T. R.Haven't been to 7 bone in a few years but it was great to see new burgers and fires toppings on the menu 😀 there was a good variety of vegan options too which looked good. The red basket meals are good value and fill you up loads. The burgers were cooked the way we asked and the buns held together well which was something that didn't happen when I last visited. The drinks were more expensive than we were expecting. Will be returning 🍔🍟🤤

A.Ordered from 7bone for the first time on deliveroo. Really impressed! The burgers were amazing. The serving of chips was also super generous it was like a small shoe box of chips enough for two! On that note, the packaging was the best I've had for takeaway burger. Really well thought out, easy to eat on the couch, no mess, and recyclable. Will definitely order again or come by for a meal in the shop.
A. R.Visited here for the first time today with friend for an evening meal (just after 6pm). We were able to be seated straight away and ordered drink and food with in 19 minutes. Our server was polite, efficient and friendly. Drinks arrived first and food followed up within 10 minutes. It’s an interesting decor, similar to a dive bar aesthetic or mock speak easy. Would highly recommend if your a burger fan / lover, will definitely be visiting again when I’m down in Southampton 😁👍

M. H.Eating in is generally a really good experience, but whatever you do, do not order delivery. My food has been prepared really well in the restaurant every time I've been, but whenever I've ordered delivery, everything has been undercooked. Cold and 90% pink when I requested a well done burger, undercooked sides, etc. I've contacted by email on a couple of occasions to provide feedback on this but received no response or even acknowledgement.
Definitely a shame that the nice food of the restaurant does not translate well to delivery.

Slight issue with wait times, waited a long time to order and after eating we waited 30 minutes to pay and had to ask for the bill twice. The restaurant was busy and I think they were understaffed having three servers for a full restaurant. The staff were lovely, apologetic about the wait etc.

The reason I didnt give them the last star is because their general hygiene still needs working on. Their tables and cutlery we all sticky. The kitchen rolls were greasy. However, their customer service was great! 👍
K.I went to 7 Bone today with a friend from out of town, and the vegan offerings did not disappoint. I had Daisy's Revenge and it was delicious - Possibly the best meat free burger I've had. The team were friendly, attentive and food was served quickly! My friends said the alcoholic milkshakes were thick and delicious too. ♥️

Portion: Just right. Not too much that the meal leaves you with indigestion and an untold amount of guilt afterward, and definitely not too little... Let's just say their portions hit the sweet spot for a full grown male adult like me. I certainly left the resto satiated and happy.
Taste: I already forgot what I had--they call their burgers these funky names...kinda cool, actually! But it was one of the best ones I've had in the UK. I had my patties well-done. You have a choice if want to see some pink in them (it says in their menu). The fried were delicious too. Mine had some dressinga on it so I had to attack them first before they got soggy.
Price: A bit pricey but nothing crazy and unreasonable.
Service: Their crew was very friendly. 👍👍 Service could have been faster though, but it wasn't that bad, just something I noticed and thought should mention here. Overall, they're great!
I'm getting their hotdogs next! 😁😁
J. A.Amazing food, alot of restaurants just serve you the same slab of flavourless beef burger with toppings to compensate for the lack of seasoning 7 bone however is not one of them. Burgers are well seasoned plus toppings are well varied. I doubt you'll find anywhere with side dishes comparable to 7 bone dirty fries are 🤤 overall this is my favourite burger place there's nowhere else that even comes close.

The new Donny J Trump burger is delicious, apart from the Wotsit top which just makes it annoying to eat! Really good to go with friends for a quick meal. We were in and out in 40 minutes so probably not somewhere youd go for a date. We always get seated quickly, and the food is good. Prices are reasonable too.

L. A.Food was tasty, don't get me wrong, but I was so disappointed to unpack my bag to know that my burger must have been the first thing to be put in the bag. And everything else was placed on top of it. The conclusion, is that I had a flat burger that looked like it had been sat on. Surely common sense would kick in and to put the more fragile burgers on top of the chunky chips boxes as appose to on the bottom!
Like I said, I was lovely, but as you can see from the picture, my £9 burger looked like this. Bit annoying when you see the pictures of what it should look like and how it is when you actually eat in the restaurant. Looks a bit sad doesnt it

S. S. (.Went for a lunchtime meal with friends, as per usual the food was AMAZING. I ordered some tater tots and halloumi fries to start, highly recommend both these items.
For main I had Robert Jonhson (a burger with truffle mayo and garlic mushrooms) which was cooked to perfection, perfectly juicy and oh so sloppy (in the best way) and a side of chili cheese fries.
Service was prompt, covid measures were really good (we had our temperature taken at the door and hand sanitiser readily available on all tables)
My only very minor complaint is that the chili cheese fries lacked the chili flavour I would have liked from them, they weren't spicy at all and felt more like braised mince so if you like spice maybe ask for a side of rasta sauce to drizzle.
Overall incredibly good as per usual. Very highly recommend
(My friend ate the vegan burger and said it was also cooked to perfection so whilst I can't vouch for vegan options it seemed incredibly with the catering provision for these options)

As ever the food was great the prince charles burger hasn't changed much but smaller than I recall but no bother still the mess making is in abundance. Chilli cheese fries to accompany the burger just added more fun and taste to my calorie fest, washed down with a root beer..oh the nostalgia. Service was great and friendly. A very enjoyable lunch.

