Reviews of Wendy’s

My first Wendy's for many years and it has changed. The burger was OK and the fries were good. The soft drink was from a serve yourself machine that you see in many places nowadays. When we went in we had to post someone in the middle of the dining area ready to pounce on an empty table. Tables were not cleaned between use.

Pros:
1. Fast food indeed. Took 1 minute to get our order for 5 people. Wow!
2. Yummy burgers. Can compete with Burger King. Tastes fresh.
3. They have options for chips. With cheese, bacon or chili. It was good too.
4. Frosty is the best. Yummers. Must come back soon.
5. Gobsmack in the middle of the town centre.
Loads of parking nearby.
6. Clean toilets.
7. Lovely friendly staff.
Con:
1. Reading branch is not that spacious.
Will definitely come back again.

Can safely say that I really enjoyed Wendy’s.. I ordered the Baconnator - omg it was so good!! The meat inside was delicious - slightly on the messy and salty side, but was phenomenal. I also ordered the chicken nuggets, you DEFINITELY have to go for the 8 piece because 4 definitely isn’t enough. They were so so crispy and delicious. The fries felt like skin on fries, different from KFC, McDonald’s or BK, was pleasantly surprised with them. ALSO their Milkshakes are great - wouldn’t really call it a milkshake though, it’s served with a spoon and kind of like a dessert. Overall, the service was fast, Team members knowledgeable and smiling, I asked for extra sauce and was given as many as I wanted, the environment was clean, I like the new style screens, I like the Five Guys style drink dispensers and best of all, the price was definitely reasonable!! I’m so excited to see them grow this amazing brand within the U.K. WELCOME WENDYS 🇬🇧

Very nice place to eat service is very fast and workers are very helpful and accommodating.
fries 🍟 taste amazing ✨
What I recommend the most is the chocolate frosty ☃️ however the vegan bites are not good at all.
I wish if they had more vegan 🌱 and vegetarian 🌱 options tho.
It’s a nice clean place with limited seating place which makes it quite less crowded compared with other fast food places
It’s suitable for families with kids where they provide very fun toys 🧸 with children meals.

The staff were friendly and professional. Order arrived relatively fast given it was quite busy. The burger although was well put together and tasty overall, however was personally more on the salty side.

Travelled a 100 miles round trip to eat at Wendy's, and it was a disappointment. The burger is far smaller than the original US versions I remember, or indeed the burgers served 20 years ago when Wendy's were last in the UK. A Baconator with just two pieces of bacon! Is that correct?
Prices are 'competitive' compared to their competition but at the cost of quantity and alas now quality. Wendy's claims they are 1000% better than their competitors. But, after eating Dave's triple, I had to order another burger... Triple or not, the burgers are on the small side, and therefore the cost is relatively high.
I had the Chilli con Carne, and this was tasty and as I remembered. However, the provided crackers were typical and not the tiny salted crackers I remember.
The restaurant was busy at the time of visiting, so there was a 15-minute wait for food and a further wait for a table to become available. In a queue for the drinks machine (one was out of order), the working machine had issues pressing the non-responsive touch screen. Being in the middle of a pandemic, it would have been more Covid-safe if a staff member was making the screen soda selection rather than potentially contaminated hands from every customer!
The location of this restaurant is very central but travel via car is, shall we say, challenging. The seating area is too small for such a high profile first flagship restaurant. I would suggest that the steps in the restaurant are very poorly designed and as such a trip hazard. Wheelchair access would be difficult too.
I also remember the self-service salad bar in their restaurants, and this has gone. In my opinion, a real shame since this set Wendy's apart from their competitors.
I very much hope they will look at their operational issues as they build across the UK. .

First time over ever been to a Wendy’s. The service here at this one was really good the staff was helpful and polite.
In terms of the food, I had the baconator. Comparing to other fast food burger restaurants this was much better than McDonald. Although the burger did need more sauce.
The price point was also okay I’d say somewhere in the middle of McDonalds and Five Guys
A. C.
Very tasty food, with quality exceeding that of other fast food restaurants. Vegetables in the burgers were fresh and crisp, and fries were crunchy and fluffy. The inside of the restaurant is clean and modern.
It's also quite similar to its US division, so we're not getting a very watered-down version of the real thing. Great to have Wendy's here.
Only complaints are that the menu can only be seen when you're at the front of the order queue, so expect it to be a bit slow-moving.
G. N.
Decent burger (had the baconator) not too expensive when compared to 5guys though not quite at that level taste wise or customise wise. Bun was good and bacon was really nice and loads of cheese and sauce however the patties were lacking a bit of seasoning.
Chips were tasty, again probably just under 5 guys.
Was disappointed the frosty's weren't on as was really looking forward to that. The drinks machines were off too, one wasn't working (it'd just put out a shot of a drink), neither had ice and the drinks were pretty warm when did get them.
The seating area was a bit cramped too but it is am odd shaped/sized spot.
Would say to leave until a few months once they've ironed out some links and try again.

I've been here so many times since it opened! The location (near the station) is perfect and the quality of the food is top-notch, I would highly recommend the Dave Burger with fries - my personal favourite. Not a big fan of the chicken but that's not their specialty so I wouldn't mark them down on that. What's nice is the addition of a soft drinks machine, which has a wide range of options. Great for takeaway or eat-in, and service is excellent.

First experience of a Wendy's in many a year!
About time there was some competition for the "major" burger chain.
Friendly welcome this morning, breakfast menu on till 1030, no complaints with my sausage, egg and cheese muffin, definitely better tasting than other establishments offerings.
Plenty of seating with screen segregation, and as is new fully compliant with the current Covid regulations.
Well worth a visit, will be back another day to a burger a try.

