Our veryfirst time visiting would most definately visit again. The staff were friendly and welcolming Had corn dogs tostart shared them the batter was light and sauce on them tasty. My belly pork ribs were melt in the mouth and the chicken was also juicy what my fiance had and slightly smoked taste The Mac and cheese with brisket was very yummy. The frozen fro co so creamy. Well worth the money and great atmosphere can't wait to visit again

So been to Hickorys a few times for evening meals and its always been fine but went this weekend for the brunch. So the experince was mostly postive, food was decent (you can see from the photos 🤤). The only thing i would note as a slight negative (which is why it didnt score 5 stars), was we turned up, we were sat down and told we could order at the bar as we were outside. Went inside and the staff didnt seem to know if we could eat outside or if we could only have bar snacks. Eventually after speaking to about 3 members of staff, the manager advised we couldnt eat at the table we were out and had to move a few yards to a table with an unbrella outside which we could. Its not major but just make it clearer on the way in rather than faffing us about. Overall, decent food and staff were alright after the above bits. 😁

Great service as always, was seated very quickly even though we hadn't booked. Was a minor issue with our dessert however this was quickly resolved, staters and mains came out timely and delicious. Sitting outside was a treat given the temperature on the evening of our visit. One of if not my favourite restaurant to visit locally.

Hickory's... Where do I start? It's just plain awesome and has a real authentic vibe about it. I've visited a few times with large and small groups, staff catering well for both. Service from staff is top, they've always been so enthusiastic, know the menu really well and are more than happy to recommend dishes and drinks. The decor of the restaurant is breath-taking and truly takes you to the South. The food is incredible and wonderfully unique, portions are huge and to say "tasty" just doesn't do it justice. I highly recommend this restaurant, however whilst there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, make sure you book ahead as it's been crazy busy each time I've visited. One request, PLEASE bring back the homicide wings... Those bad boys had my eyes streaming and the Louisiana wings just aren't a patch on them. What an experience!!

Went there before and thought it would be a good place to eat. This time food was cold, kids had some mac'n'cheese and my burger was cold also. At the end we had to stand and walk after asking for the bill 2 times and waiting for more than 15 min after it. The atmosphere seems nice that is what made us come back but tonight it seemed like an average fast food place.

We loved it, the food & drinks were delicious. The staff were fantastic nothing was too much effort. There was banter galore. 1 staff member that did stand out was James, he was fantastic with the kids. We had our evening meal at around 6 ish on Saturday the 12th. First visit here so thought I would try the small platter for some variety. Wow I am completely stuffed and still got sausage and brisket left. Dog will be getting a treat later. The meat slid off the ribs, both beef and pork. Everything was great but I have a preference for pork. Their pale ale is very nice too. Will have to come back and have something smaller!

We found this place whilst on a weekend break in Worcester. The staff were friendly and very helpful and it reminded us of a place we have been to in Florida, so it has the real American feel with the decor and food. The reason for the 4 stars is because I feel that the menu does not give enough allergy information about the food. I had to ask if the subs were brioche and they were and also I had to ask if the chicken was butter basted, luckily it wasn't. I felt that I had to ask about everything on the menu as I do not eat alot of dairy, although not an allergy, but for people with a dairy intolerance you would need to be careful. The coleslaw was made with sour cream which I only found out when it arrive and tried. Also there are very few veg and vegan options, so for a group it limits this place as a destination. Also I would have liked a dessert but they all contained dairy and there was no vegan option which I would have chosen. I would go back, but I feel they just need to update the menu with detail and add some vegan choices so they are more inclusive.

There's not a massive amount of choice of vegetarians, but that's pretty much the only downside. The staff are LOVELY and customer service is above and beyond. I ordered a Christmas drink that should have been warm but wasn't, and they swapped it for a toastier version (lovely) and took it off the bill. Will definitely return, but perhaps with gaps in between visits in order to get excited about the veggie options again.

We love Hickory's but we are not local to Worcester and so it was our first visit here. We had booked well in advance and were so pleased to be seated right next to the cinema room with our two young children. The food and friendly service were as good as are used to. I'm giving this 5 stars for the overall experience. Went there as a treat for son's birthday, so not my usual food option but was pleased with quality and quantity and enjoyed my hot wings and ribs. Cocktails were fun and very nice. What really wins this the 5 star is the excellent staff, who were welcoming, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. Very pleasant afternoon thanks to them.

