Love this place, we are happy it’s back after the pandemic. Truly the best of its kind, food is so fresh and tasty and amazing value for the size of the portions you get. This time we had lunch offer and it was £23 for 2 huge meals and coffee and tea! Peppercorn pork fillet and chicken kebab wrap. Highly recommend to everyone!

I enjoyed my meal here. I tried the bifeki and it looked authentically handmade, really tasty and with great sides. Service was attentive and the place was clean and well located. I will come back for sure.

This is by far the best Greek restaurant I have visited. The staff are a delight. Genuinely friendly and helpful. The food is perfect and the price is good! My friend and I both had the T-bone steak and it was so tasty. His wife and mine had liver and bacon from their special board! They love it so much that they only order that everytime we go!

It was very quiet there when we went on a Friday night. I ordered a 'Chicken Maryland'- it was the weirdest combination of food items I have ever experienced and the menu didn't explain what it was properly. The carbonara my friend had looked OK though. The service from the staff was good though.

We visited George’s last Saturday evening for dinner and it was wonderful. The restaurant was full with every table busy, but the staff were so attentive and friendly. The food was lovely with generous portions. We’re looking forward to returning and enjoyed spending our money and time at an independent restaurant rather than a chain!

Visited for a spontaneous date night and was treated to some good, homemade rustic Greek food. The Mousaka was beautiful, with lots of aubergine, and the lamb kleftico literally fell off the bone. We had a couple starters, though should have had one to share. If you are looking for a local and independent restaurant with good food and friendly service, you can’t go wrong at George’s..

The best Original Greek restaurant. Had a table for 18 tonight. Food was as ever outstanding, fresh and hot, and all got served together. Had the filo pastry king prawns to start, and scampi for main the chips are homemade 😋. The staff were attentive and helpful, and service was brilliant. Thanks to Harriet for replying to my emails so quickly, and for allowing us to bring our own cake. Would highly reccomend. We will be back thanks so much. 10 out of 10

Great meal at George's on Friday the 21st of May with some good friends. The Calamari Salad I had was wonderful as the food always is. Some amazing customer service from extremely friendly staff. Have been to Georges many times over more than 20 years and it is always a great experience. Will be booking for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks, can't wait. I’ve been going to this restaurant since I was 2 so that makes it 23 years and counting. Whether it’s a table of 2 or a table of 30 the service is impeccable. I love George’s the only bad experience I’ve ever had, was having to to decide what I wanted to eat, there are so many great dishes to choose from. I live in Canada now, but every time I come home for a visit it’s an absolute must to go to George’s. My last visit I celebrated my birthday there. We have been eating at George's for years. In fact it is the only restaurant in town that I ever look forward to eating at. The food is always good, no matter what you order, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the prices are extremely reasonable. 6 of us were out on Friday evening for a celebration and having never been disappointed with our experience at Georges it was an easy decision to book a table for our first meal out since lockdown restrictions eased. Everything was brilliant from the food to the atmosphere and Viv and Harriet didn't stop all night, but towards the end of the evening we heard a commotion and a customer was stood up arguing with Harriet. This lady reduced Viv to tears and was clearly being very awkward, rude and disrespectful. However atleast one of the members of her party had the decency to stay behind and try to apologise for her disgraceful behaviour. George's is always a great place to visit, we have been regulars for years and will continue to be regulars for years to come. Please don't be put off by any disgruntled reviews that have been left as they certainly won't reflect any experience that you will have here I can guarantee it!

Been going their for years and its been great 5star meals and service. Went yesterday and the service is still great. The mixed grill is not as good as previous visits. The dishes for the extra mushrooms and onions are a lot smaller. When I had a drink a small glass of coke was 3pound. My wife had a fish platter very disapointing. Prices for the meal have gone up. Hope its better when I go back at christmas.

We had pork steak pepper sauce and pepper steak and pepper chicken with cream sauce and double or triple cooked homemade chips which were delicious all of the meat was tender and cooked to perfection This is now my favourite restaurant in Southampton and will definitely return again soon .

Myself and my wife visited last night. Having had many a Meze over the last 25 years both in the UK and Cyprus I can honestly say the Meze at George's is the best we've ever had. Each course was fab but the fish was extremely good and the moussaka was just the best. Great service, friendly staff. If we're ever in the area again we will only eat here. Also, the whole social distancing thing inside the restaurant was very clear.

I was a regular user of this restaurant when I worked nearby but that was in the 1960s. When I ate there again several decades later the quality & value were just as good. Not quite as personal or that wonderful Cyprus hospitality it used to have. First revisit in a few years, so. We arrived at 8.30pm as normally do when eaten there in past, we ordered maze for two, now this meal is a lot of dishes, and presented slowly, over the evening, and the many times I have eaten here in past, that is how this meal was served. Each course, spaced out, acompanied with some friendly banter with the waiters. This time.. things different, even tho, only 3 other customers in restaurant, 3 courses arrived one after other, all piled up on table, we hadn't even finished the first drink and they were trying to bring the fourth course. Had to ask to slow up, let the food digest before more food.. but, 5 mins later the next few courses arrived one after other. Felt rushed and, well, even though service was efficient, and quick.. just not personal, friendly and laid back, which in my opinion was one of the best qualities of this restaurant. Food was great, no complaints on taste, fab, but.. the experience is not what it used to be..
