Great location, really good chips, very good pricing and friendly staff. Really can’t knock the place!

Went on Tuesday. Two people were serving, a young lad and a girl. It was her first day but she did did a fantastic job of taking orders and wrapping food. The young lad was professional throughout the busy period giving time and respect to all customers while training the girl. Very impressive. Food was excellent. Monni's is now going to be a regular.

A place with about 10 tables with bench seating. The food was good and service was fast and attentive. I was served by a friendly waitress. The prices are pretty standard compared to the rest of the fish & chips joints I have been to.

Came on a really busy night yet the staff were a delight and kept us informed of any delays so as not to disappoint. The food was worth waiting for. Fish was cooked fresh to order, the chips were delicious and the staff lovely. It wasn't expensive and you can eat in or out.

Just looked at the previous reviews. What is wrong with those people! The fish bar offers excellent fish superbly fried,accompanied by hugely generous portions of more/ish chips. Prices~~~so inexpensive. Perhaps the person who found it expensive ought to compare the prices of burger bars and other fast food outlets. Never heard such nonsense. And no I don't have a personal connection to the business!

I was looking for chips and a battered sausage. I order exactly that. It was cheap as chips as the phrase goes. I AUDIBLY OOOOOOED when I took a bite. Incredible. My pal had recommended here and somewhere else and I thought the other place but my pal said NO GO TO MONNI'S. NEVER DOUBTING THAT PAL AGAIN. This place is amazing.

Lovely, proper old fashioned chips, with the usual assortment of accompaniments. The cafe area is clean and spacious with plenty of salt, pepper, vinegar etc available at the table. Enjoyed my meal and visit, with the very poor quality coffee (not nice at all) preventing a fourth star being awarded.

Tried the fish and chips here a couple weeks ago. The fish was premade - not fried on demand. However it was warm enough to enjoy and the batter wasn't bad, maybe they receive orders frequently enough to premade orders? Not sure. Comes with tartar sauce, above average. No bones on this occasion. Chips were above average, nothing bad nothing special. Would give 3.5 stars but this is a limitation on Google.

Highly recommend Monni's! Our Brownie pack were staying nearby and the staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful. We put in our order the night before and the food was ready (and piping hot) when they said it would be. They happily catered for one of our girls who was on a gluten-free diet too.