The staff were great, very helpful and pleasant, Chloe served us and deserves a shout out for being a great hostess. There were 3 of us at the table and we ordered 3 large burgers with sweet potato wedges. I don't know how you cook the wedges but they were inedible. Cold soft and soggy. We didn't want our burger taking away so Chloe took the wedges (as we requested) and brought extra fries to compensate. That spoilt the experience slightly but still gave 4 stars.

First time at Hickory's and have to say the food is spectacular. Had the beef brisket with Mac and cheese and have not tasted better Mac and cheese in a long time. Whatever 'gravy' they give you with the beef was one of the best smoky sauces I've ever had. Churros for desert and was not let down, super crispy and chewy. Would recommend and definitely going again.

Absolutely stunning. I enjoyed this so so much. I was in smoky meat heaven. Was given a warm welcome and taken to our table where our drinks order was taken. Looking at the menu and I kist want everything. So I opted with the share for 1 as did the other people in the party. Food was served and oh my. It was so good. I demolished mine, the burnt end were melt in your mouth the beans had meat in it. I enjoyed every mouthful. I then opted for a dessert I enjoyed it that much. Not something I normally.do as I avoid sugar as much as I can. But wasnt I in for a sticky fudge suprise. I ordered the fudge cake which came with honeycomb bits over it which gave it that extra something. Loved it. Great tasting food good great atmosphere and decorations. Well worth the money

Right so went for a Meal here tonight with my girlfriend and her son. Staff really friendly, food was really late but the lady in charge dealt with the situation amazingly and was very apologetic. Once food finally arrived it was really tasty. Safe to say the manager on that shift was outstanding. Will definitely return.

Not the best hickorys I've been too. Corndogs and nacho starters were very nice. But the go tall or go home burger was nothing special and very dry burger. Also my partner had the half chicken which was very dry.

The thing to understand about this place is what it does it does very well. If your idea of eating out is KFC and Maccies then you will get the best version of that kind of food possible in Worcester. My kids love it and it is a very safe night out food wise. Just don't expect anything fancy.

Wanted to try this restaurant as I was in the area and have an interest in BBQ and American food. Found it quite underwhelming overall - not bad, but average. I asked if I could get something to takeaway and was told to wait in the corner. Was given a little bag of popcorn whilst I waited, which I thought was quite nice, but the person taking my order I found to be a little rude. The food isn't cheap and I noticed on the bill after I'd paid that a service charge had also been added, despite it being a takeaway that had taken 10 minutes to collect from the kitchen. I only tried a few items off the menu, but what I did try was nothing to get excited about. The burger in particular should have been a lot better for this theme of restaurant: It was bland and underseasoned, dry because there wasn't a sauce and something that you could expect better done at any half decent pub.

A great much needed night out, and always fun. But if I were to give them honest feedback, I'd say this. The brisket was unexpectedly dry, chewy and tough, when I would expect it to be super juicy and melt in the mouth. The gravy with it was fine but waaay too peppery. The fries also needed a little more seasoning, but they were fine. Everything was just... not bad. I'm sad to say that quality has greatly dropped since the place first opened. They seem to have sacrificed quality in favour of getting food out in large number, and quickly. A real shame. When they first opened it felt like a really unique, elaborate, decadent food experience.

This was our first visit to the hickory smokehouse in Worcester and we weren't disappointed! We were greeted by the barman who was friendly and polite. He showed us to our table. We were then introduced to our waitress who was lovely and brought over a complimentary bag of popcorn whilst we were choosing our food. The inside of the restaurant is themed as an American sports bar/restaurant to a very high standard and feels like a nice place to be. They even have a small cinema room showing kids films to keep them entertained. The food itself was tasty hot and was made with fresh ingredients. We had burgers on this visit. I can highly recommend the malt milkshakes which were probably the best we have ever had. We will definitely be going again soon to try some of the other items on the menus.

This review will be contentious. We decided to go with a few colleagues on a Tuesday evening, but could not get a table until 21:30. Seemed odd as it was a Tuesday. When we got there, it was dead. God knows why we couldn't book a table until so late. As we began to order, we were told that our starters would have to come out with our mains. Why offer tables so late if you're not going to keep the kitchen open?!? Food was delicious, that's why it's so hard to only give 3 stars. But when your chicken wings come out at the same time as your brisket then it kinda ruins the experience. My advice would be, if you know you're going to close the kitchen at 22:00, don't offer 21:30 tables. Shame, we were the kind of party that would have spent hundreds, but in the end we felt rushed and unwelcome.

