A. H.Absolutely amazing food & experience! We visited last night, & it was easily the best dining we've had in Oxford & the best Indian cuisine I've had in my life. From beginning to end, we were impressed, from cocktails to chicken lollipop app to our 2 curries, bread & rice. Met the owner who gave individual attention to each table, ensuring our every need was met & sharing a piece of his culture with us through food & drink! Highly recommend!
T. M.Tribe is the best Indian restaurant you will find in Oxford. The food is home-cooked with the freshest ingredients. The whole staff is dedicated and the place itself is an intimate setting that really enhances the whole experience. I never write reviews but this restaurant really deserves it. Enjoy!
S. Z.Inexpensive but delicious food with very generous helpings! We really liked the ambience too — gives the place a sort of nice, cosy, homely feel. We weren't sure what sort of cuisine it would be just looking at the restaurant, but it is a kind of mix of Indian, Asian and some other types of cuisines — perfect if you can't decide what to have. Really glad we went in. The manager/owner Rohit was really friendly and gave us complimentary starters and desserts. Would definitely visit again!
UPDATE: Visited three times so far, and will definitely continue going!
G. M.The best Indian food I've had in Oxford and not expensive at all. Both the meat and vegetarian curries were sublime. Our host (the owner) was super friendly and hospitable - which made for a very pleasant dining experience! We also received delicious free starters while waiting for the mains. This place is absolutely amazing, the flavours were just absolutely on point I’ve got the fish curry and fried rice and the Parata bread! And well I honestly I’m so pleased I discover this amazing place the cocktails are superb the waitress and server are absolutely amazing and in between meals you are given a small gesture of gratitude and it’s so tasty I just love this place!
K. C.A unique modern Indian tribal themed restaurant. We had a great meal here, the food was delicious but be aware that everything is made fresh so it can take quite a while to come out.
There are a few good cocktails to enjoy while you wait for the food and nice chatty proprietor gave us a few tasty titbits while they prepared the dishes.
Z. K. W.Excellent, excellent, excellent! This has probably been my best meal in Oxford so far! Service from the staff was excellent. We felt so welcome and at home. The food was also great - all the dishes we ordered were delicious; you won't go wrong ordering anything. We also received, for free, a refreshing drink at the start and a dessert to end our meal.
We had such a wonderful time at Tribe, and we'll return for sure.
E. M.This one was of the best Indians I've ever been to! It was my sister's hen do and everyone who worked there made us, and especially my sister, feel special. They put hen do decorations on the table and were so attentive! On top of that the food was amazing and they catered for veggies and vegans that were with us. I would HIGHLY recommend!

They have a fantastic selection of food that ranges from Indian, English and Chinese food.
I went for the chicken lollipops and butter chicken with rice as a main.
Everything else was complimentary by the owner, who was very accommodating!
I cannot recommend this place enough and it's probably my new fave restaurant on Cowley Road! ❤️
