Just want to say the staff were amazing and so lovely. We had a dinner really late at night ( around 10:00-10:30 ) and they were still fun and great. Our whole group LOVED our burgers fries and milkshakes we ate so much we had to roll out of the place. Also if you look on the ceiling at the security cameras there are little cows perched on them !

Great design and atmosphere with poor customer service. We ordered Byron burger look was good but it was cold and without any taste! I expect better burger with this price. We asked for the sauce and they bring for us mayonnaise and chilli mayo and they charge us for sauce that was a big surprise. How is possible you order burger in the restaurant and they charge you for sauce!!!! They also had a service charge, they wrote it’s for their team but I was not happy with their service.

I liked when we were coming in without having pre-booked a table on Saturday night. That was a huge relief for me. The burger was excellent and they have simple menu that you cannot go wrong with it. The service is pretty good as well.

Loved it, great choice of burgers, this one was the chili burger, the only thing I was disappointed in was the fries they seem to be coated in what tasted like garlic salt, shame! An acquired taste I guess but not for me. Other than that, great service, good views.

Compared to other Byron restaurants, I think this one lacked the same fine detail as the others. Burgers were nice....genuinely juiciy. .but it's the fine detail that was lacking....what I expect from a £80 meal isn't a burger that looks like its been put together within 5 seconds. Waitress was nice....very expensive for what you get. Family of 4 with drinks 2 starters and 4 burgers, cost just under £80.....

Very clean inside, friendly servers and food was good. Just a little expensive for what you get. Note burgers don't come with chips, you have to add these on after, this is what bumps the price up. The servers do that annoying thing of asking how the food is, when you've got a mouthful eating. Don't go to the toilet, the doors are right on the seats so it's awkward getting in and out. There are some in the center that are better. And beware this place is really hard to find on a satnav.

Went on a Saturday night and it was busy but we were seated straight away without having booked. The waitress was very apologetic about the long wait but we really weren't waiting that long at all for the food, and when it came it was fantastic as always! This is one of the few places you can get a burger cooked medium which is just how I like it. Overall great food and great see!

Been going here for years with my grandchildren, and always had a delicious burger. Unfortunately not this time. I went for a chicken fillet, bad mistake. Huge amount of batter covering a very small, dry, overcooked chicken fillet. Will definitely not be ordering chicken again.

Burgers and Mac and cheese were yum, but over priced for what they were. Chips have to be ordered and paid for separately to the burgers, and ours came long after our burgers arrived (as did the Mac and cheese) and were also cold. To be paying that much I’d at least expect my entire meal to come out together. Service was also a bit slow considering it was quite quiet.

A very, very nice meal and experience here. We engaged with 4 different staff members on our visit and all were pleasant and engaged. We had the buffalo wings to start - really delicious, but just wish they came with wet wipes. Surely that’s essential given the sticky mess?! For the mains we had two beef burgers (one chilli and one cheese) — both nice and were cooked as requested. “Cheesy” chips probably weren’t worth the uplift in my opinion since it was only a mere drizzle of sauce I think. French fries otherwise good. The mac and cheese was also good. The general vibe and atmosphere was nice. We downloaded the ”Secret DJ” app where you can pick your own songs while you dine. Each user has a limit of 3 songs but if you each downloaded the app then you’re sorted. A nice addition to a great meal. On my next visit I’m keen to try the courgette fries and all of their other delicious sides/starters!

We had to wait quite awhile on a Friday night because we didn’t have a booking. Who makes a reservation for a burger joint? Anyway the staff was nice, friendly and helpful with regard to food allergies. Tables were large and booths were comfortable. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun. The bun wasn’t bad at all but the chicken was literally as hard as a rock, not edible at all and a waste. Not sure what they did to cook it but it shouldn’t have been served like that. The fries were okay but weren’t particularly hot. My spouse had a hamburger and though they didn’t ask how he wanted it cooked, it was served very rare. That’s not safe and not what most people want. Pink and juicy is one thing but barely cooked and all red inside is another. He ate it because we were starving by that point but we both said we wouldn’t return. Byron itself is good if you go to one that is run well and pride is taken with the cooking but this one wasn’t and needs massive improvement in the kitchen. Three stars for the friendly staff, clean table, and drink selection.

