Had a fantastic meal at lunch time here. The food was very high quality and a good selection. A couple of occasions some items on the menu have been unavailable. The service today was absolutely fantastic, everything was timed to perfection, almost like we were being watched given the super timing when we wanted another drink or ready to order. Great experience today and a wonderful atmosphere. Recommended.

I haven't been in this restaurant or in a Zizzi's for 3 yrs probably. The format hasn't changed....just the prices. Not the most aesthetically pleasing Zizzi's thats for sure. It was busy and we were stuck in the middle of an aisle but the girls managed to move us. The atmosphere was good and the staff attentive, especially the boss lady who was excellent. The food was good but again the price for one dessert was extortionate at £7.95 because it just wasn't very big and not worth it. Hey ho....we enjoyed it.....and the Pinot Noir was excellent ....

Very accommodating and staff were friendly and prompt considering the restaurant was full and people were being told there was a 45 min wait for a table at 6.30pm on a Thursday evening. I went with my fiancée and we enjoyed it a lot. I would strongly recommend the garlic bread with blue cheese The best part was the costumer service, our waiter was really nice and made suggestions, it was lovely to be served by him (he is from Venezuela, sorry I do not remember the name) The food had very good quality and taste.

I'd honestly hate to see a "Your life wrapped" style statistic and see how many times I've ordered the exact same thing from this place. The meat Sofia though is the GOAT of pizzas.. Massive, fresh, tasty, cheesy with the most moist juiciest pieces of chicken going on it. The cheesy garlic bread is smothered in rosemary, which I didn't realise was a great thing until I got a proper taste for last night. I'd had always associated Rosemary with this one time I tricked a dislikable lass at a house party into smoking some under the guise of it being a joint LOLLL, but now I associate it with the delicious bread. The service is quick and easy, you can order, tip and pay through your phone in a few measly clicks and I've never had an issue with the browser itself. The establishment is CARD ONLY. Which is only an issue if you've been in a coma since the 1970's or just weird. The place itself is universal for occasions. In which you can go on date nights, mate dates, work parties or even just enjoying a calzone alone. Which does create a lively if not sometimes boisterous atmosphere.

Last minute meal at peak time Saturday evening, we were seated at one of the remaining 2 free tables. I ordered pasta as did my dining partner, we ordered a side of garlic bread and non alcoholic drinks Meal came out in good time, was piping hot and beautifully tasty - a rarity with pasta! We didnt get desserts as we already had plans elsewhere BUT the ones we did see being brought out looked amazing! We loved it so much that we BOOKED a table for Monday night, 8.30 - Very much less busy this time, but we had the same server, who was again excellent, and I didnt get his name! Dining partner had the Wild boar pasta and I had the pizza, because after clocking one the few nights before, I KNEW I had to! We had sides of potatoes and chips ( but these were more fries than chips ) and everything was absolutely delicious! My only small teeny issue was that the drinks we ordered were canned, and a small and standard at that, after being served lovely fresh drinks the first time, if I'd know they were canned, I probably wouldn't have ordered, but they were good nonetheless Food was excellent both times Cost was incredibly reasonable given the portion sizes Staff were brilliant, attentive and efficient - I will certainly be visiting this chain in other parts of the country. Lovely little place, great service. Took us in and sat us down when others were turning us away because it was a busy day (Turtle Bay were asking us to sit at the bar for 30 mins even though there were empty tables, we weren't impressed so moved on...) Staff were friendly and the food was lush. Prices were reasonable too. Glad we found it because we'll definitely be going again.

I was a walk in and dining solo. The staff found me a table on a very busy evening. I didn't have to wait long to order and my food and drink arrived quickly. I was also given a complimentary starter. Staff were very attentive and efficient. A lovely dining experience for me.