First time at Wendy's after hearing about it I had to come in and try.
I'm allergic to gluten and dairy, I mentioned this to the staff and they were very very accommodating and helpful.
When was welcomed by a member of staff who was very polite and helpful,
I had the baconator burger with no cheese and no bun.
The patty was very juicy and taste very nice.
Although the price of the letter expensive I would highly recommend going there even if you only go once in a while. It's well worth it
Compliments to the chef who also came out to talk to me about the allergens and my order.
I can see them doing very well in reading :)
Also a big thank you to the person working the till, her name was violet (on reciept) and she was a great server :)
A. S.
Great burgers at great prices! Highly recommend! Hopefully they open one up in Cardiff!
J. L.
Always a good experience when I've come here. The restaurant is clean and nice. The food is reasonably priced and very good quality. The service is nice and fast. If you're looking for a break from Burger King or McDonald's, but don't want to veer too far from American Fast Food, this is the place.
m.
Went in for Breakfast and for £5 this is a great deal. The Baconator Breakfast lived up to
Its name, really tasty, bechamel sauce on the brioche bun was a nice surprise. The potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. The coffee was lovely and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I'll be going back.
M.
Great fast food restaurant! High quality food and good service. There is a queue usually to get in (courtesy of COVID-19) but I assure you, it is worth it! There is a wide range to choose from on the menu, I had the vanilla frosty which was super thick and delicious. The classic Dave burger was amazing - Wendy’s offers salad leaves as an alternative to the traditional brioche bun which is inclusive for a range of their customers! Cannot recommend enough!
D. F.
Thought it would have been nicer. I have heard a lot of hype around Wendy's. I found my food to be very plain. The meal size was pretty good, and the drinks are refillable. Overall it was an ok experience. I wouldn't be rushing back anytime soon though
J. S.
Food was really nice. Bit of a que and only one person serving but apart from that cant fault. Price was fair and fries were great. Well done!
M. D.
On the plus side it's cheap, fast, better chips and burger patties than McDonalds. I had a salad and the vegetable bites both of which I would eat again. The drinks machine gave out warm cola however and liquid was leaking out of the back so got the bottom of my handbag wet. The restaurant itself felt a bit abandoned when you came in and both my Husband and Niece said the burgers were decidedly average. You could do worse in Reading than eat here but you could do a lot better.
U.
Unlike my usual reviews this might be slightly biased😁 I rate Wendy's very highly! After driving about 1 hour 30min drive and then 30mins waiting to eat in, I was NOT disappointed!! The fries were quality & the burger was spot on!
Can't wait for the chain to be more wide spread in the UK, easy choice over the golden arches.
M. C.
It's decent, half the price of 5 guys and nearly as good. Sauce dispenser not working. Also you'd expect a burger called a Baconator to have loads of bacon, however I had to open it up to confirm there was bacon there! I must say, what little bacon there was, was very good though
U. Z.
It took me 1 hour to get here from Ealing & I’d say that the food quality here is excellent. With a burger full of flavour, it has a delicious & meaty taste & is filled with fresh vegetables.
This is more pricey that McDonald’s but it’s well worth the price. The chill cheese fries were also tasty.
W. G.
Absolutely gorgeous food. Probably the best burger I’ve eaten. And the fries WOW!
However, Wendy’s at Reading - what a dump. Dirty floor, bins over-flowing and had to clean the table of filth left by others ourselves. Would have moved table but ever vacant table was left piled in rubbish. What a shame.
D. R.
I had the Dave's Tripple, amazing flavour. Unfortunately we chose to go on Reading Festival so very busy. However, the staff were efficient and all round good service
t. m.
I miss Wendy's ...it's a bit different from home but still good....when will brioche buns die..a million times better then McDonald's
G.
This is the best fast food restaurant out there! The baconator is simply amazing!
Chips are tasty and milkshakes 😋The price is really good for the quality of the food 🍔
Shame there is not more of them around as definitely my favourite over other fast food restaurants
Give it a try and your love it!
m. c.
Lovely food, as fresh as it could be. Great staff. Clean and good location. We will definitely back. Thanks
H. “. z.
Food was great. Highly recommend the vanilla frostie but maybe a small cause its a tad too sweet. Regular portions are fine too as large was a bit filling for me and I can eat a horse 👍. Trays were a bit messy but Dan explained that they just came out weird from the dishwasher so it's all good. Will be visiting soon again.
S. W.
Good team serving. Quick and hot but place lacked soul and felt v uninviting. I used to rate Wendy's but seemed to have lost it. Still. Its just a burger.
s. l.
Travelled down from Swindon to try as I worked in the US for a bit (Denver) and loved Wendys, was my default for lunch.
I got a Daves Double, Chilli Cheese fries and Chocolate Frosty for £9.99 which I didn't think was too bad.
The burger was very very bland by itself, which surprised me, no real beefy taste. I ended up putting half a sachet of salt and pepper just on the burgers and adding some ketchup and that seemed to make it more enjoyable to eat.
The chilli cheese fried were perfect and didn't seem to go soggy, for £1.65 or around that good value and tasty, would have again.
The frosty I loved, really filling and lovely chocolate taste.
All in all it satisfied my curiosity, it doesn't feel like Wendys brave plans to 400 shops is coming any time soon and I'd be really interested to know if a Wendy's is coming to Swindon if anyone knows. I think it's main competition will again be McDonalds as Burger King standards have dropped through the floor.
The restaurant itself was clean and tidy, everything worked, service was fast and polite.
A. L.
Not an amazing location, but baconator was possibly one of the best burgers in reading. Perfect place if you need to have a quick on the go meal before getting on a train at the neighbouring train station.
A. C.
Appon arrival you are required to join the line outside if you want to eat inside. If you want to take away you go right in to place your order.
When you are inside you are showed to your table and given a number in a little card then go up to order.
The menu is quite interesting with the baconator and the triple Dave being highly recommended. Thay also offer vegan options so everyone will be happy. The food is very good value for money what is quite surprisingly good for being just outside of London.
If you want a American experience and not have to travel to the states then Wendy's is a place to do.
J. M.
Spoke to this lovely service lady :) had the baconator.. just an awesome burger.
S. A.
Truly amazing and delicious food, had one problem with our order however they were very fast with to respond with kindness and met my needs as a customer.
5 star for the food, 5 star for the staff, 5 star for the experience on a whole.
S. C.
I was looking forward to trying Wendy's as I remember as a child visiting the stores in America unfortunately I was disappointed the burger was fine nothing wrong with it just pretty boring I was thinking it would be above the standard burgers but it really wasn't just a thick burger which I'm not a fan of to be honest and lacked flavour. Nothing wrong with the food but I won't go back there is no desire to have another one.
J. A.
Food was so hot and fresh, definitely the freshest and cleanest fast food place I've been to. Quick service and the fries were 10/10
K. R.
Food was great, service was fast. Maybe slightly more than you'd want to spend on fast food, but happy considering what we got
S. W.
Very good baconator burger with skin on fries. Pricier than certain other high street chains but cooked to order and worth that extra.
S. R.
Great place and great food. I just don't like my chips that salty.
T. s. s. P.
First time at Wendy's but disappointed as burger was ok and chips were tiny. Definitely not worth the money.
S. S.
I mean it's okay.. if you want a cheap and cheerful meal I suggest going here with kids. Kind of a let down but it must be better over the pond.
N. H.
Really delicious food, freshly fried chips, well worth waiting for. The grilled chicken sandwich is delicious, and the Dave's Single is really juicy and flavourful. You can adjust your burger/salads, by adding more meat/salad vegetables, don't want chips with your burger? You can switch it out for an apple bag, or Chilli, or a jacket potato, or even loaded fries. Not enough bacon? Just add some more!
My mother can't recommend the Baconator enough, she still has meat sweats 6 hours later.
My only gripe is that the menu isn't as extensive as it was 20 years ago, when they were last in the UK, I miss the Chilli salad, but that may change, depending on how successful Wendy's get over here.
I cannot recommend getting the App and ordering for pick-up enough! It saves standing in the (long) queue, you can also customise your meal from the app, too, so you can still have your burger/salad however you like.
R. J.
Had the veggie stack, great flavour and you could tell ingredients were fresh because the tomato and lettuce had bite. Burger looked great too. Fries were crispy and fresh as well. Best fast food burger I've had in a long time.
J. E.
Not worth waiting unfortunately, over a hour in queue just to get soggy small burger... Can't comment on milkshake as they were unavailable, poor organisation with queue and I think will be long till u can comfortably eat inside, why they had broken alam constantly beeping I don't know, orders screens didn't work either, had triple daves meal... Meat better then McDonald's for sure
j. s.
Yeah burgers were very good, although not quite as good as the Wendy's in Denver. French fries - not so great. The Coca-Cola didn't taste right. Lovely staff, very professional and helpful.
C. G.
First visit, very impressed, not busy
Ordered food came quickly, drinks you helped yourselves to
Clean and tidy
L. M.
For whatever reason, I had it in my mind that Wendy's was just another variation on McDonald's or Burger King ie. somewhere to avoid. However, a Chef friend of mine highly recommended it and since I massively respect his culinary opinions, I thought I'd try it out. Long story short: Wendy's is without question the best and most reasonably priced fast food I've ever come across and certainly in Reading. Stop going to Maccy Ds and spend your hard earned cash at Wendy's. Fresh, well cooked with friendly service.
W. S.
It had been a number of years since I'd eaten a Wendy's in the USA and I wasn't disappointed. Tasted just like the USA version. There is a coke machine that dispenses a huge variety of drinks so, you can mix and match to your heart's content. The only downside was that the beef has tough grissly bits which wasn't great.
J. W.
We ordered the double Dave's, the classic chicken burger and frosty. Service was good, but food was just standard, didn't taste amazing, nothing special but reasonable prices. The frosty tastes like a Mc Donald's milkshake but thicker. Restaurant is tiny, so if you're eating in expect to have to wait for a table. I personally won't be returning again, I think there are much better burger places.
A.
Great food, very similar to Wendy’s in the US. Including frostys and the Dave’s beef burgers. The veggie burgers aren’t the impossible ones but are made up of black bean/corn etc. Delicious.
S. G.
It was my first time visiting there as it is one of the biggest food chains in America and experienced in first hand. The food is like burger king but better and they also ran out of frosty drinks that I wanted to try out. I gave 4 stars for that because no frosty drinks.
W. L.
Nice and clean service. Good meaty burgers as well. Worth a try
V. L.
