Unassuming from the outside; I was always told not to trust a pub with a flat roof... Nevertheless, the food was spot on, portions were generous without being ridiculous and the price was very reasonable. Staff were friendly and gave great service. I would highly recommend this place and will come again if I'm ever up this way again.

I'm not keen on going here. The foods okay,it's the dining area I don't like. I feel like I'm in a large cupboard. It's too closed in and you don't get the pub vibe. However my 4 sons and their mates love it here and go all the time!

Was recommended to visit for the Sunday carvery and was not dissapointed. The food was fresh and plentiful, the service was very good and helpful, and great value at £10.95 per head . The Rams Head is primarily a pub serving food, the restaurant room was reasonably furnished with a modest amount of ambience but it clearly has a very competant kitchen. The carvery roasts (beef, turkey breast, & pork) were tender but lacked in flavour, they were augmented by a plethora of accompanying savouries, creamed mushrooms , scampi, onion rings etc etc, the vegitable section was brimming with every possible favourite choice, cabbage , sprouts, carrots, leaks, sweet corn, cauliflower cheese, peas, runner beans, mashed boiled and roast spuds. If you have a good appetite multiple visits to the food fayre table are welcomed making excellent value for the big eater.

Had a very nice teatime buffet after a funeral. Very nicely served up, nice home made soup with sandwiches and steak cut chips. ( at a reasonable cost!) Nice helpful staff who looked after us and coped very well with the forty plus guests. Good selection of cask ales, and 0% alcohol lager available! Recommend highly!

Son and daughter in law brought us here for food - absolutely amazing meals, generous portion size and really nice staff. If only we lived closer we would be in there every week. It's not often I go to a place and look at the menu and think there is a good half a dozen items I could really go for. Will definitely return next time we visit.

Fabulous. At first sight this is an ordinary looking pub but once inside the service is great and the food exquisite. I had a really tasty BBQ burger and gorgeous chips alongside some lovely artisan breads and all at very affordable prices. I've never been here before but I will be back.

We have been here twice in the last 2 weeks and really pleased with the service both times. Same few members of staff anyway. Staff kept masks on and kept their distance. Helped us with chairs and high chair and baby cutlery for my 18 month old which is a rarity but much appreciated. We had desserts to go as we were pretty full but really enjoyed it. It was nice to be able to relax and not cook for a change and whilst out too

Ten of us booked for a Sunday evening family get together. A few of us had the carvery, the standard of which was ok but not half as good as previous visits (pre-covid) however the enjoyment of the evening was tainted by the sour faced unfriendly chef who served it to us, he seriously needs a lesson in customer service!! Needless to say we wont be returning in a hurry.

Absolutely amazing place! Mine and the missus favourite pub food by far. This time it was the lasagna and the Philly cheese steak. Very big portions, everything home made including the chips! What you can't finish you can take home thank god. Can't wait go back!!

We went midweek for lunch and the food and service was amazing so we thought that we would try the Sunday carvery. Table was booked for 4.30 and we were told we had the table til 6 as there was more bookings. On arrival we were told that our table was still been used and was asked to wait in the bar where we were forgotten about. At 5pm when we asked we were shown to our table. Twice we ordered a drink and twice we did not receive it although they both appeared on our bill but were removed when asked. Will not go back on a weekend

Just had a delicious meal delivered as a birthday treat from our daughter and family. We had a chicken jalfrezi with rice and chips, naan bread and dips. I've been here a couple of times, as friends and family raved about it, but I wasn't particularly enamoured. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, but the portion sizes were massive. None of us could clear our plates, and what I had wasn't amazing. The food presentation is great though, and the staff were fine.

Excellent place for a Sunday cavery food was delicious and very reasonable. The staff were all very polite and helpful. We all had the Cavery my had the small plate and we all had the all you can eat which includes a chocolate fountain in the price. For dessert I had the Cookies and Cream cheese cake with cream, my Dad and June had the After eight dinner mint cheese cake one with cream one with icecream and John had the Chocolate Fudge cake with cream all very delicious. This is a charming beautiful pub that does the most unbelievable pub food. Doesn't look much from the outside, but don't judge a book by it's cover!! You have to book a table and there is a waiting list... So expect to wait a week... Boy is it worth it though... Don't eat a lot before you go!
