn't need the chocolate sauce a coffee would suited better. The panna cotta was lovely but too many flavours on the plate(milk, honeycomb , smoked pear and cookie crumb) and we literally ate the panna cotta and left the rest. The service was ok. Some of the waiters and waitresses still didn't know menu and was learning but just simple service like clearing drinks and making sure cutlery is clean would have helped. Also explaining some.of the dishes are made in kitchen and some.at the oven near door so may arrive at different times would help. It was close to a 3 star but it is a new place and seeing how passionate the chef was being with the food they are trying! We may not be back but it's worth a try.

Ottimo has just opened in Beeston. Visited for Sunday lunch. Very attentive staff who helped with our questions on gluten free options. They went out of their way to ensure we had lovely things to eat. I found my soup too salty and they changed it without fuss. Good focaccia with soup. Tasty stuffed chicken breast with spicy broccoli stems. Dessert was panna cotta with milk ice cream. Really liked the milk ice cream. GF diner said her pizza was best she's had in UK. She had delicious mackerel pate to start and a huge plate of gelato surrounded with fresh berries to finish. Very enjoyable lunch with VG service . Big restaurant with a nice vibe.