We had a great time at Hickory's in Worcester yesterday. The food was great, fresh and tasty. A great selection and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was wonderful, our two kids loved the music as much as we did. But what we really appreciated was how the staff went the extra mile for our son who has a nut allergy. It often stops us from eating out as some kitchens panic and refuse service. That wasn't the case here. The manager came to us and even went through items one by one. So he was able to have the things he really, really wanted. It made his day as much as ours. We will definitely be back.

The happiest I have ever been in my life. The food is stunning, the service attentive but relaxed. Sat on the veranda drinking their special brew whilst the kids played on the awesome wooden play pirate ship or took shade by watching a film in the free indoor cinema complete with real cinema seating and cup holders. Our most recent visit on a cold, wet and windiest Bank Holiday in years, due to current circumstances it was only outside seating. The staff were fantastic working under the most difficult circumstances, offering blankets and hot water bottles. They were very upbeat, welcoming and friendly even though everything was blowing away or breaking! We couldn't fault them. They sven sang happy birthday with sparklers and sent birthday messages written in icing sugar which was a lovely touch. Gorgeous little booths in the garden as well as outdoor and veranda seating. They really have gone to a lot of trouble to keep their customers happy. Keep up the great work xx

Well they don't put the cost of a 250ml glass of wine of the menu but then charge for a 250 ml glass (when you've just ordered a glass of wine) 🤷 Not a great choice of food if you're vegetarian. Also look out for the added service charge that cheekily gets added to your bill!! But the service was very friendly.

Went in on the 29th September, thought that value for money has gone down since my last visit, not much substance to my main course for the price. Service was OK, although a little slow, took 20 minutes until they took a drinks order. They hadn't even cleared the starters when the mains came out.

First time visiting Hickory's and it definitely won't be the last! Lovely location in the centre of Worcester, staff were lovely and friendly. As it was our first time the waitress suggested getting the sharing plate which included a bit of everything from the main smokehouse menu. It was amazing, and there was enough to feed at least three people (recommended on the menu for two). Cocktails were lovely as well, plenty of variety but staff will also make classic cocktails if requested.

The semi-open kitchen means you can kind of see your food being cooked and the decor is unusual but cool, with three heights of urinal in the men's loo - they really have thought of everything! Hickory's in worcester was found to be a good place to eat out with friends and children. With great tasting food served by friendly staff. A play area and mini cinema for children are also available with pop corn, while waiting for your meals to arrive. Once eaten the venue has a bar to retire too if you fancy an alcoholic/solf drink to let the meal go down. Well worth a visit and will be visiting again.

On the whole a good experience, food of a good standard. Personally a couple of grips, one music too loud, good but when you can't hear what the waitress is saying its too loud, even the younger members of our group commented on it. Second grip having your main course's bought to the table before you've finished the first course. We were asked when we ordered if we wanted the course's together or separately, we asked for separately, but mains turned up for 2 of our table had finished starter's. Of course we may just have misheard everything due to the loud music. One more little thing food on wooden board's, it looks great but it's a real pain to eat off especially when there's gravey involved, I may be getting on in year's, but plates were invented for a reason. Would I go again yes, wearing ear plugs ,ordering one course at a time and asking for a plate 🍽.

One of the best restaurants in the area; Especially if your looking to eat at a authentic American western restaurant! 🤠 Hopitality: 5/5 service was amazing! Chefs was incredibly quick. Food: 4/5 food was really good almost everyone loved their food. Wish their double cheeseburger could just have one patty though. 🍔 Also one had a suprise spice flavor in their meal that was not expected. 🌶 Building: 5/5 The layout had somthing that anybody could enjoy - Giant TV's for sport, the styles of the 80's with a modern twist, and it even has an in-built cinema! 🎥

Well, I've popped my Hickory's cherry, as so to speak. The best steak I've ever had, wished it was bigger as it was divine! The popcorn is a nice touch to start with, the complimentary water is a god send, I'd you're like me and spicy food makes your mouth burn. The unicorn milkshake is pretty interesting too!

Big fan of this place. Had one of the evening specials on a Thursday and I wasn't let down. The food was very delicious. The staff were pretty good although they did take an excessively long time to sort out our bill and we waited ages for a card machine. Overall the atmosphere is nice, there is a good garden out the back which is great for kids and there is a little cinema!!

