Reviews of Bistrot Pierre

Lovely experience, the conversion from church to restaurant is a lovely sight, you can enjoy the church windows as you dine.
Food was out in good time, very tidy and fresh feeling.
The food tasted clean and full of flavour with nice portions.
Honestly I'd recommend this place for a lovely brunch date on a sunny day.
S. P.
We had a lovely lunch. We opted for the special 2 courses for under £15.
We had booked a table and a lovely table had been reserved for us, very comfortable.
We wasn't in a rush but the only negative was the service appeared slow.4
V. B.
Amazing venue. Stunning decor & renovation of the original church. Beautiful interior. Foods great, service fantastic and so accommodating. We held a baby shower here for 25 people. The catering and assistant service (esp Caitlyn was exemplary, above & beyond.
Fantastic calm and well prepared service from assistant manager Liz whose inter personal skills, as well as organisational delivery was personal and utterly perfect.
Fab for a party /baby shower/event. Discreet and private upper floor for functions although there are stairs to climb.
Food was yummy too. Attentive for drinks and service.
Will definitely visit Bistrot Piérre again for Food and drinks I highly recommend this gorgeous venue for parties/events etc....

We came here in June to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we were looking forward to it for such a long time as we were waiting for one particular Soiree Gastronomique. These are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month and involves a 5-course set menu.
The food was lovely and got off to a great start but after the starter the wait times became longer and longer between courses which was disappointing. I can appreciate these nights must be quite popular so as long as you are prepared to wait (upto an hour) for a course then when the food does arrive, you'll find it is honestly some of the most delicious food.
The Preston venue is set in a lovely church and has been decorated beautifully. Great place for a special occasion.
T. R. P. (.
The food were good but not the best, price are alittle high for what you pay for but none the least the venu are lovely and has charactor as it is an old converted church.
we have only been for the breakfast, overall expericance were good with very helpful staffs. worth visting .

Food was really nice and location was great however; atmosphere inside was not great and one member of staff could do with smiling a little when greeting customers at the door (blonde lady) - overall it was an OK experience but would not rush back

I promised to leave a review. We came on the 4th September 2021 and I have to say the atmosphere was spot on. The new staff they have no worked their socks off! We never went without anything. Always had drinks on the table and service was 10/10. The only problem was we couldn’t stop late because we had the train to catch. We stayed later than we normally do and caught the last train back to Blackburn. They couldn’t do enough to help! I didn’t get the girls names but I mentioned it to the manager and he said he would pass comments on. Thanks for a great night. Will be back soon! From the tanned, tall lass with tattoos and the sparkly dress!

Honestly have say this place is just amazing inside.!!

Not badly priced, food is great and staff are friendly and professional. On top of that you have the lovely setting of the building.

Date of Visit: 22/04/22
Order: Fritot de brie + Croque monsieur
Portion Downsizing:-
The starter of deep fried brie was described as having a caloric count of 485. For reasons viewed in the picture, I am of the belief that the majority of the calories from that description are attributable to the quantity of plum chutney that I received.
I have eaten at this exact location Bistrot Pierre restaurant before, and the portion size of the brie starter appears to have been downsized massively while the price has remained the same. The inconsistency in portion size had been enough of a surprise for me to take a photograph, while me and my partner were both of the same opinion that it was ridiculous compared to our previous visit.
Disorganised Bar Staff:-
Furthermore, part-way through our meal we requested additional drinks from the server that had asked us whether we needed anything else. Our drinks were selections from the flavoured tonics and so after five minutes passed we were confused as to what was taking so long. A waitress ended up going behind the bar to grab our bottles, open them and bring them over to us, as it seemed the barman was busy cleaning.
Congregating Staff:-
Afterwards, it appeared staff members had come in to start their shift. Though the restaurant was not particularly busy, having six members of staff congregate to talk behind our table, at the top of the stairs was not exactly 'atmosphere', so much so that the barman did request that they stop congregating as it 'looks bad'.
Ultimately, the portion sizes have been decreased a significant amount, staff appeared disorganised during a non-busy period and the atmosphere was not as anticipated.

First time visiting here. My son treated me to tea out. Lovely inside. Great atmosphere. Live piano music. Fantastic service, very friendly. Got to say the food is brilliant. My new favourite place. Highly recommended.
A. P.
Absolutely brilliant, stunning location, great menu choices, perfect spot for lunch or dinner.

The food here is delicious. We were in Preston from out of town for a few days and came back to Bistrot Pierre twice, we liked it so much. The first night we shared a variety of starters and thoroughly enjoyed all of them.
The next night we both got the Beef Bourguignon and it was lovely! Filled with flavor, the meat was incredibly tender, and the vegetables were cooked just right, nothing mushy here.
The servers were really nice, a few of them even remembered us.
I will definitely be coming back.

Came here for dinner as a solo traveller. Was immediately welcomed and sat at a booth. The waitress was lovely. I ordered from the set menu; baked camembert, honey mustard pork medallions and sticky toffee pudding and it was all delicious. My bill for the three courses and a diet coke came to about £21 and I felt that was well worth it.
Would definitely recommend! Each member of the team I encountered was friendly and the service was quick. Thanks!
M. C.
Excelent food with great drinks and good attention. The place is really nice
T. B.
Just came to use the bar, stunning interior. I must have a meal next time.
J. A.
A lovely building lovely staff and a very enjoyable meal. Staff were just the right amount of attentive without being annoying and were knowledgeable about dishes on offer. Very relaxed surroundings.
Looking forward to our next visit x

This is right in the centre of Preston city centre, the restaurant itself is spacious, very comfortable, modern styling and exceptionally clean, even the toilets were nice, it has a good ambience great place to spend the full evening. The food was excellent and staff were friendly and made the night a good experience. Well worth a visit and the prices are good too.
A. B.
First visit to this eatery. Great location, surrounded by shops, ideal stop off whether for lunch or evening meal. Good offers of 2-course and 3-course meal between 12pm-6pm. Lovely, friendly staff. Food is delicious. Will definitely be returning 😁👍

Very nice place & friendly staff. Just had drinks on our visit but the food that was being served looked excellent. We will be returning at some point.

Went to the Bistrot tonight, a Saturday night. First time for me so was very impressed with the beautiful building. Tonight they had a piano player which was very nice. The good: the burger was excellent and the beef was apparently quite nice. The not so good: the Duck was really tough, almost unedible and needed a steak knife to cut it, and the drinks service was very slow. Our main course drinks didn't turn up so I had to go and get them myself, but to be fair they agreed to give them to us free, but then still got them wrong. Otherwise the food service was good. When asked if everything was OK we mentioned the Duck was tough, but they didn't feel the need to take this any further.
So overall a bit dissappointing, bar the burger which was good. Went elsewhere for our desserts. Hence 3/5.
Post edit : We have since been contacted by the manager, Paul, as a result of this thread, who has taken on board the feedback, and resolve the issues and offered us a free main to restore our faith in the brand. Fair play. Thanks. We will try again.
S. O.
Nice setting for a restaurant. The 3 courses for £22 is a bargain and worth it early in the week. I didn't have steak but my companion eaters did and they looked good. House lager isn't anything to rave about but did its job.
K. W.
The food and drinks were great but the staff was absolutely unfriendly. It was almost empty inside and they told us they don't have enough staff and almost forced us to leave. We booked empty slot online and came back after half hour anyway and they were sitting by the bar annoyed that we came back . They didn't serve us bread to the soup and we had to go get them to order another drink as noone even cared. The bread arrived after we finished food ! Do not recommend the atmosphere but the food was really nice.
G. F.
Went for our wedding breakfast after a quiet ceremony. Food was great. Service was good enough. The venue itself is a lovely converted church and really well done.
O. C.
Staff are always so friendly and helpful. Good choice of drinks and food but I always find there's a lot out of stock/ unavailable. Still one of my favourite restaurants though!
Z. B.
Excellent service, fantastic food. Highly recommended

Five lovely ladies dined here for a 6 course special.
Lovely food, lovely surroundings

Excellent service. Great atmosphere.

