W. H.We went to wake, they had catered for only 30 but it was 50 plus. To get drinks (alcoholic) it was waitress service only and it took 20 minutes to get a drink! The buffet was more than adequate and nicely presented.

Excellent menu: Wife got a large portion after I ate the Fish & Chips.
Karen the Landlady offers a good range of ales and, if your polite, she’ll show you her bulging sack.
Good strong Italian coffee is occasionally available whenever Gino de Campovan attends.
Well worth a visit, we will be back and there’s nothing you can do about it x😉
A. E.Went to this lovely place for a Sunday lunch and the waiting staff and bar staff were very welcoming. The food was cooked to perfection, absolutely loved the meal . The place was beautifully decorated in various oddments of accessories beautifully put together. I was disappointed in the lady who sat at table she checked us in near the entrance my husband approached the bar to pay for the meal/drinks and the lady ( manager I was told) was very rude and snapped back for him to go and sit down. We were happy to do another visit but this has put us off , so won’t do another visit. The rest of the staff were lovely. Such a shame when someone thinks they can talk to people so rudely she obviously lets the place down . It would have got 5 stars if she hadn’t been rude.

M. S.I like the place, the location, the food the beer choice, the decor the local people could be a first-rate pub qnd restaurant. What I didn't like was the way the landlady treated herself when they were obviously doing a great job. It wasn't just what she said but the way she looked at them and how she said what she did in full view of the customers. An example of how not to treat the people you supposedly lead. It reflects in the way customers perceive the pub. Needs thinking about it would be a shame for the pub to have to close again!

C. G.Spent a few hours at the Lambley at a family event. The staff were excellent providing table service for drinks and also provided a very nice buffet.
The decor is very nice both inside and out, there is great outdoor seating available.
Toilets were clean and pleasant.
There were a couple of real ale options at the bar along with typical larger, cider and wine choices.
Although we didn't eat any of the food, something smelled delicious when I wandered past the kitchen so I would happily return to sample the food.

R. R.I went to The Lambley today with my brother. We got there just as they'd opened and we were served straight away. I have to say the food was excellent, the best serloin steak I've had in a long time, as was the steak and stilton pie my brother had, lovely big chunks of meat in a rich gravy. The staff were very polite and very efficient. We shall definitely be going again when we are in the area. Top marks from us both!

k. c.After a wonderful 3 course Christmas dinner at The Lambley there was a cabaret by Alex Belfield. His show is one of amusing rants during which he lampoons those in authority and also anyone in show business who might be a bit too big for their boots. He has gained an audience who have charted his rise from benefits and single figure followers , to literally millions of hits on his YouTube channel and over 350,000 subscribers . Overall the grub is great and with Belfield and the staff it's like being amongst family and friends .

Beautifully presented and everything totally delicious and cooked to perfection. Sauces and gravy so moreish. Even ice cream is really fresh and creamy. Seated quickly and service excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant. Also excellent range of real ale and all reasonably priced. You get what you pay for and this is fantastic value for money. Classy food in a traditionally English establishment which is beautifully decorated. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon there in such a lovely atmosphere.

w. s.Booked week in advance for a party of 17 only to turn.up and told they hadn't wrote the booking down also pre booked all meals.They did accommodate us but told because they were busy didn't actually see any evidence of that,we couldn't order starters but they did give us some bread and olive's free of charge that 7 people didn't even like,from the first meal brought out to the last which was mine was 23mins, this was my first experience of the Lambley pup and will definitely be the last
N.Excellent pub, good food, good kitchen, would benefit from a bigger selection of spirits and WiFi as their wasn't any by the bar

Two plates of cod and chips for £10 (Monday and Friday) were beautifully cooked, with crispy ale batter and good mushy peas. My son had the steak and ale pie - a generous portion which, he declared, was very tasty indeed. The brownie with chocolate ice cream looked great and was enjoyed by all who went for it. Heartily recommended for a lunch - just sorry I didn't have the chance to try the local ale as I was driving.

l. h.We had my mother's wake here.. Location ideal, lovely pub, lots of parking, private room was very nice with private terrace.
The buffet was £9.00 per head, we did go for the more expensive hoping for a selection..
The food was of poor quality sausage rolls and pork pie weren't very good at all and tasted worse than they looked.
Scones were very hard and the cream provided wasn't even double cream...
There wouldn't have been enough food if all the people had came back or the amount we had paid for..
My sister was shouted to in the car park asking us to settle the bill.. It had been paid 2 weeks prior in full.. So embarrassed..
So over all not a good experience for our family.

L. i.Before lock down regularly ate at The Lambley and were not disappointed. However, ate there tonight and were really disappointed with the food and the response from the very gruff man when i mentioned the fish was not flaky but quite chewy so either not fresh or over cooked. He clearly took exception to this and went to speak to the chef. He came back and said the fish was fresh that morning and from the same supplier they usually use. I said if it was fresh then it was over cooked. Off he went again and came back and said he had looked at the half a fish i left and it had fallen apart. He then said he didn't want to argue - he'd already done that by going back to the kitchen twice and his gruff manner. He offered a free dessert which i accepted but it didn't make up for his manner or the fact the meal was completely ruined for me. Will not be being back and won't recommend. Would have gone to the Woodstock if they'd had a table.

What a wonderful authentic pub, in a great location with parking, it has an up to date menu, the service and food is of a very high standard. S. B.A great find for a meal. I used to visit when it was just a pub. The Lambley has been fully refurbished with many covers. They have a greater menu than most pub restaurants with well presented food using quality ingredients. Well worth a try out!

This may be just a one-off so can't really comment on how it is on s regular basis.
