Had the T-Bone steak, it was very big and cooked perfectly. Also enjoyed the two for £10 cocktails. The staff were lovely. Clean and comfortable, great atmosphere, fairly priced. Definitely recommend.

The food is delicious, Amazing customer service and friendly atmosphere. It has a Separate sheesha sitting area. . Ordered : T bone steak with peppercorn sauce ( cooked to perfection was medium rare as we like it ) 😋 Chicken burger with fries ( we were also provided extra home-style chips which were on-house)😊 Nachos ( loaded, cheesy and full of flavours) strawberry mojito( a bit strong in taste but was perfect) pina colada drinks . Been there a few times already. With family and friends. Once ordered T-bone with mushroom sauce. Was the best I've tasted by far. 2nd visit I had the cow & Chicken burger with sweet potato fries. It was brilliant. An upper class halal food restaurant that you can go to for special occasions. Ive been to many other halal places before but they lack customer service and mainly atmosphere. Cattle was definitely what Southampton needed and I hope it stays around for years to come.

Great steakhouse, decently priced and very chilled atmosphere, when we arrived we were the only diners and the staff were only too happy to help us choose on the menu, serve us soon after and were pleasant throughout our entire visit. Music was a bit too loud for the restaurant, could be turned down just a little when it's rather busy I'd expect. Food was really tasty and the steaks were cooked as per our order ( both asked for rare ) Would definitely come back here for sure as it's lovely and not too far a walk from the city centre high street.

I booked a table for two for a Wednesday night but it wasn't really needed as it was quite quiet. Service was good and waitress attentive although she was on her own most of the time. The other waiter appeared to be sat outside. We ordered two steaks (fillet and sirloin) both ordered medium rare but both came a little undercooked. I'd rather that than the other way and we both enjoyed the steaks. My fries were a little bland. My husband had the spicy fries which he enjoyed. I think we'll be going back. Total bill (2 steaks and 4 beers (they were 2 for 1)) was just short of £50.

Been here a few times in the last couple of months. They made my friends birthday perfect. Thanks to the staff for singing happy birthday and bringing a dessert as a birthday cake. All the new staff are well trained and welcoming. Their chicken and steaks are the best in town! Lovely cocktails. Such a great vibe at this restaurant and that is why we always go back. Nice restaurant with friendly staff, we had a but of a wait for our food but they were very busy and we didn't mind. There was an issue with our table booking which meant we didn't have table booked when we arrived even though we booked and had it confirmed using the opentable app. However the restaurant acknowledged the issue and managed to seat us anyway! Warm welcome by staff, in to a clean and aesthetic restaurant. Halal Menu offering a large selection and at reasonable prices. Food was good quality, however, the sizzling skillet could do with slight improvements such as adding a few more things than just sautéed onions. Overall, a great place that serves Halal food, friendly staff and a great Menu. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed. Went with friends. Didn't have food. We had drinks and shisha. We were offered a top up on our shisha shortly before we were leaving, seemed routine. Bill arrived, we were charged for two shishas. Just seemed a bit cheeky. It was removed upon questioning after having to make a bit of a fuss but ruined our evening.

This is an amazing find in Southampton. The friendly waitress recommended what she likes on the menu, and served us with a smile. Like she was happy to work there. It enhanced our dining experience. The food was sooo good that we went there the next day to try other items from the menu. I would highly recommend this place. A lovely small sheesha balcony outside was heated really well, and the sheesha waiter was just as friendly. Well equiped woth gvmnt Covid guidlines. The manager was really good in dealing with a slight hiccup we had. We will definitely be going again (post covid lockdown) and recommending this place to friends and family.

One observation, should have been offered a glass rather than assuming everyone happy to drink from the bottle. This place was the only positive in my three day stay in Southampton.

