Ive only been twice however its a favourite of my partner and her family and I can see why. When the sun is out, eating good food outside with a beer makes you feel like your on holiday. Great food and the waitresses customer service and people skills are excellent

The food was amazing, even mini steak was as good if not better than some sirloin steaks I have eaten. Excellent size portions, well cooked meals and they were all hot, everythingwascookedfresh.. Zeus have a great selection on their grill menu but they also have 2 other menus that were very reasonably priced. The roast dinners looked delicious too. The staff were civil, polite and respectful. Both ladies that served had lovely smiles and looked like they enjoyed being in Zeus and dealing with customers. Plenty of seating Both inside and out where they have patio heaters for the brave diners. I definitely recommend Zeus for the premises, the ambience, the staff and most importantly the food. Definitely a place we hope to revisit in the future.

(Detailed review below) Food & Drink ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ambience ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Summary ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food & Drink 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good menu, although due to COVID-19, some items were not available - I won't mark them down for that. The food was very good, with one of our party ordering the small fillet steak and getting an absolute massive hunk of meat - it must have been close-dated or something and they needed to sell it, but she was very pleased with it. The beef stifado that I had was excellent and a decent-sized portion. Take a big appetite for this one! Ambience 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited on a Tuesday early evening and because of the COVID-19 "Eat Out to Help Out" offer of 50% off the bill Mon-Wed, it was fairly busy. However, the restaurant has been well laid out to cope with social distancing while maintaining a good ambience. Accessibility 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The entrance and seating area are wheelchair accessible and on the same level and the toilets are also on the same level, with it being advertised as "disabled friendly". Cost 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The cost of the food and drinks was in line with what I would expect to pay for a restaurant meal in Plymouth. The bill came to ~£160 for 4 people, but I think the drinks pushed that price up a bit, so all-in-all it was fair. Service 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service was perfectly good with friendly, knowledgeable staff. The waiter with the Northern Accent was humorous and enjoyed a bit of banter with us "oldies". Summary 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don't think I've been to Zeus before, yet it one of Plymouth's most established restaurants. It was a pleasurable meal and overall experience, and I will be going back.

Have always loved this place. Took my grandchildren on Sunday, which was Halloween. The staff were dressed for the occasion, which the kids loved. Food was excellent, as was the service from the staff.

Lovely Place! Recommend! Ordered humus and pita bread for starters which tasted so good! Humus like I never tasted before! I had a burger for main which came with veg sides and a generous portion of fries which I couldn't finish. Staff were friendly and attentive. The establishment has lovely decor throughout and the restaurant feels as if it's not in the right location.

Starters great, mains perfectly fine, Desserts abysmal! Overpriced even when included on set menu. 2 scoops mixed ice cream is extra £2 and it comes out of an 89p (guessing) Neapolitan tub. Cake seems store bought and microwaved, chewy and dreadful. Go for 2 courses, skip desserts.

Excellent food, though little confusing as one side of menu not available evenings though didnt see this highlighed on menu. I googled before I went and had already decided menu two would suit for two courses, then told not available so worked out more exspenive. Lovely staff and service. We all started to feel cold so the waitress asked for the fan above to be switched off, wasnt really required anyway on a freezing cold night. I had Garlic chicken which was lovely, and the chips were to die for.

Had a fabulous evening at Zeus this evening. Was recommended by son who lives in Plymouth whom we are visiting. From start to finish Gabriella made us feel very welcome. She was so friendly and efficient. Did not rush us one bit. It was a Monday evening and fairly quiet, which was perfect for us. We had the table for over 2 and 1/2 hrs. Fantastic well cooked food. I and my husband had the fillet steak and my son had the Mixed Grill which was huge. He had to ask for a doggy bag. That was his lunch sorted as well lol. The starter of humus and pitta bread was nice. The home made lemon cheesecake was Devine!!! Great customer service!! Will definitely use again next time we visit Plymouth. Highly Recommendable. This is honestly the best restaurant in Devon. No matter what day of the week or time the service is amazing. Nothing is to much for the staff and always makes sure that we have what we need to feel comfortable. Well the food what can I say... The best in Devon with the finest chefs that never let you leave hungry with large amounts of fresh chips and vegetables, the upmost best cuts of steak cooked to perfection. This is the only restaurant I recommend without thinking about.

Good place to eat. The children's menu doesn't have much choice but the food is nice. Lots of areas around to park your car especially since it's in the city centre. It's not very big so does get very busy. Service is always normally quick so your food is always pretty hot when it arrives. Dessert is good as well as the drinks. Staff are kind and polite. Pretty good restaurant!

Place is ok but very slow on getting food out. Took drink order and didnt take starters orders for at least another half hour. 12 of us in total arrived at 1920 and left at 2140. Halloumi fries starters took far to long.Mainly steaks so thought it would have been a lot quicker. On the up side our Waitress was good.

I really like eating at zeus. The food is always cooked beautifully. Exactly as ordered and plenty of it. The lovely tasting meals are very reasonably priced, especially the special 1,2 or 3 courses plus they are happy to mix & match to accommodate your choice of food if requested. The restaurant is not to posh but they did gave me nice respectful service.The staff didnt hover nor ignore me either.The only down side is that some of the tables are not in a very nice area. There is a particular 2 person table that has menus behind it on a ledge n if you sit there the staff have to constantly invade your space to get them.There are also tables near the back door which are subjected to a blast of cold air everytime that they are used, which was fairly often. So in winter time it's not a very nice area to be sat but in hot weather it would be lovely but I would still highly recommend a visit just be aware of where you sit.

Zeus is located at the bottom end of plymouth city centre opposite the panier market. I love this restaurant.. The prices are very reasonable. During the day it has the choice of Three set menus ..of starters main and deserts Three course meal from £9.95.. Until 5pm.. I've been coming to this restaurant for years never have been disappointed. Big choice of menu Steaks , fish, omelette, Currys, etc The deserts are to die for.. It has out door undercover seating with heaters in cold weather.. Very friendly staff excellent service. Large Bar..great choice of beer, wines , spirits..etc. Ideal for parties.. Open all year around every day even on Christmas day prices £65 set menu. Normal menu on Boxing day.. It has lovely interior.. Big Toilets Disabled entrance. Highly recommend this place..

The decor is very nice and tables spread evenly apart so youre not going to overhear any conversations. The menu was a decent size but the set menus were not that great. They charge £2.50 extra for half of the desserts of which were in all honesty disgusting. The banoffee pie was the worst one ive ever had. The main meals are okay but nothing especially great. For the sake of a few pounds more i would suggest Leandras around the corner.