It's fine. Better than most other takeout burgers, but we got the meal deal predicated on certain drinks being available. The waitress (who was lovely) reassured us that there were. Of the two drinks machines, one was broken and the other only had 3 of 12 options in stock.
L. C.
As good as in America you have to wait a little longer than other fast food places but it tastes so much better and fresher would visit again next time I'm in Reading
S. A.
My first experience of Wendy’s, it was so good! I didn’t have long to eat as I had to catch a train home. So I asked the staff would it be quick ordering. She was right as my take out was super fast and luckily there weren’t many customers. I’ve always wanted to taste a Wendy’s burger. I chose the Dave single burger with fries and it was good to help myself to a delicious cherry Vanilla coke. Very impressed with the polite, friendly and lovely staff.
Burger was mouthwatering, so tasty with a decent big burger, fries were seasoned. I’m so happy I would defo recommend to all!
I much prefer to Mc D as they are too busy, food taste average, Wendy’s is so much better!
Thank you :)
A.
Decor is dull and somewhat utilitarian with hard wood seating and tables.
Food wise the burger was great but the fries were oversalted and could have been hotter. Lack of table cleaning also helped make my decision never to return. It just wasn't different enough.
R. G.
Visiting the place for the second time in a week, the first time I ate in, and the second time I took my order out, to eat it at home, the taste is great, the staff were great, I really recomend all visiting Reading to give this place a try.
Usually I would go to other famous chains for my hamburgers, but after trying Windy's, it will take a lot to make me try other burgers, and the other dishes they serve, it seems, the square burgers are much tastier than round ones 😄
A. R.
I have been to Wendy’s twice with my friend I would just like what a fantastic burger joint. The burgers are very good nice square burger patties that bring in the extra flavour the chips are nice with salted kick to them and veggie bites have a nice kick to them when you sink your teeth into them with nice spices the chocolate frosty had nice taste and so many options for drinks at the machine. The staff where very friendly to me and my friend and they where welcoming which was a very nice thing of them to do for us. The prices are reasonable and much cheaper then Five Guys which is expensive when you get a burger from Five Guys. If you live in Reading or if you are going out for the day I would recommend Wendy’s to eat in or take out. Well done Wendy’s you deserve a pat on the back from me and my friend.
C. H.
The staff were very friendly, the cashier asked how my day was to fill any silences and was really very pleasant, however the food was average at best. The bun was quite dense and made both the beef burgers and chicken burgers quite heavy. The Avocado chicken burger was very flavourless and unseasoned and the baconator whilst nice was very dry as with the amount of meat in the burger, just a small amount of sauce on the top bun isn't enough. Lovely staff but probably wouldn't visit again for the food.
S. V.
Had a higher expectation tbh after seeing queues of people for weeks in a row when they opened the shop in Reading Berks. I waited for all of this crazy thing to pass and been there a few days ago with my family in the afternoon when only a few people were serving lunch. It was similar to McDonalds in terms of their burgers, in my humble opinion, but I have to say that the drinks are bottomless, which is cool having as much fizzy or still drinks as you want and have a variaty of flavours. This is something I enjoyed and I think every fast food should have them cool machines and the bottomless system.
j. a.
If you're looking for a healthy grilled chicken breast burger, yeah Wendy's has one.
And the other burgers are cool too.
S. W.
Baconator is small and almost soggy with grease. Chips are ok but no ketchup. Friday night was a 20min queue. I think I'll stick with BK
J. L.
Decent burger and quick service from ordering to pick up, Such a shame that only a few Wendy's exist in the UK.
S. D.
I love this place and whilst the menu has some British adaptations, it does make me think of my time in Ohio. It is very clean and tidy; the staff were very attentive to hygiene. The only thing that let it down was thr drinks machines weren't working. I ordered and paid for a large drink, but was presented with a can. Nobody explained this to me before ordering. I paid extra to get the same as somebody paying for a standard drink. Not explaining this beforehand was quite poor.
J. H.
Visited here about 3 weeks ago from York on a day trip to Reading. While it was daily obvious that the branch had only just opened - large queues outside, staff who perhaps didn't know exactly what they should be doing, and no working lights in the bathrooms. The overall experience was a positive one. While more expensive than the golden arches, the portions were of a noticeably bigger size, and the quality was somewhat better. It was also very refreshing and authentic to its American origins to see fast food places not shying away from the fact that the dishes they serve aren't healthy, with Wendy's making no attempt to come across as a healthy option - especially with names like 'The Baconator'!
t. s.
Food was banging best bacon cheese burger ever kids really enjoyed it and wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be
F. C.
Great menu options. We'll located near the station and the main centre drag. The restaurant area is small, and fills very quickly. Be prepared to wait as its very slow service. Food of good quality. Store standards already slipping regarding instore litter and cleanliness, its messy.
D. B.
Absolutely brilliant. A little more expensive than McDonalds (about £8 for a meal deal) but much better! I'd say the burgers (I had a Baconator) is on a par with Five guys.. but at a reasonable but at a reasonable price. Superb!
D. G.
First time I'd ever been to a Wendy's and it was good! The Baconator meal (Number 4) was really good. Nothing special about the chips but the burger was excellent. They got our order wrong with the milkshakes and one came more melted than the other, but it still tasted good. The layout of the place is a bit confusing if it's your first time!
C. F.
the food was great but want to say that the customer service from your employee Callum was amazing very friendly and nice person especially in the morning 😁
C. D.
Waited over 20 years for Wendy's to return, love the burgers, clean and new building and really friendly staff, not expensive
F. 2.
Great burgers best in Town
B. C.
Very friendly, quick service, modern and clean but most importantly the food is miles better than any other fast food place! Yessss!
E. S.
Very fast service and very tasty fries, burgers and milk shakes. Good value too.
O. K.
I had the chicken one and my hub got the beef , full of flavour and delicious.
E. W.
Pretty good food! lots of choices, if your sick of the usual burger and chips or eating healthy this is a good option for you. I had a fabulous, fresh apple, cranberry and chicken salad it was really good. Chicken nuggets are decent chicken and very tasty. To be fair is visit Wendy's for the drubus machine! The Cherry vanilla Dr pepper is delicious. Clean, friendly staff and no queue when we went.
D. M.
The burgers where excellent, pure beef burgers in a truly yummy bun and the drinks were quenching
M. B.
Much better than the clown's restaurants, Wendy's burgers actually have a good amount of meat in them and will leave you full. I felt like it was good value for money too. My only complaint was with how busy it was they needed more than one worker on the tills taking orders.
L.
Can you please pass it onto your staff to check the custom orders coming in from Uber Eats. Every time I order a spicy chicken burger with no tomato, added cheese and pickles I never get that!
The best I got was the tomato was removed but no cheese or pickles. I wouldn't be annoyed if the cheese was free to add but I am paying for something I am not getting.
R. P.
The burgers are really nice. A lot better than McDonald's. The service was a bit slow but it was worth it. Oh & no ice in the right hand side drinks machine too & even if it was 8pm
J. S.
Fair enough I was drinking before I went but that burger was amazing! The staff were new so queue was long and slow moving. It will improve over time. Well worth the taste.
S. M.
Chicken and fries portions were smaller than expected but very very tasty
A. H.
So something of a mini pilgrimage for Americans as it is currently the only Wendy's in the UK. As my partner is from the US we duly made the trek but ended up queueing as we caught the tail end of the Reading Festival and the post festy crowd refuelling after a weekend of excess before trekking home.
Despite that the staff were managing the rush well and efficiently and food was exactly as ordered for the family. Place was pretty clean and for fast food the burgers and fries were decent. The key thing is the price. It's really cheap compared to other high street fast food places. If they get a foothold I'm pretty sure we'll see more across the UK
K.
a bit of a wait to get in and slow service, but good food overall. Definitely would not rush to come back however.
C. P.
Not the best burger I had. Less crowded and having many seats. Less waiting time. Chili con carne is really nice.
D. P.
WHOOP WHOOP
Wendy's is back. Just the same as before. Those fresh ingredients are going to smash the others out the park.
Message to wendy's West London ASAP please 👍🏾
T.
Great selection of food, clean restaurant and great drinks machine. Will definitely go back!
S. G.
Very nice place!!
I had a really nice experience with this American food restaurant. It has a wide variety of food, including a breakfast menu and a main menu after that. The food tasted delicious, the burgers smell amazing and was a really affordable price. The only thing I will say about this restaurant is that during the day it can be a very busy place and long queues are likely, expecially at around lunch time.
K. V. B.
Was great to try Wendy's again after such a long absence in the UK. Although food was tasty the time waiting for the food was ridiculous, my order took 15 minutes to appear. The layout in the shop needs better signage as incoming customers only knew where to queue when other customers told them (its hidden behind an articifical wall). Pricing wasn't too bad but overall need to work on timing'sand signage.
J. E.
Does not taste like the american Wendy's at all - the burgers are much sweeter in the states and can't put my hand on what tastes different about the chicken nuggets. It is probably healthier, lol, just not as tasty but same with most UK franchises except for Wing Stop. Taco Bell is another that doesn't really taste like American taco bell. Their food tastes exactly like Shake Shack's food for anyone that was wondering.
D. H.
First Wendy's in the UK for the second time round. Unlike their square burgers. Restaurant nothing special in fact very basic. Food though good and freshly prepared, bacon burgers good as were chilli and milk shake. Food good surroundings underwhelming.
A. P. C.
Had two meals and both been good, tried the baconator and double burger with fries. Both times everything was fresh and hot, burgers tasted great and had great meaty juicy burgers that actually tasted like beef, the double burger had fresh salad that didn’t look like it had been hanging around. Fries were hot and fresh, maybe not the best fries I’ve ever had but pretty good. Prices are reasonable, slightly more then McDonalds but I’d prefer a fresh tasty burger whereas McDonalds can be hit or miss - I personally think the burgers taste better at Wendy’s too
Overall I definitely think this is the best of the 3 big burger chains, and somewhat comparable to Five Guys at a much cheaper price - although not as customisable. The Frosty was probably the thing I liked the least and was pretty average, however the burgers are great and I’d recommend them highly for a reasonably price burger
A. G.
Bit average to be honest, I was hoping for more. It was cash only as the card machines were down. Dave's double was juicy and tender and was a decent size but was just ok not great. The chips were far too salty, the chicken nuggets were nice.
Wouldn't necessarily come back in a hurry but wouldn't avoid in future if it was an option.

