WoW!! I am sold!! The Harvester at Garson, is without doubt. Artsan the Manager is a top notch leader via serving. The food is brilliant very well priced and fundamentally delicious. Here are some photographs taken of what was, a great day out. Please go and take your kids, if you’ve got some. If no kids, sort that then go!!

We had a great welcome, the host at the door was excellent. And then we met our waitress who was very friendly and professional. She was great with my nine-year-old nephew. We had a salad bowls – loved the salad bar. Our dinner was delicious and everything was hot. It was absolutely excellent service – will definitely come back!

Me and my girlfriend came into Harvester for breakfast. We were greeted by a lovely waitress called Holly and the service she provided was impeccable. The breakfast was delicious and was worth the money. We tried to tip Holly, but unfortunately the card machine didn't have the option to add a tip nor did we have any cash. I hope Holly gets recognition for her performance and is rewarded appropriately. Matt

Our meal was very good, the food was hot and good quality. The salad bar was disappointing as there was little variety, one type of pasta salad for example and no rice salad. We collected our drinks and salad as soon as we could but our main meal arrived just as we sat down, it's good not to have a slow service but we had no time to even begin our salad and we felt rushed - in the past there has always been time to eat most of it first as a starter.

I've been to numerous Harvesters, and they all have welcoming personnel, and this one was no exception. Great waitress who paid close attention to our needs served us. Also working on the salad cart as part of his job experience was a young man by the name of Jake. For someone so young, he was incredibly courteous and professional, which was a fantastic testament to the staff.

We had an amazing experience at Garston Harvester. I took my three children for breakfast there for the first timeon 26th August 2022, the food was delicious and served very fast. Harvester have really upped their game in the food department and the front of house staff were superb but I have to question some of the decisions management have been making. Our server Charley was fantastic, with a smile on her face despite the chaos going on around us on a busy early Sunday evening. Servers are now expected to serve the unlimited salad despite being rushed off their feet doing their normal duties. At one point even one of the chefs was serving salad from the buffet!

We booked online for 15 mins later than our time of booking. Brilliant. Restaurant was very busy and we waited quite a long time to be served but didn’t mind as we weren’t in a rush. The serving staff were absolutely run off their feet but maintained a welcoming cheerfulness which really impressed us. We thought it was totally unnecessary that the waitress had to serve our salads. It took her away from other customers (perhaps why we waited so long for service ourselves) and our bowls ended up much fuller than we would have served ourselves - I had to get a second bowl and offload some of my salad as I couldn’t get my fork in without it spilling over the edge. We could use the self serve drinks station so I really don’t understand the point of being served our salads. There were also other families trying to receive salad and we were having to avoid them and their server in a small space. All a bit stressful, but especially for the poor serving staff (who remained professional and smiley throughout). Because of this I will now be avoiding Harvester for the time being. All the food was delish and arrived in good waiting time. The waitress made sure everything was ok with our meals and we ordered pud and hot drinks too. Please rethink your staff having to serve the salads Harvester - for their sakes as well as the customer.

After the Covid debacle it's great to finally be back :) Holly who always looked after us was still here :) and still a joy, cheerful, helpful and friendly, my vegetarian breakfast was delicious and great value , I have an allergy to Quorn which i told them about and they were brilliant & thorough, Holly went and got an ingredient sheet to show me, but just to be on the safe side I asked to swap the sausages for something else which wasn't a problem at all. They have a super manager running the place which is evident. The Unlimited tea & Coffee for 99p is back, the place is mega clean. The family members I was with loved their choice just as much, we had a lovely catch up, would highly recommend, in fact we're going back today. 5* for sure. (BOOM! Mic Drop) lol! :)

Food was great. I hadn't tried a Balanced Bowl with halloumi and it was super on a hot day. My mum had gammon and pineapple and loved it except one little bit of gristle. For dessert mum had Sundae and I tried the vegan Sundae. Vegan one was very coconutty and didn't melt as fast as the icecream one. Cappuccino and lattes were good. Also good was their giving local school children work experience in serving from the salad cart.

Been to many Harvesters and the staff are always very friendly and this one was no different. We had a Great waitresss who was very attentive to our needs. They also had a young man called Jake who was doing work experience, helping out on the salad cart. He was extremely polite and very professional for someone so young, a great credit to the team. Part 2 We visited this Harvester again yesterday 20.09.2021 and had a completely different experience and unfortunately not a great one. We were approached by a member of staff called Alice who had zero customer care skills. She never smiled, greeted us or showed us no eye contact. The only communication she did was to ask if we had put our car registration in. She led us to our table and her whole demina was very much like she really didn't want to be there. Such a shame as all the other staff are extremely friendly and nice, unfortunately Alice let the team down on our visit. The reduction in stars was unfortunately based on our most recent visit.