Lovely piece of rump steak served with sauce of our choice, chips,onions and side salad. Steak cooked to perfection and very tender. Chips delicious. Went last night, unfortunately the excellent steak was let down by sloppy service, two of the four steaks were wrong one totally wrong and one meant to be rare was well done, also all meant to be 12 oz and all were different sizes......but saying that they were very nice steaks once sorted. Ask to sit away from the door if you do go as it constantly gets opened and gets uncomfortable. Nothing offered off the very expensive bill even though one of us had to eat alone due to the steak being cooked incorrectly. Also had to ask for the sauce that we had already ordered and had to ask a couple of times for water which we had already ordered.

Customer service was great from the waiter 'Angel' who dealt with us this evening which was reserved for 15 people. And thanks to the manager 'Sunny' for making this a birthday to remember. Food and atmosphere was great with an outdoor shisha lounge looking forward to next time.

I went with my family to celebrate Father’s Day. We pre booked our table which is easily done through their website. Seated straight away once we were there. Menu choice is amazing. Really good for fussy eaters as there is so much variety such as the kids menu has small portion of steak, chicken poppers- but your general nuggets!!! Pasta, burgers and much more! Once the food had arrived it looked very apportioning and tasted amazing. We had a few different drinks such as milkshakes, mock tails and juices. Milkshakes were a good choice for the kids as they were very tasty and you get a LOT of drink for the price that you pay! The meal was amazing such a lovely atmosphere and a great way to celebrate Father’s Day! Everyone got treated! The location is really great if you have kids as your opposite a park and close to lots of parking, so really appealing for families. Overall really impressed and can’t wait to go back soon!

An ok experience, it's not a restaurant as such, more of a steak shack, but that's fine, knew that was the case. Good steaks, and nicely presented food. Starters a bit disappointing, the calamari was a bit over battered, and mozzarella sticks a bit bland, but otherwise fine. One tip if you go for the sizzler steaks, if you like it medium rare, select rare, because the steak keeps cooking while on the sizzler. Burgers looked nice as well, definitely worth a visit, but give yourself plenty of time, and don't expect food out within 5-10 minutes..

For a steakhouse, I expected better beef. My group had 2 steaks and 2 burgers. Both steak were not cooked evenly and were tough. The burger was a lot better, a nice juicy patty with a good portion of chips on the side. It's more of a bar which sells steak than a steakhouse.

They dealt with the amount of different meals very well and courses came out at the different times they were meant to ! What an epic experience the atmosphere was great and the food even better top quality felt like I was in the states the meat was cooked to perfection and the starters were brilliant excellent customer service had to wait a bit for the food but that was forgotten when our steak arrived had the Rib eye Steak cattle house style and starters were fried wings and grilled peri peri wings. Liked it so much I ordered take out from there the next day and was delivered as promised fresh and piping hot cannot recommend this place enough best steak house in Southampton hand down

We booked this to celebrate my sons 21st birthday, it didn't start off well as they hadnt reserved a table for us! Eventually they moved some guys (& there food) to another table and we sat down....30 minutes later we had to ask to be served as nobody had been to take our order. We ordered a bottle of wine but they didn't have it in stock. The food was nice when it came and my son was offered a free cocktail for his birthday so that was a nice touch but all in all it was a disappointing evening for what was meant to be a special occasion.

The best steak I've had to date plus great friendly service, the lounge area has a nice relaxed atmosphere and is great for meeting friends or for business meetings. Cattle is a really good place for networking as lots of locals come to this place after work to relax. A friend brought me down and now I really enjoy chilling out here in the evening. I would recommend the mocktails, the strawberry mojito is really good 👌👌

