Reviews of Dosa Park
T. M.
We have been here a couple of times before. On this occasion I went there about 2pm on a saturday afternoon for lunch as I was driving through Oxford. It was a good place to go as I was able to park my car at the very nearby Railway station parking which offers parking for a full day for about £4. Dosa Park is cafe style in its decor and ambience. Typically for a place like this, it attracts mostly students and asian tourists who are perhaps missing home cooked food. It was easy to get a table and the service is fairly quick. They have an extensive menu.
The Idli sambhar I ordered was good except I found the sambhar too hot (taste wise) which is maybe a personal thing. The other two condiments or chutneys were flavoursome. The Idlis were steaming hot when they arrived but they seemed quite hard. They may have been frozen and reheated in a microwave. Still, they were ok. Reasonably priced. Great selection for vegetarians. May stop by here again if in the area. Enjoy!

If you are a south Indian, you will love this place. You'll find Idly, vada, Dosa varieties, biryani, Indian chai, kapi (coffee) and other dishes. The restaurant is on the west entrance to the city, close to the railway station. The place can get crowded during rush hours, but there are tables outside aswell.
S. D.
we had ordered lamb biryani which comes with raita and salan. it tasted very authentic.....typical south indian style biryani, spicy and flavorful....highly recommended. For dessert, we ordered 1 plate of rasmalai which contains 2 pieces. The taste was okay, very plain, not bad but nothing great. Overall had a very good experience. And its very pocket friendly as well
P. T.
Dosa park is an ideal restaurant for those missing Indian food! I had ordered Special Pongal thali, and it was very tasty, hot, fulfilling and fresh. I would highly recommend to try their food once.
C. V.
Good dosa and mango lassi. I like the simple atmosphere inside, unlike some other Indian places.
Lost 2 stars for the price. Lassi is probably standard price (almost £4) but I had a plain dosa with sambar and chutney for £8.99, which seems to me too expensive.
Y.
Their menu seems to be quite diverse, not just limited to food from the south of the subcontinent.
I ordered a Mysore Masala Dosa.
The portion size was ideal for my ravenous appetite.
Masala could have been made more spicy.
R. B.
Amazing food at a great price with plenty of vegetarian options.
South Indian currys + the usual dosa/idli/vada are amazing.
A must visit for real Indian food.
a. s.
Absolutely amazing food although the prices made it lose 1 star. But other than the prices amazing. Also staff is very friendly. Picture is the masala dosa with sambar and chutney.
T. C.
Very delicious vegetarian as well as meaty options in very typical and traditional south Indian style!!
Thali has almost 10 different items including lentils, chickpeas, vegetables, okra, rice, papadom, chapatti as well as traditional vermicelli!!
Economical as well as delicious!!
Walking distance from Westgate shopping centre Oxford!!
A must try!!!

Went their for the first time on Pongal. It was well decorated to bring in the essence of the festival. They had a special Thali which we ordered with masala dosa. The food and starters were yummy and plentiful in the portion.
You will have to struggle to find parking on a busy day as there is no dedicated Customer parking.
R. K. S.
Average place for South Indian snacks and I dian meals. Food quality average. Fine for a quick bite and when hungry.
Advantage is nearer yo the station.
F. B.
Had a lovely lunch at this restaurant. It is a simple restaurant but the taste of the Food is very authentic and proper South Indian! We tried Idly, Vada, Mysore Dosa and Uttapam! All tasted yummilicious! Staff was friendly too. Certainly value for money! Definitely recommend. Looking forward to try their thali next time!
K. E.
The best southern Indian food I've had since being in southern India. Great value for money and great flavor
L.
Having spent a lot of time in South India with South Indian friends I know how the authentic foods of South India taste. I was so excited to find this restaurant as it's rare to find South Indian food in the UK..
I ordered a simple plain dosa with sambar and chutneys. Coconut chutney and two others, one of which I remember from India..I think there is much less spice than in India and I would have liked the coconut chutney to be thicker with curry leaves and a tiny little more flavour.
The flavours took me right back to South India. It was nice to see Indian people coming here which shows the authenticity of the food.
Of course the food is expensive in comparison to what one would pay in India. This is Oxford after all! For me it was worth it!
T.
I haven't had a better dosa outside of India. This establishment does authentic Indian food to a very high standard. If you're stopping in Oxford for anything I suggest you eat here.
n. r.
Slow service, the food was pretty good. Expected a decent filter coffee but was disappointed.
T.
Delicious, traditional food! Not your normal gravy in a bag Indian. Between 3 we had: 2 dosa, 1 thali and a vada and it was way more than enough. Although it seems a little pricey, you receive a lot of wonderful food. We shared everything which meant every bite was something new, with each sambal and chutney bringing new flavours and the rest bringing great texture. The service is lovely too. It’s an experience and one of the best places to eat in Oxford!
