Four of us travelled from far and wide to visit here and it was a brilliant choice. I've included a photo of the menu and I could quite happily come back here every day until I had worked my way through it. Knowing that wasn't possible I chose the set King Thali (£9) - includes two starters, three curries, rice and breads and a sweet... just look at the photo! I finished every bit of it off, and delicious it was too. If you haven't got a big appetite you may struggle to finish it, but I'd skipped lunch in preparation. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Great place, thoroughly recommend it.

We have been craving for Indian Street food and RK's came as a blessing during our Lancashire holiday. As a Vegetarian we always find it difficult to get variety in restaurants with Indian cuisine, but RK's dining menu is a true showcase of what India has to offer. They have items from various regions of India, from Chole bhature of North to Idli, Dosa of South, street food of Vada Paav of Mumbai to Kathi Rolls from Kolkata and few other dishes that you wouldn't find in other restaurants like Undhiyu n Patra Vadi lots of sweets/deserts. The taste is very yummy, with a hint of sweetness which is typical of the Gujarati taste pallet.

This place is a hidden gem!! Food is fresh, homemade and affordable. Best masala dosa and samosa chaat I've ever had. And staff are so friendly. Also love the sweets and savoury they do as takeout 😋

It wasn't as authentic. No spice, no flavours, no colour just bland We ordered: Pani puri - Which wasn't nice, the water was too sweet. Papri chaad - complete let down, no yoghurt, no flavours just bland. Masala dosa - The dosa was good which is why I am giving it a three star but the potatoes in the dosa was very buttery, made me feel a little sickly. Mango lasi - Loved it! Probably the best out of all. Not sure if it's fresh though. Falooda - My husband ordered this drink for himself and he didn't like it much. Overall, it wasn't spicy or filled with authentic flavours. It was made bland and more for the non Asian community.

Found this place on Google maps and what a find, vegatarian food, was absolutely fantastic, never have I tried such tasty foods this is a place everyone should take your time out of your day and visit, such nice hospitable and freindly people the large plate was £9 and the smaller one £7, the food is excellent, I came from Manchester to try this food will definitely go again, went again 14-2-2022 and again absolutely fantastic food. A pretty decent place to pick up mithai. Not a patch on Delhi in Rusholme and don’t be expecting pedas on the same level as Parsi Dairy in Marine Lines, but it will tick all the boxes. Where they really score are the meal deals, which are brilliant value for money. Most pure vegetarian udipi options are available with the puzzling exception of Idli vada combo. Come to think of it the upma and sheera are also conspicuous by their absence.

I LOVED my little lunch trip out to RK Dining today! The service was delightful; friendly, courteous, attentive and caring, the food was delicious, the other diners also happened to be super friendly and there was just a joyful atmosphere in the restaurant! I also bought some sweets to bring home for my daughter who LOVED the gulab jamun - her first experience of this delicacy! Thank you so much for a delicious thali lunch and a really memorable experience!

This is an absolutely wonderful place to find vegan and vegetarian food. Though I eat meat you don't need it here, the variety and style make it unnecessary. Best Indian food in Preston. Everything is vegetarian which is great. The food is exquisite and so authentic. They have a lot of familiar favourites all executed to the highest level, as well as some interesting street food & dishes I have not heard of before which are also excellent. It is a good Restaurant but problem is that customers need to wait longer to get the food. I have seen even British people walking off from the Restaurant because of long waiting time. It would be better to tell in advance the waiting time while dining.

Take away and restaurant together. Take away has a great range of products both sweet and savoury and you can get a sample of anything to try. Make sure you try the pickles as they are fantastic. Small restaurant has great food and the service was brilliant, both friendly and helpful. All the products are vegetarian, well worth a visit.

Lovely place and the food is amazing.There are special prices between Tuesday to Thursday and they are amazing..Any 2 dosas for just £6 and Vada Pav jist for £3 and any two Chaat for just £6. Love the food and the people.They are very friendly and loving and always treat you with a smile on their face unlike many restaurants around. I am a frequent visitor to this place and its a special thing to go to RK Dining twice in a month.

Vegetarian Indian food, savoury and sweet snacks available. I’m vegan and stopped here for tea (dinner). There was free parking available around the back. The vegan savoury options were delicious and the vegan sweet options were ok. The staff were friendly and happy to help out explaining all vegan options available. There was plenty of choice and the price was extremely reasonable. I got a thali (tray) of 2 curries, a curry sauce, a rice and rotis. I also got a dal wada plus took one of each of the vegan sweets. Altogether, including £1 for takeaway it cost £8.40. In my tray I opted for the chickpea curry which was ok, a cauliflower curry which was spicy and delicious, the pilau rice which was yummy and the curry sauce which was also nice. The rotis were good too. The dal wada was tasty and spicy too! There were a lot more vegetarian choices sweet-wise than vegan, but still there were 6 vegan choices of sweets. I tried them all: 1. Jalebi - tasty but greasy 2. Kaju roll - nice but had silver on the outside and green in the middle which made me feel there were more chemicals and colourings than necessary but apart from that they were ok. 3. Kaju katri, nice and texture of marzipan/icing taste slightly coconut-y, not too sweet. 4. Bundi ladu extremely greasy! 5. Fig and nut praline, ok but greasy. 6. Wasn’t labelled, he said it was ‘kesar’. Similar to kaju katri. I wouldn’t get any of the sweet options again. I would definitely recommend people to come here for savoury food! 5* rating for this. There were plenty of tables if you wanted to eat in.

