Reviews of Madbuns

Second time visiting Madbuns and the new menu is even better than the previous!
A group of friends and I travelled from London to Swansea / Cardiff for a long weekend away.
When we were contemplating where to eat I had suggested Madbuns and we are all glad I did - better than any burger joint I’ve visited in London!
Madbuns has a great atmosphere with very helpful staff who walked us through their new menu. The service was excellent and the food arrived hot and on time even though we ordered a lot.
Really enjoyed the Philly-Cheese Steak and the mad fries are a must try!
Great place to visit with family, friends or even to get your fix of great burgers on your own.
Will be visiting again when in town next.

Brand new - trendy these days - Gourmet Burgers Eatery 🍔
Theirs Insta profile promise high class experience in own category but how it is in reality?
Well burgers are good (but always could be better) quality. Really tasty.
But because we get them -even if we are eating in- already packed (not like how it is presented on Insta-Profile) the pleasure of eating squeezed, partly steamed (packed very warm that's why) filled buns are not as such good as it could be. I've got as well some objections to the taste of some sauces, seems to be that they are not done on site but ready to use ones.
Dirt fries are tasty as well but kind of disappointed I am of getting prepared frozen curly fries instead of handmade. Same with burgers had a problem with artificial sauce used on top of fries.
To the meal deal additional we get some optional fizzy soft drink.
Huge plus are prices which are quite low with compare to other places of similar profile.
Pity that you have to be prepare to wait pretty much to get your food.
Almost 30mins of waiting for two meals when it wasn't really busy (especially just after opening) it's a bit to long.
To long particularly when you have to sit in totally freezing 🥶 conditions.
That's the most negative thing about this place.
And even very friendly staff can not save that this should be somehow solved if they want to have Eat In option.
Summarize, food alright (still better then most of junk food eateries) but not enough to be a contender with main competitors on local market.
Just when you are very hungry and don't want to spend to much money.

Heard good things and seeing as I love burgers I thought I better give it a go. You can eat in, there's three tables and half a dozen bar stools but its more of a take away place. I had a simple burger and mad fries, which are loaded fries, and my first impression was that it was all a bit small. That said, once I'd tucked in I felt I'd eaten plenty so no complaints. The food itself was really really good.
The meat in the burger tasted great and the rest of it complimented it. The loaded fries were the best I've ever had (I haven't had loads but these were top drawer) despite the fries not being home made. Mad fries I think they were called.
My food was ready in about 10-15 mins which is what they said it would be when I ordered.
Definitely one of the best burgers in Swansea on par with five guys, cake and ale and founders and Co. I would definitely recommend it suggest going for one of the other burgers rather than the 'basic' one I had, feel like I missed a trick there.

Not the sort of fare Babs and I normally have on a date night but after seeing a recommendation by "Tog on two wheels" we headed into Swansea to see what a posh burger would be like.
Well after eating a classic burger with chipotle sauce, chipotle wings, mad wings and mad fries we were really impressed. Really, really tasty.
The wings were unreal. Some of the best ive had for a long time. The chap who served us and brought our food was polite and helpful. We had to wait about 30 minutes for the food but it gave the wife and I time to chat and it is reassuring as you know its been prepared with care. The food reflected that.
My only small gripe was that they allow vaping inside the resturaunt but is partly understandable as its not against the law and we are middle aged and the demographic for Madbuns would be aimed at a much younger age.
We will definately go again in the future. 🍔😋

Nice place to Munch on Authentic burgers. Tastes nice. Fries and strips were tasty too. I think quality is there but lacks in quantity. But still tasty though.

Honestly can say they put effort into their burgers. Just had a big meal with the misses, double burger and loaded fries with a shake! Wow - just the best munch I’ve had in years, presentation was awesome and even my wife said the food was great and she’s fussy 😭 The two owners we spoke to, top fellas! They seemed young but they know what their doing - everyone has to try this place ‼️

Ordered today online for delivery for the first time and it was "ok". The chips came just barely warm which wasn't great. The burger was pretty hot though as they wrapped it in foil. I ordered the Madbuns burger which was supposed to come in a green bun but when I opened it was a regular bun so that was pretty disappointing. For me any flavour in the burger was overwhelmed by the spicy mayo/sauce they put in so all I could really taste was spice. When I tasted each burger separately they tasted alright but nothing special considering the price I paid. All in all the food wasn't bad just not as good as I hoped considering other reviews. Sadly I shall not be ordering again.

Would usually give this a 5 star as the food is brilliant and prices seem decent for the amount you get and overall quality. Was let down by the delivery. Took nearly an hour for the first drop and was missing a burger. Took another hour to get the complete order. Bit of a shame as everything else was good.

Travelled from Cardiff to try out MadBuns yesterday and they didnt disappoint. I ordered the Mad Bun, Steak Loaded fries and Roulette strips. The burger itself was juicy and filling and each of the flavours of the roulette wings tasted great. The chipotle flavour was a standout for me though! The steak loaded fries was a definite standout and must-order for when you visit MadBuns.