This is the first time since Wendy's left the UK that I have been back in a Wendys (used to visit their restaurant in Ox. St, where McD's is now)and the memory was not tarnished. Wonderful burger, great fries and a milkshake so thick you needed a spoon. £15 for the two of us but so worth it. This is home to something real...a burger 🍔 to die for.
B. G.
Really good burgers, cheaper than Five Guys at over half the price, and a very unique ice cream.
D. B.
Visited today and I couldn't be happier. Wendy's is a staple of mine when I visit the US so my concern was the UK version wouldn't be as good. Whilst the menu isn't as big, everything else is just as good. The restaurant was very busy but service was friendly and fast. Pricing is somewhere between McDonald's and Five Guys, but with Five Guys quality. My Dave's Triple was absolutely to die for, as were my chocolate Frosty and chili bowl. We drove 2 hours for this today and it was totally worth it. Looking forward to a London location soon!

I went to wendy’s today, ordered my favorite meal (Baconator with extra bacon/cheese/ beef patty/ jalapeños) which I usually order in my home country Kuwait, then I got my order and went to fill my cup in that fancy machine, I recommend the cherry coke it’s lovely! the burger was AMAZING!! Easily my favorite burger to ever exist!! Dumb thing is that I didn’t Know that this branch is one of three only here in the UK, I don’t know how lucky it could get 💀, anyways really really recommend eating at wendy’s if you are trying to find the best burger in your life.
G. S.
The burger was incredibly tasty. The bacon fries were nice. The sugar free peach ice tea was tasty. The chicken nuggets were tasty, but too expensive for the amount you get.
Reason for the lower score was that you had to wait outside for a long time before they let you in, though you could see there were tables available. There was one young girl acting as a doorman whilst having to ensure the tables were cleaned, etc. Clearly too much responsibility for one person.
Hope it was a temporary staffing issue, but it was disconcerting that the dining area was not as clean as I would have expected during a Covid period.
Finally, thought their ordering and collection of food system was overly complicated, so hope things will be smoother when restrictions ease from Monday 19/07/2021.
Saying all that, I look forward to going again and I hope the experience will be improved.

