Honestly...just all round amazing. The food is delicious and packs huge flavour. The portion sizes are just enough to put you to sleep and the menu has good variety. the customer service is great and the atmosphere is very cosy. Would definitely recommend you come here and try the La Ruben sandwich.

I've no idea why this place was so quiet on a Saturday lunchtime, as the food was really good, maybe it was the fact that you couldn't really tell from the street whether the restaurant was open until you were inside. We both tried the breakfast poutine, with mine converted to a veggie sausage version (not on the menu, so it was good to see that the restaurant was willing to make adjustments for veggie customers). As you can see from the photos, these are substantial dishes, neither of us could finish our meals. Service was friendly and efficient, but I'm not a great fan of football on the TV in restaurants otherwise I might have awarded the Kicking Caribou five stars.

Went with a friend, lovely atmosphere & friendly staff. Although they did seem slightly understaffed on the day, but the staff that were on, were efficient as they could be. My poutine dish was nice. The cocktails had a good offer some options better than others, the whiskey one was delicious! We will be back I’m sure :) nice independent addition to Mutley!

Having spent time in Canada BC the poutine was fantastic and authentic. Truly amazing and all should try it. The cocktails were great the low and slow Joe were awesome and rustic. My only reservation is the lack of burger choices However that being said the ones available are cooked to perfection and presented well.

First time visiting here and will definitely be coming back. The food was incredible never had anything like it. The presentation was amazing. Happy hour deals are from 5 to 7 and is worth doing. I had 2 for 10 on cocktails which were lovely. The interiors are so cool here and definitely worth a visit. They also have TVs in there to watch sport which makes it a very fun atmosphere and is a great place for socialising.

Absolutely amazing!! The food was beyond expectations for plymouth, the meat was so tender and all round high quality food. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff were very friendly. We also met the cutest mascot Julie the polar bear dog 😊 definitely recommend and will be coming back for more!

WOW, what an experience. It’s a perfect setting for any occasion. Lovely for a sit down romantic evening by the fire or a fun night out with a group of friends. Food was absolutely excellent, all to a very high standard. The cocktails are also fantastic, really gave me childish sensation as they brought it out. Will go back again, my new favourite restaurant. Keep it up, you have a new loyal customer!

Lovely new addition to Mutley plain. Friendly staff and delicious food. Quiz on a Monday night is great too, good deal on Mac n Cheese with a Moose beer for £10 on quiz night -it was very tasty (would love some options of a few sides to go along with it on quiz night if possible please). A really great place, we're already regulars!!

Wow! Haven't had proper poutine since I last visited Canada, and this is right up there with the best. La Reuben poutine shows off the incredible Montreal smoked meat, and if you want to try a bit of everything, La Pile Complet is your best friend - maple fried chicken, Montreal smoked meat, and more. La Waffle is a surprisingly light take on chicken and waffles, with plenty of seriously good maple syrup. You won't want to miss the maple butter fries, either, and the mac and cheese is sublime. As for dessert? Don't choose. Get one of each of the beaver tail, butter tart and Nanaimo bar, and don't worry about your pancreas screaming - it's worth it. A definite do again.

Great atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff and incredible food and drinks! If you enjoy maple syrup (and great service) I can't recommend this place enough, and if you're a fan of foods that mix sweet and salty flavours I recommend getting the maple butter fries. Delicious. This place is also dog friendly and hosts quiz nights, but I recommend booking to guarantee a table.

Beautiful food! We were so exited to see something new opening in Plymouth! The food is phenomenal every time we’ve been in. Highly recommend the hash brown stack for breakfast, the cheese sauce is insane. And my favourite poutine is the La Delhi 🫶🏽 Absolutely nothing like this, very unique and cosy environment in the restaurant. 5* friendly service and just a bonus that we can bring our dog. Great changing facilities and high chairs for my son!

My first visit to this place and I can't recommend it highly enough! I had "La Pile Complet" burger. Quite possibly the best burger I have had the 9 hour smoked brisket was perfect. Accompanied with the butter maple fries, mac and cheese and maple wings and washed down with the moose larger. Everything was top quality and good service from the front of house, bar and hats off to the kitchen. Definitely will be back.

Fancy a sea food Mac n Cheese? This is the best in Plymouth that I've had to date, served fresh in a scolding hot skillet, easily serves 2, went along side my Le Steamé which is a generous sized hotdog garnished with a generous serving of caramelized onions, pickles and mustard. Same with the side of Poutine fries, enough to serve 2 people, fantastic quality and the skin on fries are great, especially considering they're crispy and fresh! In expensive, but you don't lose out on quality. Staff are incredibly helpful, can't wait to visit again.

I didn’t know what to expect with a Canadian restaurant, but the team at Kickin’ Caribou have made something special. The restaurant itself is incredible, wood finished and smells amazing. The food is delicious, I had La Reuben and my wife had La Donair and we loved it. Something I’ve never tried before but we were blown away, the gravy was INSANE, and so was the brisket. Chilled atmosphere, I total recommend it for a casual dining spot. I’d give them 6 stars if I could.