We came in for a drink, then was seated in a booth and got given menu's. The food sounded nice and we came on a sunday, so, it was 3 courses for £23. We both got the French onion soup that was delicious with a cheese crusted brrad slice in the middle and 2 pieces of French bread and butter on the side. Then I got the steak with fries, which I do recommend you have rare because it's a minute steak which literally means minute either side. But it was so juicy and so tasty of the grill it was cooked on, because if you don't there's not enough sauce in the pot to spread it around. That is my only criticism, those who love pepper sauce order 3. The salmon is fresh and fishy if you like fresh fish, I don't, but my partner said it was cooked to perfection. I did try some and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. We ordered an extra portion of buttered broccoli and dauphinoise potatoes which tasted amazing, but it felt like they were pre made and put in the oven as they went a bit cold in the middle and hot on the outside. But because my steak was rare I don't think they preped for that. Then we got pudding, omg, I totally recommend pudding. I got the tarte au citron with raspberry coulis and cream and my partner got sticky toffee pudding with icecream. Again I didn't try his because I don't like it but he said it was delicious and mine was melt in your mouth. The crust wasn't too hard and the middle was just citrus enough and stable enough it came away with the fork, and there was just enough cream. The waiter said the chef was heavy handed with the cream but I don't think he did, I think there was just enough. Thank you the service was excellent too. They gave us a break between each course, which I find amazing, I don't want to be rushed. Each course they waited until we were ready, even sain wave when your ready, which is amazing.
Beautiful place and brilliant food.
N. B.
Fantastic spot to eat. Staff were friendly, food was delicious, the music gave a nice atmosphere, social distancing safety measures all put in place and adhered to...can’t really ask for anything more!
C. N.
Nice staff, 3 courses for approx 16 pound which was good. Starters and deserts were better than the mains. Would certainly return if in the area.
C. B.
Great food and relaxed atmosphere. Staff very friendly and warm
K. I.
Clean, stylish, relaxed atmosphere, tasty cuisine and good service.
Absolutely, I’d visit again.
Though, I would’ve appreciated a slightly larger portion.
S. T.
Outstanding food, good portion size, excellent service. Really enjoyed thank you to the manager Paul and his staff
J. W.
Great food and service, decoration and atmosphere. Will highly recommend it 👍👍👍
C. K.
Sad to give a 3 star review but the food isn't up to scratch, the atmosphere was great and service was good (clearly run off their feet, had to ask 3 times for water), when you are paying those prices you expect a good quality meal and I'll be honest I could have made a better risotto at home, it was tasteless. Husbands steak was awful and he couldn't eat it. We tried the restaurant when it first opened and gave it the benefit of the doubt but after last night don't think we will be returning, shame.
J. C.
Delicious food here. We had chicken in a creamy truffle sauce and salmon with veg and sweet potato fries. Little slow on service but well worth the wait
J. W.
Really nicely designed and presented in an old church building. It also has a mezzanine.staff were really friendly and helpful. Food wasn't bad at all for the money (3 courses for £18) and there were plenty of cocktails and drinks to choose from. I'd go back.
A. P.
Been there for a snack with my friends.
We had a great time. There's a very nice atmosphere and the place looked amazing. My friend says that was the best meal she ever had.
I liked my arancini very much.
Staff very friendly and it seemed like the bartender knew what he I was doing.
Definitely my favourite place in Preston and even if it'd be just for a drink that'll be my first choice. 😁

Went for our anniversary, did the right thing as the ambience was fab. Dish was alright, dessert were worth the price. :)
C. G.
This is a comfortable place for a civilised lunch. The decor is interesting and has quite a few aspects of the old church building incorporated into the design. There are booths for a more intimate meals and large longer tables for bigger groups. The service was friendly and relaxed although some of the staff seemed a little inexperienced. The food was tasty and the menu was varied, mid priced. Not the sort of place you would go to if you were looking for a cheap meal. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
N. M.
Amazing place, so beautiful! The food is of great quality and the service and atmosphere is excellent. Very fancy and quirky place to eat.
T. C.
Recently become one of my favourite pubs, food is awesome and they're always welcoming even when I'm massively underdressed from a day at work!
Magic :)
J. M.
Gorgeous meals and the bar staff were kind enough to make me a cocktail not on the menu. Lovely welcome and atmosphere
K. S.
Very nice excellent service just what you want for a family meal out recommend
s. h.
Fantastic..food was be excellent and the service was brilliant!
D. O.
Very nice restaurant with great food, the sea bass was good. Its reasonably priced, under £20 for 3 courses. The place is inside a old town centre church and has a really good vibe, with background music, and is decorated beautifully. I would certainly recommend coming here.
K. K.
Great place and yummy food.
Great lunch time and early evening week day offers.
Staff are friendly and cocktails are seriously good.

Overall a good restaurant. Beef main course was very tasty but mushroom with sourdough starter was a bit disappointing. Nice atmosphere

Came for food and drinks with a friend it’s so nice inside and really cool relaxed vibe, the staff where really polite especially Ellie,
Will definitely be back.

Again we spent great time in your restaurant 😍😍 i want to get back there now 😅 food was delicious like always same staff ❤ The best restaurant 😍
M. H.
Great food. We went on a Saturday lunch time, the menu was somewhat limited for the 3 course menu. It was very busy and the service was pretty slow and not overly friendly - perhaps because they were too stretched.
The atmosphere was good
C. B.
We went there for a birthday party, it was great! We had a brilliant waiter and the food was absolutely gorgeous.
C. B.
It was a great place. Set in a lovely old church, the food was good. I had the burger, it was delicious!

This was excellent all around! The food was great and the service impeccable.

Went to a lovely baby shower here, I've never been before. Beautiful building/restaurant, warm friendly staff and lovely food.

A nice ambience, tasty food and friendly staff. We enjoyed our first visit to Bistrot Pierre. Thank you
H. T.
Absolutely beautiful as always great service great prices
F. D.
Tried the much publicised high tea. It was horrible. All shop bought scones, macaroons etc.. the Eton Mess was just that and tasted off, the baguettes were uninspiring and uncluttered. And it took almost 2 hours with the excuse that everything was freshly made. No, it wasn't
The gin cocktails were nice, the mini bar plates were a lot nicer. Shame, lovely decor and staff are nice but it seems soulless and chaotic....
D. M.
Fantastic food and staff so friendly ..cant wait to go again
S. M. B.
Amazing Place, the food was delicious. The incredible Stuff going up and down in the stairs are really incredible..
C. P.
The meal was excellent. The building is a stunning setting and we were treated well all evening by friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious, as was the house wine. Very reasonably priced for what you get. We will definitely be returning.
D. O.
I'm giving this 5 stars for the manager! My meal wasn't great, but the rest of our party of 8 loved it! When I complained the manager came and spoke to me at length, very calm, very understanding and above all very concerned that his team had not delivered the experience they strive for!!
Will go back again, but credit where its due, all the front of house staff were brilliant!!! Thank you!
M. H.
Went to Bistro Pierre Sunday Evening 3rd April to celebrate completing our Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on Saturday !. Food was really nice , the decor and setting is superb. Our experience was made complete by all the very friendly staff and manager, will definitely visit again.