K. M.
It was the first restaurant we decided to visit after the lockdown eased on 17th May 2021. My wife and I ordered different kinds of Dosas and mini-Idli at the Dosa Park, and would strongly approve of the food. Both the dosas and Idli were tasty and as close to authentic dosas as you would find anywhere. The sambar was really good, but the chutneys were very average in my opinion. The service is also prompt and quick, and the waiting time was short. If you are looking for a good south Indian food close to the city centre, Dosa Park is a great option.
PS - Please don't visit Dosa Park if you are looking for a great ambience, polished interiors or any sign of grandeur. However, if you are looking for a great south Indian food, I would highly recommended it.

I am so glad I found Dosa Park! I was traveling back from Oxford and I needed to store my luggage. So this place was suggested by the Bounce (luggage storage) app. When I went back to pick my luggage, I decided to have a late lunch there.
I asked if they had ghee roast (dosa with ghee) since it wasn’t on the menu to which they said they can make it for me 😍 To complement it, I asked for filter coffee too.
After a long day of walking, that meal just elevated my mood and physical strength! Would definitely go back!
My order totaled to £12.44
F. K.
Full stars for the food and staff behavior. Initially we were quite apprehensive about the quality of food but we were literally impressed with the taste of Masala Dossa that they served. It was undoubtedly one of the best dossa and Filter Coffee we ever had. Would highly recommend to everyone to try this and I'm sure you will love it.

I am a regular here. This small-scale family business serves the best Indian food I have had outside of India. The flaws that one typically finds in the UK's South-Asian restaurants are absent here. The food is very flavoursome as well as wholesome, in stark contrast to the overly sweet and salty dishes topped with a layer of oil that are often served in South-Asian restaurants of this price category. The interior design, despite its warm colours, is stylishly simplistic, again a rare sight in Indian restaurants in the UK. Unfortunately, the toilets are always very messy here, giving the impression of bad hygene. The portions are generous and the prices very fair. One of my go-to restaurants in Oxford. An additional benefit to this place is that, unlike most restaurants in Oxford, the kitchen stays open until relatively late.
D. R. K.
Nice South Indian hotel. We tried masala Dosa. Curd rice. It is very tasty and must try hotel in Oxford. The price is high seems to be but that okay as good taste. Please try this hotel for best Indian style food.
S. R.
Awesome Dosa, with a very authentic taste. Usually coconut chutneys never taste good outside, but here it was very authentic. And very affordable too.
S. P.
Loved it, great service and the masala dosa, with hot chutney and the tangy savoury tamarind sauce mouthwatering.
For a quick lunch and washed down with a cold sprite. Who could ask for more?
Well I could ... you don't get to my size by dodging the masala dosa.
Come, eat and let a notch out of the belt.
S. R.
We had masala dosa, curd vada and spicy fried idli. My favourite were the spicy idlis. They were soft plus had a crunch element to it. Masala tea and filter coffee were exactly like we have it back home. Definitely, will visit again when in Oxford.
J. J.
Excellent curry, great balance of spices. Service was average, had to fight for the waiter’s attention and then he was resistant to a request for a garlic and cheese naan. After finally checking with the kitchen, they couldn’t provide a naan as apparently they were busy making other things. I then asked for a garlic and cheese paratha, which he accepted, and then gave me a plain paratha. Maybe the chef refused, maybe the waiter just couldn’t be bothered. Was only saved by the delicious curry.
Also, £11 for just a curry! Seems exorbitant, wasn’t a very big portion either. Surely rice should be included.
W. P.
Love a vegetable thali and this was a very good one.
s. p.
It was a very nice Indian food. All the items that we had were tasty but a couple of items may not be too great but good.
H. M.
I thought I didn’t like too much Indian food but this restaurant changed my mind
Everything is delicious and well presented!
A. R.
Having been to Southern India, this restaurant had a lot to live up to and we weren't disappointed. Fabulous food, generous portions, friendly staff and great value for money, will definitely be returning soon!
J. S.
What a lovely family restaurant. Perfect dosa, veg thali and absolutely lovely chicken chittand.
Friendly.staff and excellent service.
T. P.
I went here two times. I am not sure if it is authentic by Indian standard, but definitely delicious for my east Asian taste buds and not the same as British fake Indian restaurants. Vada is hot and flavourful. Egg dosa is big portion, but they don’t have the source between the egg and dosa. Veg Thali is amazing.
Price was reasonable for me. The portion size is nice too. There are a lot of people just come and eat alone, so I presume the price is to the cheap end.