Wow, what a find. Recommended to come here. Hickory's did not let me down. Came here on December 30th and the place was buzzing. The food was amazing. I had the meat platter for 1. The beef rib was to die for. Thankfully I was here with family so could help finish it. Only reason not 5* was not enough staff on to cover the tables and service was quite slow. Don't get me wrong service was great but I think we waited nearly 30 minutes to order.

This is the third time we have bern to Hickory's!! Every time has been perfect. The beautiful food is matched by excellent and friendly service. I totally recommend the brisket, waffles and chicken, bbq ribs, and the smokehouse platter. Both myself and my wife have enjoyed these meals respectively. Just to add, the atmosphere is brilliant too, the ambience and decor are just excellent!!

The service here is great, staff are very friendly and efficient. Food is brilliant, drinks are a bit more pricey but they have a great range. There is something for everyone. We were really pleased with the food but did have one piece of brisket that was mostly fat, the staff replaced it without us even asking for it, they go above and beyond. The best Hickory's we've been to. Came here for a birthday celebration, on arrival we had glasses of prosecco ready for us. Server was really friendly, chatty, and couldn't be more helpful. Our family live in Northampton and we live in South Wales. We met half-way in Hickory's, Worcester. Starting with lunch - the menu was really interesting, when the food came the presentation was excellent, and tasted wonderful. We were placed in a private booth called Mississippi, there was also an electric heater inside the ceiling to warm everyone up on a chilly day. The parking was totally free. After lunch we were allowed to leave the car there while we walked the length of the beautiful river which is flooded with swans. After our walk we went back for coffee and desserts. {we were way too full for them after the big lunch}. I'd also like to credit the staff. They were all extremely helpful, friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making your visit memorable. I'd like to especially mention Max, who went out of his way and served us both times. Thanks to everyone for making our afternoon so beautiful. We hadn't been able to see our family since being able to only have one day together on Christmas Day.

Worcester has been waiting a long time for a place like this. I first experienced Hickorys Smokehouse in Wallheath, which was top notch, no complaints great food great service, but I'm not here to talk about that one! Worcester Hickorys is just great, having been to the south in the US, this really dose feel like I'm back there. The food was well presented, well cooked and...Well great! I couldn't sample the ales, wines, spirits and cocktails as I was driving but I can recommend the cherry cream soda in a jam jar. We skipped mains and had the hickory platter which covers nearly all the mains. There wasn't one which was under par. The ribs were quite spicy however the Belly pork, pulled pork and beef brisket were outstanding. This was purely down to taste as it was all cooked to perfection and the meat just fell away from the bone. The seasoning/sauces were exceptional. The desert I had was the cookies and ice cream. Simple put, pure joy! Add to this top service at a steady rate from beginning to end....not too quick and not too slow with a very helpful and freindly atmosphere. This is top rate service. It's not cheap but neither is it expensive, for all I've said I expected to pay more and was very pleasantly surprised making this 5 instead of 4 stars! Hickorys is one of the best places to eat for me. Going back to the beginning they've not let me down maintained the standards and delivered. Thank you for a great evening Hickorys.

I think that the portion sizes (other than breakfast) aren't as big and impressive as the menu makes out (including 'challenges') which makes the value for money a little on the worse side. The restaurant itself is a good size, and no massive issues with service time or quality of food. There's an okay sized bar so you can always have a drink beforehand, but overall, I am a little disappointed with what this could be.

Arrived and we managed to get seating outside for us and our dog without booking online. We ordered the Corn Dogs, Chicken in a basket and chilli cheese fries. We were unfortunately on a time constraint and the staff were very accommodating and brought our order out in 20 minutes. The corn dogs were really good, not the first time we've had them here and they never fail to be good! The chicken tasted almost like KFC, a little disappointed with how many you get compared to the pricing, however. The chilli fries were super tasty, they appear to have normal cheese and then a creamy cheese underneath that adds flavour. To drink we had the milkshakes, one Raspberry and a Biscoff. Both really good. Their milkshakes are quite large, so they could be shared between two if wanted. At paid the bill once our food arrived as well to avoid waiting. Overall impressed with the service, the staff and the food. Our server Jasmine was very good with accommodating our time constraint visit. Thank you :)

It is stupidly expensive for what it is and as a chain of restaurents, has big enough supply chains to pass savings on to customers. 100% not worth the money. The food is edible though hence the 3 stars. First review: Having traveling across Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana I have to say that this was one of the best takes on traditional southern BBQ I've had in Europe. The whole experience from start to finish was pure Americana and wonderful because of it. You don't need to fly to Memphis because you have everything including the building and decor right here on Worcester! Would love to go again.