We came here for lunch twice as there were so many tasty vegan/vegetarian dishes at a very affordable price. There's loads of curries we've not eaten before. Staff were all excellent, very helpful and made an effort to give great service. Very popular with the locals - quite full around lunch time in the seating area, and the take away area was full too. We thoroughly recommend it. Two people in our group keep saying it'd be worth a drive from Manchester to Preston just for this place!

It was okay. Variety of options. We had the masala dosa, pani puri, cheese balls and chips for kids, Manchurian. They were okay but I wish they added more spices to the food for the authentic taste. Ordered pav bhaji too which was very bland but had to return as their was hair in it. Prior to this we wanted the Hakka noodles for my kids, I asked them to not put chilli in it as my kids won’t eat it. They said the suave is pre made so they were unable to give it without the chilli. Wish I did try some because everything else didn’t taste spicy. The two staff members that served us were lovely. It was just a shame to find hair in the food.

Inexpensive, cheerful, tasty vegetarian Indian dining, also with counter for Indian sweets and home-heat meals. Been a few times now. Mixed Indian/non Indian clientele. Can be busy but quite quick service. Menu includes South Indian, other Indian and so-called Indo Chinese dishes. You can get miscellaneous dosas, idlis, chaats. Dishes/courses arrive in no particular order but don't let that worry you. Usually several offers are available. Non alcoholic drinks only. Decor is basic but bright and often noisy with a friendly atmosphere and cheerful staff. Wipe-clean tables.

My hubby came in here while I was at the Chinese takeaway over the road, After eating it all warmed up, at home (he had Samosas, Bahjis and Paratha with yogurt and a Raita dip) He says this food is some of the best he has ever had since his childhood in Rochdale, where he says they also do proper Indian food like this. It's not for the faint hearted though, as I tried some and found it flavoursome but also very very hot, But he loves it and will be returning for more of this fine produce, this is some of the best Indian food in Preston area bar none! Been coming to RK for many years now and it never disappoints. I came to RK on Saturday 12th Feb. The takeaway side wasn't busy but the staff looked confused and I think the old English guy was in charge and had no idea of how to control his staff and was more interested in being on his phone then to serve customers and the service was very slow. Thankfully when I went to DINE IN it felt calm and had such a great vibe even though the restaurant was busy. Big Thanks to Jitesh and Jeremy for looking after me and my wife and taking care of our needs. Absolutely exceptional service from you guys wish the rest of the staff copied you. I decided to pay RK a visit last week after such a long time and I'm glad I did because I missed the beautiful food which was packed full of flavours and the atmosphere was amazing. Only downside was after dining in I decided to take a few things home and got served by a gent who was a bit slow and ended up showing me stuff on his phone while I just wanted to get home and relax also the was a long line of customers waiting to get served and were getting frustrated but then another staff member came out to the front I think called gitesh/jitesh he served everyone fast and efficiently with a great understanding of the business and kept a smile on his face at all times. Really decent place but the quality of the food has gone down recently. Before, the sweets used to be nice and soft like fresh but now the sweets are hard and you can tell it's not fresh. Always amazing food and service. Used to have a shop near my house in Bolton where I used to go couple of times a week and I am so sad it has closed down. Therefore we drive all the way to Preston now to get the food and it is worth every bit. Owner thanked me for my service at the NHS on my visit yesterday and we got 10% discount. I’ll always be going there and it’s my go to vegetarian restaurant. Food is so flavourful and it’s very much affordable.

RK sweets used to be good, and the food was properly priced, but when covid started, they hiked prices, a £3 dosa became £5, and food standards have dropped, the dosas don't have that nice flavour any ore, and the sambhar isnt even sambhar, it's just regular Dal with the vegetables added. Though, your staff is very nice and friendly, you need to pick up your food standards

Absolutely fantastic!!!! I am not veggie or vegan buy my husband is, so rather than the usual one or two dishes to choose from we thought we'd give it a go 💖 absolutely fantastic. Everything was hot and fresh, everything was full of flavour and every dish tasted different. The samosa chaat and the chilli paneer, and the aloo paratha, and the biryani were all out of this world. We ordered noodles that they didn't have, so they knocked it off the bill and threw in the biryani. The delivery driver was really polite and really friendly, order arrived on time and hot from Preston. Don't let the delivery cost put you off as the food is very very reasonable and of an excellent quality You have to try you will not be disappointed. Didn't miss the meat whatsoever! Didn't even spot a single mushroom 😂 thank goodness! I was really worried I wouldnt like much, but this was incredible and hands down the best takeaway we've ever had 💖🙌

The best Indian food in the city and probably beyond. The food here is incredible, you can get two huge thalis and a drinks for 20 quid, I refuse to believe people leave here disappointed. Wonderful vegetarian food with good options for vegans. RK Sweets not only sells fantastic sweets as the name suggests, but also has a cafe where you can enjoy their tasty curries. The curries can also be bought as take-away for heating up at home. These take-away are generally better than you'll get from a regular Indian Take-Away both is quality and in choice offered for veggies/vegans, but also works out cheaper.

I always have the thali set for lunch when I'm working in Preston with a mango lassi. All the food is available for takeout also. We went Saturday evening arriving just after 6pm. We timed it just right as the dining area soon filled and was very busy. We had traditional Thalli served in stainless steel bowls and tray, this had a good variety of food and would have been enough for two people. We also tried the mixed chaat and samosas. These were very tasty. We rounded the meal off with Masala chai. The total was just under £35 for 3 people so not bad for good quality vegetarian food.

Young lady at counter saw me and rushed to me and asked for my order and then proceeded to her original post. 5 mins later, buff food in a bag 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽.