Service was alright. Not extremely friendly but they are very efficient.
C. H.
Gem of traditional southern India! Dosas (savoury stuffed pancakes) superb...this is a non licenced restaurant, so soft drinks are available.
H. R.
Authentic, fresh and tasty South Indian food. If you've tasted South Indian food in India or Malaysia then you'll know what I mean.
J. B.
A great southern Indian cafe. Loads of veg and non veg dishes from the southern states.
I had the Thali with a side order of lamb curry. The only thing I didn’t eat was the napkin.
Good food, fast service, nice ambience. What more do you need?
Unlike most Indians they do a variety of different lassi. I had mint lassi. Nice. Prices are very reasonable.
M. G.
Dosa and methi gosht were excellent. Mixed veg curry was a bit underwhelming in contrast. No frills south indian restaurant with relatively quick service - definitely worth a visit overall.
K. M.
Tender and delicious lamb, very spicy!
M. F.
Fantastic food, couldn’t recommend more. Masala dosa and the fish curry were both delicious!
P. K.
We had never sampled South Indian cuisine before. The dose was quite a new treat
C. T. J.
A small Indian restaurant and the Dosa was ok and the service was good . Had issues with the filter coffee and the staff immediately gave us a new one without additional charge
B. G.
Superb, traditional, authentic Indian food in an unassuming little place right outside Oxford Station
S. S.
Very healthy portions, good choice of South Indian foods and reasonably priced
D. T.
Wanted to grab a quick bit before heading off on the train. Genuinely surprised: one of the best curries I've ever had (no exaggeration). We ordered the butter chicken and chicken curry (spicy). Definitely visiting again next time I take the train to Oxford.
M. B.
Amazing taste and really enjoyed the dosa as like I wanted it to be. 😇
S. G.
I can't give it less than 5 stars. Excellent place with really authentic South Indian taste. Being an Indian from New Delhi where you can get fantastic South Indian food, I feel like I am an authority on what dosa should taste like. This place had a great dosa, delicious sambhar and I enjoyed the pistachio kulfi milkshake as well.
The ambience is simple but pleasant. They don't go in for fancy decor, but they focus on the taste of the food and they are spot-on there. I could sit there and chat with my friend normally without any loud music which was perfect for us.
Cannot find any fault with the service even if I try. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I hate people who treat waiting staff disrespectfully, so my challenge to myself is always to try and get the waiting staff with just an eye-contact and nothing more. It works sometimes. It works very well at Dosa Park because the staff is quite attentive. We had no issues or delays in placing the order, getting the food or any other requests we had.
One of my criteria for service is to see how much attention they pay to any custom request. My friend wanted a milkshake then, I wanted mine later. They remembered and delivered just that way without needing a reminder from me.
I was meeting a friend after a long time, so we hung out there for more than 3 hours. They did not give us the bill to hint, did not give us any dirty looks and definitely did not ask us to leave even when they got quite busy. I can appreciate that kind of chilled, customer-friendly attitude. They did not give us the bill until we asked for it. I like that. That shows class.
Would definitely want to go there again, for any celebrations or night outs in the near future and I would highly recommend the place to anyone wanting good vegetarian food.
Word of warning, it gets quite busy in the evening, try to book a table to avoid disappointment if you are going during rush times.
I. M.
Decent South Indian cuisine.
Food was tasty but found the curry’s to be very watery.
Service was above average.
V. L.
Strategically placed near the train station this is a very good South Indian restaurant. Most of the menu is very good. The dosa and vada specially. I think it is a little on the pricier side and could be a tad cheaper. The good is tasty and you couldn't go wrong trying the place out for some South Indian cuisine
M. M.
Great place four South Indian tasty dishes
Y. H.
Dosa Park came to operate a dosa station at a wedding. It was the most fascinating attraction and the dosa were perfect, just like in Chennai only.
A. C.
Authentic south Indian fare - Tamil cuisine to be specific. We love the dosas and the Thali. Have lost the count of masala dosas we had there. In summer they have outdoor seating - a perfect place to enjoy mango lassi... But don't expect the north Indian dishes to be same as the usual Indian restaurant.
P. c. b.
We tried dosa, fish fry,and pakora...dosa and pakora is good..but Masala fish fry is not good, the fish is not totally cooked
L. J.
Big selection of South Indian food. Had a great chicken masala dosa with sambar, and some vada. Servings sizes are extremely generous - don't make the mistake I did and think "I'll have a dosa and a few other things". A dosa is more than enough on its own.
Also, while from the outside it looks like a basic take-away place, inside it is a very nice place to sit and eat.
M. D.
Best place for a quick and delicious meal. Staff were friendly and helpful.
