Great burgers, great hotdogs and awesome milkshakes! They are way too generous with the fries!! Love that. I would only prefer the fries to be more crispy, but that's just a personal preference. Also, I find a bit wasteful the amount of napkins they give.

Some people say this was not the best experience at the Oxford Five Guys. I have to say, for me, this was a pretty awesome experience. The staff were friendly and professional and the food was up to its normal high quality standard. Yes, Five Guys is not the cheapest burger place but its by far the best and you get what you pay for. Give me a Five Guys over MD' BK and all the rest put together. Looking forward to my next visit. Keep up the awesome work guys 👍

Phenomenal. I'm from Texas, so we know burgers. We've got several 5 Guys back home. So the food was as solid as always. But the inside was what caught me off guard. It was the cleanest one I've ever seen or been to. Spacious and the lighting was awesome. Highly recommend.

Not been to a Five Guys before, so when on one of my very infrequent visits to Oxford town centre I popped in to see what all the fuss was about. I must say the prices seemed a little steep. No menu or price lists at the door, so you have to go inside and upto the counter to see a menu. The cheese burger was ok if looking a little sad and tasted average. The cajun fries were a good size portion and quite tasty! The soda at £3.75 was a little pricey but you do get a free refill. Overall the service was quick, polite and friendly & the staff seemed happy in thier work. All of the above came to £17.45 I must say that I have had better for less. Reduce the portion size of the fries, loose the free soda refill and bring it down to around £12 and it would be much better! Just checked my receipt and I was charged for and given a regular portion of cajun fries even though I asked for a small portion.

Really happy with my meal! Staff were friendly and attentive. Food itself was perfectly cooked and filling. People say the prices are too high but the quality of food is worth it. Shame they took away the free peanuts but oh well, overall very good experience!

I had a giftcard which my sister brought me for my birthday £20. The food was great, and I had free refills on drinks. But, for 1 burger, 1 large chips and 1 drink (free refills I had 3) it was for £19 it's quite expensive. You get alot of chips, and extra chips in bag (about the same as a large if you ordered a large) they are freshly made and even show where they are from but, other chips at other fast food places tastes way better. The burger on the hand is amazing, I had cheeseburger which was amazing. Would eat again but only once or twice a year due to the price.

OK five guys branch, it is not that large so there is limited seating, on one side there are a number of booth style tables and chairs. On the other side there is a long breakfast bar table and high chairs, and normal tables. Staff are friendly and proficient, and it's get busy especially with tourists. There are a few toilets including one for disabled and baby changing. I don't remember seeing any high chairs but every branch I've been to had them. Useful addition to the fast food options in Oxford.

Last night around 8/9 pm I visited five guys for the very first time, the gentleman on till was very helpful as he explained to me their menu! I ordered a cheeseburger and Cajun fries! I wasn’t sure if I wanted a drink but he was kind enough to let me try it for FREE! So I can choose for my self next time! The burger was outstanding the gentleman selling the order - black shirt I believe he was a manager, very polite and the staff seemed so happy to work! Despite a storm outside! The food in general was amazing!

Never had a fault with five guys! The burger are out of this world. Sooo juicy and full of flavour. The atmosphere is top. The stuff are brilliant, friendly and they know their hygiene routine! I even saw the grill guy wear two gloves and changed them regularly too. Never have i felt so happy with each order. When you get a large chips MY GOD! You do get a large and more, they practical fill the bottom half of the bag with chips! 😋😋 love it. Love the fact, on the wall it shows where they get their potatoes from in england. Five guys is truly a place to go for a good time and good food. 👍

THE place to go for an authentic cheeseburger with all the trimmings. The double cooked fries are superb, and my sweet tooth was properly satisfied with an ultra thick chocolate.alt milkshake. The Burgers are very tasty with unlimited customizable options. Milkshakes are really good too. The staff is extremely friendly and let me tell you a story. Once I went as they were closing down and the online system wouldn't take my offer. The guy working there was very sympathetic and just gave me a free burger and fries! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because they are a bit pricey and I think the fries need a bit of improvement as they often feel a dry compared to e.g. McDonald's.