This was my 1st visit to Cattle Steakhouse. We were her to celebrate my nephew's birthday so we were a party of 7. We were quickly served with drinks by a smiling waitress 😁. The menu was different in a couple of ways and led us to think a bit longer about our order but the waitress was very patient and helpful with our queries. Our starters arrived all together except 1. 😔 But they were very apologetic about it. I ordered Onion rings,they were huge and I thoroughly enjoyed them. For my main I ordered Surf 'n' Turf. The steaks was very tender and cooked just as I asked, medium rare. I would have liked a couple more prawns,they were also cooked very well. I ordered a side of corn on cob and was very disappointed in the quality of them. The 1st that arrived I asked to be replaced. They were a strange colour yellow and there was gaps between the kernel,dried out. They were replaced straight away but the replacement were similar. I did have on bite and it tasted not very nice and it was tough as old boots. I sent them back and asked for it to be taken of the bill. My dessert was fantastic,a honey 'n' caramel sundae! It wasn't as sweet as I was expecting and was really yum! All in all I like it here and my only gripe was the corn on cob. I think it should be removed from the menu if it is always like it. It can only be described as tough cattle corn! I would have given 5* if it wasn't for the corn.

Considering this establishment had been open less than a week prior to the earlier poor reviews I believe they were somewhat harsh. I ate here with my brother two nights ago (Apr 10) a week after opening, service could not be faulted and the steaks very good. My brother had sirloin and I had ribeye. We booked a table for a birthday meal for myself and my son. Any review I ever write is about constructive feedback not about slating an experience but giving a balanced review. I have been lucky to eat in restaurants in London and part of my previous employment attend soft openings of new venues to provide feedback etc.These include Michelin starred to high end hotel restaurants with resident chefs. I also have eaten in various locations around the world. I wont take photos of meals as the proof is in the eating sometimes and you can have style over substance. Overall impressions of the layout and cleanliness was good. The menu is simple but provides a good selection of items that are in keeping with the branding. Please repair your carpet by the entrance it is a trip hazard and needs glueing down or replaced. Put some decent lights in the toilets. Starters - we ordered a selection of items that included halloumi fries, onion rings. The portions were good however my starter was dressed with raw white onion and raw sliced chilli. They served no purpose and brought nothing to plate so my advice is lose this garnish. Mains - we ordered a selection of steaks from Ribeye, Fillet, and Sirloin all were cooked to medium rare. I noticed one steak was a little under but otherwise the meat was very tender. However the sides and sauces need tweaking. The peppercorn sauce was way to spicy as it was a base sauce with powered pepper not peppercorns. The BBQ sauce was again way to spicy as was the side dish of spicy rice. We can tolerate some spice or heat but these were almost inedible. Equally my wife noted the garlic mash had to much garlic. The side dish of corn on the cob was clearly frozen and reheated. If you are going to use corn on the cob it has to be fresh I have never used frozen corn of the cob its too tough and again inedible. This item was removed from our bill. The burger was ok but I have had better. The burger was a little lost and overwhelmed by the additional items. The burger should be the star of the show? Desserts - we ordered a selection of cheesecakes and ice cream based dishes. Please change your supplier of cheesecakes! They are more cake based than a true reflection of a cheesecake. The staff wouldn't have known but the majority of our party were born in the USA and we know a cheesecake when we see or taste it. They had too much setting agent in them and base was not thick or contained that nice buttery base. Staff - good but maybe not all gather at the bar area and have a chin wag float around a bit and check on the guests? We had to chase up one starter and one dessert. The front of house chap in the suit seemed a little more switched on casting a watchful eye over the restaurant. Kitchen - I had a good view through to the kitchen area. Maybe get your cooking staff some uniform? If I am honest they looked like a couple of blokes in a burger van and none wearing headgear, whites or similar. Maybe use some fresh salad leaves that are not from a bag from the local supermarket? Dress the salad rather than chuck some leaves on a plate and some halved cherry toms. We can see what you are using in the kitchen. The kitchen did look clean. I note from another review the smell of cooking seeping into the eating area. I would agree a few of our party commented their clothing smelt of cooked meat. The bill in my opinion did reflect the overall experience but there is alot competition with this type of cuisine and if they could tweak a few things then it could really hit the mark. Its almost there but not quite. Would I go back? Most probably not I think Miller and Carter provide a better standard for comparable price or for burgers and hot dogs 7bone.