M. B.
Amazing food, truly the best Indian food I have experience. Four people full tummies for £45 all in. No alcohol but didn't miss it. Great service with a smile. I live 2 hours away but would recommend it 100%. Wow. 👌👌👌👌
C. K.
Very tasty and well priced food. Service is excellent. Good selection for vegetarian and vegan meals, and meat eaters too. I have been several times and recommend both lunch and dinner.
M. U.
Visited as part of a big group. Food was okayish, service was slow and toilets weren't clean
S. B.
Had a proper South Indian thali, sumptuous tasty. The lamb was a bit chewy, possibly because it's not a very popular choice. Would definitely visit again. Visited in 2022, and the quality still holds good.
D. M.
We ordered the masala dosa and a chicken biriyani. Both dishes were just fantastic, seasoned really well and were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend.
J. B.
Great service. Excellent south Indian Thali and dosa. Great asset for Oxford.
J. J.
I'm a bit disappointed this time at this fav South Indian place. I've been here for dine-in once before and the service was excellent. The bajjis - both the potato and egg and the chicken pakoras - all tasted crispy and good. There could be more selection of sauces, I felt. They were good portions and we didn't have to wait long. The filter coffee disappointed, it was not hot enough, was not that strong, aromatic, milky, tasty coffee that I was hoping for. The dosa was okay,. And sadly, I have to also suggest that the reception staff could be more welcoming and polite.
P. K. P.
Extremely good and enjoyed the food and service. It's a bit too costly.
J. K. D.
It was ok. Liked the sambar. Meals were ok.
I. S.
Amazing food!! Simple, to the point & hits the spot!
K. S.
Top tier South Indian food, honestly felt like I was back eating in my grandma's house in India again coz the food was that authentic. Would deffo recommend!
d. d.
Awesome authentic Naan, a must try. Affordable food and quick service.
t. h.
Since moving to Oxford 2 years ago we've taken our time to find our 'go to' takeaway for when people visit. Travelling to Southern India & Sri Lanka gave me a real love for Dosa's, this place gives me the same buzz. Top drawer.
J. L.
Went back for a dosa recently after not having visited for a long time and was nice to see they've changed the decor inside. Looks really nice.
Fantastic dosa- crispy and delicious! Yum!
J. L.
Truly authentic. Felt like I was back in India. Incredible.
S. M.
Food is amazing!! Vegetable curry and paratta 💯
C. L.
This is the best Indian food I've had in the UK. Authentic and delicious dishes from a very unassuming little restaurant. The service and decor are a bit scruffy by some standards, but it doesn't matter: the food was all amazing. Perfectly balanced flavours, excellent variety, and reasonable pricing.
D. T.
Indian restaurant serving your typical Indian dishes. Food is good quality but a little pricey. Butter chicken was particularly good. However, when the place gets busy, it takes the staff a lot of time to clean off the tables. I preferred taking the food back with me to my hotel rather than sit at a dirty table. Otherwise, nice place and nice staff.
P.
Ordered vada, price was good but the vada was not fried enough. Sambar tasted like plain daal, no sambhar flavour at all. Service was good and prices were reasonable.
K. P.
You can enjoy quality food Al fresco style soaking buzz of Oxford's city life. Kids drinks choice could be better but overall great experience. Thalis are recommended.
B.
Dear Anna....
Missing your delicious meal..
Thank you for dosa park in the Uk, which satisfies every Indian's Taste buds...
May God bless your work and your team..
r. M.
My order arrived exactly on time. A pleasant guy delivered it. Polite too.
All the food was hot and well presented.
My spinach dahl was very good. The plain rice was good too. The spinach and onion bahji was very good. Poppadoms fresh. The pickles, mint yogurt and dip very good too.
My issue with most Indian food is the Nan bread.. I've not found a good one anywhere until now.
Peshwari nan tasting of almond in every bite. Cut into 4 pieces so easy to grab and eat. Not soggy or undercooked. Not ovet cooked and burnt either... THE BEST I'VE HAD!
I will definitely order here again and recommend that others do too.
Thank you Dosa Park. 😊
A. K. H.
We were there today and had the best service
We ordered Masala Dosa, Mysuru Dosa, Medhu Vada, Tamrind rice, Veg Biriyaani.
Food was served with in 20 mins and it eas delicious. Hotel is very hygenic and its worty paying the money
Thanks,
R. G.
Surprisingly good. The place has improved since my last visit; better decor, better menu and more variety. They sell a kind of Bombay mix on the counter too and also supply mouth freshener (Indian style). Plenty of veggie options and helpful staff mean I will visit again.