Love Love Love this chain. The burgers are lush, the ambience is busy but friendly. It's definitely worth the price. If you are used to paying cheap prices for your fast food then I recommend avoiding this place to avoid a heart attack when paying the bill. Otherwise treat yourself to one of the best meals ever. My personal favourites are the to die for fries and the customised options available for your drink like Sprite Zero Peach. My review does not do this chain any justice - just visit and enjoy.

Good simple burgers, good value for money and speedy service. I would recommend the little versions of the burgers with a lot of toppings for an optimal meat to other ingredients ratio. Fries are great and milkshakes are good too. Solid, professional and friendly team at this branch. Decor could not be uglier but like the loud rock music when the restaurant is busy, it is clearly intentional and designed to turn tables quicker, to which I say: fair enough.

Great food, a real surprise at how nice the burgers were. A good alternative to the generic high street brands however the collection of the meals from a separate counter is useless. When eating with young children on your own, having to keep leaving them at the table to see if ones food is available to collect - absolutely crazy! Plus the tables are filthy and no one clearing the mess left by diners results in people accumulating at the collection point so no one can get to the counter, no one can sit down, no one shouts the number of the order when it's ready so people just stand there.... All in all rather confusing. It's a good job we all really enjoyed the burgers else we probably wouldn't return. Now we know the M. O we'll be better prepared.

I am in love with Five Guys since I first came across it in New York five years ago. We here in the UK were clearly missing out then the first restaurant opened in London but now my hometown Oxford has one as well. It is the same awesome quality as I expected. I like the design (turn the music down a bit please) service was quick and friendly. As usual, a bit pricey, a bit too pricey for a fast food chain but still, worth every penny. Step aside Byron Burger, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Honest Burger, Burger King, McDonalds... Five Guys is without a doubt the best burger joint around. The burgers and chips are VERY TASTY, good size portions and well priced for the level of enjoyment. The staff are always pleasant and dynamic. The drinks machine is novel and my boyfriend loves the free monkey nuts. My only criticism, if there had to be one, is that the restaurant\diner is a little cold looking, lacking atmosphere in the bright lights BUT I get the style and this is obviously not somewhere you go to spend an evening. Well, I would if I could.

New to Oxford, 5 Guys did not disappoint. I had a cheese burger, small fries and Coke. The Cheeseburger, at £7.95 is a double burger and very filling. It was well cooked and literally dripping with juice and sauce. I had it "all the way" as far as toppings were concerned but exchanged ketchup for BBQ sauce which they manged without any fuss. I like the fact that you can customise which toppings you have at no extra cost (will try BBQ + hot sauce next time). I'm a big guy and was very happy with the portion size. I'm sure the "little cheeseburger" (the only difference being 1 patty instead of 2) would be perfectly acceptable for many people and this costs £5.95. Also the small fries was plenty big enough for me but I wonder if they will be less generous after the first week of opening? The fries were well cooked, my only complaint was they were a little salty but I wonder if you can order without salt? The drinks are self service so you can help yourself to a refill. A very positive addition to Oxford's burger scene.

Although yes it's better than McDonald's, it's far too expensive. The burger is nothing overly special, there are definitely better burgers for less money, in fact Iwould put the burger on par with a Burger King Whopper XL but the Whopper is half the price. The chips are very nice but around £4/£5 for a portion on top of a £10 burger? Really? This would have been a 2 star review if it hadn't been for the milkshake which I would happily grow obese on. All in all, £42 for 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 shakes is laughable. I would say it's as overrated as it is over priced.

This review is for Five Guys in Oxford. The service was pretty good but no matter how many times we said we wanted cooked onion the cashier responded with fresh onions. So we had fresh onions instead of grilled onions! The fries were really good and the portion size was good. The burger patties were ok. Mine was a bit dry (thank goodness for drink refills!) but the rest of my party liked theirs, so maybe just me! There were 2 carbonated drinks machines and only 1 worked. My Coke Zero tasted of fruit flavour on the first cup and Coke Zero on the second. Finally the music.. bland rubbish but maybe other people like lift music All fairly good but nothing prepared me for what was to come. The bill!! Good grief £43 for 3 burgers, 2 fries & 3 soft drinks. Seriously over priced. Sadly I won't be rushing back.