Not enough staff,have to wait to be seated or served at the bar. Salad bar have to wait for a member of staff to serve you the salad of your choice,understand is because of covid etc,am sorry standing next yo member of staff while choosing your salad and member of staff holding bowl and serving don't make it covid safe. My meal the bun was wet as a sponge due to oil or some sauce that look like maple syrup underneath and underneath the chips bowl. Waited for a member of staff to show up to point I left. Had already paid for my meal at the beginning . Change the salad bar to original self serving and more available staff and definitely will keep being a customer until then will wait for the change.

The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The process of ordering and using the salad bat now that the waiters/waitresses serve you at the salad bar was smooth and easy. The food came out very fast and was cooked beautifully. The only reason I have given three stars is because the ladies toilets are in need of work. The floor was dirty and the toilet roll holder was broken. There is clearly a leak in the toilet cistern as the back panel covering the toilet is warped and looks damp, you could smell urine and damp in the toilets as soon as you opened the door. The sinks and toilets themselves were clean and usable but the rest let them down. Overall great food and great staff only the toilets let the place down. Didn't get photos as didn't take my phone to the loo!

We went to the Garston after we had been to the Harry Potter experience Watford. Food in the Harry Potter experience was a bit expensive .Food in the Garston was OK for a chain restaurant they had run out of the brisket so that was a bit disappointing. The gluten free options were OK but not too much to choose from .My partner said the the ladies toilets left a bit to be desired .There was no tiolet paper and they said they were in a bit of a state .We were there on the 30th of January.

I took some family members out for lunch on Wednesday 10th November, we decided to try the Harvester restaurant Garston as we had never eaten there before. What a treat it was from arriving to leaving we were so well treated. The manager greeted us and showed us to our table, we were then introduced to our waitress Vicki who looked after us with courtesy and a constant smile. After being served our drinks we placed our food order, Vicki then dealt with the salads and in doing so ensured that the covid protocol was adhered to. Our main meals were served and to our surprise the chef Kris came to our table to see how we were enjoying our meal. I was so pleased in that I could tell Kris that the meals were superb. I can honestly say that the service and food was excellent. I would definitely eat at this restaurant and will definitely recommend it to friends. We'll done Harvester Garston.

The Below review was my original, but fair is fair, the Garston team have helped sort out the charge and got it sorted within 1 day, my review was never directed at the Team at Garston rather the set up of the Parking arrangements which seriously need addressing to ensure future custom is retained. Unfair Parking Fine. Not clear enough signage, not mentioned by the staff. Ridiculous to charge customers parking fines, obviously not interested in repeat business. Went there after a sad day at the crematorium, really topped the day off. I suggest you readdress this process. That 15 customers never returning....

Food is still alright, but they're keeping the stupid arrangement where the servers dish up your salad for you. Supposedly safer because of covid, but the server ALWAYS puts their thumb in your food. They've also reduced the size of the bowls and they hardly even fill them. I asked for some cucumber and was given FOUR SLICES. Thin slices. The server even admitted to me that they're keeping it to save money because that way people are less likely to go up for a second bowl and fill it to the top. Your drinks will also be handed to you off the trays, with the server's fingers touching the rim.

Attended this Harvester a couple of months ago, so apologies for the delay! However the manager (I'm assuming; Gentleman's height was about 6ft) at the time was absolutely amazing! He welcomed my brother & I in such a friendly manner & for someone like me who wears a Headscarf as part of my Islamic faith, he most definitely did not treat me any differently, as the employers at the other Harvesters usually do. He was very funny & very attentive. #thankyou!

Easy to make a reservation online. The table service couldn't be faulted. My Mrs had a steak which she loved and I had a chicken combo. The chicken was really juicy and tasted great. The deserts were most excellent. Cost of the food and soft drinks for the two of us was about £48 and for 2 mains and 2 deserts and a couple of drinks was very reasonable considering the quality of the food.

