Good food, fast service. Highly recommended, albiet salty, umami overload. When we had our first bite at Coco's, we wondered, why haven't we been here before? Classic, Better late than never moment. Coco's is the most recommended restaurant in Preston by the young brigade. Close to UCLAN, great food, vibrant ambience, affordable and food from around the world. Ticks all the right boxes. Open on all days except Sunday, we visited on a Tuesday late afternoon for lunch. There was some delay in placing our order as they very politely explained that they are short staffed at this hour of the day,which was understandable. Few sips into our drinks and the food arrived, rather very quickly and blew our minds. The chimichangas were our favourite. Crusty, flaky, cheesy and bursting with flavours. Let's put it this way, take your tastiest pizza/burrito, fold it upon itself and deep fry it. Yumm! Although it was starter, we started and ended our meal with it. For the main course, we had the goat curry and jerk chicken. Both were mouth watering and very flavourful. If one likes BBQ sauce and crispy, flavourful fries, the jerk chicken should satisfy you. And if you are from the tropics and can handle the overload of spice and umami in your meat curry, go for the Goat curry. It reminded us of home although we come from different parts of India. We especially liked the rice which was served with the curry, it could stand out on its own as well. The drinks, which were imported bottled beverages, were different and refreshing. We chose a hibiscus-lemonade drink from Calypso and a root beer from Australia. We were told that they will be changing their menu soon, so the brown stew was not available. I would say 4.5 stars out of 5 for the entire experience. Half a star only cause mid way during the meal we felt that the salt content of the mains was extremely high which I am assuming were the dishes that we had ordered. The next time we would go for less salty options and maybe an extra bowl of greens/salad. Needless to say, we will be visiting this place over and over again.

Attended as a large group of 16. The service received throughout was excellent. The owner kept in touch with me prior to our attendance, and allowing some last minute changes we'd made. On arrival we were invited to our own floor which I wasn't expecting but was brilliant. They patiently waited for us to be ready and once we were the food started coming up by staff who all had a smile on their faces and made us feel very welcome. The food was incredible, the flavours were amazing, the portions plentiful, and good value. The menu is very diverse too, if you can't find something you like, you need to give up trying to eat at all. I was a little concerned that perhaps our group may be a bit too much to manage, especially with the varied meals being ordered, but everything went smoothly. An absolutely perfect experience, couldn't have asked for better. A*****. The owner needs to be proud of his business, and the staff proud of themselves for the service given. I wish all at Coco's the best 😊

Unbelievable food and very hardworking employees. I went last night and they were short staffed and the queue was enormous but it didn’t even take more than 20 minutes to get a table and the food came out like 10 minutes later. Friendly staff and great food what else can you ask for

Fantastic little place. The food here tastes amazing and is at an affordable price. Staff are very friendly there is enough seating. I reccomend the soul burger, absolutely delicious. Bonus is that is it halal! The fries here are also the best fries I have ever ate! So good for just 1.50. Only downsides are it is cash only and they don't serve tap water. They do however have a good range of drinks to select from.

I can't think of any reason why I wouldn't give this place 5 stars ! I visited on a Saturday lunchtime, already a few groups in. The menu accommodates most tastes. Our group had Greek salad, Venezuelan bean burger and crispy duck burger.....but there were so many alternatives! Big portions, full of flavour and delivered speedily to the table. All made fresh with the chilled tones of Bob himself in the background. The side of fries with the house speciality sauce topped off a fab meal. Very reasonable costs, have paid double for less. Would definitely recommend and will certainly go again. The place does take out too!

Coco's has to be one of the best places to eat in Preston. The food is a delectable mix of Caribbean flavours, Central and South American dishes and South African spices, guaranteed to get your tastebuds doing somersaults in your mouth. With extremely generous portions on offer, be warned not to come here for a just a ‘small bite’ or feeling half full.…you need to be HUNGRY and on an empty stomach!!! The Brazilian ribs are amazingly tender and juicy and the mango salad topped crusted chicken is a must try. The burritos are some of the fattest I've seen, enough for two. All menu items are halal.

I've been hearing many great reviews about this place, so I was excited finally dine here. I ordered the Falafel Burrito with chips for £5.70, a decent price. The chips were tasty and not greasy. The burrito was filling but the falafel didn't have much of an impact in flavour or texture. Also, there was alot if salt in the burrito and chips. Other than that, everything was great. I do believe there are better items to choose from the beautiful menu, so I will be returning!

Great little place to eat in Preston. We went there as a recommendation from someone and I can confirm we were not disappointed. I had the mango chilli chicken with red skin on fries as well as a peach Fanta! The food was delicious, staff very welcoming and friendly couldn’t fault the place. I noticed they had some unusual soft drinks snapple, Arizona iced tea and some funky flavours of Fanta, peach, strawberry and apple. Very good value for money, worth a visit if you’re ever in Preston.