First time in wendys in the UK. The food was amazing perfect ratio of gherkins. It was roughly the same price mcdonalds but definitely twice as good. Only thing was the soft drinks were very limited. They only had coke and sprite zero. Would give 4.5 stars if I could
A. M.
Really great spicy chicken burger. The place was nice and service was good! Nice to see some pininfarina designed drinks machines, but please not, you have to press the screen very hard
C. M.
Nice meal and price not bad. Easy to order in one section and then your number called with your meal at another pickup counter. There is only a ground level seating area in the Reading branch I noticed.
B. T. B. T. F.
Loved the food never been to a Wendys before. Got a Double Dave's (though i got no tomato or pickles, no judgements lol) and it was delicious certainly better quality to other places i have tried, will visit again when in Reading. Only complaint, though i might be wrong that this is the only Wendys in England
R. C.
Food was amazing, the burger and chips were tasty and high quality, the topped fries were delicious and the frosty was like a mcflurry/chocolate shake, but better! The only one issue we had was that all out orders were put in the bags incorrectly and we were missing a set of cutlery. Hopefully this is things that will get sorted out as time goes on.
D. C.
There has been huge publicity about this places and there are often huge queues. We had it delivered to avoid the wait.
I would describe it as ok. It is similar to burger king or McDonald's. It is not unique and it probably tastes the same every time you go. As it is supposed to be fast food I can't quite see the point of waiting in a long queue, but I am sure the queues will die down once the novelty does. Until that point you are not missing much by going elsewhere.
G. C.
Good burgers and frostys are lovely. Better than mcds and burger King in my opinion
K. H.
Their hot drinks really get you going, warm you up when you feel you're slowing.
O. G.
Awaited this for a long time! Great burger and fries, also appreciated the Freestyle drinks machine. We queued for about 40 minutes to get seated, another 10 to get eating. On the other hand, they were out of quite a lot of things; chocolate Frosties, and many Freestyle choices. Also weird for an American chain to not accept American Express.
P. D.
Very tasty, not greasy/oily, good value and a pleasant venue.
R. F.
Great food, well organised and amazing staff.
J. l.
Pretty good food, a step up from burger king.
M. S.
Positives: Tasty baconator burger and fries. No queue when we went on Sunday noon.
Negatives: Cash machine was not working and there was no vegetarian options. Doesn't deserve 5 stars yet.
M. T.
Great tasting burgers but not enough seating inside for eat-in
K. S.
Great overall experience today, yes there was a que but that was to be expected it moved rather fast. I can't say enough nice things about the Manager, he was extremely helpful and accomodating to our family he really looked out for us. The food was great, we will be back and hopefully more Wendy's will open up close to us, with equally superb staff...I just wanted to give a special shout out to the manager, awesome person!
W. E.
Love Wendy's! The food tastes great, highly recommend!
I. B.
Food good, service good but its to small to eat in. Had to wait 15 minutes for a table!
H. M.
Love a Wendy's burger, used to go to them in the 80's before they disappeared. Amazing value for money, puts Mcdonalds and Burger King to shame for the quailty and taste, compared to the dry cardboard taste they offer.
C. L.
Friendly staff, breakfast food was cheap and quite delicious. Crispy potatoes were very crispy and tasty. Porridge a little thick but still good. Would recommend. Will return for lunch offering....
Z. B.
We stopped for lunch on our way back from Cornwall, queued for about 40 minutes to eat in. The customer service was outstanding. I had The veggie stack combo. The veggie patty was tasty. Skinny fries were lovely and crispy. It was ok. I have to add, that I am not a 'burger person', but my fiancé was over the moon with his burger and chilli cheese fries. He said it was a Five guys quality, but for less money.
Nice food overall, but tbh, it didn't convince me to come again and wait in a que for more.
B. M.
Disappointing first long awaited visit. I can see that Covid restrictions do effect one’s experience but no chilli available and no diet drinks in the drinks machines!!!!!!!
My wife liked the avocado salad but hey, this is a BURGER restaurant!!!! Burgers not as nice as they are in the USA and chips are only average.
I have been waiting years for a Wendy’s to open in the U.K. as I have really enjoyed Wendy’s food in the US for many years but this was a major let down. I think Five Guys will have my business now as their burgers are more like the American Wendy’s burgers and their chips are the best you can get in the U.K. I am so disappointed.
J.
Food is amazing! I had a spicy chicken burger, and my partner had the baconator. Both delicious! We also tried the nuggets which were to die for and the frosties remind me of the icecream trucks that used to stop by my house as a child! Customer service is outstanding, all the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
A.
Went today. The food was served quickly and the quality was amazing. The staff were able to direct me to the very clearly laid out allergy information.
The fries were amazing and the burger itself was delicious.
P. C.
Great food, great service. The quality of the food is fantastic, you can tell the difference against other fast food restaurants. Loses one star because it’s often crowded and there isn’t much dine in space.
A. S.
Must try! Great quality food!
A. L.
Went for the first time today. Staff were very lovely and enthusiastic, beautiful clean restaurant. A bt of a wait but no more than 20 minutes. Food was absolutely perfect and exactly as ordered. Only paid £7.80 for what you would've paid over £10 for at Five Guys
J. H.
Went today and it was rammed - everyone excited about a new burger joint, yet the staff were doing an amazing job at handling the crowds and explaining why we all had to queue outside (no prizes for guessing). They were even handing out bottled water to those waiting, which was a lovely way of making us feel taken care of. When we got in, which didn't take too long, everything was clean and well presented and the staff taking our order was good humoured and friendly. Most importantly though the food was ace. The Baconator has instantly jumped to my favourite fast food burger in Reading, with the Baconator fries being a worthy addition, beyond just being something to pad out a meal, like many other fast food places. Overall we felt like the ingredients were fresh (even down to the bread), staff great even under pressure, and the excitement of trying somewhere new was apparent in the crowd.
J. B.
I have waited so long for wendys to come to England 🇬🇧, first visited in Canada 🇨🇦 years ago. It was amazing 👏! Square Burgers, loved it , has to go back soon. Best Burgers in this country 😋. Sorry Maccy d's! Your food is good, but not good as wendys.
L. (. P.
Awesome food and service, Callum at the tills was really sweet and you're lucky to have him :D
D. A.
Only fair to say Wendy's will still be ironing out their system and training so any review should be viewed as a preliminary opinion and my comments on my experience are aimed to bring awareness to the management mostly and those seeking knowledge prior to joining the epic long queues.
The queue system - Wow! Seriously wow. I had to congratulate myself once back home, similar to the achievement one must feel when they stand at the summit of Everest, especially as I was hanging from the previous night that I managed to put up with it. Only myself in a queue is one to many normally so I used up all my yearly queue discipline in one go.
We visited as a family on Sunday evening at around 7pm. We joined what we thought was the queue and having stood there for a few minutes we had a member of staff inform us this was for eat in and the take away queue was round the corner. This as one could imagine triggered me off like cheap Catherine wheel firework, even more so that Wendy's had two members of staff outside to deal with this situation but they prefared to chat to either family/friends in the queue rather than navigate queue directions, sometimes not moving for up to 10 minutes before informing other Everest mountaineers they had joined Mount Kilimanjaro expedition by mistake.
No one enjoys standing in a wrong queue when hungry, especially when you could chew off your own foot, so I hope the management focus on this. The overall queue time was around 1hr 15 minutes. This is not ideal if you just want to grab something and go, there were only 11 orders in front of us on the take away queue so the system is very slow, and although the novelty has most likely increased queue sizes 11 takeaway orders is not excessive so its fair to assume this will be standard. To be fair the entry allowance also was shared with the eat in queue but that was so slow it was Tenet (for you movie lovers)
Bring a drink for the queue as unlike other reviews that were offered a drink we unfortunately where not offered one. Luckily McDonald's was round the corner and one of our members went to get drinks to keep us hydrated. Not ideal marketing for Wendy's though.
Once inside the system of ordering was fairly simple and was efficient at least.
Price wise your looking at a cost inline with Burger King so nothing excessive.
Quality wise, I'm sad to say it was average. The burgers I would compare to 5 guys or shakeshack but nothing overly special. Your not paying Miller & Carter prices so don't expect one of their burgers. The burger construction was OK except they put the tomatoe touching the bun. Seriously an item that is 93% water should never touch a burger bun.
The patty was OK, lacked any form of seasoning for our group and was a little pink, for those a little squeamish you may want to ask for well done.
Had heard it would be American size portions and that wasn't the case. Standard in line with their uk competitors. The standard chicken burger was nearly as small as a 99p chicken mayo from Mackies saver menu.
The fries though were fantastic. Best of all of American burger joints.
The food quality was also the collective opinion of 5 out of our group of 6.
Lastly, its a surprise this location was chosen as the first establishment in the UK. Very small dining area, small 2 till ordering counter and a pick up area that can only fit around 6 people. Highly probable the queues Will continue after the novelty period as just a very small set up for one of Britain's largest towns drawing huge attention.
Wendy's have already had a unsuccessful stab at the UK market so really need to nail this as they have seasoned veteran competition with much efficient systems in place. I do wish them well though.
As said its a review based on a new food outlet that has drawn huge attention so teething issues are expected, training and staff levels will hopefully get better.

