I love Light Ash Farm! We have visited to both eat in and take away. Friendly service, great quality food but the best thing is the cake. The selection is huge, there is so much to choose from, everything I have tried is delicious. The cake portions are massive and I normally have to cut them into two or three pieces. If you want a cake treat this is definitely the place to go.

Quaint cafe which I visited for a friend's baby shower. WiFi was rubbish which meant the Alexa provided by the venue to play music on in the function room could not be used. Could use wi-fi extender. Food and drinks were lovely though, staff friendly and pleasant

Great Farm Cafe, beautiful food, full breakfast is one of the best, gorgeous lunches or just coffee and cake, the cakes are out of this world with a large selection. The Light Ash is mostly busy so it's best to reserve a table if you're thinking of going around lunchtime. Flag floors and large farmhouse tables, very clean and cosy with a large log burner in winter. Good for disabled, parking is good, nice clean toilets, picnic benches outside in the sunny part, beautiful setting in the countryside, quiet and peaceful. Well worth a visit.

Had ' door stop' Lancashire cheese butties with large Americano coffee. Lovely flavour.... There was a huge amount of food so my wife asked for a box to take one of the butties home with her. Only downside to our visit. . . . No room for any cake !!! This farm cafe although off the beaten track has two very large car parks, very clean unisex toilets and very friendly, efficient staff. We hope to visit again soon.

Superb cafe. Hidden gem. Exactly what you want from a 'destination' cafe. Ie. Special enough to nake a special trip to. Loads of parking. Super toilets. Loads of seating oitdoors if you wanted it. Great interior. Theyve made very good subtle improvements to the interior since our last visit, modernising and smartening the till area and hiding the kitchen. Service exceptional. Great for kids to stroke the stabled horses outside and watch the swallows. Food portions super generous Delicious chunky farm house bread. Proper chips. Great menu. Reasonably priced. Finest produce used. Eg honeywells. Dessert choice and quality OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD Cakes and pastries insane. A couple of critical observations: Acoustics in dining area not thought about. Easily correcyed by putting some absobant material about. Maybe a hessian ceiling feature draped somewhere. Would stop it getting disytactingly noisy. Also why not make more of the queen's visit in the dining room. Not everywhere has that, would be nice to have something on view in there to show that off. We will definitely be returning.

Had our second visit to this place and it didn’t disappoint us. We had poached eggs on toast with beans which was just right and plentiful. We took out some of their lovely cakes to eat later. I’ve eaten one of them already and it was really good. There can’t be another place with the selection of cakes this place has. The staff are very helpful and obliging. Home built meringues the size of boulders and other cakes to die for, not the place for anyone who has phobia for cake! Nice little farm and antique shop, some of which is used in the upstairs part of the cafe, coupled with excellent parking. Understandably busy at lunchtimes which never seem to faze the friendly staff. If it's good enough for the Queen, it's good enough for anyone. Only downside is the access which is down a single track road and oncoming road users who do not know what passing places are for.

This was the best gluten free afternoon tea I have ever had. Often with gf there is little choice but not so here! A great selection of sandwiches served with salad and crisps, scone with jam and cream and then the cakes! Lemon drizzle, carrot, meringue and Tiffin. All delicious, moist and home made. Similar to my non gluten free friends so I didn't feel the odd one out. Excellent value for money and will definitely be visiting again.

Set in the countryside near Myerscough college, this venue has a great, warm and welcoming atmosphere with great home made meals in large portions. There are also tables and seating available upstairs that is seldom used. Lovely place to visit and walk along the river with family and pets. Their are also toilet facilities available. The venue is also popular with cyclists. Highly recomended. Closed on Tuesday, be careful on the road up to the cafe, there are some inconsiderate drivers on the roads.

Lovely little out of town cafe and farm shop, with a cute boutique full of unique jewellery, bags, clothes and gifts. Service is with a smile and the food represents great value for money, the prices might seem a little high but the quality is sufficient and portions are certainly enough to justify the cost. The cakes taste as good as they look too, which comes as a pleasant surprise. Overall it's definitely worth a visit, even if it's a little off the beaten track.

Came for lunch today, we got here about 11.30am and managed to get a table. 20 mins later and the cafe was full down stairs. I ordered cheese and red onion quiche with salad which, was delicious. My mother in law had a ham sandwich with side salad. The bread was like door steps and the Ham was very tasty she said. My son had leek and potato soup with a tuna sandwich. He struggled to finish his sandwich which, was a shock as he constantly eats. The room was nice and warm with the log burner. Service very good, quick and friendly. The cakes are huge at least 6 tiers. I would never be able to eat one. The little shop as you enter has some fabulous scarf, cushions, jewellery and bags. It’s definitely a place to visit even for just coffee. Great experience

Re-visted yesterday (Sunday afternoon), you really need more outside seating, maybe use some of your car park at the front as you have plenty of space to rear. You've done a good job of moving all the lovely food to the front section but so little seating outside, a priority surely ? No space so we didn't stay and went to Owd Nells down the road, shame because you could have so easily had our business.