It's Hickory's and as always the food is good. It was very busy and not quite enough space for me for comfort. Some areas such as the handrails are very obviously not being cleaned very often as they are sticky, but most things were clearly cleaned thoroughly.

Visited recently for Sunday lunch. Food was stunning! Sadly the service did not match the quality of food. We were there for over 2 hours and had to ask each time if we could order (drinks, then mains and then again for dessert) flat iron steak was cooked perfectly, the garlic butter mushrooms are some of the best mushrooms I’ve ever tasted and the waffles and ice cream dessert was to die for. Fortunately the slow service hasn’t completely put me off because the food was so good! But I don’t suggest going with children if yours are impatient like mine. If you’re out with a group of adults and you have plenty of time on your hands then it’s worth putting up with as the food really is that good. I assume being a university city that most of the waiting staff are students topping up their beer money and are more interested in what’s on Twitter than clearing you plates and taking orders. If they could address this, it would be a truly amazing experience. But hey, you’ll always pick faults wherever you go as long as you are paying for something. A worthy 4/5 overall.

Food and service great. One caveat. We refused the sneaky service charge that so many restaurants now add. The manager, in his subtle, snarmy way, let us know this displeased him. You'd be forgiven for missing this but it was was manifested clearly to my eyes. However, I understood this was his way of showing support for the our server who was apparently a new starter. I told our server directly that we prefer to leave cash on the table. The server was a good guy. A good employee. Note: This is during the covid-19 Eat Out to Help Out campaign. Perhaps the manager might bear in mind that people may be happy to take advantage of a government subsidy too without this insidious extra charge. After all, tax payers will foot the bill long term. Dear manager, some of us are watching our cash even if you're getting governmental help. Restaurants may wish to nudge the general public towards accepting this stealth tip. But I suggest the general public stick to discretionary tipping in the form of cash. The next manager who gets smarmy will get an earful.

Went to a soft opening of this restaurant last night and the experience was excellent. Everyone was friendly, food was great and building was so cool with outdoor seating, a fire pit, ping pong table and even a children's cinema. Went with a group of big lads who had the sharing platter which has everything on it and is great value for money. I had a steak that was so tasty and nothing like the price of over priced steak houses. Try the Hickory's Pale Ale, really tasty. Cant speak to highly about the place and no i don't work there! I just love it when hard working companies get things right and don't charge you a fortune.

My wife and son spent the evening at Hickory's in Worcester for our 11th wedding anniversary. It was my first time although my wife and son had visited before. I absolutely loved it. There is a large outdoor area for children along with a small cinema room showing short films so children can be entertained. The bar is very much American in style with music and American football shown on the screens. I even learnt the rules of American football with the aid of a Hickory's two page guide. The menu was fantastic and the quality of the food amazing. This is definitely going to be a regular place to visit for me.

Great experience,the bar staff serving 4 or 5 at a time (a show on its own) the table staff never stopped. All in all a great afternoon thankyou. PS the meals were awesome.

Great place, really friendly staff who made sure we had everything and all was ok. Food was really good, we went for the platter for 2 and couldn't quite finish it all. Delicious!

Very, very decent. Fair drinks price, which was a pleasant surprise. Service slow to start then a little mush mash, with none of 4 or 5 really paying attention. Tried to pay want allowed. A few, from the table of 14/16 had paid in bits and the chap just wanted to now take one more payment, although it was fine to pay in his when he eventually got around to it. At that point we'd waited 20mins. Water was tap, not what you'd expect. Pains me to say as I'm a believer in water is water. I was grateful but this is a review for all I guess and it certainly isn't refreshing. Tables cramped. Up against a radiator and they were backless seats which meant it was stuck in my ribs throughout. Toilets fine. Children's cinema a great touch for the explorers. Will 100% be revisiting and would hope it'll be better when quieter/less busy.

Great place, nice welcome, very friendly staff. You get way to much food then you can eat (that's a compliment). Food is very good, best place i have been so far in the UK.