Le Donair was possibly one of the best vegan dishes I've ever tried. Tasty, spiced well, and priced well. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. Nothing to fault, would recommend!

Omg... the food. So glad to see some decent street food and restaurants finally making its way to Plymouth. If I could eat here every day, it wouldn't be enough. Staff are also so friendly and are so helpful if you don't know what to order next! Can't wait to come back

Absolutely stunning food, tastes as good as it looks 🤤 From the moment you walk in and are greeted with the most happy and helpful staff, to the lovely laid out menu with so much choice. The service is quick but not rushed and after we finished our meals our month old daughter needed feeding and they were more than happy to offer to warm the bottle but also were happy for us to stay and feed her. Will definitely being returning and tell everyone to get down there and try it out .

After deliveroo failed to bring my food and took it away with the. I called the restaurant and explained also that it was tea for my kids and that one of them had bed soon. Just delightful 🤩 my partner and I came with 2 of our friends to try Kickin Caribou after seeing their delicious instagram posts and I can confirm it is absolutely amazing 💖 and to top it all off the hospitality is first class. We will absolutely be back. Thank you all for such a lovely afternoon of Canadian delights! 👏🏼 (to note: we had the beaver tail and a Nanaimo bar and demolished them before remembering to take a photo) 10/10 would recommend!

Had the Le Surf Et Gazon and the beef was incredible, langoustines cooked perfectly, and the gravy was amazingly rich. Nanaimo bars were crazy good for desert, highly recommended. Great experience all round.

First time visit yesterday. Looked great inside and the atmosphere felt comfortable. The seats werent the most comfortable for your back and kept getting splinters from the wooden seats. Customer service could be improved and to make it clearer on how to order, maybe a little note on the menus might help. Few of the staff memebers behind the bar were lovely and smiling which is brilliant! Food came out quickly which was great and The food was tasty but the portions were not the greatest for the price you pay. The moosehead larger is also very nice!! The 1 accessible toilet needs improvement also as there was water leaking by the looks of it from the toilet and hardly any toilet paper and soap to wash your hands. There was also some sort of big glass unit in the way of being able to dry your hands. Toilet was not the cleanest. Overall, lovely food and place for just recently opening but improvements are needed. I might return in the future. Thank you :)

Myself & hubby decided to try this place out tonight and we were not disappointed.The food is mega tasty! The place itself is Rustic Warm & welcoming. Add to that An Awesome Front of House Manager who is on the ball & knows what is going on around her. Result... A recipe for success. We will definitely be regulars & wish them every success. Absolutely amazing food and service. Food was absolutely top notch, with absolutely huge portions and quality product. I had the Pile Complet, which gave a little bit of everything with the poutine, smoked meat and maple chicken, which I can highly recommend. My wife had the Rueben, and it was absolutely jampacked with filling. There was a difficult couple behind us moaning about something inconsequential and the staff handled it with far more respect than the couple deserved. The serving and bar staff were all happy, smiling individuals who made us feel incredibly welcome all night. Although it is service at the bar, someone came over with the chip and pin machine when they noticed our drinks were finished and offered us a fresh round without even asking. The only tiiiiiiny criticism I have is a lack of draught beer. The ale I had was lovely, but they could do with some proper Canadian guest ales and beers. Maybe a partnership with Bulletproof Brewing down the road would be in order? All in all, I loved it here, and will be back as soon as poss.

The waiter had cool trousers, canoe on roof, and class music; what more could you want? Oh yeah the food’s also class. Obviously anything with chips is going to be unhealthy but somehow it tastes like it’s not going to give you a heart attack… maybe I should order more next time. 5 stars no question. The customer service here is impeccable, everyone is so friendly and accommodating, (and the added bonus of the gorgeous dog who welcomes you). The food is packed full of flavour and is nothing like anything else available in the area. An incredible addition to Plymouth, would highly recommend and will be frequenting this venue. (Have tried the Poutine, Reuben sandwich, beaver tails and nanaimo bars and everything has been top tier quality).

What an incredible place! My first experience was fantastic & ive gone back 2 or 3 times more! The food is delicious with their Canadian influence & I love the idea, as you have nothing close to this in Plymouth, it's so niche. The staff are so welcoming & they are also Dog friendly. Affordable Value, Incredible Food, Warm & Welcoming Enviroment... I couldnt recommend this place enough.

We visited the Kickin’ Caribou on the night of their re-opening. I had seen their Instagram and was so excited to try it and have something new in Plymouth. The fried chicken was lovely and the staff were really welcoming. I also had the best lemonade ever! However, the bread on the La Reuben was really thin and tasted a bit cheap. I was excited to try the Montreal smoked meat, however it was a bit disappointing. I think making the slices a bit thicker if possible, would go a long way. The Instagram depicted a mouth watering meat, but what we received was not quite the same. We also had the scallops and curd basket. The scallops and batter had very little flavour and the cheese tasted a bit plasticky. Also, the La Classique poutine were also not what the Instagram depicted. I think investing in some thicker crispy chips would be great (I know poutine has gravy) but by the time they reached our table, they were soggy. I think the restaurant has so much potential, but needs some work.
