I couldn't find anywhere that looked nice for lunch but spotted here on Google Maps. Staff attentive, air con in the conservatory could be useful when hotter. I had the lunch time menu for two at £35. Most dishes flavoursome. Best of all no kids!

Good food, fast and friendly service, would recommend the Royal Roast as it included a bit of everything. Eventhough it's by the main road you don't really notice so can still eat in peace. The taster option for the desserts was great as could try a bit of each and can share it between two people.

Came here after a number of recommendations from friends and family and I wasn't disappointed. A great range of tapas dishes all reasonably priced, tasted amazing and served fast and piping hot. They had a number of traditional tapas dishes …

As a family we decided to try the tapas option menu. There a good selection overall for all concerned, the desserts option was amazing. Some price points for dishes a little high, but overall a lovely experience

Our first time there for food and drinks as we have heard by reputation so gave it a try,Very nice food and cocktails, friendly staff and good service,we had various tapas, the seabass and Mongolian lamb was amazing, but all of it was very nice, and had the shared desert-very good 😊,will definitely be coming again …

If you want high end dining for pub prices then this is for you, the tapas is incredible, the atmosphere is chic, you feel very well looked after, loads of parking and good beer

Absolutely amazing food. Recommended amount of dishes more then enough … I fact we couldn’t have pudding as too full up with the taps. The duck, scallops, chips very good.
We are local so glad to find somewhere to go back to and experience different foods.
Also, the service - well done ladies with a lovely smile.
See you soon

This is a difficult review as it's a lovely place. Much improved from previous incarnations but there are niggles.
It's essentially a meat/ fish eaters paradise and the food is excellent in that regard.
However, they also have vegetarian options to cater for the non meat eaters but they are an afterthought.
If you are going to cater for vegetarian/ vegans and charge the same prices for their meals, they should be comparable in portion size to the dishes supplied to meat eaters.
Only one veggie option on a Sunday menu ( vegetarian bake the size of a small soup bowl which was basically a veg stew with cheese sprinkled on top and two roast potatoes on the side ) is not enough and is vastly overpriced. I almost wept at the quality of the food my friends got that I couldn't eat.
There are six of us who regularly eat together and we've written The Royal off because they can't cater for one of us.
That's a lot of money they're losing out through laziness and retro thinking.
If you want to be purely a high quality meat/ fish restaurant with no concession to veggie/ vegan
fill your boots but if you are going to offer vegetarian food, however limited in scope, it needs to be better than this.

Experienced an amazing lunch with my two daughters. The tapas dishes were delicious, with melt in the mouth meat and portions were generous. The steak was also perfect. Service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere and decor were modern but cosy. Will definitely return.
