Let me start on the positive note. The location of this Wagamama is absolutely stunning! Just next to the river and has a wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant has a large area to eat inside and out, which is also great. The cleanliness of the place was outstanding. The staff was very attentive and friendly. However the management team seemed a bit abusive towards the staff. And the rice in our meal was really quite over cooked. I think this is something that shouldn’t be overlooked.

We went for a casual family dinner, they don’t take bookings so we turned up and waited outside for about 15 minutes. They handed out little cups of green tea to people waiting which I thought was a good idea. Once inside they ushered us into a table (we felt so lucky to get proper seats instead of the benches with no back support) and provided us menus (new all vegan menus take way problems of wondering which dishes we can have) Our waiter Adam was very helpful and patient with requests for customisation and credit to him/chefs that the food was as requested despite the restaurant being busy. Drinks arrived soon and the food started arriving in about 10 minutes. There was a nearly 10 minute wait between first and last dishes which isn’t great for a family dinner. The food was great and the quantity was sufficient. My son loved him ramen noodles (with the massive ladle to eat it with), we also had the katsu curry with rice (love the sticky rice) and yasai pad thai. The “positive juice” my wife ordered was refreshing so I wish I chose that instead. As a no-frills dining experience (no bookings, benches for seating, pay on mobile) I would say it is quite expensive so we won’t be frequenting it but a good place to go from time to time.

It’s truly delicious 😋 We have really enjoyed our meal here and it was a good and unique experience over all. The service was good however we had to wait for a bit till we were seated 🪑 however after we have ordered, the food 🥘 came quickly but it was all at once; like the starter and the main were on the table at the same time. Maybe it’s not a big of a deal but I feel for a restaurant such is Wagamama it’s not up to standard. The food was very flavourful and you get what you pay for ( the portions were quite big) unlike other places. However my only complain is the limited vegan and vegetarian 🌱 options in this place I wish if they had more options. But the overall experience was good and this branch in Reading is quite good 👍🏼. I recommend coming here.

I thought the food was flavourful, prices seem fair, and great customer service. I went with two other people, and although this style of restaurant is not my favourite (sharing big tables with other groups, bit dark, and quite loud) I have to say that I appreciated the time the staff were able to give me. I have a lot of specific allergies that aren't all part of the 14 most common (or whatever it is), but the staff were able to accommodate this by checking all of the ingredients of the items I wanted, as well as making sure that my food was prepared separately.

Food Quality 3/5 We had the ramen chicken teriyaki donburi It was good. Alot of flavour but not as spicy as I wanted it to be as I asked for it to be extra spicy. Portion size 2/5 Ratio of chicken to rice is like 1:5 (at kokoro its 1:1 ratio) and not much noodles. In Phö you can get extra noodles for free but you have to pay for more at wagamama. Value for food 1/5 The large juice is 4.95£ when boost juice is 3 minute walk away, cheaper and larger portion Considering the portion sizes of the food it should be cheaper. Cleanliness: 5/5 Service 4/5 Very friendly service but too attentive. Sometimes you just want to order and eat in peace. Vibe: 5/5 Good music, lighting and interior design.

My favorite go-to place. Their ramen grilled chicken noodle is a must order for me. The broth is always delicious. The chicken is always tender. The noodles are very slurp-worthy. I usually don't order any other dish with it since it is a big bowl, but if I did, I would order their gyoza. It's packed with flavor, and the taste won't disappoint. I don't usually eat desert, but their orange chocolate cake is to die for along with their homemade vanilla Ice-Cream.I love their staff. They are fast and prompt. I would highly recommend noodle lovers to try this place.

I went here during covid. Ordered the firecracker. Was disappointed. The chicken was chewy and had a rubber texture, it barely had any food on the plate and it had no resemblance of the previous good orders I had in 2019. However I had chicken gyoza and that was very flavourful which I liked. The gyoza changed this review from 2 stars to 3 stars. Probably would not come here again.

I feel compelled to write a review of how wonderfully child-friendly all the staff were on an early Friday evening a few weeks ago. Myself and a friend took our three babies for an early dinner and they caused absolute carnage with their noodles over the edge of their high chairs but they couldn't have been nicer about it. It made it such a relaxing experience for a change, eating out with babies! Thank you!

I honestly would find it hard to fault anything about the service, food or the establishment in general. But, when a meal with a side and a drink costs the same as a week's shopping its really hard to give a positive review, especially for what is ostensibly very basic food.

