Went here for lunch. Lovely staff and really nice food. The desert options were delicious, I really enjoyed the white chocolate mud pie. Will definitely go here again soon. Lots of easy parking.

Stunning setting, plenty of parking. Food was delicious, great value and selection. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs welcome. Toilet facilities. Service started off great, seated and attended to quickly. But after the food arrived we were almost forgotten.. We ordered our meals and children's meals that came with dessert.. After we had finished we waited around 15 minutes for the plates to be collected and dessert to arrive. we ended up flagging down a waiter who proceeded to bring the dessert with no cutlery. So had to again ask for that. The kids had to eat then with all the dirty plates on the table still and no room. Table wasn't cleared until we left. Sad end to what started as a lovely birthday meal for my mum.

Excellent lunch on a beautiful sunny autumn day. Accessible to my guests who are both disabled. Chairs and tables that actually move for those like me with rather a big stomach! Friendly service. Between us we had a bit of all aorts, All day breakfast, pork roast, and a burger and chips. My guests were American and praise from them re the food is praise indeed.

Stopped off for a trip down memory lane. Although it's not the same hut,it is close to where it used to be. We used to call into this cafe Once a month where the grownups had tea and cakes And the children had Knickerbocker glory As a Sunday treat back in the early 1960s, And they came in a glass that you couldn't just reach the top.. This time l had the moussaka, came hot And well presented,staff are helpful and friendly. There can be a wait for a table but worth it.

On Sunday 25th I stopped here in the garden with my granddaughter for a cup of earl grey and a milkshake and also ordered 3 chicken strips with bq sauce. After we drank our drinks the strips had still not arrived. So asked would they be much longer as we had been waiting 40 mins and we had to be elsewhere at 4. Unfortunately our ticket order and blown off side and they were unaware. But not only did they get them cooked right away and boxed up to go they actually refunded me for them as way of apolopgy. What a service and kind gesture. Thank you thank you. I will certainly be coming back for the amazing looking carvery and lovely lovely smiley staff

The Dartmoor Diner is situated on the main road between Yelverton and Plymouth, it offers views out across the Dartmoor national park from both the 1st and 2nd storey. We attend on a Sunday as we had heard from a few locals that the Sunday Carvery was excellent, the locals were not wrong! The carvery is priced at 11.25 pounds and gives you the option to choose 2 of the 3 meat options (Roast Turkey and stuffing, Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding, Roast Pork and Crackling). You then you select your own vegetables (Roast potato, Roast parsnip, Peas, Carrots, Cauliflower bake, mashed potato) as well as many condiments including Gravy, Cranberry sauce, Apple sauce, mustards varieties. The food was all fantastic but the pick for us was the Roast Turkey and Stuffing (sage and onion), Tthe turkey was very moist and the stuffing really light. Compliments go to all the staff wo were friendly and helpful, it was very easy to see why this was so popular with the locals. I highly recommend this to anyone passing through the area.

We couldn't believe how quiet it was for a Saturday afternoon but then when food arrived we had to send back 2 plates because of quality control ( undercooked and microwave burnt items) . The deserts were amazing as always so I think we'll return again for a coffee & cake but we wouldn't order hot food.

We went to this dinner for the first time yesterday, just on the outskirts of Plymouth at the beginning of Dartmoor. It was a good walk from the City. We had the vegetable pie with puff pastry. With Brock, parsnips, creamed potatoes. Followed by apple pie and custard. The service was great and the food very mouth watering and lots of it. We will be going there again..

Contrary to other reviews, our large Old English Sheepdog was allowed in. We were there at late lunchtime and there was room for him. Homemade mains and puddings were excellent. Will definitely go again.

Was busy when I went, okay customer service. The food was incredible though. I had the full English all day breakfast, it was seriously good, bacon was cooked to perfection also same with sausages beans were piping hot. Just all of it was lovely hearty food, would deffo recommend and go again.

Great service, usually fairly busy because the food is so good but can book a table but if you haven't booked staff will always do their best to accommodate you, booking not always needed but I would recommend it. My favourite is the chicken and ham pie, it is the best! Breakfasts are also good and pudding is always amazing too. Fantastic place, 5 stars for staff, food and price!

Great cafe in a great location. Everything is cooked fresh, to order so there is sometimes a wait for food. The cafe can get incredibly busy so you are not always guaranteed a seat. Breakfasts are very good and reasonably priced. Service is good. Top tip: the cream tea is fantastic!

I go here most Thursdays with my Mum for lunch and a catch up. The food is always excellent with friendly staff and very reasonable prices. I haven't tried all the menu however the meals I have had are clearly all freshly made without having to wait an eternity for your meal. We always pre-book a table as it is busy on a lunch time however you can just walk in. My food recommends are the Fish and Chips also the Gammon. They also have a beautiful selection of cakes on display which do look amazing but I haven't tried yet as I put on at least a pound looking at them!

Popped in for a late lunch on a Friday. Good quality food, large portion sizes and friendly staff. I think we were quite lucky to get a table as it was very busy - I'd driven past it a few times and the car park's always really busy, so l should have thought ahead. I'd recommend trying to reserve a table in advance if you want to eat on a particular day and time. There also seems to be a toy train track hanging from the ceiling, although it wasn't in action while I was there.

They have a wide and varied menu which is reasonably priced. On a Sunday there's a carvery from about 12 till 3 and if they have any left they will put a plated roast dinner on the specials board. We called in yesterday 14th July at around 4pm and they had a roast left either lamb or pork. I had pork and my partner had lamb. They both were absolutely delicious. 4 fresh veg a decent amount of meat,gravy that was divine and all served hot. We both agreed it was the best roast dinner we have had anywhere.

4/5 meals is a good meal. Occasionally food is not at its normal standard, I had something with peas here once and I couldn't eat them as they were so salty, whether the chefs salt shaker lid fell off, or something. But burgers are good, breakfasts are good. I'd recommend it!

Came here for lunch with the ladies. Booked a table in advance as we know how busy it can get and glad we did! Food was amazing, as always, and at a fab price. Slight wait but we did come at 1pm so the busiest time of day! Stayed for about 5 hours catching up with friends and at no point did we feel pressured to leave. Friendly staff were very attentive and kept checking if we needed any more food or drinks. I would recommend to anyone who would like good food at great prices and a nice friendly cosy this is the place...just try and book in advance to ensure a seat and thtt you aren't disappointed if they are busy when you arrive.

This was my first time going here. The best way I can describe the place was disorganised and not very relaxing. The selection of food was good and was looking forward to my food but was sadly disappointed at the quality of the ingredients and think the food is overpriced. Finally, although the staff were in no way rude, I thought they lacked the friendly welcome that is important to me when deciding if I will return.