Beautiful location a little unusual for me to have a drink in a former Baptist Church. We did however enjoy our early afternoon Blackberry Gin. We have come across lovely and helpful staff. Table booking recommended
G. C.
Lovely atmosphere and nice food..small portions though..
E. M.
Excellent food, very reasonable prices, quick service and friendly staff

Pleasant surprise. Really enjoyable quick visit as I had time to spare before meeting on Saturday. Had steak frites which was well cooked and nicely presented. Unfortunately as I had a meeting was not able to try any wines from what looks like a great collection. Will be back for an evening meal and some wine!
S. C.
Came here for a 3 course meal, amazing food and reasonable prices. Recommend.

First of all, let me say what a lovely and charming venue they have made out of this old unused church. A bistrot for all seasons with its (limited) outdoor seating for those warmer days and nights, and nice & cosy & inviting on the cold November night I visited last week.
Now although I am going to take away a star for the staff, please don't think I am suggesting they were awful or rude - in fact they were for the most part all very charming. But my friend and I, who eat out on average probably 5 or 6 nights a week between us, discussed this at length (whilst waiting for the bill!). As friendly as they all were, we got the distinct impression most of these young waitresses hadn't worked in a restaurant before. Four different waitresses all came and asked us for drinks orders within the space of three minutes - and we simply weren't ready to order at that point. And I've worked in restaurants before, it's not like the place was full, but maybe they were told to rush us all along as much as possible, I don't know?! They were all also fairly shy and timid and I felt the place could have done with a real character or two to make that lasting impression, instead it feels like they have gone for the youngest, cheapest & quickest options to staff it. I know this sounds harsh, but this model works fine for a McDonald's, not so much for a restaurant like this.
When we finally did order the bottle of wine and some tap water, ironically then it did take longer than we expected....and plonked on the table without a mere "enjoy" or offer of opening it or anything. And no sign of the water. We had to ask for this a further two times off two different waitresses.
Ok, the food. Both our mains were lovely, cooked as promised, to perfection!!! Very tasty.
We didn't have starters but wish we had. Instead we both chose to try out the Crème Brulee, when in Rome and all that. Yes yes, I know it was a French venue, forget it 😊
The dessert was advertised as being made fresh daily, so I was excited to try it. In reality though, it was simply the top sweet crackling made fresh. And how do I know this? Because after my second mouthful I realised there was an awful aftertaste. Bear in mind I had devoured red wine and peppercorn sauce earlier. The Crème had most probably gone off, luckily I had my friends to try and compare, hers was fine, and as lovely as I was hoping it to be.. At this point I would have expected the staff member, who was the host at the door and probably one of the managers, to be a bit more apologetic, when in fact it was at first made out that they were all made from one batch so this couldn't be the case. Granted, she did come back and confirm there were in fact two batches and made a half-hearted apology, and did remove the item from my bill. She did also offer another dessert but didn't at that point confirm the removal from the bill and my friend had finished her dessert. You can see my point here hopefully?
It was just a sour point in the night (excuse the pun), and if she had made a bit more of a fuss I would have excused the rotten dessert and given them another chance and a better rating. However, I am now wondering whether to return or not. I've given 3 stars in the hope that a fair few of you do try the place, even after this review. And hopefully have a better experience all round. It's a shame for me because this could quite easily have been my new favourite restaurant. It's in the area I live. And this is why, working in customer service myself, I always try and take pride in every customer I serve and make a lasting impression, for the better.
s.
Really amazing service, great food. It has a comfy and cosy restaurant atmosphere full of warmth and light. The architecture has been retained from the old church building which it inhabits now to a classy restaurant. I went here for my birthday and 10/10 recommend.
J. G.
Sat night live music was excellent. Good atmosphere good food and good service.
G. H.
Only. Worth a three for afternoon tea only one cup of coffee and the sandwich was on french bread. Put your he price up and do the extras it would be more worth it.

Went last night for my 2 courses for £10 offer. I had the Steak & Frites (v good and tasty) and Creme Brulee (which is to die for!) Nice ambience and service was good. I also had a nice pint of Moorhouses Blonde Witch @ £3.75 .You might have to wait a bit for a table but highly recommended and probably one of the best restaurants in the expanding Preston eatery market
R. T. (.
We organised a foster shower here on the upper balcony for 16 guests and the service and food we were given was fantastic. Friendly attentive staff and timely food service and bubbly refills. Would definitely recommend for get togethers and larger groups!

If you haven't eaten here yet, then why??!?!!?
Without doubt I'm coming back, 3 course lunch menu for £14.95, including the best rump steak I've ever had in my life, absolutely gorgeous and that is no exaggeration.
Great staff, especially Shannon, she looked after us from start to finish and it was her first day aswell. Every credit.
Classy decor and nicely furnished. Very busy lunch service but handled impeccably and without issue.
A MUST TRY!!!

Sadly we did not have the best experience this afternoon…..We have visited Preston Bistro Pierre on numerous occasions for both meals and drinks; and usually we have been happy with the service we received….Unfortunately on this occasion we were not as impressed with our service……..We booked our table for 15.00 and arrived at 14.50 to check in……..Unfortunately they didn’t seem to have our booking…..it was 20 mins before we received any service; and this was after we summoned staff over……I might note at this time the restaurant wasn’t overly busy….The manager seemed otherwise occupied with a table of three who had complained about the food…..to the point that the child from the table was running freely round the restaurant…at one point my husband approached the table to inform them that there child had gone out of the front door….Not a very relaxing experience…..We did express to the manager that we were not 100% happy with the experience….It seems that there were new members of staff on this particular day…..Whilst we are appreciative that it can be difficult during current times, and the fact there are new staff….we do feel it is up to the manager to be aware and monitor this; and ensure that all staff employed are mentored to ensure that customers are offered the best possible experience. …
J. C.
Servers were excellent, engaging and friendly, but food was lacklustre - a main course that was quite poor, and a tasty dessert that the waitress admitted was bought in from an external source. A shame, because the location is stunning - could be so much better if they concentrated on improving the food.
Edit June 2022: food was ok. Starters both nice - looked and tasted good. My main (Boeuf Bourguignon) was not great - dry meat, reheated mash, and lacking in flavour - disappointing! My companion had the fishcake, which she enjoyed, but didn't know where the poached egg fit the meal. Service was excellent if distracted - they had a big party to deal with and were stretched a bit thin. The lady (Edyta? I think) was especially personable and a ray of sunshine.
Overall - great service and location is overshadowed by uninspiring food that is just a little overpriced for its quality.

Excellent food in a beautiful building. Well priced and friendly staff. Couldn't think of a complaint if I tried.

Very good quality food, clean venue, friendly staff and pretty building

Nice big breakfast with a hot drink included

Stopped in for a quick coffee whilst passing through Preston. Nice place, friendly staff, great atmosphere and a truly unique setting. Definitely worth a visit 🙌

