K. C. W.We went for a family dinner on a Friday, which was booked the day before. Booking the table itself was very easy - automated via mobile. The Harvester pub has a fairly big car park. The ambiance was great with plenty of outside seating, which sadly couldn't be availed that day due to rain. We were served by the friendly Naomi. The menu has a very good spread and is moderately priced. We thoroughly enjoyed the tapas style 4-item starter. The burgers ordered by me and my son, and the mixed grill ordered by wife were delicious. We also enjoyed the complimentary unlimited salad section. We were too full to try out dessert, despite the options sounding yummy. Overall it was a lovely dining experience.
N. S.Visited for an evening meal after work. Really nice welcoming restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Seating area was clean. Food was really tasty, well cooked and really filling. Our server Kara was very attentive. Large car park and clean toilets. The only slight issue was a 30 minute wait for the mains after being served from the salad bar, but the food was worth the slight wait.

c. g.Called in here mid week around 10am with my sons for the unlimited breakfast. It was our first visit so the host, Aleta, took time to explain the choices to us and clearly explained the nut allergy app in use as it was relevant. It wasn't busy and we were made to feel welcome. Unlimited breakfast was decent as were the 5 stack pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Lewis was the chef that day. Didn't use any facilities other than the car park which was easy to find and exit onto the main road.

Didn’t ask how our food was and didn’t warn me that the pot the custard for my dessert was in was boiling hot. Not the best experience tonight.

C. W.Been here a couple of times now for meals on a company allowance. Decent number of burgers/meals for around £15, and refillable soft drink at £3.50. Friendly staff and clean, tidy restaurant. Only dropping one star as I feel I waited a while for my food and drinks when ordering via the app.

L. H.My Mum and I went in on Tuesday and were server by Ellen. She provided a first class service making us feel like we were the most important people in the place, and after the sort of day we had had this was greatly appreciated. She gave sound advice about the food and made suggestions to ensure we would enjoy our meals. Bright and bubbly personality.
Our food, cooked by Eamonn and Andy was delicious. Calamari and mushrooms for starters were great. For mains, my chargrilled chicken skewers were succulent and a great choice. Mum's chicken and waffle was mouthwatering.
We had a wonderful time and will return again soon.

J. P.We were served by several waitresses during our stay at Wilford Farm, our local Harvester they were: Lisa, Julia and Alleta. They were respectful very polite to our two grandsons Harry and Alfie and ourselves.
The food was cooked properly by the Chef’s: Adam and Selena.
If I could just make one comment, hopefully a positive one, the serving staff are slowed down by having to respond to serving at the salad bar this took a waitress from taking orders and delivering hot food to customers this I noticed a lot as the staff had to keep apologising all the time to waiting customers.

S.Being served salad like I was back at primary school was a really poor experience and there was visible frustrations from other diners whilst queuing to get served salad too as they were trying to serve food aswell as serving up salad. This really is a poor change and will put me off returning in the future tbh.
Staff were really polite though but very stretched and were obviously used to being questioned about it.

M.Food is okay here, lots of options and decent vegetarian menu, however, pretty long wait times and the staff now has to do all of the salad bar, which you think might be helpful for covid but they didn't wear gloves or anything while touching the bowls or the utensils - although it is free unlimited salad at the start with every main meal. They don't do it with the drinks machine however and so the screen is obviously a hazard when you're going for your unlimited soft drinks. It's generally more expensive than most places but you will undoubtedly get a lot of food. The only reason I gave it 3 stars though is because of the amazing staff they have on the floor, so friendly, kind and helpful.

R.Elita was our server and she was just brill she had an inviting vibe her welcoming smile she gave my 3 year old such a brill time she would talk to her like a person she played with her toys and even treated her to a toy with permission she served our salad politely and even made our my little girl a special drink not on the menu honestly I cannot recommend this lady enough she just made the environment feel safe and calm there was nothing she wouldn’t do to please my daughter and the food was soo yummy and well prepared by Lewis .

J. T.Lovely food and friendly staff - this is the best Harvester we have been to. We had the rotisserie chicken and chips and they were so nice, the chicken was juicy and not dry and the sage and onion seasoning was very tasty. With Covid restrictions the salad buffet is done for you by a server, but that was no problem at all, we were able to have as much of anything we wanted. Thank you to our server Matthew … ps it’s a tea cake not a cob lol 😂 (sorry!)

We were sat outside and had an initial problem with wasps which were hovering around us. The issue was resolved with assistance from Danielle, the shift supervisor and we moved tables.
The food here is so tasty, really is no where else that compares to Harvester, which is also complimented by the free salad bar. I was just disappointed that no bread rolls were available at the time.

You are reliant on your server taking you too and selecting the salad you require. This feels awkward and puts an awful lot of pressure on the hard working server. Oddly the drinks machine is free to use independently. If they are trying to mitigate cross infection risk they really should clean the screen more regularly and have sanitizer near. The food was good and generous. We had an issue with what should have been a Vegan dish but was served with A yorkshire pudding. Definitely not vegan. There was some confusion and misinformation between the kitchen and server. Please do check if you have dietary restrictions or allergies. Otherwise good and a relaxing environment.

W.It's just okay, not a real pub but a corporate eating place. Not eaten here since lockdown so no food review. We sat outside in the sunshine on a wooden bench, I drank beer my friend drank too up cola. Staff are friendly and smile, so felt welcome, will call again but won't expect the ' pub ' experience.

T. A.Like the idea that the salad counter is made up for you by the staff but no one had face visors on. There was a one way system to enter and exit the building but no one way system within the pub itself so people were walking about all over the place. And the salad bar was in the main inward walking route so in terms of air borne particles this is not good. The food was great though and the staff served us well in the current circumstances and it's good to be back.