K. S.
A reasonably priced South Indian restaurant close to Oxford station. Service is decent and the quality of the food served is good for the price charged. Plenty of seating available including outside seating. Restrooms available. Wheelchair and disabled friendly but seating might be a challenge. Hygiene and cleaning require attention.
J. L.
Cheap and cheerful. Authentic South Indian cuisine, particularly the dosa sets. I also really like the thalis (these are eat-in only). They also do quick takeout, though it's a lot of styrofoam packaging. If the restaurant is really full, the service can be very slow - one time it took us 45 min to get our food after ordering - but I would say the norm is about 15 min. Some outdoor seating if the weather is nice.
C. M.
Good food at the heart of Oxford. Nice staff. The portions were quite well served. Quite strong. For an Indian food lover though not Indian like myself, I don't have the tolerance for spicy food that Indians have. Still, I ate it all. ♥
a.
Lovely food, very authentic. I came with my sister; I had a plate of idly while my sis had lamb chukka. They were both scrumptious. Definitely recommended especially for people who are travelling and miss cuisine from back home.
S. P.
So I'm just wandering to the station needing a late night bite and I have never thought twice about trying Dosa Park. It was a bit intimidating to go in as they were clearly trying to close and its kinda a half restaurant and half take away place. But...wow the samosas and noodles I ordered were absolutely amazing! So fresh and packed full of flavour really tasty Indian food :)
A. S.
Really loved the masala dosa here, honestly one of the best we've ever tasted. Not to spicy, generous potato filled dosa... and the coconut chutneys are GORGEOUS. Defo recommend anyone who likes a good dosa to come here. They also do other south indian dishes like idli, indo chinese noodles and curries...!
S. M.
The veg thali was excellent for the price. Value for money in terms of quantity and quality of food. Other individual chicken and mutton dishes were tasty and good quantity as well. Service was fairly quick and friendly & helpful staff. Tea and coffee served at the end was also amazing. Definitely a recommended place for Indian food.
H. T.
I've enjoyed the vegetable thali many times, and each time it seems the very best thing I've ever eaten.
P. C.
Oxford's best kept secret! Dosa Park doesn't look like much from the outside and is nothing fancy once you walk through the door but the food is out of this world. Best South Asian cuisine for miles around. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian dishes, many of which are gluten free as well. Friendly staff and criminally low prices. Never very busy, always very delicious!
M. P.
Great food but the decor lets the place down. I would return but only if i am wanting a Dosa.
As there is no competition there is no need to up their game.
P. K.
The food was nice and customer service was okay.
T. k.
Easy to located, walking distance from Oxford railway station. It had a standard south indian menus. Most of the items priced nominal. Idli and coffee was tasting good. Serving was quick .The seating arrangements were not proper and covid-19 regulations weren't followed much. Recommended for a quick and simple foods
D. T.
I always walked passed this place and wanted to try it since it was my last day in Oxford. The dosa and samosa I ordered was fantastic. Freshly made samosa with a not-too sweet tamarind sauce. Nice and well balanced. The Masala dosa and its sides were wonderful, fresh, crispy and hot. I would have wished for it to be even spicier, since I do like my food with lots of chilli but otherwise a good place with reasonable pricing. Would definitely come here again if I return to Oxford.
D. J.
Absolutely amazing. The staff were ridiculously lovely in accommodating our very large group. The food was prepared on the spot and I cannot tell you how delicious it was. It was authentic, prepared in a hygienic manner, and even the basic curry dishes consisted of tender meat falling off the bone - not like the typical horrid food that takeaways tend to supply!
The best part about Dosa Park is that for all this amazing food, it is hard to find a dish under £7. This place has left me speechless and I can't believe that I haven't visited it before, even though I live close-by. A great recommendation, and a place that I will visit again!
S. M.
I am seldom moved to post reviews about anything, but I feel compelled to share my experience of the Dosa Park. I have often asserted that the decor of any Indian restaurant is inversely proportional to the quality of the food and the Dosa Park reinforces this theory. Prepare to be underwhelmed upon entering the premises, it is clean but outwardly austere. There ends any criticism of the place. The food is simply exquisite, in my 50 years on this planet this has to rate amongst the best food that I have ever tasted. Chilli prawns to start, and then Butter Chicken with boiled rice for a main was my treat and I can't speak highly enough of my meal. Give it a whirl...you won't regret it.
A. L.
The food was very good, although the sambar needed more flavour and the food overall needed more salt. The coffee wasn't really filter coffee, as it probably lacked the chicory component found in south India. But the food was delicious, fulfilling and reasonably priced. Now, if only they would deliver......
S. R.
The lamb masala dosa and mini idlis are my favourite here. Please don't go on their ambience as their food is to die for. Authentic south indian food.
