Afternoon almost ruined by the idiot who felt he had the right to shout & be abusive to staff, but as the staff are professional they dealt with him very politely & diffused the situation they should be highly commended. J. W.We visited The Ram yesterday for a family tea to celebrate my birthday. There were 7 of us including 4 year old grandson and baby grandson 7 months. We all enjoyed our visit - staff were friendly and efficient, choice of food was very good although husband disappointed no cottage pie available...Meal for the 4 year old was amazing value (£1) Toad in the hole with mash and gravy, and ice cream with chocolate buttons. I had received a voucher for a free birthday drink and chose a Gin and Tonic which I really enjoyed. Music was pleasant and not too loud. A lovely comfortable atmosphere. Thanks to all - we will be back soon.

D. H.Staff were attentive & friendly. I had the Surf and Turf, everything was hot, chips were nice and crisp, prawns were lovely. The only problem I found was with the steak which is the main event. It had too much fat and too chewy for medium rare. Overall I think the food is better than that of most pub grub, I would eat there again.

COVID update - Visited recently and was easy, safe and very well organised yet still retaining its principles of tasty food, affordable prices and warm service.

We had a table for 9 and ordered for 4 and 5 people separately. Unfortunately the 4 got their meal 1st even though they ordered last and the remaining 5 had to complain and got their meal about 1hour later as the ticket hadn't been put through to the kitchen.
Basically it spoiled a family meal out.
Shame as the food was quite nice.

We made the mistake of not registering our car in the car park as it was raining really heavily and we just didn't see the signs and recieved a parking fine. But the nice lady called Natalie who works there cancelled it for us. We will be back when we are up from Penzance again.Very helpful and would recommend. 😁😁

D. P.Nice chain pub with a repeated restaurant area but have found that some patrons who have finished work (usually trades) don’t consider their language when family’s are in the vicinity. Not a bad comment for the pub but for some patrons.
We have left for a neighbouring pub more than once due to this.

My friend and I came here for the first time on Sunday 2nd April 2017 and firstly, the customer service and staff were excellent.
Secondly, the seating was comfortable and the decor was smart and modern.
We had Sunday lunch and it was absolutely lovely and very well cooked and presented. Plus it was really reasonably priced!
Some people are proverbial complainers!
If you don't like it, go to an agreement la Carte restaurant and pay extortionate prices.
D. S.Not been here for a good few years..took my niece today and we both had a lovely meal and niece enjoyed the chocolate fudge cake...great food, lovely polite friendly staff.
wasn't expecting to have to put car reg details in and didn't realise till saw sign in pub after 35mins being in there as not something you look to do in pubs so after being reassured by a member of staff I should be fine and to bring letter in to have sorted by them if I get one as made me feel a bit more relaxed and will do straight away on my next visit.

C. G. (.Nice place to go out for a family meal or a pint or two. The menu has a vast variety of options available. It has a pool table and a big screen for sports. It has a heated canopy smoking area. The parking can be questionable, but best to check with the bar staff when you get there. It sometimes has a few live quizzes or card games on too.
D. J.My well done steak was under cooked and didn't have any peas not happy but the staff were very nice. My daughters cottage pie was overcooked so not impressed.

I called yesterday with my fella, it was our anniversary. He had the large surf and turf and I had small one again. His steak was rare to med and mine was blue. However, when it arrived, his was med to well done and mine was medium! Not even a line thru the middle of blood? Both had been burnt on the ends? I hope they read this, because obviously they CANT cook steaks. When asked, in the answer was, it's the best we can do????
And it's, LADY BEVERLEY, can't find anywhere else to answer your response. YOU HAVE not addressed your problems. A skillet would not make the difference, Are you so inexperienced??? You are really being evasive. Address your chef? Cooking? And address the fact that you failed.

My review is based on lots of visits over the last 12 months and overall, Consistently good food, great prices, cheap drinks, regular 25% and even 50% discount codes of meals, Free starter and desert codes (via app) Clean place, Good staff, Safe environment, What the heck do some people want nowdays for their money lol 5 Stars all the way.......

It's like the straps have never been washed since the day you got them as I remember them being pearly white which are now a grayish brown 🤮. Abit of flash or bicarb wouldnt go amiss 😂

I arrived at 9.55am for the doors to be locked 😡 a guy comes rushing over opens the door and says can I help? I said yes I booked a table for 10am he said we seen the booking and can’t understand how it happened as we don’t open till 11am but we are more than happy to accommodate you but the bar will be shut and the doors locked so you have the pub to yourselves! I can’t thank them enough...... fab breakfast and lovely place and staff...... we will be back but at 11am next time 😂😂