Nice and spacious. New COVID rules make it a bit bizarre. Masks when you stand or move but no masks at the tables, social distance from the salad bar and tell serving staff what you want while they dish you and you return to the table with the serving staff behind you brining your bowl of salad. However staff were very gracious and super helpful. I had the steak sandwich which was really good and tasty 😋 Planned for breakfast but arrived at 11.30 and they stop serving breakfast at 11.30

Wheelchair accessible tables and toilet, reserved Disabled parking (remember to book your vehicle in to avoid parking ticket!) Muzak fairly survivable as is ubiquitous TV. Good value for good food.😁

Every time we've come here the staff have always greeted us with a friendly smile and a friendly welcome. Food has always been delicious and cooked to perfection. Out of all the Harvester restaurants we've been locally, this has been the best one we've been to. Remember to put your car registration in the machine at the front of the building by the bar or you'll get a parking ticket from parking eye.

We chose to sit outside as it was to hot and stuffy inside, should have air conditioning. Every table run down and filthy, plates and glasses left on table's the entire time we were there which attracted loads of wasps. Food was good although salad bar had half the stuff missing.

A safe choice for a solid meal out with the family. Firstly, if you arrive by car ENSURE you enter your number plate into the tablet device just inside the main entrance.. otherwise you could be liable for a parking ticket. If you do this it’ll be stress free. Plenty of seating but if you can book on weekends it’s wise to do so. We arrived off the cuff at peak time on Saturday evening and the staff were really good in getting us seated swiftly. Menu is massive so something for everyone. Prices reasonable and quality and speed of service really good. Staff couldn’t do enough to help.. cant fault them.

To be honest, it was OK, which is why I rated it 3 stars, I used to go there quite often and I stopped for a long period of time, and this was the first time back for me. Unfortunately, it was not as good as it was before. They have not changed the layout of the restaurant however they HAVE brightened it up a bit. They were slow with our order even though it was almost empty and thought we were waiting for the bill instead our main! However I can say that the Freakshake 'Cookie Monster' was a great amount of drink for value.

Was greeted at the front desk by the so called manager who we found quite rude and not bothered about seating my party of 6 as we hadn't booked and eventually said I can squeeze you in but next time book yet the restaurant never got that busy for the duration of our two hour visit , let me add the reason why you won't get 5 stars is the attitude of your so called manager , now the main reason you get 4 is the waiter Scott , this guy is incredible, so attentive, friendly and so good at his job he didn't need to write down my party's orders , he was around exactly when you needed him , your manager could do with a few lessons from Scott on how to deal with the customers , in fact Scott should really be your manager as his people skills are incredible, the food was also pretty top notch and we had no complaints when the food came out to our table credit is due to the waiting staff and kitchen crew you have at the Garston branch especially Scott , again I would of loved to of given 5 stars as overall the experience was a good one just a shame that the first person you have to deal with is artan the manager who came across as a rain cloud on a sunny day .

We were accompanied safely to get salad and our drinks were brought to us it was very well organised. I was there for work supporting a vulnerable person transition back into the community. That’s why I chose the harvester and if I’m honest I was hoping Scott would be there as he is always amazing with vulnerable service users making them feel valued and welcome! Which makes the whole experience stress free and is somewhere my young service users feel safe. There are clear signs and plans in place to safeguard customers. The staff are also incredibly organised and take safeguarding their customers seriously! Will definitely be visiting again. This is somewhere I definitely feel safe to visit during the current pandemic. Thank you Scott for all your hard work!

Visited here with my family last night for my mums 60th & my sons 3rd birthday. Originally we had booked the Harvester over at Croxley because its literally around the corner from home. But they messed up my booking & we couldn't eat (sending a complaint) so we quickly managed to book a last minute table at Garston & off we went. Brilliant from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. The manager on shift I believed was called Artan?(Sorry if misspelled) he was absolute fab! He sat us all down on a nice table, even held my 1year old sons hand & helped him walk & up to the table. He couldn't do enough for us & made us giggle. Scott our waiter/manager I'm assuming? Was brilliant as always, again couldn't do enough for us. I had a very fussy & annoying friend with us & he accomidated her. We had such an amazing time. We thought our night had been ruined when we turned up to Croxley. Thank god we decided to drive over the Garston, 5.30pm in rush hour from one side of Watford to the other? It was worth it!! The staff are friendly both on the bar and the restaurant. Food is served quickly but you must appreciate that when it's busy (particularly on Sundays) food and service can take a little longer. Refurb earlier this year has made the restaurant brighter and feels more spacious. Sky Sports also shown in the bar with two large screen TVs.