M. C.
AMAZING!!!! By far the best Indian food I've had, it feels home made. The proportions are huge! Great value, great taste. If you're Oxford make sure to stop by to get something to eat here! The food's so DELICIOUS!!!!!#
V. K.
Do you want to eat South Indian food without traveling all the way to India? Don't go anywhere else, this is simply best tasty India restaurant, This is the great example of restaurant where you can have authentic taste without spending money on luxurious look, posh looking kitchen or nicely dressed waiters. Simply the best. Must go and feel like little India.
M. M.
The food was absolutely amazing. I only had take away form here but the prices were fair.
Can't comment on facilities as I only saw them in passing but the place felt very friendly. Some of the best I've had.
Edit:
I've been ordering from this place for a while now. I dropped one star as the food seems to vary in quality on a daily basis.
N. C.
Came here for a light dinner while staying in oxford. I was really pleased that they were taking the social distancing seriously, they had chairs and tables outside so you could space yourself away from other diners which was a big plus for me! The starters were good as was the mango lassi. In total I spent about £34 here for 2 starters (chicken and veg), 2 lassis, and 2 dosas (one veg, one chicken). I would say the dosa batter is a bit thicker than ones I’ve had in London but I still enjoyed the filling and flavour of everything I had. Would recommend this place if you’re visiting Oxford, want some South Indian food and would like the option to have halal if you don’t want to stick to just veg.
S. A.
Indian style dosa with great taste. All food is good
S. B.
We couldn't get food without prior reservation
y. t.
Nice place and good south indian food. Ordered the thali and didn't spare anything. Worth a visit if you are craving South Indian food.
K. M.
The place needs some TLC, food was ok but not reaturant quality - idly had a lasting smell, dosa not crispy and chilli panner was overcooked and not chilli, more sweet chilli.
A. R.
Dosa Park, is the best Indian restaurant in Oxford, hands down. They are very reasonably priced, and especially good if you are looking for an authentic Indian restaurant, especially a South Indian one. Go for the filter coffee, or for the dosa's. Or mix it up, and just get the chicken curry with rice. Or the biryani, which is equally amazing. Whenever I miss Indian food too much, I just get the bus down there. It's not much to look at, but the food speaks for itself.
D. G.
Honestly this food is incredible, easily the best Indian food I have had in Oxford. Such good value for money and clearly made with a lot of love.
M. M.
Tasty and fresh, with reasonably consistent quality. The atmosphere is also quite pleasant as the owners tried their best to decorate the room to make it more welcoming. Always happy to eat there.
R. F.
A lovely, friendly little place, just opposite the station. There's an extensive reasonably priced menu, but the outstanding value is the Vegetable Thali at £8.99, for which you get rice, chapati, poppadum, nine savoury dishes, and a dessert. Fabulous flavours, fabulous value!
C. C.
A varied & unusual menu of delicious food, all freshly prepared & served quickly and efficiently. Dosa Park is a little gem of a restaurant, the quality of which belies its humble exterior & interior decor. Spectacular value for money!
G. J.
Unarguably the best South Indian food in Oxford. Located centrally, opposite to the Saïd business school and a stone's throw away from the Train station.
The food is delicious and comes in good portions. Dosa is the speciality. The Masala Dosa and the Podi Rost Dosa are really good. The other items in the menu are also good but not the very best.
The place is affordable with per person cost averaging to about £10-15 for a full meal.
A must visit for Indian food lovers in Oxford.
H. K.
Taste was good. Had prawn curry with egg fried rice.. It became full in few minutes.. Nice to see the restaurant doing well
P. J.
Visited many times. Great food, proper south Indian taste. Average waiting time is 10/15 min. Good service. Overall great place to have India food.
A.
I have only had take away from Dosa Park and I love their food. The meals come at great prices for good sizes -enough for me to split for two days. My favorites are vindaloo chicken (perfectly spicy), pulav rice (very flavorful), dhal curry, paneer masala, and crispy Paratha. I highly recommend you to taste their wonderful dishes!
S. N.
So good. I'm not a huge expert on sub continent food, so I'm sure there are things not to like about Dosa park, but to my tastes, the food is amazing. Great dosa (obviously), like the kothu, the spinach and chana curry was great. The chicken tikka masala was decently spicey and nothing was weirdly sweet like some other Oxford Indian places I've tried.
P. W.
Very authentic veg Thali. Price is what you would expect, and they will give you a free limited top up on your meal if you strike up a conversation. Thali is available all day. The decor isn't a place where you would take someone to impress or for a night out, but food is to be highly recommended.