Never been in a Zizzi so we thought we'd try it. Well staff seemed very pleasant and courteous but the actual cleanliness impression was not so good. Our table had food remains and stain on it and one of our knifes was very dirty. They of course changed the knife and when they delivered our food. My wife and I had the six layer lasagne which I must say was delicious so this I'd why I've rated 4 stars instead of 2. Maybe we went in on a bad day lunchtime but if it's like that all the time would definitely not revisit.

Spacious restaurant in a large fancy complex. Toilets not the cleanest so they lost a star. But menu and food was pretty good. We ate the Lasagne and it was tasty, finishing off with a Passion Fruit cheesecake - would have been good see a slightly larger portion. Tesco reward vouchers made it all the better for us.

Went in for a meal with family and friends and the service was nothing short of excellent. The person serving us, Ryan, was a legend. One of us has food allergys and placed quite a picky order... Ryan has the patience of a Saint... He made sure we all got what we wanted and was bloody friendly too. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Ill defo be going back.

Have been to zizzi before in other locations & this one is possibly my most enjoyable experience in this chain of restaurants. Staff were great even on a very busy Friday night. We had reserved a table which I would advise. We had a selection of starters which were delicious especially the cheese fondant. Great main courses calzone pizza & harrisa chicken pasta & pesto pasta dishes. Drinks were the only thing that we weren't pleased with . Wine wasn't good & cocktails weren't very strong as in we couldn't taste alcohol at all! Would defo return.

Waitresses all seemed preoccupied and not able to give the best service during our meal and the short gobby female with glasses who looked like supervisor had terrible cs skills, clearing ppls plates before they finished or giving the wrong food to the wrong table then blaming everyone else but herself. The food was reasonable but not a patch on Prezzo. The lasagne was ok but for the £3 extra I'm not sure there was much difference between the extra sauce etc over normal portion. Just didn't have the quality of service we get at other Italian restaurants.

Absolutely delicious food and excellent service from Zizzi Plymouth. Our takeaway order was all for new dishes to try - goat's cheese arancini, chicken and mushroom rustica pizza and vegan All-the-Greens risotto. Ordered for collection type "as soon as possible" i e within half-hour. Everything was ready on the dot, very pleasant staff handed the order over, all food packed into a large paper bag with a design so pretty it seemed almost an overkill for a takeaway carry bag. The food turned out to be gorgeous. The arancini sauce was out of this world. I want to know what they put in it to make it so delicious! Pizza - lovely light tasty dough, grilled chicken fillet strips, cooked perfectly. The risotto was the main stunner though, packed with flavours, with spinach, leeks, green peas and - I think -cress? Perfectly seasoned and utterly delicious. The whole meal was an absolute delight. Thank you chefs and dining room staff, we loved the dinner, will happily order again and can totally recommend it!

Really nice decore and friendly staff normally very lively and the food is gorgeous and I challenge you to find a more salavating🤤 6 layer lasagna version they do there must be the best in Plymouth for sure.😉 And you just park underneath in the barcode building it's self and there are lifts for wheel chair access.

A wonderful and calm experience, by fiancé and I have been here twice now and can’t wait to come again. All the staff are brilliant, and the cocktails are seriously next level. Would recommend for a casual bite, or for a date night. Only thing I would say that’s even slightly negative is that they don’t have beer on draught. But that’s a me problem. This Zizzi needs work, especially considering its 'relatively' new. The biggest issue was that service was so slow. It took ages for staff to take our food order and around 30-40 minutes for food to arrive. Then there were small touches that were missing. For example cutlery wasn't provided until asked and water wasn't brought with our meal as requested. The coffee machine went off half way in the evening too meaning we couldn't have any as a desert.

Bigger than it looks from the outside. Pizzas cooked in a proper pizza oven and, like the rest of the kitchen, all in view of the customers. Staff were attentive. One of our starters wasn't hot when it arrived but was eaten, when mentioned to the waitress it was taken off the bill no quibble. Nice atmosphere.