S.Best burgers in Southampton. I actually now live in London, so when I come back to Southampton to see friends I always try to fit in a visit here. Loaded chips are great. I can just about finish a burger, fries and shake, so it's great value for the quality and amount of food. Could be slightly better as a place to have a conversation, as it's all hard floors, music and very open as a venue. But all-in-all, brilliant.

Edit: Just been there again recently and it was exceptional. We turned up on a busy friday night, yet we were served immediately and he made sure he found us a table straight away. Food was amazing as always, honestly best burgers and the chilli cheese fries are just on another level. Tried the ringwood boondoggle and that was really nice. Overall it was a really great experience and I'll definitely be back again!

Visited it again yesterday and ordered burgers and they were amazing, somd of the best I've ever had and the halloumi fries were really tasty as well as the sauce they came with. The prices was really good too, under £30 for two burgers, two sides, two drinks. The food was ready really quick as well. I can't say i enjoy the way the restaurant looks on the inside too much and the tables look and feel sticky and i also haven't enjoyed the staff that much but she was trying to be nice i guess. Would definitely recommend it for great burgers!!

They serve a range of sides, mac and cheese is a personal favourite as are the halloumi fries. Service is always with a smile and the prices are really reasonable. What's not to like?!

Their burgers and chips are incredible. It's true they don't take bookings, but every time I was asked to wait, they were keeping true to their word and calling me at the time that was given me.

I'm back to say two years on this is still one of my favourite places to eat. Cool casual dining experience, with a range of burgers to die for.
Sitting down you'll first notice the kitchen roll. This hasn't been accidentally discarded by whoever cleaned your take.
It's because each burger is packed with flavour. Your first bite sending juices down your face, neck and chest.
Some might say it's not one for a first date. I say: if you can't Bone, there's no second date.

The service was great,the food was served promptly, everything was very flavoursome but my only gripe is the burgers come in Brioche rolls,I'm not keen and would prefer the choice between that or a normal burger roll. Writing this review has made hungry and want to nip down a get a takeout!!

This place was massively bigged up to me by someone. Expected huge epicly dirty burgers but got beefed up big macs in a plasticky basket.
For what it was though, it was pretty tasty if not a tiny bit expensive. They seemed pretty busy so they must be doing something right..
If you've ever tried "meat liquor" in London, this is a little like that just not as good.
My advice to 7bone: Get bigger, get dirtier or maybe lower your prices.
A. H.Truly incredible burgers and sides at affordable prices. Highly recommend the red basket meals. The chilli cheese fries are fantastic, my personal favourite. I've also tried the halloumi fries and poutine, which were also very good. Winner winner is my favourite burger. A suped up McChicken sandwich essentially. The special burgers are also always worth a go. The recent marmite burger was a must for any lover of that divisive brown stuff : ) The atmosphere is cool and laid back, with a deliberate run down decor. The staff are always friendly and helpful, even at busy times. If you arrive after 7, you may have to go on a waiting list. But it's worth it.

F. g. p. c.7bone don't take reservations and so we waited over an hour for a table - not inside the restaurant because there's no seating or space around the bar, but outside. Two people had been seated on a table set up for 8 which was very frustrating to see as we were a group of 6.
The service was good once we were seated, but a lot of things had to be altered because of out of stocks.
The food itself was good, but not the best burger I've had. Also the truffle mac and cheese is made with the wierd processed bright yellow cheese. Tasted OK, but not high quality. Sorry 7Bone, but in future, I'll be returning to Rockstone when I want a dirty burger.

The main portions with a side as well as a milkshake are the perfect combo and taste amazing. The staff are also great and speedy with service on top of loving to have a chit chat or explain the menu.

E. S.7 bone is a great restaurant for meals out with friends and family offering great good at reasonable prices. The burgers are always cooked how you would like and there is a great selection of sides. Drinks are super funky with milkshakes and cocktails and they offer meal deals.