C. R.
I love going to Dosa Park for authentic South Indian food. They do a wide range of traditional South Indian snacks like dosa, idli, wada, parottha etc and the thali is sumptuous! The ambience of the place is casual and the food is value for money. I am not sure whether the non-South Indian food is as tasty though. For those whose meal is incomplete without a beer, this place does not serve alcohol. Additionally, I did not think the toilet facilities were very hygienic. All in all, this is a no frills restaurant and to my knowledge, the only one that does authentic South Indian food in Oxford.
S. D.
So happy that this restaurant exists in Oxford. The dosas and chutneys are very fresh. Paratha amazing. Not like the usual Indian food one encounters on a high street. Dosas are similar to savoury crepes or pancakes and are served with a curry using lentils as a base and coconut chutneys. The staff are wonderful. The food is so affordable. Can hardly believe Dosa Park is here. Well done on a fantastic restaurant!
A. O.
I absolutely love this place! I had the Chikken Tikka Masala! Heaven on a plate! It was soooo good I ordered another bowl of it!
Price was great! Food is fantastic! Will definitely visit again when in Oxford.
Thanks for a great dining experience! :-)
M. N.
Very good Indian food. I worked in India for three years and Dosa park's selection took me back there. I love their meat Thali and my wife is very fond of the spicy chicken
Z. T.
Decent South Indian food at a reasonable price. Service is alright but could be better. Food quality can be lacking in consistency across visits, so it can be a bit of a hit-and-miss.
d. b.
Beautiful food typical SE Asian
G. L.
My favourite place for Indian in Oxford
S. M.
The traditional south indian (rasam rice, etc) is good. Dosa is okay-ish. Masala was disappointing. Paneer was hard, though the tikka masala gravy was great.
s. n.
Authentic food but a little on the spicy side. The Masala dosa in particular was really good, unlike the dry rubbery ones you usually get in many restaurants
J.
These dosa are normally great but when they come from Deliveroo, they’re flabby on delivery and the chutney and dhal have often leaked everywhere.
C. J.
I've had variable experiences going here in the past, where the food wasn't as great as it looked, but went here again the other day and it was fantastic. They've improved the decor recently too. Hope it keeps up, would definitely go again.
A. A.
Delicious and authentic. Chutneys could be a bit tastier but generally excellent.
K. S.
Amazing food! Lovely staff, great prices.
A. G. (.
Had a lovely thali to celebrate Pongal. Wonderful as always. If you're unsure what to order, I can highly recommend the vada and the masala dosa.. both veggie options.
M. A. B. S.
Delicious and authentic and affordable food!
L. J.
Authentic food and very reasonable. As good as Indian Street food can get. Clean, tidy and nice atmosphere. A must for curry this side of Oxford.
N. S. K.
Must eat place for Indians, Amazing food and service.
L. H.
Outstanding food, very reasonably priced, service was slow unfortunately.
Really nice laid back atmosphere, would definitely recommend.
Was recommended to me by somebody who lives 30 miles away , tells it's own tale really
V. P.
I love this place, it has grown from a take away business to a family restaurant. Dosa Park serves authentic south Indian dishes, along with other Indian food and I rate this place far above the typical 'indian' restaurant where you would find very little authentic on the menu.
G. R.
Tastes like authentic South Indian food. There is a dearth of south indian cuisine in the UK and most Indian restaurants serve Pakistani/North Indian food.
Dosa Park makes great dosas and thali meals. The owner is from Chennai and is very friendly with the customers.
a. h.
Fabulous little place in Oxford. Delicious genuine South Indian food. Friendly people and very good value for money. Have been going there for the past few years.
E. Y.
Affordable and good. Particularly the tandoori chicken
J. L.
Recommend the Biryanis here! The food is also really cheap, so definitely worth a visit. The curries are not amazing though, which is a shame considering everything else on the menu is so good.
E. R.
Lovely food. Good for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free, with a decent selection for the carnivores too.
Quick service in a cozy venue, very convenient for the station.
R. T.
Basic appearance and no alcohol, but great South Indian food. Best Indian food in Oxford, unless you want the mock Indian served elsewhere. Try the masala dosa as your entry to South Indian food...
N. S.
It is simple, fast, wholesome food. There are light, fluffy dosas. You order, wait 5-9 minutes maximum. The place is relaxed, and the staff are helpful and kind. It's very clean. I recommend the masala dosa, thali, dals and samosa.
G. B.
Some of the nicest and most authentic southern Indian food I've eaten in the UK.
P. M.
Mediocre. Biriyani was blunt. Vada n chutneys were awesome. Little over priced for the portion. Had dosa here before which was nice. Only recommend for dosas.
S. 3.
Stopped in here briefly whist passing through Oxford. Had an amazing masala dosa. It was really tasty and good value. The staff were also really friendly. Would highly recommend.
