I walked in today annoyed, hot and grumpy. I won't lie, I was short with the greeting staff and for that I can only apologise. However, they were very professional, and we were seated quickly. My server asked how I was and I told him we were hot and bothered and hadn't had a great day - long journeys and difficulty navigating the Reading one way systems. 🙄 He added an extra cookie to my milkshake and was very kind and attentive. Before I left ( after tipping - because people that don't tip good service are terrible ) he brought over a piece of cake and said he hoped I would get to enjoy it on the way home and that my day would improve. I left almost tearful that my terrible start ended with such a nice experience. Thank you so much

Excellent service, very attentive staff, but not ‘in your face’ so to speak. I was impressed by their Covid precautions, all staff were wearing masks (pre the recent change) and all tables and chairs were sanitised after being used. Vegetarian menu could be better, but still very good.

We Love it here. Our last visit was a little more noisy that I'd like as they had a slightly out of control female there who kept leaping up and screaming after too many 'sherberts'. 🥂 I could see her, so everytime she did it was a total shock and it set my PTSD off. I was a bag of nerves. Our waitress, Shannon, was amazing. Sympathetic to my needs she reassured me and the next thing I know......no more screaming. Who knows what happened but I'm thankful I was able to enjoy as always. My family and I will be back. 🍔🥗🍟🍹🥰

Overpriced and tacky. Could do with a whole makeover. Gets two stars for the lovely staff who works wonders in this dark building. Food is average at best. Will give it a go again and update if its better. Will try the new Beyond Meat burger and the Nachos. Nachos are a favourite but done badly makes me sad. TGI made me sad on last four occasions. As my gran would say "i didnt like your grandfather but for some reason i kept going back, maybe thinking he would get better. Eventually he did" Thats my hope for this place. One day with some money and a decent menu it will be more like the Hard Rock.

Staff are really friendly. The food is what you might expect from a T.G.I restaurant. If you have not been to one, it is generally okay; I would recommend the ribs. The Jack Daniels sauce is generally quite nice as well. *Edit Went recently and the food has gone down hill quite a bit, if it wasn't for the hot dog being quite nice and the staff being brilliant I would have put it down to 2 or even 1 star. The chicken fajita was terrible, probably the worst chicken I've eaten in recent memory. The onion rings were oily and bland, the sesame chicken has been changed and the nachos have also both been cheapened.

Jenna and her team where absolutely fantastic in all aspects of our celebratory meal. Service was excellent, food was amazing, cocktails were brilliant. Hats off to the professional way they handle guests with dietary and alergin requirements. To know that this TGI's have a designated allergins service area that dealt with all food and drinks for the guest with these requirements, was a load off my mind. We went to TGI fridays tonight it wasn’t the best TGIs experiences I have ever had.We had the most wobbly table ever we asked to move they didn’t there were loads of tables and there was a really wobbly chair.The food was nice though.

This place is a pretty good, went there today with my boy. Was sat quickly by some very polite staff and a beautiful blonde waitress. Nothing but polite, very quick service. Always there if you needed something else from them. Food was as good as chips and a burger can get.

I took a group of my students with additional needs here for an end of school year treat this week to celebrate how well they had all done during such a difficult school year, and honestly the TGI Fridays team were AMAZING. SO helpful and supportive of our students and did everything they could to accommodate them. They did their best to seat us in a quieter section of the restaurant away from others as a number of our students struggle with groups on unknown people, they made sure to lower the overhead music for our students with sensory sensitivities, and made sure to frequently check in with me to make sure our group was okay and if there was anything they can do - and all this on the first day of restrictions being lifted when EVERYONE was trying to get out for a meal! Absolutely wonderful - can't compliment them any higher really. Thank you so much to the team for being a supportive part of our local community! We have NEVER managed to have this particular group succeed at going out for a meal together without issues, but they all had such a wonderful time and all went home very happy!!! We will definitely be back in the future.

TGI's have improved massively since I last went. There was no cue, they were so good with the kids saying little things like calling them "princesses". The food was excellent. The service was amazing, any time you needed anything they were there. It was clean, which is a big thing due to Covid. I felt that everything was safe. I'd definitely visit again!