I went out of my way to go to this Wendy's, one of the first of their (re-) opening in the UK. I've frequented their restaurants in the USA and enjoyed their food, so was keen to see if they can maintain that quality here too... and they can.
This is undoubtedly the fanciest building I've ever seen hosting a Wendy's, and they've done a great job of incorporating it. There was a huge queue for customers wanting to dine in, mostly due - I think - to the restrictions in place due to Covid (my visit was pre the 19th July). There was no queue for takeaway orders.
I had to wait a couple of minutes while my order was prepared, which I took down to the square by the train station to eat. They've maintained the quality that I've come to enjoy in their USA restaurants, with large, juicey beef patties and good quality fries. Napkins are definitely needed!
There isn't a drive through but if you're keen you could always park at the train station, walk to the Wendy's for a takeaway order and straight back to your car. That should be possible within the free parking time at the station... just!
Looking forward to more restaurants opening across the UK.
C. S.
Really surprised by the quality for the price of a fast food restaurant! Great burger and great fries, what more could you want? Like 5 guys but without the price tag!
D. N.
A enjoyable and well made burger ... much better than McDonald's
T. H.
Portions are big and the burger was exactly how it looked as advertised and it was tasty!
T. M.
Would have got 5 stars but long queues, you can see why though, impressive, queues probably due to novelty, good location next to station
g. b.
Went with 3 friends. Cant really call itself fast food as took some time to get our food. I have to say i enjoyed my daves double burger with chilli cheese fries/refillable drink and chicken nuggets. Paid just over £10 and I would say its value for money. My friend wasn't as impressed as I was, he felt his daves double was a little bland and that wendys needed it's own special sauce like mcdonalds with its big mac sauce. The McDonald's is 100 metres away and if I had to choose I between the two I would go with Wendy's. Real patty meat unlike mcds processed meat. Real chicken nuggets unlike mcdonalds processed nuggets although I felt £2.99 is pricey for just 4 nuggets. Look forward to trying other items on the menu.
M. N.
Overall, a good experience. The food was good, the staff were incredibly friendly, and there is plenty of selection.
The downside was the waiting time to get in. We must've waited about 20 minutes just to get a seat.
J. N.
Good food, fast service and friendly staff. Will return if I am in the area.
B. a.
Great food , reasonably priced !
Wish there was one local to us
S. B.
Very nice burgers and love the soft drink selection. Would definitely order the Baconator again. Service was a bit slow to order.
W. D.
Firstly, the food is really quite good quality, and I came a long way to visit it having high expectations, which were generally met. But unfortunately problems that mean I can't give it more than a three, and I probably wouldn't come that far for it again.
I realised I got charged extra for my frosty as though it wasn't part of the combo, when it should have been. But for £2 or so I didn't bother questioning it, and just got a refills from the soda machine.
The second issue is that my friend and I got asked to leave when we stayed for a short while, still finishing our drinks. When I worked at McDonald's we were always told to let people stay as long as they needed. For a company that seems to pride itself on being better than McDonald's, this was disappointing. I know that it's busy and people waited a long time to be there, but so did we.
M. M.
Definitely an 11. The burgers here rival five guys. If Dave Thomas and team keep this up, they'll dominate the fast food market in the uk.
At least for now, there's two queues....one for eat in and another for takeaway. They've also got those coke machines where one can flavour their own drinks and do refills as well.
J. S.
Good fast service although would say there's more hype over the food then the actual quality of food
m. b.
Don’t be discouraged to try it because of the many negative reviews, most of them because of Covid restrictions at the time.
Worth a visit for lunch, but too much as dinner.
The only negative is the Fries, they are crispy but tasteless. Need more salt or try spices like cajun or paprika.
m. t.
We had the best franchise burger 🍔 in Berkshire a new king is born in the UK long live
G. S.
Great tasting American food!! Its fresh and the prices are fair, on numerous visits though, I find there is a slight inconsistency in portions and make up of the burgers- at times sloppy,at times the best burger in Reading. Friendly staff!!
Q. A.
Went to Wendys today after its opening on Wednesday. Had been waiting for many a monsoon and the day finally arrived. And boy was it worth the wait. Waited in line for approx an hour which wasn't that bad. The queue was relatively shorter than previous days but the weekend might see it spike. Spicy chicken burger and Dave's beef burger, along with regular fries and chille cheese fries (poutine basically). Wasn't a big fan of the chille fries, and can't see anyone who enjoys regular fries enjoying this. But each to their own. Wendy's experience was 9/10. Food was 9/10. Lettuce was surprisingly the most fresh I've seen in a fast food chain! Let's see how long they keep that up. In general, a very good place to have a change from Burger King, McDonald's or the rest. We need more branches! Prices are very reasonable. Places to sit are few due to Covid. The staff seem amped for the new experience; well trained. Well done guys. You're on your way to the big leagues here in the UK
M. D. (.
Excellent burgers. So much better than McDonald's.
M. K. (.
It was great, first Wendy's burger I've ever had and I was pretty impressed. The fries were amazing as well.
A. S.
OMG! It's back. The squared patty burger I last had back in 1998 is back! We made a special trip just to try out the long lost square burger and to find out if Daves burger still lives on in the aftermath 2K1.
Lo and behold when we walked in it was packed to the hilt. There was a que for ordering which was surprising when it only took 5mins to order but then the 15/20 mins wait followed for the food to be ready.
I don't know how busy this branch normally is but I was expecting a wait never the less. Also Reading Festival was on too.
It was great to see Daves range on the menu. The last time I saw the word Combo was my last visit to the states!
The food was good and worth a try even if you just wanted to reminisce.
A. G.
First time in wendys in the UK. The food was amazing perfect ratio of gherkins. It was roughly the same price mcdonalds but definitely twice as good. Only thing was the soft drinks were very limited. They only had coke and sprite zero. Would give 4.5 stars if I could
M. G.
Delicious food and it actually fills you up! Cheaper than a Burger King too! This quality for the money it is, just fantastic!
R. C.
Food was amazing, the burger and chips were tasty and high quality, the topped fries were delicious and the frosty was like a mcflurry/chocolate shake, but better! The only one issue we had was that all out orders were put in the bags …