Nice French Restaurant in Preston. We’ve been a few times . Visited last night and very disappointing, we were rushed as soon as we arrived , The main course actually arrived the minute we had put a knife and fork down from finishing the starters . Staff descended on us to clear the main course the second we showed signs we were finishing and actually hadn’t . Unfortunately food not up to the usual standards, chicken quite dry and served quite cold . Please don’t take a booking for 9.p.m if you are going to rush customers in this way . Didn’t dare order dessert.
S. L.
Great service and food. Let them know we only had limited time as we had a train soon, and they made sure our food came out nice and quickly.
A. P.
We ate here for my wife's birthday November '21. Food, drink, service and atmosphere all great. Special mention for the vegan beetroot wellington which was delicious. Our server, Sofia, was amazing; very friendly and attentive.
R.
Lovely atmosphere and the staff were so polite and friendly. The food was also delicious but unfortunately I ordered the wild boar tortelloni for my main, which was on the main menu but really shouldn’t be as it was only 5 or 6 pieces of pasta. It was nice but shouldn’t be advertised as a main or at least should be advertised as very small portions. If I hadn’t had a starter I would have been starving. Such a shame as if it hadn’t been for this I would have enjoyed my meal here. The starter and dessert was lovely but don’t order the wild boar tortelloni main course unless you want to be hungry.
E.
Highly recommended!
• Beautiful building/interior, great atmosphere
• Lovely, pleasant and polite staff
• Very good value for money - 3 courses £19.95 an extra £5 for fillet steak
• Great menu, with lots of choice
I ordered:
FRICASSÉE DE CHAMPIGNONS
Delicious and well presented, good portion
7OZ FILLET STEAK DIANE
Cooked to absolute perfection, one of the nicest steaks I have ever eaten. I am very particular about how I have my steak (rare) and I could not fault this at all. Perfectly seasoned, very tasty and just incredible, dauphinoise potatoes were lovely and would definitely order again and again. So impressed I had to find the chef as it was an absolute treat, thank you Johnny, it was delicious 😊
CHOCOLATE BROWNIE
A little rich for me but, I'd unfortunately had a late, large lunch so couldn't enjoy it like I might have done and was too full from the rest of the menu.
A friend devoured his though, so nothing negative on this, cheesecake looked amazing too but, it was eaten before I could get a spoon in.
Can't wait to come again! 10/10

Beautiful venue in a stunning building. Great food and drinks selection and excellent coffee. The service here is spot on and I would recommend this venue to anyone in the area.

We went there tonight for my partners birthday. The whole experience from the service to the food and drinks was 5 star plus. Could not fault them. Perfect evening and beautiful setting. Thank you. We will definately be back again and again.

Lovely bistro, the portions were a bit on the small side

Delicious food i really can't fault the quality service or ambiance. Its a stunning building inside fantastic romantic evening experience.

A little disappointed tonight I'm afraid to say. We have enjoyed a lovely experience on previous visits but tonight was not so.
The main problem was the peppercorn sauce that came with the steak. It had a very 'chemically' taste. When we asked why it tasted that way we were told the contents and that it was how it was supposed to taste. Later a manager came to tell us that others had complained about the taste and that he would pass on to the chain. We were not offered any alternatives or any compensation for our meal ( we were not looking for money off but a goodwill gesture would have been a good idea to ensure we return to the restaurant. ) Other little touches were simply missing tonight eg no towel around bottle in ice bucket and no biscuit/ chocolate with coffee. Little touches but they make a restaurant experience special.

Top food and great service. 👌👍

Beautiful building and fabulous service, food was fantastic and really quick arriving at the table! Thanks Bistro Pierre. Will be visiting again
R. M.
From entering the building to be greeted by a warm welcome from the staff. The building was so atmospheric and a warm feel to the place. The menu was superb I had a 7 course meal for just under £25 a very wide range on offer too. I highly recommend anyone to visit here.
M. D.
I've visited this beautiful restaurant many times now and it NEVER Fails to deliver. The customer service is absolutely EXCELLENT 5×, the staff are super friendly the chefs cook amazing dishes that are 100%perfect every time.. I've visited and had the pleasure of eating in so many amazing restaurants in my life and usually the service and food that's served in Bistrot would also come with a handsome price tag.. But the same attention to detail is there in abundance every time without the price tag. If you do visit which I strongly recommend, you would expect to pay not much more than £50 for 2 full meals and drinks. Also added bonus you add the app and points added for free dining and other goodies.. DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT

Lovely place, stopped for a bit of lunch with my husband, it did not disappoint. Friendly, efficient staff and lovely atmosphere. Food was amazing. Definitely recommend a visit and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

Great building, staff were very good and food range also. Will definitely go back

Superb food, good price. Lovely interior, would recommend.

Feel slightly bad for giving 3 stars as the the 3 is based purely on the service received.
So we came here for our first year anniversary celebration. I was excited as this was my first french restaurant and as my girlfriend grew up in france she wanted me to experience a little bit of that.
As soon as we arrived I was immediately put off we both were. We were left waiting to be greeted at the desk for 10 mins the main server saw us but never made eye contact or even said we are very busy please give us a moment, that would have been fine. Had it not have been the night it was we would have left.
Then when we were greeted we were taken to this table at the back of the restaurant in a very dark corner with the light about the table not working. I asked very nicely if it was possible for someone to change the lightbulb. To which they said they cant. So I asked for another table.
We got another table made our orders. And some drinks and bread while we waited for our starter. The bread was so beautiful and fresh.
We cant fault the food itself it was amazing!
We had our lovely starters and then had to wait a ridiculous 55 mins for our mains.
The manager did come over to us and said sorry this is when I mentioned everything else. She told me they had new training staff and this is what the problem was. Surely front of house would not be training with no one with them. So I saw that as a fabrication. The manager told us she had taken our first two drinks of the bill. Which was nice but a better experience would have been so much better.
There was a lovely waitress who told us about a fantastic cocktail bar to check out. Well done her because it made our night much better.
So as for the food definitely do it. Its amazing.
But just be very wary of the service.
It's a shame we had to experience this on such a occasion that should have been so much more.
G. W.
This place is how a restaurant should be run, efficient friendly professional staff , top notch standards on food and service. Made a busy night look easy. well done. And thank you for looking after my family's birthday celebrations so well.
T. H.
Wonderful service and a fantastic ambiance.
My chickpea and cauliflower curry however was not good. It certainly wasn't inedible, but it was too dry with undercooked chickpeas and cauliflower. I barely ate the rice and naan because there was pretty much no sauce.
My mum loved her bouillabaisse, and other diners food looked great.
Overall a great place and it seems strange to recommend a restaurant which I have given three stars to, but I would say visit and just avoid the vegetable curry. As a vegan this is not a place I will be visiting again.

A real pleasure to dine at Bistrot Pierre Restaurant Preston, UK...
together in a plate a mixture of tastes and flavors served attractively, the experience remaining memorable, exceptional, repeatable ! ...
Congratulations to the Chef and friendly staff... Exquisite place...

Visited for afternoon tea with friend. Lovely atmosphere, staff were great and food was very nice too. Had a super time.
L. G.
Beautiful building in the centre of Preston. The Croque-Monsieur on the breakfast menu was amazing. This restaurant is going to be a great addition to Preston.
A. C.
The food was good and the setting was gorgeous, but we were disappointed by some of the portion sizes and the atmosphere was...off. The old church was really beautiful and I loved the layout of the place, but the 80s rock music (VanHalen, etc) was really jarring. I had a steak with chips, which was great, but the watercress 'salad' was disappointing. I had to order an extra side of green beans to get any actual vegetables. My husband, however, ordered the wild boar tortellini and got...5. It was lucky he'd ordered a side of dauphinoise potatoes (for an extra charge, of course) or there would have been very little to eat. 5 pieces of medium-size (2 bite) pasta for £14 is ridiculous. As much as I adore the idea of a French restaurant in an old church, I think we'll skip the 80s rock next time and go somewhere else.
G. H.
Great service and food as always. Very accommodating of our needs. Great anniversary celebration for me and my husband
D. P.
This is a gem of a Restaurant, which I have frequented on a few occasions. Today, my husband and I had the afternoon tea. What an absolute treat that was, I must say, it did not disappoint, It's along time since I have tasted an afternoon tea as good as that. Above all, the staff are EXTREMELY attentive, and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to Chris for waiting on us, she is a credit to the Restaurant. You would be a fool not to try the menu at this immaculate Restaurant.
N. B.
Nice place for to drop by while out and about in the city centre. Customer service is great considering how big the place is ...you can easily be left waiting and forgotten , but there is always member of staffs around and walking passed your table for sure.
Food is ok but I think they need to seriously consider checking through their menu's content. Chicken dish had full on pork chuck s but was not stated on the menu. They did change it but I think some little gesture of good will in addition would have been nice as an apology. This does not give a good reassurance for customers when ordering anything in particular which might be linked to allergies etc...
Apart from that, nice atmosphere, and always helpful staff around. Would recommend.
B. B.
Lovely lunch, steak frites very good if not as pink as expected, choc brownie really good and drinks/environment absolutely top, would go again.
F. G.
Beautifully prepared and presented food. Interesting venue, staff were reasonably attentive. Happy to recommend.

