Great Italian food. The restaurant feels upscale and the food tastes upscale. The "starters" are good enough for 2 people. We had the antipasto and the prawns (yum!). The service is attentive and suggestions spot on.

What a place! My partner and I spent the evening here last weekend, had a gorgeous meal and then sat in the bar for the rest or the evening. The atmosphere is great and the food was stunning. Absolutely loved the staff too, they couldn't do enough. Can't wait to return.

This Uni student Nataliya deserves a pay rise! I dropped half a pint of lager and she was right there to hide my embarrassment, by one minute all the glass and lager was gone. Always alert and doesn't slack. Well done girl.

Visited Marcos this evening for our first dinner since lockdown, and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely, considering they are trying to operate outside only, they are doing so well. Couldn't have been more attentive or offered to do more for us. Our waiter (lovely man, meant to get his name!) was so friendly, chatted to us about where we get our local seafood and wrote down our recommendation for the chef, added chicken to my boyfriend's meal despite this being an awkward request. Suggested we come back for the weekend seafood which we definitely will. My boyfriend is a photographer and offered to do some photos for the restaurant and the dishes, wanted to confirm that this was genuine and we'd love to help out in any way to get this place even more footfall! Perfect first meal out, will be back very soon :)

Staff were very attentive and flexibly. We both had salads and they were very good. Many say you can't do much to make a salad bad - but you can and this place does them well. Ingredients fresh and favourism. The noise levels were just right. No one invaded each other space - which is hard for restaurants to pull off when they have bare floors and lots of tables close together. Definitely a place to visit again when I visit Southampton.

Great little restaurant - 2 minute walk from Mayflower theatre. Check out their website for menus and also for current special offers. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Italian base but also with, for example, pad thai or burger. I had the burger and it was one of the best I've had for a very long time. Fantastic classic British desserts too! Definitely be returning next time we're at the Mayflower in May.

Went here for a pre-theatre dinner. Really good quality food, great price and tastes fantastic. 2 starters, 2 mains, a large wine and a beer for under £45. We were too full for dessert but the cakes looked incredible. Would go back again.

Usually good, but today was not up to previous standard. The cooked breakfast order for 2 people came back slightly wrong (I didn't actually notice at first as it wasn't that important to me). Other issues were not great quality bread, small amount of veg and flat white coffees didn't have a strong flavour. I would normally recommend this place and I hope they were just having a bad day.

My wife and I live around 100 miles from Southampton and were in town only for the day. We chanced upon Caffexpresso for lunch and were so glad we did. The staff were warm and friendly, the menu was well-chosen and the food excellently cooked. The whole experience was so nice that we went back late afternoon for tea. If we ever visit Southampton again, we'll be sure to eat at this café-bistro again. Congratulations to everyone at Caffexpresso: you deserve to succeed in business.

possibly the best cheesy chips int he world, but recently the staff have been very sow and got a few orders wrong, not Marcos fault but even so it spoils what was one of the best little cafes in southamptopn, and i visit so regularly they know me and my preferred table and almost our order except the staff have changed, a little more training perhaps? dont let this wonderful cafe go down hill on customer service

I just brought lunch to take away from Caffexpresso and I have to say it was the best baugette I've had in ages. Ity looked great, smelled great and tasted fantastic. Chicken, chorizo and cheddar all cooked to perfection. Caffexpresso is very popular over lunch time so be prepared to wait a few mionutes, but it's well worth it!
