I love how cozy and home-like feeling. I ordered the shed clube sandwich and chocolate cake. The cake is very decetant and moist in a very yummy way. The sandwich is fresh sourdough. Crunchy outside, soft inside. A well-cut chicken. At least an inch thick. Crisp iceberg lettuce. Juicy tomato slices. Seasoned like mad with salt and pepper. I decided to add eggs to it, and what a perfect decision that was. It was a really delicious sandwich. A high recommendation.

Superb independent cafe close to the station. Do not go to the chain cafes, you must come here!! Fantastic coffee, delicious breakfast and a really unique, funky setting. Highly recommend.

Went in for a quick bite with friends after collecting them from the train station. Absolutely brilliant service, and the sandwiches were delicious. The coffee was great and there were as many milk options as you could want. We managed to get seating indoors which was quite cosy, but not too cramped. Will happily call this a new favourite in town for a bite before heading out anywhere.

One of the best toasties I've ever had! Went here after looking up 'best places for lunch in Reading' when visiting from Oxford and seeing this place mentioned a few times. I had the top toastie to take away and ate it on my journey home, it was so good! The fillings were tasty and plentiful and the sourdough was great, and not too hard like it sometimes can be. Will be back to Reading soon just for another lunch here!

Only been here once .ordered the chocolate vegan cake and a cappuccino.have to say quite impressed .the cake moist and Gooey just perfect and the cappuccino silky and just right. Decent prices too.will.definalty come here again and try out their menu !

I had breakfast here this morning. I tend to go for a traditional English but they don't do one here so I ordered the eggs and kimchi and my wife, the scrambled eggs, mushrooms and avocado. The food was exceptional. I shall be returning. R & M, Reading.

Best coffee in town! Yummy breakfast, I loved the Shed Special salad, very filling! Clean and safe for social distancing, visors and masks by the staff. The coffee was just amazing! And they`ve done it with Oatly milk! I also liked them being environmentally conscious. Highly recommend it, I will be back!

Fabulous coffee. Opted for salmon and egg breakfast. Had to wait as they ran out of capers. Nearly said "don't worry" but kicked back and waited. Worth the wait. Would recommend on the coffee alone. Good vegetarian options. Don't come looking for a full English. Recommended.

Really nice experience here. I had the soup of the day- v nice! The whole place is decorated well and has a good atmosphere. Staff were friendly too! Soup seemed expensive at over £4 but I guess there was a relatively large volume. Woukd recommend

I don't even know how to start... It's so different than the other coffee shops in Reading! They have personality and great food in a cosy space with a very nice service! They don't have loud music so you can have a cuppa while read/study without disturbance. The "tuna turner" toastie is amazing! You can really see that everything is made with love and care. Can't recommend enough!

Very good cafe with sandwiches freshly made for you. It's tucked away down a side street so I thought it might not have many customers but it was pretty busy at lunchtime and there seemed to be a lot of regulars so obviously very popular. One of the best quaint places I've ever been to. It's nice and intimate with great service and food. Everything looked so nice and I was actually surprised by the real mint tea, I was expecting a tea bag. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. If I wasn't on a diet, I would have got a piece of cake. I absolutely loved it.

Brilliant place to go to for lunch with some great vegan options. The coronation chickpea is delicious. The staff are very friendly and they make the sandwiches to order right in front of you so you know they're fresh. We go here a couple of times a week and they offer a loyalty card stamp for orders over £5 so that you get you 10th sandwich free.

The service was good, they were friendly and helped with adapting my order. They had run out of an ingredient but offered an alternative when you ordered. Prices ranged from about £4 upwards, staying in would add about a 50p charge to the price too. The atmosphere is cosy and rustic. There's a large seating area upstairs and there was a range of people from us on a lunch break, to a business meeting to friends catching up. It's quirky and unique too. The food itself was great, the bread is fresh and delicious, the chicken was amazingly flavoured too. The Brie, bacon and cranberry toasted ciabattas were enjoyed by my colleagues too. There is also water downstairs for you to help yourself to. Would visit again!