Menus got worse for vegans. One option now and not as good. Chip portion very generous but had funny taste. Have to pay extra for chips. And also get given a service charge but not told about it. Had a burger that was cold as well. Tbh quite expensive for what it is. Would recommend going down the road to reddog. Similar prices, and only one vegan burger, but its a lot bigger/tastier. Atmosphere isn't as echoey as well and they do fab cocktails.

I've only really started eating at Byron's and their Halloween burger is to die for as it is as a stand alone. I ordered off of Deliveroo as a 'Self-care' day, stay in and do nothing vibes. As a lot of things are with COVID, life is hectic right now and stressful so the little extra treats were a really nice pick-up that warranted me to scramble to send a nice 5* for the team here. People in hospitality do not get enough recognition and as someone who works in this industry, I know well enough that more often than not, you have a shift where everyone and their mother just wants to complain about long food waits during a weekend lunch period or that their burger didnt come with enough side salad. They usual, y'know? So whilst this is just a small three para post of gratuity, know that at the very least... Today you have made one slightly recluse lesbian's day. Thank you guys for the kindness and generosity. There isn't enough of that these days <333

Went here during a Sunday lunchtime. Staff attentive but not in your face. Good choice of menu and reasonably priced. Chips are extra but get a choice of fries or sweet potato fries. Good choice of wine however we ordered a bottle of Peroni and it didn't come with a glass, on asking for one no Peroni glass just a plain pint glass that was wet. Bet of a let down. Overall impressed. Good atmosphere. Outdoor seating as well.

A bit strange having to pay for dips but the food is amazing. The B-Rex burger is amazing, such a big onion ring inside and the American cheese is on point! I'd recommend the cream soda they do, I would have had several if it wasn't my lunch break! Yes several...thats how good it is. Great portion for sides, couldn't finish a side of sweet potato fries by myself. Look forward to returning and trying the oreo milkshake!

Seated quickly polite staff and table re laid and cleaned. Good choice of mains and starters. Burger was cooked to my liking (Meduim) and bun did not disintegrate like some others. Side orders fresh and hot. The onion rings batter was light and not greasy. I would recommend the Haloumi fries very tasty. Would come again and prices very reasonable.

We took our baby girl of 2 weeks to Byron this evening and had a great time. The food and service was top shelp, especially considering we are awkward customers with our dietary requirements. We were served by Bella who went through our choices with a fine toothed comb and she was incredibly patient (noticeably more so than other restaurants we have been to)! Would recommend this particular restaurant to anyone and to top it off, as a "random act of kindness" they didn't charge us for our meal to celebrate our new family member!

Spacious dining area, great location in Southampton at West Quay Shopping Centre. Nothing to complain about the burger. The only thing is that this place seems to experience staff shortage at the moment so everything may be slower than one would normally expect.

Food was very tasty and arrived quickly however the mains did arrive borderline cold but was too hungry to send it back. Be warned that there are only 1 or 2 draft options and other than those you're looking at £5/6 for a can of beer... If you want sauce with your meal, you have to pay extra for that and they also automatically add a 10% service charge to your bill. Would return... If someone else was paying.

I cannot describe with words how incredible the food here is. As a vegetarian, a burger place was the last I thought I would be dining out in, but I'm so glad I did. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was nice, and as I mentioned the food was phenomenal. There is an option to make any burger into a vegetarian Pattie which is such a nice touch rather than being restricted by a small menu. I highly recommend and I will be back, a lot. This was genuinely the best burger I have ever eaten, see for yourself.

The food is good but I don't think represents good value for money. I never ever understand why restaurants serve food on a bit of paper and then on a plate. Poor value soft-drinks compared to the competition (TGI/Nandos are unlimited, most places serve coke by the glass, not a tiny glass bottle). The vegan food is only as good as much cheaper places (my vegan friend rates the burger at Wetherspoon as better than this...). The bacon/cheese fries here are pretty poor, you get a tiny layer of cheese on top, so after the first few chips all of the bacon and cheese has gone. The "classic" burger doesn't have cheese, which seems mad.