Vegan section menu but so overpriced! Maybe it's because I don't eat out that often but I found the food to be 'ok'. For vegan food, just a few vegetables and herbs in a soup bowl with a few pieces of tofu will set you back just as much as a meat dish. Staff were great though!

Some dishes take too much time. I knew their whenever ready on the table system but this time my ramen noodle and banana katsu took forever and others had long finished ready to go except we were still waiting for my last dish to be served. Always a good safe eat in Reading, usually there isn't a queue but be careful when going at the busiest peak times. Would highly recommend the chilli squid and duck gyozas :) Table seating is tight so don't be shocked when you are almost sharing your meal with the couple next to.you.

What a restaurant. From our first point of contact to our last, the staff were amazing. We had a slight issue due to an allergy. Once again the staff were quick to respond and resolve the issue(nothing major). Was only looking for an apolog, yet got much more. If you have dietary requirements, I highly recommend Wagamama. They probably take this more seriously than you do yourself. Will certainly be coming again. This was my first visit and I can't fault the place.

Love the food at this place. The staff is very friendly. It is located at the entrance of the mall if you park on the main road. I usually order Raisukaree and it is absolutely delicious. Packaging of the food is also fairly good with all ingredients separate so you don’t have to worry about it being spoilt by the time you get to eat it.

Went there for a mate's birthday this weekend. The main (Pad Thai) was okay but the menu was not up to my taste to be honest. The service at wagamma's is most definitely outstanding a cut above competitors. I have a prawn allergy the attention I received was exceptional. My order was only taken by the manager. My grandchildren's favourite restaurant my wife and I enjoy it too. As always every one knew what they to eat. I take care of ordering the starters to share. The service is casual yet it's very friendly and helpful. When ever we have our grandchildren visiting us, we don't think twice, it is always Wagamama !

Good food and friendly staff. The only downside is it's always busy in the evenings and specially during weekends, so be prepared if you must eat at Wagamama. Not that baby friendly due to style of seating, unless you book a table at the corner that has space for baby pushchair. Food is consistently good as you would expect from a well established chain. I only recommend a very few handful of restaurants(London brasserie, Cote, Comptoir Libanais) in Reading town centre, this is one of them.

Normally love Wagamama but this one was disappointing. Service was very slow, although the server himself was very friendly. This makes me think maybe it was a management problem and that more staff should have been on. The food was sub-par for normal Wagamama as well, seemingly much more watery than usual. Also lots of tiny insects flying around which isn't good for a restaurant!

Eating here is an experience! The dimmed lighting and cosy furnishings go so well together. The staff are very attentive and really friendly. One waitress even informed me of the authentic way to eat ramen. It was my first Wagamama, and I shall definitely be back when I visit Reading again. The food comes out at a good speed, and is very yummy and filling. No room for dessert!

I really like Wagamama. I think the food is really really good. They are very consistent with their food as well. The interior and vibe is nice however I wouldn’t go for a classy dinner here. I would say this is more shopping lunch or a lazy date night. Sometimes it can be slightly over crowded at times and the benches don’t always help this. Overall I think the experience is very good. I’ve also had Wagamamas on Deliveroo and it was really good still!

First time back after the refit of the restaurant. Much better feel in the inside. On the other hand the food was alway excellent but yesterday it was not great at all. Steak was tough and still frozen in the middle and my wifes rice dish was lacking sauce. It felt way to rushed and this is causing food that is not cooked. The love is gone. Also the kids menu was not really for kids. The sauce that came with the cod cube was way too spicy.

I came in a Wednesday and there was always someone waiting at the door to be seated so it's very popular. They have a great variety of food with noodles, Bao buns. Ramen. Pad Thai and more! The food is brought out in a random order as they don't do entres etc. They bring the food our whenever it's ready. I had the wagamama ramen which was filling and had good ingredients but it was lacking flavor. I also had the pork and apple bao buns which were amazing however a little on the small side. I would go again and try a noodle dish as they looked fab.

I would have put 4 stars for the food....really good, with fresh ingredients....the only problem is the the plate are not served at the same time in order...I had my plate served , 5min after the one of my wife and then we had the starters....I mean if you call that a starter there is a reason to it right...this should come first...anyway food was good but the way they are ruling the restaurant need to be slightly different...
