We have just been to do some Xmas shopping straight from school and wanted a quick tea so we called in the ode faithful gold fish bowl. A great family run shop turning out the best food in town always consistent with taste and quality 👌

I go to the Goldfish bowl ever Monday and Friday for the last five years family run business very friendly and helpful the food very very good with specials on every week my favourites cheese and onion bake good price and always nice and hot best chip around for miles .

Best fish & chips in Cheadle. It isn't an unfounded, unsubstantiated declaration. It's a fact. The staff are always cheerful, the food is both freshly cooked and substantial in portions. You get your money's worth and the taste buds plus stomach thanks you.

Probably the best chippy in the area , good old fashioned style chippy no nonsense local family ran , there are other chippys that have a larger menu but non of them can beat the goldfish bowls chips

Best chip shop in this area, you'd expect chip shops to be able to cook chips, well this place an, others more local to Cheadle high Street haven't quite got that right yet... The Goldfish bowl are masters at regular chip shop food, always consistently nice and tasty chips like you'd want, the only downside is the opening hours are just a little to short, but everyone has a family they want to see, so good on them for working the hours they do, if you get them when they are open, even if there's a que like there usually is, that que is for a reason! You won't be disappointed 👍 got me wanting a chippy tea now 🤦‍♂️😂

Fantastic chippy, food is always freshly cooked (I'm not sure why the People on here have said food dry as it may have stood) if you ask for a fresh fish to be cooked, Mick will always be happy to oblige. The person that mentions she and her boyfriend had 'food poisoning' symptoms later that night....... I doubt it would have been from here, they have a good hygiene rating of 5 and we have never heard of anything about anybody else in the local area having adverse affects after eating her, Cheadle is a small town, bad press soon spreads. Food brill, great prices, great staff, accomodating to most requests. Always a long line of people which speaks for itself.

Went here for the first time on Saturday and was not disappointed , I had the braised steak and chips it was so tender and delicious the others had fish and chips and said how nice it was, we will definitely be going back .