The food was good and the service was nice, but some vegan friends couldn't have a proper meal as they had run out of the vegan patties so they ended up having just chips. I would recommend adjusting the menu to have a wider variety of options, as it's a pretty popular diet now. Or at least they could let us know when you have run out of the patties, if we knew in advance we would have just rebooked somewhere else.

Currently dealing withe multiple allergies for a breastfed baby, so I'm avoiding soy, dairy, egg and gluten. They were very helpful showing me where to look for what I might eat. Although I had researched what I could have on the website to see if I could eat anything. Food was tasty, and arrived quickly. Baby made a terrible mess with his food, but no one minded. Would definitely go again.

This was a hard one. It's expensive, my wings were quite tough and your sat in a pretty bare concrete box so the background noise is quite high. Family enjoyed theirs, beer is very expensive. We stopped off for an early dinner travelling back from London on a very rainy Thursday afternoon before getting the ferry back to The Island. We were greeted by Ollie the Manager, who was extremely welcoming, promptly took our order and very helpful when covering food intolerances. The food was, as it always is, super tasty and just what we needed. We haven’t visited in a while due to Covid and although banana milkshakes aren’t on the menu any more-(our favourite!) the chocolate and the salted caramel milkshakes were equally nice! Lovely food but we were a table of 7 with 3 kids with us and they had the cheek to add a service charge to our bill. Don't mind if it's all adults but not on when it's kids. Very expensive for what you get.

Excellent burgers and a lovely set-up. Got that American diner feel which works really well for the type of food. The staff are busy but helpful and the service is pretty quick. They'll ask if you like your burger blue all the way through to black. The drinks and shakes are lovely too, and both is good size! The menu is isn't too pricey, and for about £15 you can leave feeling full and satisfied.

A mainly burger restaurant situated in the newer part of the West Quay development. I really liked the decor, it was busy with a good atmosphere. We had the usual fayre of burger chips & salad washed down with a glass of coke. It was really tasty, if not messy! The service was good and the price was competitive. I’d definitely return. I’d give it 5 stars if it had a decent varied dessert menu.

We visited the week between Christmas and New Year, so were fully expecting the place to be busy, which it was, there was a 20 minute wait for a table, which was fine, and we were informed that they were short staffed. We were seated and our orders taken promptly, but were really disappointed that after around a 15 minute wait, our food arrived barely warm, which shouldn't happen if cooked fresh go order. We ate it regardless and it was tasty, but then followed a further 15 minute wait to get the bill so we could leave. After two previous visits that were amazing, I am disappointed to say that I wouldn't return again. The food was okay, but expensive for what it is, and the whole experience want really enjoyable.

Even though the food was amazing the service was absolutely awful. me and two of my friends went in an ordered just three burgers and three drinks between us and we had to wait 50 minutes. Two of us got our food whilst one of us didn't actually get any at all, the waitress was very apologetic and said the food that we did have was on the house. It's a shame to see a place like that have the service that it does because it has the potential to be so much better is a lovely restaurant and yes the food is lovely but that service just needs a little bit more speed and Efficiency. If that could change I'll definitely come here again 😀

However a week later I ordered through Deliveroo and the food arrived cold after waiting an hour, had my order wrong (ordered cheesy chips received plain chips), and burger was over cooked. We had my grandsons 21st birthday here the food was Really nice and our waitress was Amazzzing she waited our table in a highly professional manner very friendly nothing was too much an ask for her. We could not say the same about the manageress she was unprofessional and very flippant in her manner. We spent nearly £300-00 and politely asked “would the birthday Lad get a free birthday meal” as these days most places we have eaten at do. It was not an issue for us at all it became an issue when the manageress treated us with total disregard. Such a shame as we really liked the food and waitress service.

Food here is always nice, you get your chips with the burger and do not have to order separately, they ask if you have any allergies when seating you and again when you order. Milkshakes are awesome. Food is reasonably priced for the quality. The burgers are served medium unless you request rare or well done.