R. S.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The chicken biryani is very delicious and the chicken tandoori is very juicy. The best Indian cuisine in UK.
P. K.
Best south Indian foods in Oxford. One should try definitely.
K. L.
Friendly staff. Really tasty food. Reasonably priced.
C. R.
Very good South Indian food. Even the Veg thali was also very full and had the required variety.. will definitely visit again..
M. H.
Fantastic food and great value. Had veg thali, Idlis, paratha. All fantastic. My son reckoned his butter chicken was 'amazing'. Enough said. Eat here.
M. C.
The best, authentic, Indian food I've tasted in UK. If you are looking for sweet out of a tin British food pretending to be Indian don't come here, this is the real thing!
S. J.
Authentic South Indian Taste..Took a detour from Motorway to get a flavour of Indian Food...Loved all the dishes we tried.and a very friendly service..Definitely recommend if you want to get THE REAL SOUTH INDIAN SPICE AND FLAVOUR....
M. B.
Good south Indian food 🥘. Table service and ordering food experience needs to be improved.
M. P.
Brilliant south Indian food. Sometimes inconsistent quality but that also adds to the charm. Iv eaten here too many times to count.
D.
Nice food, good service, shame about the ladies toilet, bin lid missing, soiled nappies. Generally hygiene needs sprucing up!!
B. B.
Really good South indian keralan type food. Very clean and friendly. No waiters thought but other than that really nice place to experience the amazing variety of food from South India.
l. m.
Delicious
Authentic
Order the Masala dosa

R. S.
Great food and service.
K. C.
Really tasty food served as soon as it's ready. Staff were friendly and helpful with deciding options on the menu. Now absolutely stuffed!
س. م.
Really one of the best South Indian food. 👍🏻
W. R.
Lovely food. To get five stars: a little less salt. I had Paneer Tikka Masala, plain rice, Vegetable Paratha, Masala Chai.
R. S.
It’s a casual, tidy eatery conveniently located near the station. It’s namesake dosa’s were excellent, but the curries were average standard and small portions for the price.
J. R. w.
Overall this was a reasonable positive experience very cheap with the money to eat out £20.Hoverever I would stick to the vegetarian options and stay well clear of the soft drinks.
R. C.
Delicious masala dosa. What more to say? Ok, memories of Thiruvananthapuram flooding back instantly.
A. S.
Tasty food, good service. Perfect if you've never had south Indian food and want to take your first step.
S. G.
Good food, though the naan could have been better
M. J.
Small eatery specializing in South Indian food.. we were a group of 6 people and we enjoyed our meal.... if you are here try there thali... prices are decent... and service is ok..
J. R.
Basic, authentic south Indian street food. Recommended.
U. H.
Food is very good. Authentic and tasty. If they can square away the lacklustre service they'll get five stars.
S. M.
South Indian food in Oxford and authentic too, service is good too, stop for a bite or a full fledge meal , do choose the delicacies to get a different taste, don't choose the usual takeaway choices like tikka or korma, keep it up guys
B. S.
Best south Indian food
A. P.
Dosa was good and food came quick, had to give only 3 stars because the vegetable noodles were incredibly bland and had no flavour. Stick to Dosa!
S. I.
Spicy & tasty like home food. Small gud place for delicious idly, Dosas, veg thali. Friendly staff. Will visit again for sure
D. F.
Best South Indian restaurant I've been to in the U.K. Very friendly staff and great price for what you get. Highly recommend.
M. L.
Truly superb South Indian food. Really excellent dosa, idli/iddly, sambar, etc. I haven't enjoyed Indian food this much for years. Friendly service too!

The food is alright. A tad bit expensive for the quality served and the decor as it's the only south Indian restaurant in the area.
P. M.
Lovely curry, authentic food and great service. Very reminiscent of previous trips to Asia. I would recommend the mixed vegetable curry
D. S.
Authentic Indian taste. Food is spicy so consult the service before ordering.
M. N.
It was ok, Dosa was undercooked sadly. Accompainiments were ok, but didn't feel authentic or as fresh as it could have been.
D. J.
My favourite restaurant in Oxford! Never disappointed, the food is always delicious.
A. B.
Got dosas and samosas as a takeaway . Very nice. No particular wish to eat in. And it does not appear to be licensed.

Good masala dosa and filter coffee. The staff are friendly. It is quiet close to the train station. A good place to eat.
A. y.
Everything was really good the only thing wrong was that the chicken tikka (starter) was really spicy and being an Indian I can tell that white people will not be able to eat that everything else was good tbh
A.
Great food. Slightly expensive. Consistently high quality, though. Ambience needs improvement.
S. P.
Excellent Food.. Must Try once in a life time❤️