Great meal in lovely surroundings. Highly recommended.

Lovely staff and great atmosphere! Our waitress Sofia was absolutely lovely. Visited after my graduation and Sofia made sure I had an extra cute dessert as a congratulations :)

Great friendly service, fantastic menu.

Beautiful building! Fab service and fab food!

Fabulous Lunch today. We enjoyed great food, my husband had the special, Scallops, he said they were delicious. We both dad steak and frites and thoroughly enjoyed them. We enjoyed Cocktails, Mojitos and Old Fashioned. It was good to be back out and eating in a restaurant after the last year. The service was excellent and friendly. It was our first meal out since lockdown etc and we really enjoyed the experience. We will definitely bevgoing back.
C. S.
Fabulous building, Fab food, definitely go back.
C. M.
Beautiful restaurant, great prices and great service.

Probably won't go back- food was good. Wasn't so sure about service when drinks order wasn't right.
K. W.
Went with the family, wonderful food, could not fault it. Great service and a lovely place to relax for a meal and a few scoops of beer
D. D.
Staff friendly and very polite good choice of menu, went at lunch time not too busy food excellent with plenty of flavour and not left waiting to order and receive food
E. B.
Always my first choice when wanting to go out for a meal.
I like the food, i like that ocassionally they change things in the menu, I love the desserts, the staff service is excellent and also the location is great.
I always recommend this restaurant to friends.
G. W.
Great place food is superb clean friendly fast service well worth a visit u will nog be dissapointed
A. T.
A little bit "up market" for my taste. I wouldn't necessarily knock the place, it's definitely a good place to go to impress but not somewhere I would choose personally over a cheaper but still nice restaurant. They do have good bread though...
S. L.
Friendly staff, excellent service and wonderful food. Well worth the visit, if you've never been before
M. S.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were greeted warmly upon arrival for our booking. The food was lovely and well presented but the service was very slow and poor. We had to chase our drinks twice and waited more than 20 minutes for them to arrive. Drinks eventually came when we chased them for a 3rd time when we were half way through our starters. Plates weren't cleared away from our mains for a good half hour at which point we couldn't be bothered waiting to order desserts so asked for the bill. Overall the restaurant is lovely but the service let's it down.
J.
Lovely food and cocktails. Just check the bill as ours was wrong! 😓
M. P.
We had our Christmas day out today. The meal here was so lovely. The staff were on the ball with service. A beautiful setting and we were sat on the mezzanine floor level. A great view of such a beautiful old church reconditioned to a very high standard. Booked for Christmas day. Can't wait to try it again.
I. P.
One of the coolest venues for a restaurant. The appetizers and steak were amazing! Definitely hope to visit again.
G. E.
Me and my sister was Christmas shopping in Preston and dined here for lunch having a 3 course meal. The food was amazing and the waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was great.
See you again soon next time booking for afternoon tea as looked amazing....x
M. F.
Exceptional food, great atmosphere in a beautifully restored former church. Have been there twice now and will certainly return again. The owners have done a great job by sympathetically restoring the place, keeping the stained windows and woodwork. Food is exceptional, catering for the fussiest of the customers (that's me). The place is always busy so would suggest booking your table in advance. Prices are very reasonable. The place is flawless, I am glad that we finally have a swanky restaurant in Preston.
P. K.
Beautifully renovated church building, now a restaurant.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
We bothe had the calamari starter which was great, my wife had a chicken dish which was a little dry and I had the burger which was really nice if a little salty.
L. F.
We went to Bistrot Pierre at the weekend and had the best experience!
All social distancing measures were in place and the staff did a great job at making it seem so effortless.
We felt extremely comfortable and at ease.
The service, food and drinks were second to none and we cannot wait to return for more!
B. P.
Enjoyed the food. Staff friendly & attentive. Only downsides were the fact one of our party had to return her chicken due to undercooked portion. This was replaced & a free dessert given but it meant we couldn't all eat at the same time. However it wouldn't put us off going again.
t. b. o. r.
Stunning restaurant and the food was better than good my only issue was very slow service but other than that brilliant
A. K. (.
Salad was not great but the desserts was exquisite
R. G.
Friendly staff, good range of items on the menu
R. C.
Good addition to Preston's high street and a nicely renovated church for the setting. Food was good, particularly the steak, lamb and pork dishes. Sadly service was a bit hit and miss - some of the staff were great, but others lacked awareness/enthusiasm. Bizarrely they said they couldn't accommodate us at our preferred time when I called, but when my wife rang back that time slot was magically available. The place was half empty when we got there. Room for improvement but would definitely visit again
D. L.
The food was excellent, the service was good and the staff friendly. Really enjoyed the wine
D. T. S.
Good food, great service :-)
C. N.
Fantastic French cuisine. Superb surroundings. Great friendly service.
Highly recommended.
We had mackerel pate, calamari and deep fried brie. All amazing.
Followed by beef bourginon, Maison burger and hake. All fantastic and full of flavour. And lastly french crepe and apple crumble. Lovely desert's.
Fantastic value at £11.95 for two courses and £13.95 for three courses.
This place is not your average place to eat. The food is restaurant quality. You will not be disappointed.
C. W.
A lovely meal had by all 5 of us tonight. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and gorgeous food and drink. Will definitely return.
K. H.
Great place for a casual meal and drinks. Not badly priced either £14 for starter and a main or main and dessert 12-6 everyday which had a great selection. Would definitely recommend for a lunch bite or social dining. Will be returning.
S. A.
We went to Bistro Pierre for a casual meal. I was impressed by the quality of the service. They know what they are doing and excels on it. The 3 couses for 14.95 was absolutely amazing. I truly enjoyed this restaurant.
F. S.
Interior design and decor is very well done but the atmosphere during the day is lackluster. Drinks are rather pricey but they have a wide choice.
A sign outside says for disabled visitors to call and assistance will be given. I was very wary of what form the assistance would be delivered so I struggled up the few steps. It was extremely hard work but worth it to see how well thought out the interior had been decorated.
A. B.
Brilliant quality food served promptly once the order was taken.
HOWEVER it took twenty minutes before we were even asked for our drinks order and another fifteen minutes before it arrived.
Our waiter was still learning the script, and had to keep asking the manager what to do.
Overall a good experience, but desperately needed more staff for a 6.30pm booking on a Monday!
M. D.
Shame we had to wait nearly and hour before our food arrives. My chicken printanier should have arrived with asparagus and seasonal vegetables and new potatoes, Instead I got broccoli stems that were tough and undercooked potatoes. A real shame as the starters lived up to expectations.
C. A.
Ate from lunch menu. Burgers were tasty but plates looked bare lacking any side salad. Was described as served with homemade burger sauce which was forgotten and brought separately when we asked. Staff looked like they would rather be anywhere else than at work and was difficult to attract their attention. Gin and tonic was almost £7. Also strong smell of fish in the restaurant.
A. W.
Staff are very friendly, accommodating and not too overbearing. The front of house was particularly good with our young children. The building is fascinating and they have done a fine job renovating it into a light airy space whilst retaining the original features. The food is as you would expect for a mid range chain, not spectacular but competently done.
D. P.
I was thirsty and had the dog, waiting for a train after unfortunate circumstances. They let me bring my dog in and order a drink during my journey home. Excellent, polite staff.
E. P.
Nice place, in a very beautiful building. When the weather is sunny its really worthy to sit on the balcony. Nice meals and coffees. The staff is friendly and they kept my purse safe when I miss placed it there until I went back to get it.