While the new menu is less enjoyable than the previous one I find the burgers here excellent. A nice place to go with friends but, much like many of the restaurants in the Westquay, not the kind of place I would go for an occasion with family. Also the music was so very loud the evening I was there making it hard to hear the waiter and my friend. If you're the kind of person who enjoys a nice simple burger in a casual atmosphere which isn't fast food (try Five Guys in that case) you'll enjoy Byron.

I often have burgers and tend to enjoy them but rarely have a burger which I can say was at another level. Until I tried Byron's "The New Byron"... This is *not* a family friendly review. The only thing I could imagine comparing this burger to is a night with a top class escort with the most depraved tastes. Like our escort, the burger was presented beautifully and cleanly. And then you start eating it. The juices quickly start flowing while you munch away at it, and your hands eventually become covered in everything the burger contains. Napkins are a necessity. The brioche roll manages to hold itself together without disintegrating, but you have to carefully hold your burger for fear of it all falling out. You certainly want to order a side of fries to mop things up. When you and the burger are finished, you feel like a hot but satisfied steamy mess and just need to relax. If you smoke, now is probably a good time to go out and evaluate your life choices. And consider booking your next encounter with the new byron...

This is my favourite burger restaurant, definitely trumping the other local options. Service is always great, and they make sure to check for allergies etc. I have eaten here many times, and they have not once let me down - even on a busy night. Great prices also, and their shakes are amazing.

The food is lovely, the staff are polite and friendly and the restaurant itself has a really nice look. However, they seem to have a problem with getting their deliveries on time as two of the four times I've tried to visit they have run out of essentials. This is unfortunate and not in their control, however what has frustrated me is that I booked a table on New Years for 7 people and was not informed ahead of time at all despite the restaurant having all my contact details. This left us in the difficult situation of being a large group without a reservation on a busy night out. On top of this, one of the previous times I have visited was during a promotion where several restaurants were offering special prices, and despite being advertised as such, Byron would not honour that discount price. I highly recommend Byron if you're in town and looking for a place to eat, but I'd consider them unreliable if you're needing to plan ahead, or only visiting because of a promotion.

Restaurant very big and clean. Staff friendly and mostly attentive. They took a little too long to bring out the initial drinks order. I tried the chicken burger and it was the best I’ve ever had! A nice selection of other burgers available. The beef burger looked lovely too. Prices for food and drinks very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a really nice burger!

Came here with my family and I and were so very pleased with our experience in this restaurant. From start to end the service was exactly how it should be in this sort of industry. Our waitress Sinead was so very kind and patient with our children, taking their order first and speaking with them, getting down at eye level to make them feel more comfortable. That alone was just above and beyond, and then she takes their hand and (asks for permission which was great), showing them around the restaurant to find the hidden toy cows. Her interaction with kids is wonderful and she told us she actually use to work in schools. my wife and I watched her with other kids in the restaurant and she was the same with them! She even asked my wife if we would prefer to sit somewhere a little private as she is breastfeeding. We have never been asked this before so we found this very inclusive and thoughtful. We ordered all the recommendations given and were not left dissapointed! The food came out hot and tasty, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The whole experience was great and our kids cannot wait to go back again. Thanks again Sinead for such a wonderful lunch!

I can't fault the service or any of the staff, the product just wasn't worth the price. A fairly unsubstantial burger will cost you £8 - £12 ish, and then you have to pay extra for fries which adds another £3-£5 to the bill. So you end up paying £15 a head when you add in a drink, to have a meal only marginally above McDonald's quality.

This is quite a large Byron Burger with high ceilings which makes it pretty noisy. That aside, it's the time of the year that the Cheesemas burger is back on the menu being nearly Christmas. So I decided to go for the Christmas set menu comprising Cheesemas burger, fries and a drink of which I had Prosecco which is little different with a burger! the food arrived looking delicious only to sadly find out it the onion ring and burger was cold to the touch. It was returned and a new one provided albeit the onion ring was still cold. Assuming that it was meant to be cold I ate it but was not really as appetising as it could have been. Eventually I discovered that it should have been hot and to be fair to them, they removed it from the bill without asking. The service in general was all good but just a slightly disappointing burger despite it being their signature Christmas special.

Although when we mentioned about the bill taking so long it was because Marco was arranging the birthday treat bless him. Would deffintly recommend comming here.