TGI in Caversham Reading is a great place for a celebratory meal. The service is great they really do look after you. The food is American inspired but always well cooked and presented with a generous portion though not massive. If your booking for a birthday tell the team when you book that way they'll be ready to present you with balloons, cake and a song. We love this place and throw in free parking at this location for a great time.

We ordered via click and collect, the website side of things was very easy but collection could be improved. When you arrive you have to call to let them know you've arrived but when we called, we were on hold for a while but then we were hung up on. We'd ordered to collect at 7pm and didn't actually get our food until gone 7:30, there was writing on the bag saying 7:05 and you could tell the food had been sat around for a while as everything was luke warm and the mozzarella dippers had gone all limp. I probably wouldn't order collection again, considering the food is priced pretty much the same as before lockdown, the quality and experience was a bit of a let down. You could tell the staff were trying their best but I imagine understaffed.

TGI's has a bit of a reputation for groups and kids birthday meals, but it's actually perfect for a delicious lunch for 2 and often not too busy during daytimes. Make sure to have Jack Daniel's sesame chicken somewhere in your meal and you won't be disappointed. It used to be a starter, but was so popular they turned it into a main.

Takeaway service was great, ironically the food tasted far better when we got the takeaway (because of the pandemic they weren't open for sitting in) than when we used to eat in. Sadly some of the menu options weren't available but that's to be expected at the moment. The food we did order was amazing and the order process was very simple and easily explained. However no phone number was given in the email so you had to find it yourself, bit weird, considering ringing the restaurant was one of the steps you had to take.

There were about 15 chips and they were cold. The seasonal veg, although cooked quite nicely was stone cold. Free parking. A little tight for wheelchair users to be going in. The front of house person was very kid we got seated within 5 minutes. Me and my partner went here on Tueaday 11th August 2020. We do love a TGI Friday. This particular day, the waitress that served us who normally works at the other reading store, i believe her name was Sophia, what faultless. She was so helpful always checked to make sure we was ok and made sure that our food was ok too. We had the refill drinks and she even asked if we wanted another drink. She was so helpful and her customer service skills was a very very high standard and faultless. I hope this gets forward onto the manager and Sophia herself.

Went for dinner tonight with my partner and baby, we had to leave even before ordering drinks because our baby was screaming and we went outside for at least 20 minutes. The manager, Georgia P, came outside and asked us if we were okay and wanted any drinks while we was outside, we then asked if they had somewhere quieter for us to sit which was out the way just in case our baby went off on one again (she has a time where she will scream for about an hour every day for no reason at all) to which she said she could turn off all the music on the upstairs seating area which was actually closed to customers, and we then went and had a lovely meal in peace. She kept coming over to ask if we were okay and had everything, was extremely pleasant and very helpful. She definitely deserved her £10 tip and we will return again when we are passing, great service and great food!

A relatively nice place to pop by for lunch or dinner as a family. Its a little bit away from the centre of Reading, but easiliy accessible from the Main road. Some of the choices we wanted weren't available, but they happily offered extras or a reduction in the bill. Let's be honest, TGI are not cheap, but although mainstream, they're not a typical Fast Food restaurant either (which is a good thing). Bit embarrassing to have to endure the 'Birthday' songs in the typical US style eatery, just like F&B's, but hey some people like that, so that's only my opinion. Not an every day treat, but nice for a change.

What a cracking example of this restaurant chain this truely is. We were greated the door with a smile by a very well mannered doorman before being introduced to our server. Quickly seated at a table for 2 with menus and drink on route. Drinks arrived very quickly and we were left to order no rushing about no pressure like there can be in other restaurants. Once ready we ordered our meals. What we ordered; 2 classic cheeseburger meals with loaded Mario fries. And I've got to say it arrived 15-20 minutes after ordering it was piping hot but most of all it was absolutely amazing. The best meal I've had from a TGI period. The burger wasn't over done to dryness it was still juicy very tasty and the Mario fries..... I can't even talk about them without my mouth watering they are amazing. Very accomadatinf picky eaters too the Mrs hates lettuce and the burger arrived with none as requested and I hate all salad (yes I dodge it like the plague) and mayo and as requested there wasn't a scrap of it to be seen. If you want extra special service pray your server is Rhys what an upbeat and happy lad he is you can genuinely tell he truely loves his job and enjoys working in the hospitality sector all to often you'll hit a big chain restaurant and all the staff appear miserable but not here Rhys made us feel that extra bit awesome about our visit so props to him for that! In summary an awesome visit and a well earned 5 stars fantastic food fantastic staff fantastic service. Oh and everything 2 meals and 2 drinks.... All under £34 and to me that represents decent value too!

