We were staying in hotel nearby after reading all the positive reviews had to give it a try and we weren't disappointed. Our first time trying afghani food. Owner is very lovely and food is cooked fresh to order so there's a little wait but well worth it! Would recommend 👍

Serves amazingly delicious and freshly cooked Authentic afghan food. The chicken were so tender and soft. The first bite revealed that the food is freshly made and they don’t use frozen foods. What a relief that is. Must try are their kebabs, just go ahead and order any kebab and be prepared to have ur mind blown away. I can surely say that this is one of the best restaurant in Stoke on Trent I have now become a regular customer here I have tried most of their food and can vouch that they are the best when it comes to Afghan food. The staff are extremely nice and patient and gives u a friendly smile every time The size of the naan bread will astonish you. They don’t accept cards and take only cash payment so keep your money handy

What a find, my friends and I had a very enjoyable dinner at Hawasana last evening and can’t speak highly enough on the quality of the food. I had the lamb Korahi not a curry but a sort of spicy stew very tasty, my friends had the mixed tandoori kebabs again they all raved about the tasty meats. The naan bread was also a delight.

Wonderful, wonderful place that has become a regular (almost weekly) stop for me and all my friends. I recommend it to everyone I meet and we all describe this restaurant with the same words: - Very big portions: share the dish with someone if you're not a big eater but if you, like me and my friends, are, Hawasana will not disappoint you. - Amazing, mouth watering cuisine: that's what brings us back over and over again. Every time we plan to go, the days that lead up to that are a constant "I can't wait to eat at the Afghan place" followed by intense mouth watering. - The most reasonable prices we've seen in the UK: me and my friends come from all around the continent, Italy, Spain, Greece, Kazakhstan, and this is the one place were none of us could complain about the price. Quite the opposite in fact: you'll have way more than enough food in your belly with a fiver. The service has never let us down and the staff has always been more than kind, super-friendly. We've been served free additional food whenever there's been the slightest hitch on their part, and that hasn't been a recurring theme to begin with. I am a firm believer that the one reason they haven't blown up yet is because they are quite hidden, more than once we brought someone to the place and their first reaction has been "wait, I've been here before, how come I didn't see it". If I can complain about one thing, is that Hawasana hasn't been reliable with their opening times in my experience. I've come to eat at the same time, same day as the week previous to that, with many curious, excited and hungry friends by my side, only to find the place inexplicably closed. Not worth chipping a star off though, as I love this place to death and I'll be eating here regularly for the rest of my stay in the UK. Hell, I may even come back in the future just to eat here again.

Wow. What a unique experience. The restaurant was ridiculously busy but the staff stayed so polite and attentive. It took us a while to decide what to eat because, not only is the menu very varied it also doesn’t have a lot of descriptions, so we had to google everything. We weren’t disappointed. Amaizing. Saturday Christmas Day went for a meal at this restaurant with a group of good freinds first time I have been to an Afghan restaurant we got there met by the owner and staff who were most welcoming making you feel That yiu belong there we were sat down to Our table and we placed an order the food was superb quality fresh and piping hot we were looked after by the staff the whole way through can’t fault service the food was exceptional and the quality was superb propably one of the best restaurants we have eaten in I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who is looking for a good place to eat the service and food are beyond words thankyou so much made my day

Great value for money. Really friendly staff. Delicious Afghan meals. Nana are huge! Meals were quite spicy. Portions enough to satisfy, not too much. Soft drinks only. They only accept cash. We had the Sabzi gosht, meatballs with lentils and the chicken tikka kebab. Delicious.

Improvement needed in cleanliness and atmosphere. For instance some chairs were quite dirty however definately still worth a visit for fresh tasty food. Service is very good too

If you are looking for an authentic Afghani cuisine this is the place you go. Price is very reasonable with large portions. They have variety of items in their menu. We have been there multple times and the quality is always good. Friendly staff and good seating arrangement for singles and families. Their Afghani pulao is best in Stoke on Trent, along with the free sides they give. It make it a perfect treat. Cant recommend this place enough !

We have just eaten well. The naan was made fresh and you could taste the freshness. Not a million vegetarian options, and you would probably have to ask really nicely for something vegan. The mango lassi is definitely worth a go. It tasted like it had proper mango in it: not just juice / syrup.