L.
Fantastic service, lovely food and friendly staff in beautiful surroundings! No complaints. Although it was a very busy Friday evening, the staff couldn't do enough for us. We were seated in a booth which has more room than the tables. We had the good value Autumn Price Fixe menu, 2 courses for £15.95. I had the Chicken Chasseur main and warm French Crèpes with fruit and ice cream for dessert! Nice fruity red house wine to accompany it! We all had a great night out. Will be back soon!
A. C.
Very good food, would definitely go again, although not as many typical French dishes on the menu as I expected
O. H.
Went the other night for a meal and food and general service etc was good!
However, staff that served us weren't as cautious with social distancing. Masks were not worn by staff serving your food/drinks, which is a concern when they are delivering your food.
They tended to be leaning over the table quite a lot, coming within distance (which would've been okay if a mask was worn). I
It may be okay for some, however we as a family felt quite uncomfortable as we thought it would be standard to keep distance as much as possible, but we didn't see a conscious effort made with PPE nor social distancing from staff members.
s. t.
This is an old church converted into a restaurant. It is very impressive. We were greeted warmly by the matredee and shown to our table.
We had the specials menu which was reasonably priced along with a bottle of the house wine which was £10.00 only on a Sunday which is when we visited.
Over all the food and service was great.
S. N.
Went in for quick drink and a snack the staff were very busy and it took 10 minutes to get anyone's attention but enjoyed what we had.good selection of foods on menu and reasonably priced.
S. L.
Although my companions raved about this restaurant I could not get over excited. The ambience is quite nice as the stained glass windows definitely add a little something. The service was fairly good. My meal was overly strong on tastes and so spoilt it for me. Also had one of there crepes which was soggy and definitely a miss on their part.
S. A.
Only four stars as didn't eat anything so cant really comment on standards of service and quality of food but the wine was very nice. The decor is lovely too. Enjoyed a glass or two whilst out for my birthday. 🍷😊
M. 6.
Visited here for an early bird tea the week before Christmas. Wide range of food on the menu, however was disappointed as three of the main items were out of stock, including turkey!! On a positive note, my meal was fabulous, the interior surroundings are beautiful and the staff very pleasant, even though they could have benefitted from a couple more. Despite this I would definitely recommend and I will return as this is one of the best places I've been in Preston in quite some time.
M. L. (. t. G.
Was a lovely evening and great food, with excellent service. This was my 3rd visit, and I've not been disappointed yet. It was very busy on a Saturday evening, and I'm really glad we booked our table ahead. Staff were cheerful, and the bathrooms were clean.
B. W.
We have no issues with the staff not wearing masks, the service is brilliant irrespective, the menu is fantastic and the food is even better. We will be returning until we experience otherwise. Its not for vegans or those intolerant to milk but I mean where is, we preffered to sit away from those who prefer to dine whilst wearing masks, the waiter was very accomodating with respect to this, a fantastic delivery from all staff. Such a great bulding too.
M. E. C.
Beautiful building, sympathetically restored and converted. Friendly service but a shame the petit plats had very little availability. I.e. very little on the menu actually available.
R. S.
Great value with various "offers" depending on the day and time. The evening menu isn't the cheapest but a really good choice and excellent quality. Our party of four were all suitably impressed with the food, wine, atmosphere and impressive decor
P. B.
Fabulous place, just had lunch with a couple of friends, not been before but will return. Great menu plenty of vege choices and friendly helpful staff. Two courses £12.95p well presented and delicious. I had the Smoked Haddock pate, followed by a very generous Roasted vegetable Moroccan salad. Yummy. Thanks Bistrot Pierre x😘
S. C.
The food was gorgeous couldn't fault it
a. m.
My wife and i visited yesterday for the fixed lunch time menu, can say the place is beautifully restored and is a lovely setting and ambience for a restaurant. The food was outstanding and really good value for the money paid. Would have given 5 stars but do feel that if you don't get a booth to eat in then they have sort of over crowded all the other tables for 2 so you are virtually elbow to elbow with the table next to you. The only other thing was that the restaurant does state that it is kid friendly, but both my wife and I were grateful that we didn't actually have our lively 3 year old with us as we didn't feel his presence would have gone down with the other diners as it is quite an echoey place and he isn't the quietest of children lol.
Apart from that great place great food, and if we do get the chance to visit again when we are child free ( which isn't often!!) will definitely go again.
J. E.
We enjoyed our visit to bistrot Pierre, the food and drink were enjoyable and the building is so gorgeous, our only issue was an awful lot of bar flies buzzing around our food and drink, which really put a damper on the experience... Even if you don't fancy the food, I think this place is definitely worth the visit, even if it's just to look at the gorgeous architecture :)
S. P.
The food was tasty. Good size portion.
Nice setting in the converted church. Staff were prompt. Not busy, but still a good atmosphere, despite the pandemic.
Would recommend.
S. W.
Me and my fiance came for a 2 course lunch this afternoon. Food arrived fairly quickly after ordering. Was very nice, apart from receiving a "day sticker" mixed in my coleslaw for my main. So I didn't eat that. I received an apology. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.
a. t.
Very lovely atmosphere the food did take a while to come though
S. C.
Very good starters and good mains, very good service..
C. D.
I first dined here in the opening week, it was fantastic. But after returning again last night I was disappointed. We had one server take our order, and then another two serve our drinks and food. My main arrived and we tucked in, I soon realised I was missing any vegetables. I waited what seemed like ages to get the waiters attention, whilst my partner continued to eat. I asked if the dish came with veg, he said it did and came back with the veg 5 minutes later. This having been 10 minutes since my meal was served I had nearly eaten it when the veg came. A quick apology and he was off. My partner had the rump steak, it was very peppery and a rather small portion, served with pomme frites but no veg. We weren’t asked if everything was okay at any point, and even on paying we were not asked. The wine that was recommended by the server was actually not in stock so he returned to tell me he didn’t know it was unavailable and appologised. Again not a big deal but just a combination of lots of little things that didn’t leave us with a good feeling. The dauphinois was VERY garlicky and had to search for the cream sauce. Disappointing. Chilli prawns were delicious, as was the calamari and deep fried Brie, bread was lovely. My pork medallion main was very tasty although it was spoiled by the service. The lady who brought our bill slid the bill tray across the table and walked away. Not exactly service with a smile. Really gutted it went like this as it was really good first time around. I think asking how everything is is part of a good service and not once did anyone ask. Had someone done so I could of explained my unhappiness at my main disaster. I considered mentioning it when we took the bill to the till (as again there was nobody checking in with us) but couldn’t be bothered, I feel that is the job of the restaurant. A beautiful venue, but seriously lacking in customer service/communication among staff and continuity of service on this occasion.
N. T.
Place was lovely, food was lovely but the service was not as good as I had believed it to be. We ordered cocktails that took 45 minutes to arrive. we received our cocktails after ordering not long before the starters and yet we ordered the cocktails 10 minutes befor the starters.
C. W.
Had an impromptu lunch whilst out shopping with a friend. Food was delicious and a really nice place.
We were seated outside at the back of the café which was in the shade and really cold which was a shame as at the front it was really sunny. Can't complain too much though, they are doing their best.
Would return again definitely hopefully in the sun next time or inside.