I have been to Coco's 20+ times now, I have never tried an item on the menu that doesn't excel in flavour for a great price. The meals are a good size, the staff are really friendly and the food is incredibly tasty. The outside might not look like a fancy restaurant, but I promise you that one meal in here will have you ranting and raving to your friends about the fantastic place you've discovered.

Coco's got recommended to me by a member of staff in a local shop, I'm glad I went and gave it a try! Bit of a fussy eater so I ordered the burger without any extras on it. It did get brought out with the sauce etc on it, however this got remedied very quickly. If I'm down that way again I'll be stopping by.

I ordered the Vietnamese Chicken Burger, Redskin fries (essentially sweet potato fries) and Coleslaw, I hadn't planned to order so much but the minimum £10 spend on cards is particularly disappointing. Food was served relatively quickly, and was super tasty. My only criticism was that thigh meat seemed an interesting choice for a burger as it the meat was tough and the burger was falling apart in my hands. It was tasty but messy. All in all a solid meal, almost perfection if it wasn't for the minimum card spend and the choice of either breast or thigh meat

One of the best takeaways I've had in Preston to date. The variety of food you get and the quality is just on point. Each item has its own burst of flavour and tastes completely different to the next making it a real experience. Fresh, hot, exceptional food. Its so good, we saved the leftovers and actually ate them too the next day. Would recommend the spring rolls, the Chimichangas, and the burgers. The sauces are paired really well with the food and I could see why there were queues all the way outside. If you're looking for something different, I would definitely recommend Coco's. 10/10.

Only been once, so this is based on just one visit but this place came highly recommended by a number of people. It was very good but unfortunately they had run out of rump steak - I'd heard good things about it - but I'd reviewed the menu in advance and so I settled for the mixed grill instead. Two nice kebabs, a chicken wing and a lamb chop. Fries were good. Reasonably priced, but no license, so soft drinks only. Popular with local student, due to location and reasonable prices. Preston has impressed be a lot as places may not look so inviting from the outside but actually are nice and cosy and serve fantastic food. Places have their twist and blend of sauce and presentation so they are great at what they do. Cocoa was recommended to me it turned out mind blowing. First time I’ve not felt annoyed that I had to pay for the separate sauce. I got their spicy sauce and that’s the first spicy sauce that didn’t burn my mouth but had a hell of a kick to it with some sweet notes. The presentation of the food was excellent and the food arrived quickly too. As I ate the food tasted better and it was cooked to a very good standard. They have seating on the upper level too so plenty of seats. Food costs around £16 so it was actually cheap compared to Manchester the same meals at this standard would costs around £20+ I got the cheesy fry’s and they were proper cheesy fries and not a rip off version where cheese is just dropped on top of the fries. Definitely going back and a must try for foodies.

The food was insanely good with amazing portion sizes. I can't handle spicy so I had butterfly king prawns in garlic and lemon. It was fantastic! Not had such a good meal in a long time! My friends had allsorts and loved their food too. Snickers milkshakes are fantastic and even the music was good. It's just not a very big building so not loads of tables. The food here is amazing!!!! One of the best places in Preston, especially their Mexican food and their Jamaican Jerk chicken is particularly good. The place is also hygienic, staff are friendly and service is good. It is in town tho which means there is no parking.

Excellent food place. Hard to exactly say what they are, since they really just have a bunch of stuff. Its really just fusion food of whatever you can imagine - that being said it tastes pretty decent so it doesnt really matter. For instance, the cheese/vegetable enchilada tasted like pizza, but it tasted good so that was not a problem. Prices range from 3.5-8 pounds. You can definitely eat for 4 pounds or less if you want though. Eat in is more expensive (~.20). Staff are pretty friendly and laid back. Great place to eat quickly.

Fantastic cafe offering some of the best food in Preston. Apart from the expected sandwiches, burgers and wraps, they do roast chicken, ribs, steaks, etc. all dressed with amazing flavours. They also have their signature sauce to dip your chips in and a great selection of drinks. Bring cash though as they do not accept cards.

I’ve been visiting Coco’s for a few years now and have never once been disappointed by the sheer high quality and impressive flavours of their food. Also, I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for food to arrive after ordering, even at quite busy times. Coco’s offers a large range of dishes, which draw on inspiration from many different parts of the world, and seems to always have something to satisfy, whatever you may fancy. I would especially recommend the smoky jerk chicken burger, the BBQ chicken burrito, and Coco’s nachos.

I LOVE Coco's Soul Food! I realise it's not everybody's taste... The food is excellent, but service is very chaotic, they don't serve alcohol, food arrives when it arrives, the decor is informal and they only accept cash. I like all these things! They make it different from all the cookie-cutter restaurants out there and give it a proper personality, but for some these will be deal-breakers. Food is excellent, but only visit if the above issues fill you with excitement rather than dread! 😁
