Wow! Hubby and I are both quite local to this place, but even he mentioned that he hadn't been inside this building for over 30 years!! We definitely won't be leaving it that long for the next visit. VERY impressed with the whole visit from start to finish. A lovely warm welcome from Ashleigh, plus she took the time to talk to us at our table. All the staff are very polite and extremely friendly, whilst maintaining a high level of service and professionalism. They all spoke so clearly and concisely... this really does put the visitor at ease, as (subconsciously) you know your meal is going to arrive exactly as you ordered (no misunderstandings/ miscommunications like other food outlets where clarity may not be at the top of the customer service list). Lovely relaxed decor, with a shabby-chic feel. Anyway, superb quality steaks, cooked perfectly. Followed by sticky toffee pudding to absolutely die for. Can't wait to visit again. We'll take our daughter and her fella next time :-)

We went for a meal here because it was recommended by a friend. I was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and eager to help and the food can compete with the best restaurants around. The fillet steak was cooked to perfection! A friendly atmosphere and even on a Friday night when it was busy it was pleasant.

We went for Xmas dinner. I requested plain salmon twice and on the day it came wrapped in pastry. Fair play they sorted it and gave me steamed veg which is what I wanted. The staff worked really hard to make sure everyone was happy and nothing was too much trouble 👏👏

Best steak I've had in the area. The chips are divine and the extra sauces are some of the best I've ever had. I've been plenty of times and never had a bad meal. Inside the pub is nice and the waiting staff are always polite. The car park isn't massive so I imagine it can get busy at times. There is a bar opposite the restaurant section but have never been in so cannot comment. Will keep returning.

This is a place that I will certainly return to. The menu offers plenty of choice and options to suit all needs. The two steaks that we had were cooked just as we ordered and the portions were of a decent size unlike other places where you wonder when the rest of the food will arrive. The choice of deserts was ok and again the portion size was excellent. In summary, the choices of food, the size of the portions and the prices make this an excellent place to eat out.

Took a friend to this steakhouse and was again not disappointed. The rump and ribeye steaks were cooked correctly and the dauphinois potato were a beautiful accompaniment. Lovely place with a touch of shabby chique décor. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Food excellent. We had 2 Sunday Roasts and a sirloin steak which was superb. Took our 18 month old granddaughter and they did her a small plate for 1.50 which we thought was really good. Drinks average price. High recommend and will definitely go again

Just returned from a pre-booked, pre-ordered food, Family of 18, Boxing Day lunch. Staff couldn't do enough for us. On arrival, drinks ordered at the table, staff then confirmed the meal choices. The Saracens head steak house was so lovely, for a pub and steak house it's so nice. The staff were really polite and the lady was always there to help in any way at all. It's a pub where you could go for a meal with the family and then make a night of it, the larger is tasty and cheap and it's one of the cleanest pubs/place's to eat I've been in a long time. This is a place I would definitely go to again and my mum really enjoyed it a lot and had a good time there tonight. People you must give the SARACENS HEAD STEAK HOUSE IN MEIR ON SANDON ROAD A GO YOU'LL LOVE TYE DRINK/FOOD AND THE STAFF AND CUSTOMER'S ARE ALL VERY POLITE.

ordered the 12oz sirloin and was presented with what looked like a nice meal, however looks can be deceiving. the first thing I noted was the beer battered onion rings where overcooked and hard, the mushrooms were also hard. the dressing salad was just a few leaves with some balsamic sauce and they were ok. the homesdw fries were also quiet nice. The Steak... it looked ok. a little seared on the outside maybe, the problem was with the taste and colour of the cut, I cant quite place the issue but it wasnt as expected, the colour was a little off, still medium rare but didn't taste so, tlit sort of tastd and looked like a pork steak (it wasnt). the venue it self was spotless and the staff were friendly enough. I would advise you try this one for yourself but unfortunately it's not on my return list. another nitpick although its minor was they served my coke in a cider glass... parking is available and the restaurant is part of a pub however it is segregated and has it's own entrance.

Great Sunday roast, everything was spot on. Good size portions with well cooked proper meat, not pre-cooked rolled meat like some provide. Service was good and prices are what you'd expect. Great place to eat. Steaks were perfectly cooked and tender, I had chips with mine which were good,my husband chose dauphionse which were gorgeous. Very nice. Service was good and the choice of food on the menu was as you'd expect from a Steak House. We booked a table for six to eat at eight o'clock. We arrived at seven forty-five and were seated opposite a large party of people celebrating a thirtieth birthday. It was very noisy, but that's what birthdays are all about. The waitresses attended our table and made sure that we had enough drinks. The only thing we would complain about was that one of the starters arrived cold. It was sent back and replaced within a couple of minutes. Everyone had steaks for their main course and I have to say that they were cooked to perfection. This was our first visit and it was a most enjoyable experience.

what it says on the tin really, proper pub with proper food, I had the steak (ribeye) for main, full of flavour and perfectly cooked medium. my other half doesn't really do steak she had the Balmoral chicken, she's been here a lot of time before and always has it so it must be good as she is well fussy! The chips were also spectacular. The restaurant part of the pub has clean, simple and unpretentious feel, won't be long before a return visit!

Well very surprised to find the steaks here are far better than miller and carter in talke, great presentation, home made fries,perfectly cooked steaks and nice staff "would have given a 5 star rating if my starter was as described... king prawn in garlic and chilli ? Shame it was very dry very little garlic ! the King prawns happen to be large prawns and not very warm .. would of rather have had two or three large king prawns with loads of chunky garlic n butter real shame as the presentation looked great .. I'd always come and show the chef how it's should be .. will definitely return and try a different starter thou .. looking forward to trying the Sunday roast ... great place and worth a visit !!! Not many restaurants in Stoke that I like but this is the best for a steak ...