Went to Bistrot Pierre yesterday. Only had fleeting visits to Preston before, despite strong family connections.
Struck by the beauty of the building. You have to see it, to believe it A former Baptist chapel, I believe. A glorious piece of neo Romanesque delight, from the the nineteenth century. Now a French restaurant/bar. Popped in for a quick drink. Can't wait to go back for a meal. The staff were a delight. Dear Preston. An underrated town. Lovely people. Without pretention.
A. S.
A nice evening laid on by Bistrot Pierre. Service was friendly and personable throughout. Food was consistently of good standard. The steak were cooked well and the creme brulee was delightful. Reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.
C. W.
Fantastic place! Stunning building, although we didn't eat the food looked amazing! Staff always friendly and helpful! Well worth a visit! Will definitely be back!
A. M.
My favourite part was the manager with his mask around his neck the whole time who seemed like he couldn't have cared less - hmmm.. Food looked okay, we only got a coffee. The setting is quirky and is in an old church.
E. D.
Service and food have been amazing! The staff are fantastic at adhering to covid regulations whilst still ensuring5* atmosphere.. we will certainly be back!!
J. F. R.
I went to the Bistrot Pierre to meet my sister and I was most impressed.
First of all it is very nice inside.
It was the old Baptist Church in Preston and has been renovated.
It has a very nice interior.
I did not have anything to eat but my sister did and she said it was of good quality.
It was not over expensive either.
The service was quick and efficient.
The staff were helpful.
I would recommend a visit to the Bistrot Pierre in Preston.
T.
The atmosphere of this place is exquisite. The sunlight penetrating through the colorful stained glass combined with their selection of music places your mind in a state of calmness and relaxation.
The food here is hands down delicious. I tried the lamb and was worried it would be a letdown like many places before; however, I was served with an amazing combination which made my tastebuds wanting more with each bite. My desert (do not recall the name of it) was made fresh that day. On first appearance, it resembled a flan. I despise many flans; however, this was no flan. It was something stollen from the gods in heaven and brought straight to my table. Their restrooms provide each visitor with their own private room.
Overall, this is hands down the best restaurant I have visited in the England. I would recommend this place to any and everyone. They provide student discount and a quit atmosphere to study. If this is not a 5-star restaurant already, then you should hurry and sample their menu.
T. P.
Service was good, waiter had a great repour with us, enjoyed the food only let down was one of our party found a clump of hair in their meal. They did remove this from the bill and gave us free dessert. Overall a good experience.
L. P.
Fantastic first time experience, lovely hot day and were offered lunch on the balcony. Servers were attentive but not intrusive and our meals were very tasty. We have already booked a table to return again.
T. B.
I visited on Saturday, the food was delicious and our server Sofia was amazing. Totally recommend it guys 🤩
G. C.
Went to bistrot Pierre this afternoon and was instantly struck by the beautiful modern decor and energetic even uplifting ambiance which coarses through your veins from the moment you enter the establishment. Our server was a fine well groomed plucky young chap who couldn't do enough to help from explaining the menu and the deals of the day. I started off with the mushrooms and bacon on sourdough. This dish spoke to tastebuds on the palate I forgot existed. On to the main course and I had the minute steak. Now I understand where the vegans are coming from but if a cow is going to die I am glad the sacrifice is used for the artistry this chef performs with its meat. Truly delicious with a garlic butter sauce to die for. On to the pudding, the classic sticky toffee pudding. A personal favourite and a balance often neglected this was both sweet and light. Overall a wonderful lunch service at a very affordable price. The only downside was some scruffy gentleman on the table next to us dining out in flip flops carrying a drawstring CEX bag with a broken string. I personally would enforce a stricter dress code but Overall very nice 9/10
J. O.
Great food - Great prices and lovely atmosphere- had the lunchtime special menu which is very good 👍
T. W.
On the 23rd of march my sister and her partner my wife and I were all dining at Bistro Pierre to celebrate my wife's birthday and as on all our previous visits the food was fabulous and obviously we'll be returning very soon. I would also like to give your brilliant staff a thumbs up for the way they looked after us . A table of rowdy diners at the side of our table looked like they may be trouble . So your manager without any fuss moved us to another table, out of harms way and we enjoyed our evening Well done Bistro Pierre

Went for the first time today for lunch. It was excellent. Nice buzz about the place, food was delicious and good value for money. Very attentive waiter (Tommy) served us. Will definitely be going back.

Great value food and attentive, pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect dining experience
Beautiful interior and friendly efficient staff. The menu is varied ,food exquisite and reasonably priced

Had the chicken didn't rate.
N. B.
Really enjoyed my lunch, and the staff were friendly.

Our first visit and probably our last. One plate of cold food, no garnish with starters, lacking onions rings, mushrooms and tomatoes with the steak, overpriced and warm wine.
Service good.
Would not recommend.
D. M.
Lovely place but food was only average. Chicken overcooked, vegetables undercooked. Had to ask for bread with soup, ice cream tastless.
J. K.
Great food and service in an unusual setting. The building is an old church, the food was excellent and though it was a bit pricey was value for money.
i. w.
Nice place. Only called if for a drink after a trip to the lakes . Used to have more selection of beers but unfortunately not on this occasion.
s. b.
What beautiful food.Had 3 course meal, all of it was beautiful cooked and the staff were friendly. Will be going there again.I think Gordon Ramsay would love the food.Well done to all the staff at front of house and all the staff in the kitchen.

The service was very long (spent from 9:00 pm to 11:30 pm ) but the food was good. Being originally from France, the food there is quite typical but you could find that type of food for very less expensive. Otherwise the place is quite unique and very beautiful. And also, nobody from staff speaks French.
G. H.
A good range of food for veggies & meat eaters. A bit of confusion regarding supplementary charge on specials however it was swiftly dealt with and professionally!! We will definitely be back. Lovely food, beautifully cooked 😋 x
J. G.
Really mixed experience. I had a great starter of Calamari and nice Boeuf Bourguignon for main course. My colleagues however all had steak and ordered various cuts cooked in various ways. Every steak that came out was the same cut and the waiter even questioned it when confronted. Eventually conceding, he replaced one of the steaks and gave us our first drinks on the house.
S. M.
Really nice place to eat, amazing food. Really reasonably priced but still amazing quality. Staff are always pleasant and happy to help. Will always go back when I'm in the area.
S. V.
Love this place great ambiance, great food , very friendly staff, great atmosphere will definitely return
D. H.
Food excellent as always and although not large portions they are priced accordingly and after three courses not over full and uncomfortable, service was slightly slow probably due to Xmas/new year time but nothing to bother about. Looking forward to our next visit.
S. I.
Food and venue great. Service was very slow - had to chase.
D. H.
The restaurant is located in a converted church, so is an interesting space. The menu offers quite a lot of choice at reasonable prices and the food we ate was very good. The serving staff were very attentive. I would definitely go there again.
L. T.
Beautiful meal one evening, a fantastic place, would highly recommend.
A. T.
Lovely surroundings, good price, tasty food that's a bit different, staff very friendly. We went during a quiet afternoon and couldn't knock it. Unsure what it would be like when busy