Lovely quality food and gorgeous atmosphere. Unfortunately not much on the menu was available due to shortages but not their fault, they were very apologetic. Starter was wrong and my partner finished his starter before I got mine. There was no time between me finishing my starter to having my main course which made the evening feel a bit rushed. I think we came at a bad time but will definitely give this place another go in the future (hopefully when the stuff we wanted will be available).

No need to book a table here, with plenty seats available due to the size of the restaurant, which unfortunately did also mean it was rather loud. It was OK. The restaurant was very new and airy and had the usual Zizzi decor but lacked its cosiness. The waitress was polite and friendly but forgot to tell us what was not on the menu and once we came to make our choices we were suddenly let down by their unavailability and then the re-choosing had to be be done over again. The complimentary pasta crisps were a nice touch. The pizzas were tasty and worthy of their price but we did find cutlery and pizza slicer to be dirty. The dessert menu appears to be amazing but are significantly overpriced for what you get even though the hospitality trade is struggling its just too expensive. 3 thimble full of delicious ice cream for £5 and a glittery laced choux bun for nearly £7 is astronomical. Still it was a treat but a disappointing extravagance. Zizzi seem to going all out to be more fanciful than ever and have lost their touch at good quality reasonably priced food and service.

Upon entering the Plymouth Restaurant chain, things were quite promising. The staff were nice and very attentive and the decor of the place was pretty unique too. Our waiter was very professional and the service was pretty quick. A lot of the menu was unavailable but we thought we could live with that as we'd been looking forward to Dinner for quite some time. Starters were pretty good, though there were no caramelised onions available with the garlic bread................how hard is to make caramelised onions...........but that's ok, the mozzarella helped and it was quite enjoyable. As for the "mains".......it was just 3 servings of bland. Both pizza's tasted of nothing and the Spaghetti chorizo carbonara was just as bad. Thank goodness for black pepper. As for the deserts,.............why would anybody put stale popcorn on a desert when it's not even on the menu description. Overall a very disappointing evening and I wouldn't recommend visiting this place at all. Front of house were great, but that's it.

Our table was booked for 8pm on Saturday night. We didnt have to wait and were shown straight to our table. A very nice waiter came to take our order. One of our party asked for Lasagne but was told it had sold out. Another asked for the only non pasta or pizza dish on the menu, chicken thighs which was also sold out. We then ordered 2 calzone which was available but does not come with any accompaniments so requested chips and salad but they had both sold out. The waiter was very apologetic and was as helpful as he could be but we were very disappointed. This wasnt late in the evening and we were very surprised that such obviously every day dishes would be sold out.

Anyway the food absolutely bloody lovely the atmosphere was amazing and the staff superb, So not really eaten Italian food like that the waiting staff explained the menu and appropriate choices of wine to enjoy with our meal,, And when we left I was fat, full, and fairly tipsy, but next time in Plymouth will be booking again as I really enjoyed that meal.

Went on valentines day and the restaurant was packed, however this didnt lower the quality of the food or the speed of the service. In addition our waitress was really nice and never left us waiting too long. No complaints here. We sat by the open kitchen so could see the chefs working very hard, it was really impressive. Special mention goes to the bloke in the glasses who was making pizzas on turbo all night and was generally bossing the kitchen. Really looked like he passionate about his job, it was nice to see. 5/5 would recommend,

The food was excellent. However, the service was terrible! Apart from arriving at the restaurant not once were we asked if we needed any more drinks when clearly both mine and my partner's drinks were empty when our main meal arrived. Once we had eaten our main meal it took 30 minutes to be asked if we would like dessert! Once we had finished our dessert and asked for the bill nobody came for roughly 15 minutes so I decided to attend the front of the restaurant to pay the bill! It's a shame because the food was so good.

What a fantastic Italian Restaurant! Our son has a dairy intolerance so we used the allergy menu, something we have never seen before in a restaurant. Kat the waitress was amazing, especially with our little boy. Great menu, great staff, decent price. What more could we ask for!