It tasted like they used cheese singles to melt on fries which leaves it feeling very cloying on the roof of your mouth when you eat it. Very nice place though, rustic decor and great alternative background music. A solid rec.
B.Only been here twice with my kids, visits 6-9 months apart...noticeable difference in portion size and I was a little disappointed this time. £42.00 for the three of us, I don't mind paying £50.00 just ram our basket meals full of fries and give me a big fat patty 👍. Don't reduce the portion sizes to keep prices the same. The food is great and my Son is a fussy eater, but they have no problem making him a plain hamburger topped with just bacon. I'll be back soon, but next time I'm ordering extra fries to make up for the missing ones ✌
A. I.I've read great reviews about this place and our family decided to give it a try, but the burgers we got were rather average. Burger buns didn't look fresh and chips were soggy. Onion rings were OK, but others at our table thought they were not good at all.
Overall, it's not a bad food and definitely a lot better than a lot of other places, but I don't think it's worth the top rating.

O.If I could go to 7 bone every day I would but I think I’d be clinically obese within a fortnight! Dropped in here for lunch on a sunny Wednesday afternoon and the staff were lovely and welcoming! I was also pleasantly surprised to see a new menu out! Great new provisionals can’t say I’m gonna miss the nuggets! I tried the Rasta and blue cheese tendies and they were amazing and staff very happy to help with explaining the new menu items! Service was excellent and food arrived quickly and was delicious! I know where I’m going once Next time I’m back in Southampton

W.Service and burgers were great, was not won over by the sides that could done with more inspiration, had a dirty chips that had a huge dollop of processed mayo on it that was a little sickly and some fried onions that consisted of about 5-6 onions that had been diced breaded a little then deep fried, so would say less quantity and more quality in this case. Prices were reasonable with deals with burgers and sides.

J. B.[lunchtime 05 February 2016] This is the fifth time we have eaten here since it opened, again we WERE NOT disappointed!
I have posted as good photos as I could get out of my lowly Samsung mobile, the only way they could have done justice would have been 4k resolution with a scratch and sniff card thrown in to boot! The presentation was first rate, the "before" photo was taken after a first lunge at our din-dins.
We dined heartily on loaded burgers, hot wings, fries and onion straws..... I was disappointed that a carry to car service did not extend to the diners themselves as we were busting, and we are certainly not known for reputations as light eaters!
Get down there, they don't do reservations, but with 5-10 drinking houses within distance, take a chill pill, a pint and await your table!

S.let me start out by saying that i consider myself a huge burger fan. and by huge i don't just mean i have a large body due to the number of burgers i've eaten but also how BIG of a fan i am. now that's out of the way, onto the matter at hand (the matter being the burger, the hand being... well the hand used to eat it). the burger with blue cheese was honestly exceptional. for a start, it got the basics right - putting the burger between the two pieces of the bun, you'd be surprised how many places forget the correct order and put a piece of bread between two patties. the blue cheese to burger ratio was spot on (i'd say roughly 1g of blue cheese to 10g of patty). this place however isn't just about the burgers, the 'dirty' sides tasted really nice despite the fact they were dirty. we went there with the intention of ordering the poutine, and boy oh boy did we order it. and then we ate it. as well as tasting fantastic, i enjoyed the novelty of pouring the gravy onto the chips myself (also great to know you're saving the chef in the kitchen a job so he can crack on with the halloumi fries). which brings me onto the second side, the halloumi fries. they were quite possibly the standout part of the meal, the best of a great bunch. the chicken batter around them gave a welcome crispiness that lacks in many other halloumi fries i have had down the years.
the staff were all friendly and seemed to be in good spirits, something you don't see as much at their competitor, mcdonalds (although wage differences may also be a factor, but that's a debate for another time).
i live at the opposite end of the country and i'm already considering coming back just to eat here. there are so many mouth watering things on the menu but i would probably just order the same again as i feel my choices were spot on. and finally, despite the name i didn't actually find a single bone in my meal, let alone 7. otis

J. H.I have been a huge fan of 7Bone since they first opened and have told everyone I can that they have THE best burgers available.
My wife and I have made an effort to find a better burger all around the world; we first tried London, we made special trips from Southampton specifically to check out some of the highly regarded burger joints up there. Some of them were very good, maybe even as good once or twice. But they cannot equal the consistently perfect quality of a 7Bone beef patty.
So we went to Texas, the home of beef. Where they will have you believe the original cow was born, reared, slaughtered, minced and made into a delicious burger. And they were pretty good. But were they as good as good as Prince Charles Is Overated!? Nope. Not even close. Stick to barbecue Texas, your burgers ain’t got jack on the guys in Southampton.
Then we went to Hawaii, where we had been told of a special herd of walking burgers on the big island. The waygu burgers were nice, but they were nothing compared to a Peter Green.
You’re a series of islands, you got poke, don’t get get greedy.
We’ve had burgers in Budapest, but I’d rather have a Robert Johnson.
Croatia is really nice, but not as nice as Shuffle To Straight Time.
And I tell you what, you can’t get a Triple-B there... so there’s only so long I could stay in Hong Kong.