Had a table booked for my birthday by my daughter.
When my partner and I arrived we were taken to a small two seater table that we felt not suitable. My partner spoke to the maitre d who dismissed her saying there were no booths available.
I then spoke to our waiter Aimee explained our situation and disatisfaction with our table.
Without any fuss she arranged to move us to a booth.
Throughout our meal Aimee was so professional, polite and an absolute credit to your company.
At the end of an excellent meal and drinks we were more than happy to pay more than we initially expected.
Thanks to Aimee We considered the evening excellent value.
And a great way to celebrate my Birthday..
W. A.
Really nice place. A very good choice on the menu. I had no idea until I left that it's a chain restaurant. That says a lot in my book! I will definitely be visiting again.
C. M.
Lunch at Bistrot Pierre with my friend and her beautiful baby. The staff seated us at a large booth so that the pram was out of the way and the little one could lie on the booth seat and watch the comings and goings (he is too tiny for a highchair just yet). My food was very good, however my friend opted for a salad. The description sounded fabulous but the reality of this salad was a ton of rocket leaves with a dollop of houmous. I spoke to a waitress who provided a plate of steamed vegetables to put on the salad. The staff treated us beautifully and rectified the issue of the disappointing and barren salad without any hesitation. I would recommend and will be returning
H. C.
Beautiful building, friendly staff, we had prix fixe menu which was enjoyable for the price but would have been disappointed if we'd paid menu prices.
L. G.
Really nice different place although drinks very expensive. The waiters don't really listen to you want I wanted potatoes and ended up with the thinnest cold French fries think chip sticks are thicker. Steak excellent though.
C. D.
Great value 3 course menu
A. F.
A very tastefully converted church with a large central bar/waiting area , Friendly attentive staff, good food from an extensive menu and good value. The steaks from here have always been cooked perfectly tender and very tasty
M. N.
Mediocre food at exorbitant prices. Dauphinoise potatoes were cut from a block like you'd get at an all inclusive holiday hotel in Egypt and they were very dry, not made with any care at all. Crepes were a single pancake with small dollop of ice cream. And I paid £6.35 for a pint of lager and a glass of lemonade. Rip off. Service was super slow. I'm giving it 3 stars because my Poulet Chasseur was 'nice' and I enjoyed the family table we had upstairs. The mixed toilets aren't a good idea either. Poor women must get annoyed cleaning up after lazy men.
G. T.
Busy Friday night when we visited so a buzzing atmosphere .attended straight away with menus and drinks order .great menu with lots of choices.food well cooked and presented. Will go again soon .
R. S. R.
Establishment ambience and food were very good !!
Service was poor, i had to ask for wine list 5 mins after being seated, should really offer drinks or wine list immediately on seating.
Main course plates only removed 12 mins after everyone had finished and then only after leaving the table to ask.
No dessert menu offered until again 10 mins after main course plates cleared and yet again only after leaving the table and button holing a waiter to ask.
I was like a jack in the box throughout the mail yet waiters were 20 feet away congregating around the till or resetting tables for the evening service. Maybe, and here's a thought, they should concern themselves with customers who are already there !!
A. W.
Well what can I say about this place . Firstly the exterior needs a mention as it's beautiful . I'm guessing it used be a church at some point and has been converted . Whoever did this needs recognising publicly because they have sypathetically done this place out and kept a huge amount of original features . The food was excellent, the beer selection wad good also . Didn't have to wait for a table which is a bonus . I would recommend this place for for the arcitechture alone but the food and service is also excellent. Give it a shot folks you will not regret it .
L.
Excellent value lunch time menu. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
P. S.
Long waiting time the chicken was okay but wasn't very hot was just warm and too much Tenderstem broccoli on the plate there was more of that than anything else .
B. J.
I went to neighbouring Brucciani's the previous week and won't be in a hurry to return after finding this gem of a place. The food was actually outstanding, three courses for me and my better half, top drawer service, reasonably priced too. Highly recommended thanks guys!!
M. J. C.
Had a wonderful celebratory lunch at Bistrot Pierre in Preston today after my partner and I ran the Avenham Park / UCLAN 5K run. The restaurant was lovely with a great atmosphere, great friendly service and wonderful food. Our 3-course lunch was beautifully presented, fresh and lovely and hot! Our waitress was lovely and we had such a special time at the restaurant. We highly recommend the restaurant and will be back again with our friends and family very soon!!
A. M.
Great food (and wine) and a particularly beautiful building in which to enjoy it. Friendly service, super clean, hard to fault anything! Doesn't feel like a restaurant chain.
T. B.
Visited with family this week to celebrate my birthday. Beautiful environment, gorgeous food, slightly lacking in staff but would not let this prevent me from going again. Highly recommended!
P. S.

Prices wern't astronomical either.
D. W.
Can't fault the place, went here with my mum for lunch. Very much enjoyed the food and staff were attentive.
Y. C.
Decor, staff, service all great but quality of food below par. Lovely venue but food bit of a let down.
J. M.
Excellent and original premises. Food good...only downside was lack of availability of some menu items.
R. H.
Really nice building, nice food at a fair price. Quite slow service though, but we weren't in a rush and didn't have our child with us. Went into restaurant at about 11:30 and left at 1:30 after a 3 course meal, on a Monday...will be back as we did enjoy.
e. m.
Beautiful place. The breakfast was amazing as was the service. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
J. M.
Visited today on an office Christmas party. Such a beautiful restaurant with lovely food & atmosphere. Your staff were exceptional particularly a young girl called Felicity (Fliss). She's a credit to your restaurant.

p. S.
Lovely food. the staff were very friendly. I would go again as it was reasonably priced
G. G.
Good food, lovely place to visit. Staff very welcoming and efficient. Reasonable prices. What more can we want.
D. M.
Good lunch menu and great value for 3 courses. Reason for 4 stars is because of a few issues with drinks but it is relatively new so I'm sure it's just teething problems
a. h.
Nice place and the staff are very welcoming. The food was great. I enjoyed the Thai fish cake (great flavours) and my daughter enjoyed the steak
C. F.
Took a friend for lunch here today and really enjoyed our food, the steak was melt in the mouth! Service was a little slow towards the end but enjoyed ourselves none the less and will visit again
S. S.
Food tasty, but not a large amount, good for portion control. I had Eggs Royal not enough sauce. Would not recommend for breakfast, if you wanted to be sustained for the day.
E. C.
Great food as always, it's our favourite place to go.
e. g.
First time today Boxing Day. And it will certainly not be the last time. Food was delicious. Set meal but lovely. Anbience and staff top notch. Loved it loved loved it it

A very welcome addition to Preston. The investment was worthwhile; the food is good quality, well presented, large portions and good value. Credit to a strong kitchen & service team.
M. R.
Really lovely hosts. Would have been a 5 star but we had a long wait for our main. Other than that it's lovely to visit!
M. W.

S. H.
Arrived to find we had not been booked in manager question us ,we got a table food not as we expected
r. w.
Drinks on the outside balcony, lovely place will visit again
s. m.
Food was ok. Service was terrible. Waited ages to be acknowledged. Slow service with the drinks and then the food. No one asked if everything was ok . Staff are a bit up themselves and I found them quite arrogant.
P. G.
Nice food and place tastefully converted from old church. Service has been slow on both our visits so don't expect fast food, but nice and fresh when it arrives.
B. B.
Really good restaurant, amazing venue, well organised, clean and safe. Enjoyed my lunch together with my family. Strongly recommended
A. C.
We had a lovely meal here and good service. We would recommend the goan prawn starter and beef bourginon which went well with the 94 red house wine.

H. C.

G. T.
Was struck overnight in Preston...delighted to have found this place for some supper. Cracking steak frites and a decent creme brulee. Great staff too...wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
J. T.
The good: Food and drinks were delicious, nice 'posh' atmosphere and great service.
The bad: The prices are just shy of expensive and we were on a table for two which was just a tad too small.
Would definitely go again but try and get a booth!!
L. R.
Good food but felt like it was all lettuce with the salmon and the new potatoes were cold
D. A.

For was good, service a little slow but that was probably due to the first week of dine out to help out. Great building and friendly attentive staff.

We come here often. The food is always spot on and the prices are decent. Recommended place to try when you’re next in the town centre.
