Amazing, tasty and honestly one of the best Indian/Nepalese meals eaten in a long time! Was greeted immediately as we entered the restaurant. Waiter was extremely polite & kind and had great recommendations as we were stuck on what to eat. Whole vibe of the restaurant was calm & the food was top notch, great authentic flavours and presentation was superb! The portions are perfect which will leave you stuffed and satisfied. Will be definitely visiting again & recommending to others! 😊

I have been to a number of South Asian restaurants in Plymouth and this is my favourite. Food is always top notch and staff are super friendly and helpful. Food has so much flavour and good portion size. Momos are a must try and their Lamb Nawab comes highly recommended too! Keep up the good work.

Nice tasty Nepalese food. The place was easy to find and easy to find a table. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We tried Momos, mutton and chicken dishes. All of them are very good. The portions of rice and herbal roti were very less for the price we pay. So place your order accordingly. I would rate it as a bit expensive dining experience.

Booked a table for 4 over the phone, staff member who took the call was polite and welcoming, easy process. Arrived and taken to the table with no pressure. Ordered food and bar a small mistake, food arrived and wow - taste, presentation, fresh and well cooked to our needs. Staff are great, explained about the food and even offered other dishes to taste. Hats off to this restaurant, lovely food, attentive staff, and did I mention the fresh quality of the food!!?. Ambience and decor are old school, and city centre prices, but the whole experience is well worth it. Portions are very ample, and if you can't finish, take home boxes are available, that's sensible and well thought out. All round excellence. Great for the local cineworld and Barbican.

Decor could be better but My first visit to Phuna was delightful! Staff were friendly and very helpful, accommodating our needs. Food was delicious. Portion sizes were just right. This isn't another generic curry house. Worth a visit.

Recommend the pickle tray with poppadoms - delicious flavours! Prawn Balti, Veg madras and the Naans - all excellent. Highly recommend a visit. I usually skip indian food as it can be too oily and spicy. Usually nepali kitchen are far better and this one too is superb - clean food which is good on taste too. The service is very nice. The ambience and decor is simple and welcoming. The restaurant is located close to harbour - so another plus.

I went here for the first time yesterday and was very impressed by the experience. The staff are great and the food delicious. I had the chilli fry and dal which were very tasty and the wonderfully creative chef even made a custom curry dish to the flavor profile I requested as well. Took our 2yr old twins out for their first curry. Pahuna did not dissapoint. Great food with attentive staff who interacted with the kids and brought appropriate cutlery and plates. We had such an amazing time dining at this restaurant! They serve authentic Indian and Nepalese food and they are delicious! Their chilli dry fry lamb is really tender and the fried aubergine is absolutely lovely. The chutney is heavenly too. Great service too! Will go again! Highly recommend

First time here and it won't be my last. Food was the best in Plymouth, I could taste the different spices and the ingredients tasted really fresh. I can only highly recommend this place!!! It opened up recently. Nepalese food is so lovely, so I was pleased to see a new restaurant representing this cuisine in Plymouth. The slow cooked off the bone lamb was melt-in-the-mouth, and the dry fried chicken dish was perfectly tender. Equally enjoyed the okra bhaji, garlic spinach, coconut rice and poppodums (the spiced tomato chutney that came with it was so flavoursome!!). We finished off with a sorbet. Overall, quiet, ambient restaurant, lovely service, great food and a 3-course meal for two with a bottle of wine for £73, excellent value. Just be prepared that portions are rather large. We both ended up taking 1/3 of our dinner home. Did enjoy it again the next day though!! I hope you enjoy your visit there as much as we did.

Went with 3 friends and very happy we found this gem. In a world of churned out classics, this place feels home spun and authentic. The chicken tikka tasted every bit as good as it's 2 day marinade warranted. Simple naan breads elevated, bhajees delicious..... Everyones food was exceptional and good noises eminated from us all as the food was devoured. All the dishes came beautifully presented and served by the loveliest staff. Genuinely..... This is a good one!

We went with friends on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately due to the Omicron rates lots of people had cancelled eating in. We had the restaurant practically to ourselves. Nice decor, friendly staff, and the food was very good. They had an unforeseen incident in their kitchen which held up the food a bit. I would definitely eat in here again. Only complaint is they brought out a wrong drink, but did offer to replace it with correct drink.

October 10th 2021 We had a delicious meal at this restaurant last night. Friendly, welcoming staff and a charming manager . We decided to try some of the Nepalese options on the menu as we had not had them before. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Sekwa Lamb dish. I tried the Nepalese Biryani which was fantastic too. We are only in Plymouth for one night or we would be back to try more. Highly recommend.

Lovely food! The Chicken Vindaloo was actually Vindaloo hot! So many curry houses tone down the spice, but not this one! You could tell the Chicken was fresh too, as it didn't have that chewy, rubber texture that frozen chicken gives you.
