Another gorgeous sunday roast at The Bull @ Arborfield. Smiling attentive waiting staff, roast pork done to perfection, perfect everything, roasties delicious and the chef is a gravy genius - dunno what he does but all his gravy regardless of the dish is tasty and the perfect consistency. My hubby had the beef which again perfection. My other favourite is the lamb shank, always a dilemma for me which to have but I'm never disappointed. I also have a couple of serious food allergies, which the chef and waiting staff take equally seriously, the Bull @ Arborfield has never made me ill, great food, great service, which is why we keep coming back. My favourite restaurant hands down!!

Brilliant restaraunt! Lovely food and exceptional service .We ate at the Bull at Arborfield as a 3 generation family and they were accommodating and wonderful. The restaraunt is very accessible for mobility difficulties and staff are warm and friendly. Local suppliers are used, including local ale. Bruno, the owner is great character, making the evening fun. The whole family loved their meals. 5 stars from us, Thank you, we will be back!

Had a lovely meal tonight. The first time taking my mum out for over a year, along with my brother, sister & their other halves. What can I say about this place. Staff are so friendly. Food is out of this world. You get the sense that the people here really care about the business they have. Do not give this place a miss. Pre book just to be sure you get a table as was really busy when we came. Portions are massive as well so make sure you wear something with an elastic waistband!!!

This is my favourite restaurant of all time. I totally love it. The good is excellent and plenty of it reasonably priced. Service is excellent and the staff are always polite and very helpful. Visited the pub on a pleasant summer Sunday afternoon in April 2012. I was greeted by the owner in a very delightful manner. Then shown to our table. I took the local beer, however it must have been refilled only moments before as it wasn't cold! The food choice for vegetarians is limited but still better than some of the other pubs I have visited. Food tastes absolutely delicious, overall a very good pub.

Went there on a Sunday with a friend and the intention of a nice evening in the garden, Bought a round of drinks at 9pm and was told that was our last as they where closing. when I asked why, the barman snapped "because we have been open... Three weeks after and three emails and endless calls just to get a response from them.. and nothing.

We will not return, could not even cook a basic steak, it was covered in a sauce and the steak was raw, my husband had finished his meal and mine had not even been served, staff were belligerent and could not understand why we would want to eat our food together. The table next to ours also complained as they thought their fish tasted funny. Don't waste your time and money, go elsewhere.

I don't understand the critical reviews at all, given my experience of eating here. We have been to The Bull many times in the past three years, for lunchtime and evening meals. At no time has our experience been anything less than superb. The menu caters to many different tastes, the standard is high and the service have always been exceptional. We have always felt welcome and very well looked-after. We visited for lunch today and between us ordered tuna steak (cooked to perfection), roast beef, chicken a la crème and breaded fish for my 3 1/5 year-old daughter. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Afterwards I had a seasonal offering from their specials menu: poached pear in white wine with pistachio ice cream - quite the most delicious pudding I have had in a long time. The Bull is often busy, but always has a friendly atmosphere (no doubt due to the excellent food and service). It is ideal for a family lunch or an evening meal. Don't be put off by the negative reviews. I have absolutely no hesitation in giving The Bull 5 stars!

Having booked a table for 3 for 6.00p.m. for a celebration, we arrived to discover that although we were the ONLY customers in the restaurant we were shown to a very small, cramped, table which we had to squeeze into (my husband is 6' 2"). We told the waitress that we wanted to move to another table, and were met by complete hostility. After being served drinks we were informed that we couldn't remain at our chosen table, and that we would have to move back despite still being the only people in the restaurant. The atmosphere was so unwelcoming that we paid for our drinks and left. Will not be recommending to friends and colleagues. -Mrs S Slater

We really enjoyed the visit to The Bull Inn in Arborfield. The staff is very polite and helpful. The portion size for the mains is quite big and you can skip the starter if you are not very hungry. Taste of the food is excellent. The grilled salmon and chicken with mushroom and stilton sauce was very good as was the Rum and raisin ice cream and mango tart with coconut ice cream. We will definitely visit again. Only piece of advice is that the pub gets booked very fast and last minute bookings are not available on weekends. So please book in advance.