Tasty burger much better than the competition.

It was great, first Wendy's burger I've ever had and I was pretty impressed. The fries were amazing as well.

Decent customer service , burgers are nice and juicy . Free refills on drinks 🤤🤤 decent munch ngl
A. T.
Not overly impressed if I'm honest. It was ok..... thats it really
N. T.
Very tasty burgers, excellent chips and a very clean modern restaurant.very smily staff. Had a piece of gristle in one patty, shows it's real I guess, but rest super tasty.
F. C.
Great menu options. We'll located near the station and the main centre drag. The restaurant area is small, and fills very quickly. Be prepared to wait as its very slow service. Food of good quality. Store standards already slipping regarding instore litter and cleanliness, its messy.
F. C.
I've heard about wendys coming to the UK a few weeks ago from one of my friends. Having known the brand from US and movies, I've always wanted to visit this fast food chain. The food quality is great, not even comparable with burger king/mcdonalds, I've specifically enjoyed the meat, which wendys claims not to be frozen. Staff is really friendly, there's is also many sitting places however there was a little queue in front, most likely due to first branch opened in the UK. I can't wait for wendys to come to more places in the country!
D. C.
Food great. But seating area to small. Ut needs a second story.
K. R.
Was good food but they missed alot of items from our order
W. P.
Came here twice now and very quick service. Although the second time we got the wrong order. However other than that the food was very delicious and wide selection of beverages. Would come again.
P. T.
BEST breakfast sandwich - get a #1 when you come here.
C. B.
Friendly staff, quick service. Fresh burgers almost as good as five guys whilst half the price. Creative menu, but expect queues for the next few weeks
Y. T.
I tried chicken burgers but couldn't find them yummy... Also coke machine didn't have unlimited drinks so I was given a can of coke... Waiting is also very tiring but it will be good hopefully. Also chips are very nice...
G. D.
Just as I remember them back in the eighties and early nineties. Very nice Daves double burger meal I had. Salad in burger tasted fresh .Better than macdonalds , and looking forward 2 more opening in near future.
m. n.
Everything you would expect from a Wendy's. Great food, good service.
L.
The young man that took time to come outside and update us whilst offering an apology for the wait. He presented as sincere, pleasant and a true representative of how business should be done. His decision to do that earned Wendy's their 3.
C. H.
As American I am so happy that Wendy's is making a come back! The UK has been missing a good fast food restaurant that does good quality ingredients and a large menu with lots of variety!
L. C.
I had Dave's triple burger. It was really nice, really meaty and the right amount of sauces also. Cost £7.29 for the meal. It was definitely worth it
N. T.
Very tasty burgers, excellent chips and a very clean modern restaurant.very smily staff. Had a piece of gristle in one patty, shows it's real I guess, but rest super tasty.
J. E.
Does not taste like the american Wendy's at all - the burgers are much sweeter in the states and can't put my hand on what tastes different about the chicken nuggets. It is probably healthier, lol, just not as tasty but same with most UK …
f.
just standard fast food. A bit too salty for my tastes, but the frostie was really good!!
T. M.
Good.Staff were a little unsure of procedures.
J. J.
Wendy's is just amazing, always deliver on food quality and portion amount.
A must buy.
K. H.
It's OK on a par with other fast food outlets in the area

