M. “. c. O.If I could do more than 5 Stars I would. Every time I dine here , perfection. Everything about this restaurant which should be a 3 star Michelin . It is the best dining experience ever. The food is out of this world. Mysore Chilli prawns were beautiful and packed a punch in flavour and taste. If I could eat here every day I would. The atmosphere is spot on all the time . The staff is amazing , friendly and perfect. They cook everything to world class standard. I love everything about this world class restaurant. Thank you to CHAS and ALL OF THE STAFF for a world class birthday and night. We will always remember this night. We will be back.
B. B.Really fantastic meal. Highly recommend the onion bhaji as it is the size of a large burger and incredibly tasty! The mains were all amazing as well and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Definitely need to book as it's very busy.

Haweli is worth more than the 5*s that I can give it... there was nothing I could fault them with, from attentive staff to sparkling glasses & tablecloths... and the food... I can only say that it is superb! You can really taste individual spices & flavours. The lamb & chicken were tender, & the vegetables still firm... a perfect combination. We allowed ourselves to be guided by our waiter, whose suggestions were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the lamb dish (I think Ghost-Ki-Paslian), the sizzling chicken, the Tarka Saag Dal, & the chunky aubergine dish. Popadoms were brought out as we sat down, & were crisp & dry - totally perfect. Already planning or next visit - thank you for a lovely evening.

But what really stands out is the service. Such friendly staff. My wife is 40 weeks pregnant and they treated her like a queen.
This extended to post meal, when it was raining heavily as we left and they organised for their driver to drop us to our car which we'd had to park 5 minutes walk away. Incredible service! Couldn't recommend more highly.

N. H.I ordered my first meal from the Haweli yesterday and was really impressed. The food was cooked perfectly, I had the Classic Madras Snapper which I highly recommend. The establishment was the personification of cleanliness, the service faultless and the ambiance just right. I shall be returning as soon as possible, even though I live 20 minutes away. Five stars.

We were impressed with the 'Covid-safe' measures including disinfected menus and tables are spaced-out then only used once, per meal service.
Authentic decor and ambient surroundings, quality desert menu, hot liqueur coffee!
Wonderful waiting/bar staff who genuinely make you feel welcome so it was another gr8 night out!
M. H.We went for a birthday dinner. Strict social distancing, masks, gloves and hand sanitizer were all observed by all waiters and patrons. The food was amazing and very flavorful. We couldn't stop eating it. The starters and mains looked stunning, rich in colours and tastes. They even brought out a chocolate cake to celebrate my sister's birthday with. Any pictures of the table were taken by our servers. The servers alone are a reason to visit as they were attentive and watched for our every need. Definitely need to visit as we will for takeaway and in-dining needs.

Food is delicious, Haweli never fails to impress! The service is impeccable, and the people are warm and accommodating.
My brother who has spent a lifetime cooking and eating curry said it's probably the best curries he's ever had.
Good for families, date nights, little ones, every occasion.
There's a completely different approach to the way they do things, you can tell the difference when someone takes their craft seriously.
They also look after the little ones very well.
During the lockdown when everyone panic bought all the food I was pretty desperate and ended up placing a large order, something like 7 mains + 7 rice + naan, it came to like roughly £76 and I was like.. hold on a second.. I have 14 meals here, half rice half main. Average price £5.50. That's street food prices but much better quality.
I was profusely thanking them for staying open because well I was struggling to buy food, when Ali said they were told that the hospital workers were putting in double shifts because of COVID and not eating properly or being able to buy food so they were donating meals to the hospital.
I was like... damn you.. right in the feels.....
Like I said earlier, 5 star food, 5 star service, 5 star people.

A. M.I live in central London, but recently revised Haweli for the first time in 15 years with my sister. I found it to be even cleaner and more professionally managed. But it was just as welcoming, the menu was just as creative, and the food was just as delicious as I remember from my earlier regular visits.

S.Previously one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Perhaps a tad pricey but food was very good. Note, "was", as it seems the quality of food has nose-dived in the last couple of months. I can only assume a head chef has departed, and the new guy isn't of the same standard. The service is as good as ever, and all the staff are very friendly, but this doesn't make up for the average food.
Still worth a visit if local, but not worth the trip of you aren't.

R. D.Best curry house in Berkshire! I have been to this curry house countless times and no matter what I try off the menu, the quality, presentation and taste is outstanding. The Sunday Buffet also has a superb variety of dishes. The staff are extrememly polite and attentive. It does get busy so I always book when eating in.