If you want a good, fresh burger, with all the trimmings, and you don't care about the price, this is a great place to go. Burgers are cooked to order, so you'll see yours on the grill. There's a huge range of toppings, from the regulars like ketchup and pickles to the exotic like jalapeños! AND YOU CAN HAVE THEM ALL! Makes your burger a little difficult to eat but you can try! The staff seem to care about the food - it's not shoddily thrown together like a regular fast food joint - and the regular burger is a double patty, so it'll satisfy your hunger. The fries are good and they do not skimp. I mean it; I've never needed more than a small portion because they just pile them on. There are hotdogs but I don't know why you'd go to a place that does such great burgers and order a hotdog. Milkshakes are thick and delicious and the flavours are free - mine's a vanilla cherry. Like everything else, though, they're not cheap. Summary? It's not fast but it's as fast as it could be when cooked from scratch. It's not cheap but it's really good and they don't skimp on the portions. Definitely a good import!

They provide a good selection of accessories at this place, including onions and mushrooms which you can add to your burger, and all the branded sauces and stuff you could ever want on your decently crunchy fries. The beef is unexciting, especially if you got a takeaway because, well, it's cold now, isn't it - but it was decently (maybe even too thoroughly) cooked, and like I say they're good with the extras. Trouble is, you can't get a takeaway burger and chips for under a tenner. EVEN IF you just want a plain unadorned patty and a non-fatal portion of fries, it's going to cost £11. I mean, what? WHY? That'd be a fiver at Bodrum Kebab and it'd be pretty damn similar. Whats more, with such a local abundance of gastropubs where you can go and sit down and be served a home-cooked burger with pub chips on a plate, with a drink, for under a tenner, I'm not sure why we need five guys. Pubs also have gluten-free bread, whereas someone at five guys had a burger wrapped in lettuce. Yeah - a plain burger wrapped in lettuce, and some fries cooling rapidly in a brown paper bag - also for £11. So, overall, not bad, with decent food and decent service. But they'd have to address the pricing and the bread issue for me to see this as a regular option.

Fast burger place. Build your own burger, no fuzz, generous size, delicious taste. In case you are worried, go for a killer shake. The Oxford crew lives up to the chain and you get what you want.

There are many US franchisees that miss the mark when they come to the UK (eg Chipotle) but this one is as close as it gets. Taste and portion sizes are the same as the original store in DC (i lived there for most of my life). One thing I would ask though is to lay off the heavy hand when salting the fries!

Loud and fast, this burger joint specialises in cooking food fresh in a bouncing music filled atmosphere. Burgers are normally in your hands within 10 minutes and the drinks machine serves every flavour of soda under the sun. In my opinion the only downside is that a fountain drink is slightly more than £3. Even with free refills it seems a bit pricey however the vending machine is a bit novel. And free refills. I was going to give this place four stars because of the drink price but to be fair you don’t have to pay that so I give it five stars. To Europeans who may be unfamiliar, You can refill your beverage for free. Yes, FREE. I know what you’re thinking: How can they do that? Nobody does that. Why would they do that - free refills? Is there something wrong with the soda? Why would anyone want to drink that much? Oh my God the machine dispenses ice why would anyone want ice? I like my drinks room temperature and small. WHY IS IT SOOOO BIIGGGG. Why is the machine accessible by customers so they can drink as much as they want? Why does the machine have so many zero calorie options? Why are the soda machine so big and why two? We like to wait in line for drinks so it should be one machine. If all those things bother you just asked for a free water cup and shut the f@ak up.

The staff is been amazing, my baby put the burger in the floor and the staff/duty manager not sure who was, he mentioned the name but I forgot, replace it at no extra cost ... that’s the way to run a restauant ...
