Been going here for years. The chips are excellent, never ever had a bad one and are always cooked perfectly. Friendly staff, always busy which is a sign of how good it is here. Highly recommended.

Updated down to 3 stars after a recent visit: the chips were dry today, and I got to witness a member of staff aggressively arguing with another about who put the empty trays on top of the chips - the aggressive chap had been the one in the wrong, while the other guy just coolly stated his view and tried to drop it. His calmness just seemed to make the other guy more mad. Of course all of this shouldn’t be part of a chip shop review, but as it happens this is the kind of thing that makes you choose a different shop next time. Great organisation, everyone is active and efficient and they’re an example to other chip shops in how to be run! Chips are fine, I’ve had better which is why I’ve not gone 5 stars, but I’ve also had way way worse! This is probably one of the top 3 in Telford. Maybe unfair to mention another chippy in a review of this one, but the best is still Andy’s in Madeley!

Excellent fish. Tasty and flaky 😋 Chips were slightly undercooked and maybe could have done with a few more for a large portion 🤔 The staff are incredibly efficient compared to other places around here so queues go down very quickly.

Once again, March 2021, brilliant. Padstow Fish and Chip shops look & learn & they are v good. 2021 and The Big Blue is the best Fish & Chips this ide of ANYWHERE. Very impressed with this friendly chippy. Looks small from the outside but once inside it opens up into a vast, clean space. Thought I would try them after regularly seeing queues of people outside waiting to buy their chips. And although it is out of my way to get there, it was well worth a visit. I bought chips, a sausage and a burger and all were delicious. In fact, probably the best chips I’ve had locally and certainly worth the trip. As a bonus, you can order online and collect when you are ready. I did not as I was not sure whether they would be prepared before or on my arrival, but certainly worth exploring if you are in a hurry.