I decided to take my girlfriend to our local Zizzi’s last night for our first real meal out. Neither myself or my girlfriend have been to Zizzi’s before however hearing about the fantastic quality and affordability, we both had high expectations. These expectations were met and exceeded with the combination of exceptional food which neither came too early or too late and was delivered to us by kind and helpful staff (many thanks to Gian who made sure we had everything we needed and gave us his very good recommendations). Thank you Zizzi’s Plymouth for a fabulous evening and we will definitely be back soon!!! Highly recommend

Delicious fondu and lemon cheesecake sundae. Spaghetti meh. Pizzas looked good. Plenty of seating but you would need to book on a Friday and Sat night. Lovely atmosphere. Staff work very hard.You can even see them cooking. Street level entrance and disabled toilet is accessible.

Very good. Clean and tidy and the staff were attentive enough but not overbearing. The kids had a lovely dinner, my wife enjoyed her food. I had the vegan spaghetti pomodoro but with wholewheat pasta. The chef intially put mozzarella on it but this was corrected before the dish left the kitchen and the waiter came to apologise for the delay. This was great. However, the dish then arrived with no cheese at all (not even the vegan alternative that they have) and it was basically just pasta with a boring, bland tomato sauce. It felt very much like a vegan alternative with stuff missing and not an original vegan recipe (I ordered it off the vegan menu). I wouldn't recommend this dish, have something else. When the waiter arrived to ask if it was okay, I smiled and said it was great and then complained to my wife, because I'm a typical Brit.

My wife and I popped into Zizzi as the menu is very vast. The host sat us right away and our order was taken quickly. Loved the Americano and Latte glasses and the Crunchie? was a wonderful addition We forgot that we were booked in to see a movie in 40 minutes and panicked a bit but no problem as the staff really jumped to please us and get us out to see Joker just in time. We thouroughly enjoyed our food and by the looks of all the happy faces around us so did everyone else. There were some fantastic looking plates being served. The desserts looked nice too. Planned a rare meal out with my girlfriend and, thanks to boris, decided on zizzi. Despite running slightly late, the staff were very accommodating and polite. Social distancing was adhered to and food service was extremely quick (we did book for a quiet period). As for the food itself, it was stunning. Huge portions and great quality. We did not have desserts, but the garlic bread and fonduta starter are enough in themselves! Thoroughly recommend the calzones. Drinks were high quality and therefore quite highly priced, but we had an amazing time.

Oh my, the pizza was amazing! I had been living in Italy for a while before coming to Plymouth, and I must say the pizza did not disappoint me at all! The only thing I would definitely improve is their tap water, which unfortunately was horrendous.

I chose Zizzi for a birthday celebration dinner for my husband. He loves garlic bread and pizza, so an Italian restaurant is always a good choice to take him to. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. For starters we had the garlic bread and the mushroom brindisi. For mains we chose the spicy meaty pizza and the duck gnocchi. My word, the duck was falling apart soft, very well cooked! I took my time to choose, but made a very good choice! The golden millionaire's slice was a real sin to have. Thick gooey chocolate ganache. Yum. There were three disappointing moments, the cutlery could've been cleaner, there was no tiramisu (in an Italian restaurant!!??) And the dessert was showered with honeycomb (I don't like it and it's not in the description, but it was changed instantly, without quibble). But, service was pretty excellent, and we'd happily return to sample other dishes, so for the flavour of what we had and the great service by Gian, we still gave the restaurant 5*.

It was long time now I was missing from Zizzi, cold athmosphere unfortunately, still thinking about the one jn Milton Keynes by the theatre the best one ever for me. Pizza: meh! Expensive drinks! Almost 3pound for a 275ml coke? Beer is cheaper compared. Stoned baked oven that could be way better used if pizza dough wasn't defrosted product. Good service, fast and smiley. At least. Its a good fast stop after or before a movie. It's worth a try.