Food was nice but service was lacking. After watching our drink sit on the bar for 15 minutes we eventually went and grabbed it ourselves. The mains came out while we were still eating our starters, dirty plates and glasses weren't cleared away at any point...our starter plates were still on the table as we left. We were charged for a more expensive drink than what we were given and had to point this out when we paid. There was a staff change over half way through and the second lot seemed a lot more on the ball but by the point we had already been let down. Been to other TGIs where the staff were a lot better, maybe less time dressing up for their 30th birthday and more time concentrating on customers would help!

Lovely food! Jack Daniels sauce is lush! Quite busy but great service. Lots of noise on a busy Friday night so not for anyone wanting a quiet meal. We enjoyed the atmosphere! Easy free parking in the car park just down the road. It felt safe with security patrolling the streets outside.

It's "Ok" which is a assume what the design is set up to achieve. The staff are polite and friend and the potion sizes are large, the food is bland and uninspired. Worst hot sauce I've ever had, mild heat with zero flavour. Cocktails are standard, uninspired and basic, thankfully they avoid the current obcession with Gin. If you want a filling family meal, it will do the job but at a price that is more than it is worth.

Love this place. Even though it can be a bit hit and miss. The atmosphere and staff are great. Service is good and food comes out fairly quickly. This place was refurbished a couple of years ago and it still looks good. They have a good selection of cocktails on the menu or you can go off menu where they have a book of 500 cocktails. We attended TGI Fridays on Saturday 7th December, and the service was outstanding...The member of staff Christina who was looking after us (all 9 of us) for the evening was amazing, she made sure we had everything we needed kept us updated on our order and made us feel extremely relaxed and we wasn’t felt rushed in any way shape or form....It was a meal for my sons 21st and he loved the ballon hat and got embarrassed when they sang happy birthday but he loved it really!! Thank you TGI FRIDAYS for a great evening and a big thank you to Christina she is a great asset to your business Food was delicious and have no complaints at all

The food here is nice and the staff are friendly and always willing to accommodate requests. However, for me, it's a bit too busy and loud. Whilst it is a great place to go with a big group, it's probably not an ideal place to go if you want a nice quiet evening with a partner.

Very lively place with good service. Very wide selection of American with some Mexican dishes. I ordered the Tomahawk Steak, as it's a rare opportunity to be able to have a 30oz Ribeye. The meat was cooked very well, according to my request (medium rare) and came out delicate and pink with little or no blood. The sides were perfectly acceptable, though nothing above and beyond what you would expect. I felt the restaurant was a little pricey if you don't pick the deals and a £15 meal can easily become a £50 meal with a couple of drinks and extras. That said, it's possible to get a reasonably priced meal.

Meal for 8 of us, 6 had 3 course, 2 had 2 course and no problems with food at all. Hot and TGI tasty! Only reason for not giving 5 stars was the wait time. We were there 2.45hrs in total!

Music so loud the waitress had to keep repeating herself, plates so hot that the dips congeal making honey mustard and JD pots the consistency of jelly and steaks that looked like they'd been left a bit too long (but hard to tell as the lighting is so dim). Great memories of the chain, but this particular branch has never been up there with some of the others.

Would have given them a 3 but gave a 4 because of there new allergy policy. My daughter is allergic to sea food and I worry every restaurant we go to but TGI Fridays manager personally come to our table and asked about the l allergy's and said her food would be cooked separately from evebodys food and will be brought to the table separately by the head chef. Not to mention she was give a different straw as the normal ones contained shellfish.

First time we waited 40+ minutes for drinks, and over an hour for food (which came out wrong) and then asked for the manager, waited 30 minutes for them not to show so we walked. Second time, food was great but yet again service was terrible. I don't know if they are under staffed or just all out the back being lazy. If you go to this restaurant expect a long wait! 3 stars for the fries!

Plenty of alternatives in and around Reading for large groups/party bookings. No idea why you'd go here just as a couple...!