Tasty burgers reasonable pricing, brilliant refillable drinks machine! Slightly long wait but I did visit at a peak time.
D. C.
Not bad burgers and believe the same as when Wendy's were in the UK last time, just a bit greasy. However staff were so slow that they were queuing out the restaurant, could do a lot better.
N. M. W.
Classic 80s stuff not been since the late 80s great to them back in the UK
P.
Absolutely fantastic, I never again want to go any other fast food chain restaurant. The staff is so nice - if any of the staff is reading this, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SMILES, YOU'RE AMAZING
K. M.
A welcome addition to Reading! Delicious food, great service, extremely organised staff ensuring COVID-19 safety measures are adhered to. A clear step up from the other fast food chains in the town.
a.
It was a good service, really nice people working there... the burger was good fries was good... the milkshakes were good, nothing particularly different from all the other burger restaurants...
P. S. (.
Really nice staff, pretty bog standard fast food
J. G.
Good meal, ambiance was ok in there too,
A draft by the door though so avoid those seats.
g. k.
I've been waiting for a few months to come to Wendy's. Was very satisfied, great food and great value for money. What more do you want.
V. T.
Always fresh and great food.
N. C.
It's a great fast food place offering a good price. The layout of the shop could be better for seating not offering roomy disability access.
C. F. (.
Burger was brilliant juicy and neat with buttery smooth cheese, frosty chocolate drink was not to thick or over powering, nuggets very crispy and the chips are just as yummy as five guys fries only reason I'm not going this 5 stars is cause the didn't have vanilla frosty (not for the ques as they can't help it on opening week)
A. P.
Good tasting fast food but rarely very fast! Allow a good amount of time if you plan to eat here (but in my opinion worth the wait)
N. P.
The wait for a UK Wendy's burger is over, after queuing for about 20 minutes a member came outside and those wanting a take way could go in and order, the restaurant inside has been decked out very nicely, ordered a baconattor for me self and the 3 burger bap for me mate, prices are very reasonable I think it cost me £11 for the two, went down hill from here, man are the burgers full of oily grease, by the time I had me first bite the bap was a soppy mess, also a slight sore throat after, which I can only put down to the amount of salt within the burgers... So all in all nice place let down by the product
H. B.
Food was good, large sizes and well priced, not enough staff in tho.
As such tables were not cleared so rubbish everywhere.
S. B.
Eating here once but burger tasted really good. Better than most of the popular chains.
D. C.
Tasty burgers but the fizzy drinks were a bit flat.
R. C.
FSA rating 5/5 as of 03 August 2021
M. J.
Easy to order .Clean restaurant
P. B.
Very dirty inside, rables were clean but that was it.
r.
Seriously good burgers at a fraction of 5 guys price!
A. L.
Pretty good! Fast service, food was good. Windows could use some blinds as the sun was blinding! Would go again!
J. T.
The burgers are good, the square shape is unique, but the tables were a bit cramped and no napkins were provided with the tray.
S. K.
The food here are unbelievable. Really tasty and good.
T. B.
AmazInG Food - 1st time I've ever eaten Wendy's. Generous portions, U won't be disappointed
M. G.
Delicious food and it actually fills you up! Cheaper than a Burger King too! This quality for the money it is, just fantastic!
T. R.
Great food, far better quality than competitors in the area. It's a shame after being open for a few months now that the wait for food times are still long.
j.
Please bring Wendy's to Birmingham or West Midlands. Just getting the order correct and serving fresh fries will put you above all the McDonald's and KFC's in the area.
M. L.
Fast, friendly service.
Food hot, fresh and tasty, i enjoyed this Wendy’s more than one I visited in Hollywood. Would go back
T.
Food was excellent and even though the order was missing an item. Called them to inform and they were really friendly and replaced the missing burger.
M. J.
Good burger, chips are a bit average though...
s. j.
Great service and the food is far better than McDonald's or even burger King in my opinion and I love burger King but Wendy's you need more locations as I would love one in suffolk or even colchester
J.
Decent customer service , burgers are nice and juicy . Free refills on drinks 🤤🤤 decent munch ngl
I. V.
Not as good as I remember it.
Good milk shake though👍🏽
O. O.
good food however very busy
J. D.
I have been waiting for this since first announced in 2019. Bring on June 2nd!
UPDATE: I went and it was fantastic. Baconator and nuggets are amazing! 100% worth the visit!
H. G.
The queue to dine in was so long and moved so slowly but as soon as we switched to take away we got our burgers in no time and enjoyed them on a bench in the city center.
A. M.
Not sure what was the fuzz about when it opened in Reading. Frostie was not that great. Burger was OK, KFC might have a slightly better burger..
N. F.
Long (45 mins outside) ( 15 mins inside)wait but thats to be expected in the first week i suppose... But food was definitely worth it.. and staff were helpful too.
I will most definitely be going back to Wendys
H. W.
Top tier burgers! And the service was really good! 11/10 definitely not disappointed!
A. C.
Just as good as I remember it all those years ago.
G. P.
This was the best burger I've had in years and to top it off I could only just finish my meal
B. H.
Better than McDonald's and Burger King!!!
L. S.
So glad this is in the UK!! Where possible order online before you go along as the queue is crazy! But definitely worth it hope they bring more across the UK as I need a frosty more often!
D. C.
Second time was better than the first!
I was one of those saps that went when queuing to get in was a thing, this time no queues and super efficient service.
M. B.
If there is a queue avoid it;it takes ages.
Good bacon and great chips, decent size burger and fair price.
j. j.
Reminds me of the burger I had in the US. Smaller portion than I hoped but really nice meal overall

The wait is almost over,
There’s a line up outside and another when you go to order. It seems a bit slow but things have to be done properly, would suggest avoiding busier time as it might not be so nice having to wait for a while.Hopefully it will be a bit quicker once things are up and running properly.

Food excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Best burgers in this and just about any other Town.

Will be there on open day, I had Wendys when I was waiting for a flight in New York and it was amazing. Im hoping the menu and sizes stay the same

S. C.
Amazing burgers and very nice Frostys. Service was outstanding, offered a drink in the queue.

Brilliant! Drove over 100 miles to get there and it was well worth it! I don't think I'll be able to go back to eating McDonalds after this and they actually have a working icecream machine
P. N.
Wendy's has finally arrived back after a 20 year absence. I had the Dave double burger and it was delicious as I remember.
M. G.
Good choice of products on a par with other burger chains in my opinion

Wendy's is just amazing, always deliver on food quality and portion amount.
A must buy.

With a splash more of hospitality, this store might be one of the most beautiful ones here in the UK. Otherwise, it's the closest to the U.S. version.
S. G.
Been a long time since I was in a Wendy's since the 90's. The food did not disappoint, the baconator was delicious and the frosty's was delicious too