HOWEVER I had ordered twice as a take away recently and although there was a minor confusion over a recent delivery order the way the made up for it speaks volumes about their continued AMAZING service. I cannot fault the food and as ever when things wobble their customer service is astounding. Thank you Haweli you have secured my business for a long time yet.

B. H.We love a good Indian meal, and having lived in London and across the home counties for the last 20yrs we're good at sniffing out the best Indian restaurant in the area. Sometimes you're picking the best of a bad bunch and other times you're spoiled for choice. In Twyford there's some stiff competition but Haweli is hands down the best, in fact its up there with some of the places that charge twice as much in London. We get delivery 9 times out of 10 but have eaten in also. The food whether take away or dine in is absolutely delicious, no ghee is used and they cater very well for people with a gluten intolerance. Even when heating up leftovers the next day there's no oil on the top of the dish and even after stuffing yourself it never leaves you feeling too bloated or uncomfortable. Absolutely love the food here, and the staff are a decent bunch also. Cant recommend highly enough.

Myslef and my companion just could not relax while there were 4-5 staff members hovering about, and ours and someone else's dishes floating just a few inches over our heads. The food itself was inconsistent at best, while my dish was okay, my partner's biryani was so under flavoured, that it was completely bland. We will not be returning to this restaurant
D. G.For a very small town, Twyford is extremely well endowed with restaurants, of which the Hawelli is the poshest Indian offering. If you like white tableclothes, oversized wine glasses and uniformed waiters, this should be right up your street. Not really a venue for a romantic meal but maybe one to impress a date. If, however, you are in search of authentic, Indian Sub continent fare you might be a little disappointed but then I don't know where you will find that in this part of Berkshire. The Haweli certainly tries to punch above its weight in the style category but, since having a major makeover a few years ago, the quality of it's food has dropped somewhat. True, the meat quality is still good but the cooking can be a little unimaginative.
What I can say, however, is that the restaurant is very welcoming and you are sure to be made to feel a valued customer. Come back a few times and you will be greeted like an old friend. I can't fault them for service, or trying to get it right. Come to think of it, I can't really fault them for too much at all :)

I also felt the staff weren't overly interested in anything other than turning the tables around quickly despite the slow service, perhaps one is to compensate the other. My number 3 choice in Twyford for Indian food.
R. S. V.I booked a table in the afternoon for that evening. I was well received on the phone. I arrived 5 mins before my stated time. I was welcomed in a warm manner and within minute shown to my table at the back of the hotel in a conservatory. The decor in the hotel is of a good quality. The conservatory possesses a transparent roof which looked beautiful on a particular hot summer day. Service is good, food tastes yummy. The only down side is as people feel up on the other tables, one can notice there is hardly any space between two tables which is quite a dampener of the overall experience.
Will I go again - off course, only I would avoid the conservatory or if I can't then secure the middle table in it.

M. P.My first visit and I'm well impressed; some of the most tangy, tastiest Indian style food I have *ever* eaten. Service was super-attentive, all staff very polite indeed.
They offer a varied menu with the usual well-known options alongside a selection of specialities. My main course of achari gosht felt so very individually prepared, each ingredient recognised by taste, texture, fragrance, and of course sight. A gastronomic delight!
Despite the (in hindsight rather funny 🙂) way that one waiter nearly set fire to a section of the bar, I'm not dropping any stars for that. Be careful next time guys!
Easy to reach, just 5 mins walk from the mainline rail station. I promise to return!

I live in the area and eat here very regularly, when the regulars include the UK's Home Secretary Theresa May, and Peter Jones from Dragons Den then it can't be too bad! There are many Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in Marlow/Beaconsfield/Henley area and this place pulls our friends in from all those areas - a class act.

firstly we were greeted like old friends. they still have fresh linen and the room we were in wasnt cramped even tjo' it was full.
wr just had msin dishes rice n a fresh nan but the pickle with the poppadoms was fab.
i had the madras snapper which was the best madras ive had since leaving reading! the rice was fluffy the nan so fresh and tasty. my wife has the chicken and hers was great too but too much quantity eise so wr adkef for a doggy bag.
all in all if you live near the hawelli your lucky estate agents should brag about houses in a 20mile radius "the hawelli is just down the road'.