D.Went for breakfast and seemed to me that there weren't enough staff considering the new rules. The woman serving us had quite a few tables to look after, and considering she now has to get us our drinks/toast/cereal etc which she didnt before it obviously added more to her plate, and it showed in the slow service. Bit concerned that bottles of sauces were being passed around tables without being sanitized (many places have gone to sachets to avoid contamination) and that I was sent burnt food. Wouldn't be in a rush to return whilst this is the setup.
In response to harvesters reply re sauce bottles, they were absolutely not being sanitized! When we arrived, she gave us the bottles straight from another table that had just been vacated, then took the sauces back from us to give to another table whilst we were still sat there.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, mum (who usually struggles to eat a small meal) managed to clear a rack of ribs and came away having been completely satisfied. S. S.We visited Harvester Wilford yesterday for a pre Cricket match munch. Myself and my support worker colleague were really impressed with the professionalism and politeness of the staff on duty. Danielle who served us was extremely patient as we had to divide the orders up. Even taking cash and happy to provide the receipts we need to ensure the PWS finances balance. As for our lads they loved tbe grub. We visited around 2 years ago and we all agreed yesterday we wont leave it so long next time before we go back.

The bonus is that there is plenty of parking and the service is friendly. I haven't personally tried the lunch or dinner menu yet.

We went for breakfast, they ran out of bread for toast, long waits for everything due to limited staff and new set up due to Covid restrictions. Disappointed to see only hand dryers in the toilets which seemed strange in the current climate and no social distancing measures when moving around the restaurant and toilet areas.
m. g.Wow! I've not been here for at least 2 years and I came in last minute after fasting for 24 hours so was really hungry. I opted for the 16oz Ribeye Steak cooked medium and it didn't disappoint! It was HUGE and about 2.5 to 3 inch thick and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be popping in again soon for a repeat but unfortunately I couldn't finish the steak it was so huge, although I managed 90% of it. Great food and attentive staff.

The staff and service were reasonably good. The food was weirdly Americanised.The coffee was terrible. I wouldn't make an effort to go there again, but I wouldn't rule it out if circumstances called for it.

The food is always good, but the salad bar is always questionable....I don't think I've ever seen edible coleslaw in the salad bar!
Breakfast is again okay but is it worth the money? Premier Inn is a lot better and cheaper than harvester. Overall not bad, I will keep going here but it's not the best.

The service however was awfully slow. With most of the staff running round wondering where to start. I dread to think what it's like at capacity.
A. H.A good looking exterior upon arrival with a modern outdoor seating area. The main entrance has it's own disabled lift ramp for easy access. Inside it's decorated nicely in what appears to me to be a contemporary barn style reflective of its previous use. Again it's very clean and the staff attentive and pleasant. More importantly, the food, the usual offerings as you'd expect but I did have the 12oz rump steak and that was magnificent! A great cut of meat superbly cooked keeping the taste in. The child's portion was slightly on the large side.
Most definitely worth a visit but visiting on a Sunday I'd advise reserving your table as it did become very popular.

T. W.During the tough times and social distancing my mum took me for a good old steak as a birthday meal and as always harvester os one of the best. I would like to give a special thanks to our waitresses (i forgotyour name sorry) but i will remember that beautiful smile that made my birthday even more memorable

J. G. (.As i entered, i was blown away at how good the restaurant looked after the renovation. I was told there was a 30 minute wait on a table, and i was sat down after 15 minutes.
Salad bar had some new items which was refreshing, the waitress had a smile on her face and she could not do enough for us. Our meal came out in 10 minutes, i had the harvester classic spit roast chicken, and the food was really hot and tasty.
Many thanks to the team and chefs as we really felt welcome and had a thouroughly enjoyable experience. Definately recommended!

Added bonus - I paid with my Harvester app. No awkward hunting for change for the tip among chewing gum and used tissues in my handbag. The app works it out for you and adds it to the bill. Sorted.
My time here was efficient, I was satisfied.

Very well organised regards Cov19 procedures and all the staff are polite.
We checked on line to see if they were serving and booked a table online at same time.

Was busy and had to wait for a table so would advise booking ahead, and they font take bookings within two hours on the same day I tried that haha! Food was very good for the price got more than I expected of the main menu my mate who Got the budget early bird obviously a got a smaller portion! Service nice but the place gets busy. It's not the Ritz its a harvester but the surroundings are lovely n the place decent.

J. G.Pros: Food good value, arrived hot and in good time, well worth the price. Service was quick and friendly and the open plan makes for a nice lay out. Salad bar was well stocked and varied, food was lovely and they have plenty of choice on the menu for all diets. Nice area out front that serves as a beer garden or a place to eat in nicer weather.
Cons: Disabled access difficult as the lift at the front of the Restaurant is currently out of order. A bit dark and dim near the back of the building so perhaps wouldn't recommend for lone eaters. The view out front looks straight onto the car park and main road and there are no indoor or outdoor play areas for children so perhaps wouldn't recommend for parents of younger families. Salad bowls were a bit dirty and the restaurant sits somewhere between a family pub and a more upmarket public house but isn't quite either.

Little bit dismissive when I asked to be sat some where quiet as both of our children have ASD and when it’s noisy they get stressed and anxiety

We carried on and had a meal
Which was both tasty and on quick to serve

A. S.Hot fresh food. What I love about this Harvester and all the other ones... You know what your getting. Hot fresh food. Yes when it's busy you may have to wait but they are cooking meals to order. The salad cart with sauces and bread rolls is a deciding factor why we go. This restaurant in particular is very big but the staff always have a smile. How ever busy it is.
